An amazing shop! Had some ski boots fitted here, and received incredible service. I have a strange pair of feet, and they were able to make the boots fit my feet which was a transformative experience after many years of pain in rental boots.

Amazing service from Russ at Craigdon, my first ski boot fitting was incredibly detailed with a lot of information/explanation given as to what he was doing and why.
There was no push to upsell more expensive options, even though I could have easily been swayed.
An extra option added was insoles as they would benefit my foot shape, I’ve now added these in my footwear also and after less than a week they’ve made a noticable difference.

Really good outdoor shop. Great personal service and also good recommendations of local spots. All the staff were proper legends and really knowledgable.

Excellent store, plenty to see although clothing seams to be taking over, definitely less actual equipment on display, especially in the Darts section which is what I was looking for on this visit.
Rude staff, no complain about the products
Almost everything I’ve bought from this shop (and I’ve bought a lot of things) has been bad. I bought a cycle which is really heavy and slow and has had to be brought in due to multiple problems. Some things have been defective and had to be returned. I honestly think this shop has made my life worse rather than better. Many things are expensive as well. The main good thing is that the staff are friendly and helpful, but unfortunately the corporation seems to have cancelled this out.

First no staff name badges to refer to names.
Finished shopping upstairs and took the escalator to the ground floor. I was 10 yards away and heard the radio “watch the guy with the reusable bag and perform bag check”. As many customers, I have no issue at all with bag search, my issue is with communicating through the radio with all customers beside the “line manager” hearing as well as customer close to the other customer service.
After I paid, I went upstairs to the guy and told him it is inappropriate to communicate in this manner and if I were you I would have went downstairs and spoke with the other colleague. He insisted that he communicated in appropriate manner. Shocking and disgrace especially if it is Sport Direct policy.
He even did not say at all we apologise for this!! I asked him in front other customers, how would you feel if it happened to you, no response.
I am really disappointed from such customer service and wrote a formal letter to the complaint department.

Although the goods that they sell were very good in my opinion they charge a lot more than shops that sell the same specialised clothes and merchandise
Went to Craigdon in Aberdeen for a ski boot fitting and for bindings for my skis. Was served by Russell, who was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. The service I received was incredibly good and personable. Would 100% recommend for boot fittings, technical advice and general Snowsports kit! My boyfriend also bought a helmet and was served by Russell and received excellent service.
Went in today to exchange my winter trousers which I had bought a bit short from the Inverurie store.
Within seconds the right ones were pulled out and ready to try on. Even went and got a different size from the store just in case.

Good selection of goods in a well laid out shop. Got exactly the Rabb jacket I was looking for....and at a great price!

Lovely customer service and we got winter boots for the little one.
Great shop. 60%off of all stock. The most helpful young woman assisting me with jackets. Came out of the shop with boots, jackets and gloves within 30 mins at a fraction of the original cost.
Been there today looking for a pair of shoes, and I would really thank kerin for the amazing customer service, she really answered all of my questions and guided me to the perfect pair.
My partner and I had an exceptional experience with Robert, going through options for walking boots. Robert is a font of knowledge. We learnt so much about aspects of walking boots and came away with our dream boots and the parting line “Get out there!” Robert, with your help, we certainly will get out there, thank you! The Cotswold Outdoor in Aberdeen is a lovely place I especially liked looking at the camping gear for my trip, and the staff here were lovely in assisting me with this, I'm glad to see the shop is still here and it's a great place for those who are looking for quality goods.
I've been attended by one of the nicest person ever! She was so helpful and nice, I give the 5 stars for her! Also, the hiking boots I've got were on offer, very cheap (£20) but the quality felt like £100 honestly. My hiking boots felt so comfy and walked literally all day and not even once felt any discomfort, so happy with my purchase (thanks to the staff member who was brilliant).
Buying my first bike in 20 years. James in the bike workshop spent a good amount of time with me making sure the bike I wanted was a good fit, adjusting it and setting it up for me. Really friendly and took his time despite being very busy with customers and bike set ups. All of the other staff were also very helpful, really impressed!
Very disappointed that this place is closing. I have had many great items from here. I will say the staff are excellent, and very welcoming and helpful.
Excellent service from Robert today when I came in the Aberdeen shop with my son who is doing Duke of Edinburgh. Robert's knowledge and advice about walking boots was invaluable. He was very kind and spent ages with us giving additional advice about hiking. Thank you

Spent over 80 pounds on goods. After paying, realised before leaving the store one of my items was wrong. Store could not refund money and only could give a voucher. Heads-up. #pfft
No one assisting at the foot/ trainers department, we waited for 20 minutes and still no one, we had to eventually go up to the cashier and ask if someone was serving at trainers and the answer was a definite no and they then proceed to walk away , I shouted them back and ask to get help. Had it not been that I was there with my autistic nephew and he had eventually found a pair he liked after searching other stores I would have not waited and just walked out. It wasn't as if the store was busy as it was dead. Not a shop I go to often but as a paying customer I expect at least some type of decent service and politeness. This was very lacking here so no wonder the store was empty. I for one will not go back,
I love decathlon and I am very loyal customer, from all the decathlon store I went to, this one is the worst one I saw. poorly merchandise, no tidy up done. Took me 20mins to find the right tennis short matching the description on the peg. + The store is half empty.

My kids are always delighted to go in and pick some of their favourite Sneakers, football boots, swimming accessories, etc. There is always one or two discounts being applied to products.

I think Decathlon has surpassed Sports Direct as our choice for sports clothing. Good value for money, less to no queue on checkout. Good collection for Adults and kids. Click and collect available. Two storey building the lower section is for clothing, gym and shoes. Upstairs you will find sports equipment.
Good service, staff knew their stuff. Parking tight but very handy to collect trainers. Brilliant.

We visited with the intent to buy a new waterproof shell for my wife and a pair of waterproof trousers for myself.
Unfortunately as we looked around we became aware of a young lady following us around the shop, she asked twice if she could help I explained we were just looking thank you but she continued following us .
This made us feel very uncomfortable so decided to just leave it and went to Craigdon around the corner and managed to buy then there.
Definitely won't be visiting again.

Rude staff! On several occasions staff have harassed me and my kids whilst shopping, on my last visit my 4&5 yr old were told to stop touching/playing with footballs which I find shocking as most kids would want to purchase a football especially right at the till,
Union street store is not child friendly wouldn’t recommend for families.

Poor service with return of expensive boots that failed after a few months. Told by tiso online to go into nearest shop to drop off for repair or replacement. Aberdeen staff member said couldn't find sale in their database and so couldn't accept them. Accepted after showing email receipt, told I would be updated on progress shortly. Didn't happen. Two months later, and after several emails to them, given credit note for cost of boots instead of money back. Some young staff quite rude and lacking knowledge of stock. High prices and more staff than customers. Looks like this place is doomed.
My wife bought some trainers/walking shoes here that were a good price. Stuart, was very helpful and friendly and is an asset to the store. I bought and paid for them but to save carrying around the shops, I left them to pick up later. He took my mobile number in case there was a problem. Couldn't have been more helpful. I picked them up later without a hitch.
It's a nice store, packed with a wide selection of sporting equipment, clothing, and other items. You can find everything from jackets to shoes to underwear to footballs, hockey sticks and everything in between. It's quite pricey, but the items on sale at discounted prices are really affordable
Very nice Sports shop on John Street. I had seen it many times but never went there. Fantastic selection of mountain hiking shoes, jackets and other accessories. Expensive but totally worth it. My wife purchased Merrell Walking Shoes and I bought Salomon XA Pro 3D. Very courteous staff and the plus point is that there is free parking in the back. Highly recommended.

Had a wonderful experience speaking with a lovely gentleman. He was very friendly and helpful. Helped me choose a good pair of walking shoes at a good price since I am so indecisive and gave me a friendly discount due to me being a carer, the gentleman said it was the least they could do to help out carers who have worked through the pandemic.

We bought a lot of stuff from James in the Aberdeen store. He helped us pick the right items for us for going to the west coast. He also told us where we could visit. We spent about £400 on all the items we needed including a warm jacket that was perfect for the hike - it was equivalent to the North face one that would have cost £ 300 just for that alone. The coat he recommended was £140 and we bought camping stoves, thermals, two hiking bags - he helped us pick the correct size. hook on cups tops and trousers, walking sticks thermal flasks and a pocket rocket. We were well prepared and pleased with the correct purchases for us starting out. Quality was superior to what we were used to. Much appreciated !! Will be returning to get another pocket rocket as they're lightweight and so handy! Thanks James!!!
I went into this and I was followed around and was intimidated by this victimized by this person that works in sports direct he was very confrontational and very and extremely and disgusting so I made a complaint to the police about him and they said I was being victimised they have taken note and they have told me I should take legal which I am going to do as my experience was extremely stressful
A great range of products and really helpful staff. In particular I'd like to thank Bill for his time and effort in finding the right pair of walking shoes in the right size for me. Got a great pair of Merrells in the end.
