Super interesting. We had an amazing guided tour in English and learnt a lot
A non English speaking guide escorted us through the 4 rooms we were allowed to see (in the order dictated by her) and stopped us from going into the wood crafts room as they were just starting some work in there.
If they knew this in advance she should have taken us to that room first. Before the work started.
Exhibits were pretty but labelled Silver Plate, Copper Tray etc.
I could work that out for myself. Needs more meaningful captions.

It's not a very special place but it's good for children and good for you if you want to enjoy view of the city on carousel and the ticket is 3300 drums
For a city with such a rich and long history, thus museum is very poor. From the outside it looks impressive, but the inside is small with little to learn from.
Really nice museum with lot of beautiful Armemian artisan handicraft
Besides the landmark facade of the Art Centre, the exhibits inside were definitely worth a visit to appreciate. The art pieces were avant garde and fascinating. In addition, the panoramic view of the surrounding area on the top level was terrific. There was no entry fee!

by any religion you should go there to feel the energy and beauty of this place, the door are opened in days and the peoples are very kind and friendly.

History Museum of Armenia showcases a wide range of rooms, periods and interests. The highlight for us was the Aïvasovsky rooms!
This is a must-see in Yerevan. The museum is small, but well organized. The fortress was the highlight. Although a bit neglected, it was still amazing to walk around the ruins and enjoy the awesome views of Yerevan and mount Ararat.
A museum and art gallery although two separate entries are required both included with the Yerevan cars which can be bought from an office at the side of the building.
I really loved this place. We went there at night and there was music, entertainment and fun rides for kids and adults as well. There is a monument, mother of Armenia statue with eternal flames 🔥. During August it was windy there. Visit this place and you will like it especially at night. Sometimes crowded. You have few shops with snacks and live food to try it out as well. Average cost. Recommended.
The mother Armenia monument is impressive with a a simple museum inside. There are tanks and other vehicles outside. Then surrounding park is a bit run down and stuck in communist times. The abandoned restaurant is cool although you can’t go inside.
To get here you can go up to the cascade and walk about 10 minutes. Or take a taxi.

Yervand Khochar's museum is very informative and beautiful.
Amazing place to go to after having visited the cascades! (Victory park is a 5 minute walk from the top of the cascades). You can go looking for the abandoned Aragil restaurant where you’ll get stunning views
It's a little out of the way but it's a good spot to see the mountain, the monument, as well as their memory of their territorial wars. There are things for children to play with as well.
A neglected but really cool museum in a splendid Soviet building decorated with gorgeous frescoes, it's a real pity that this museum doesn't seem to have gotten any love or budget for decades. The collection is somewhat small but extremely well captioned in English, giving you a good insight into life in Urartu, and has some interesting objects.
The possibility to actually hike up the hill and see the ruins of the fortress makes it even better, but the ruins are defiled by graffiti and the explanatory signs sun-bleached.
There is potential here, but it's currently wasted. This museum reminds me of the fantastic "Museum of the Mausoleum of the Nanyue King" in Guangzhou, China, and I can only hope that in the future they can get the budget and expertise to learn from that museum and restore and elevate the Erebuni museum to the world-class potential it could have had.

Everything was good the staff was friendly but this room staff on floor 4 next to this picture attached was literally waving me bye that it seems like I came twice she wanted to say I am not welcomed here to see pretty unpleasant, I should have taken photo of her but I don’t want her to be on public platform but I hope management will notice it, thank you
Though the displays could need much more context, the items here are very impressive and definitely worth seeing if you like folk art.
A very bad museum, that totally squanders its potential with poorly presented artifacts and an uninspired presentation that for some reason randomly skips ahead straight from antiquity into the 19th century, with zero explanation of what happened in between. There would have been potential to make this museum a good exposition on Yerevan's history, but it fails utterly in this regard, being so confusing, random and poorly designes that it almost leaves you -less- knowledgeable when you walk out.

An underwhelming sight in a dark and grotty park, especially in comparison to the vibrant water-splashing fountain park next to it.
Beautiful art awaits you inside! It is easy to move around and enjoy art pieces. You'll have an artistic journey between floors.
What I like is that there is a nice park leading up to the hundreds of stairs with multiple Fernando Botero's statues, permanently on display as well as many other interesting full sized art. There is shade, a nice view towards the top and many seating areas along both sides to sit, relax and take on the view. Both sides of the park are lined with restaurants and cafes with outdoor seating. This park comes alive in the evening with locals and tourists strolling about and many climbing the stairs to the top.
THere are three levels, I think to the top. The pleasant color of locally quarried stone line the stairs, alcoves and buildings along the way. The stairs are comfortable in their width and height for anyone to comfortably make their way up. There are plenty of options to sit along the way, mostly the medium walls bordering the vegetation. Each level provides an option to rest and take in the view below. As you get to the immediate top...the is unfinished construction which seems to have stopped a while ago. Deeply excavated ground with some laid foundation and rusted rebar columns left bent out of shape. I hope they haven't given up on this. THere is a way to go past this fenced of area along a maintained path and a short walk through a neighborhood uphill. A further climb up the stairs reveal a square with the monument on one side and a spectacular view of the city and mount Ararat on the other. The square is dirty, appears not maintained . There are benches for sitting there as well. If you have enough energy I would recommend walking a bit further up the street and going under an underpass to the other side of the street and taking a short walk toward the tomb of the unknown soldier with a large statue, an eternal flame and again beautiful views of downtown.

There is no ac in the museum. There is 3 floors but there is very little to view.
Very nice cultural museum.
Love Cafesjian Center for the Arts. They host fantastic events, have a wonderful museum store with beautiful artwork, have well-known artists’ works presented to the public and have converted Cascade Complex to a museum in the open air. Their exhibition halls and music hall are stunning and a must see. I was at their music hall earlier for Vardan Ovsepian’s concert and absolutely loved it. The background of the stage is made of glass and opens a gorgeous view of the city.
The most popular place in Armenia. there’s a lot foreigners travelling at Summer time. A lot policemen walking around here. I have been here for twice. The people very friendly.

One of the best thing in Yerevan to visit. Loved this place. You can enjoy traditional music in the night. The place is full on entertaining. You will get some peace and city view from the top of Cafesjian.
Saint Sargis Vicarial Church is a beautiful church which has a beautiful exterior design made of white limestone and features a large dome and four smaller domes. The interior of the church is equally impressive, with intricate carvings and paintings.
However, the atmosphere inside the church can be quite overwhelming for foreign visitors. The church is often crowded with locals who come to pray and light candles and the air can be thick with incense. Additionally, the church does not have any English-language signage, so it can be difficult for foreign visitors to know what is going on.

The construction just amazes me, almost the size of the Liberty statue, then there's the museum inside with a brief history about the construction, and finally, the military vehicles are something that you just can't miss and awaken the little army fanatic kid inside... Last but not least; mount Ararat! Who said you get to see it only from Cascade or Khor Virap, this is your destination too! Check it out, very close to down town!
The exhibition is not self-explanatory, so it lacks proper description sometimes, especially on the upper floor (20th century). I asked for a guide but they were busy at the time.

A brilliant gallery of modern art and design like no other. Exquisite views from every level and surrounded by sophisticated cafes and restaurants. A delight.
Fabulous place amazing artworks and open to public with free of charge. On the ground floor you can find the store to buys some exclusive items. The prices are very good and affordable. Would suggest this place for leisure and art collectivists
Guys are very polite and nice to chat. Quad bikes are in good shape and a joy to ride! Great views along the track. Very much recommended! Definitely gonna rent again.

I liked the museum it's well organized, but the lighting inside is so bad the translation to English is not so clear with some strange words, the stuff are helpful. paid 3500 AMD for two tickets 🎟️ each 1500 AMD and Additional 500 AMD for taking mobile photos, after all it's good to pay a visit if you're near by .
Beautiful little church next to s much bigger church. They share the same grounds. No reason not to call on really.
Must-see in the area. I accidentally ended up my walk after visiting Gum market here and it turned out to be a satisfying experience.
Not only viewing interesting history of the ancient Armenia, but I could also view the panoramic city sightseeing from above.

It’s the statue of Mother Armenia. A must visit place whenever around the city Yerevan. The best city view from here. Kids playing area, the city view is fantastic. Having good parking space. We enjoyed the place.

Armenia may not be known for its waterfalls… or even water. The completely land-locked country is home to the largest lake in the Caucasus, Lake Sevan, but other things come to mind when you think of Armenia and it is definitely not water
Kind of in the middle of nowhere and out of the way, but an amazing historical monetary and tomb. You can go down into the tomb itself, which is pretty cool.

Very small but condensed with information and artefacts. Dive into the history of Urartu, the fallen empire which is counted as the starting point of modern Armenia. History of foundation of mighty Erebuni citadel which was the beginning of Yerevan. Along with museum entrance, ticket grants you an access to the ruins of the citadel high on the hill. State of the ruins is not that good but a feeling of touch to the 3k years old history is worth a jump. From the top you can enjoy the high overview of southern part of the capitol. Mix of ancient, industrial, rural, soviet and modern styles is the current reality of Yerevan.
A must visit museum if you’re into Urartu history. I wish the museum was bigger and had more artifacts showcase. Thanks to the administration for the great work.

Impressive monument!
Also loved this and glad the great reviews convinced me to go. I also, like many others, had never heard of this artist and I now LOVE his work, even buying two prints in the small gift shop after. I didn’t pay for an English tour but one was going on whence I arrived so I ended up just joining that one, gratis. The guide, Lillit I think her name is, was excellent. Excellent English and her passion for Kochar’s innovative work really shines through. She even had a a short video started for us on his famous piece, The Disaster of War. Although photos it seems are technically not allowed (a very silly and detractory rule), she let it go so GREATLY appreciate that! Was there easily 1.5 hours. The museum is small but with the excellent guide making his art and story come alive, worth it. Only detracting one star bc I had to use the loo and the woman cleaning the bathroom practically scowled at me, making me feel very uncomfortable. Like I was in the wrong!!
Utterly fantastic modern art display and sculpture. Truly amazing it’s free. Loved to wander around at my own pace. Not very crowded when I went.
Unfortunately there was a major renovation when we went there and there were only 2 halls open for viewing. Even so, the museum offered a lot of ancient artifacts to see and enjoy. We spent about an hour and could easily spend more.
Tickets were very affordable and with huge discounts for kids. General admission was roughly $2.5 if I remember it t correctly.
Also location is perfect, right in the heart of Yerevan. Parking might be an issue but you can take subway and arrive in 3 minutes on foot from there.

Very small and very ruined, but very historical place. Could be a nice stop on the way to Tegher monastery and Amberd

Nice museum with many interesting artifacts and antiquities. Staff is very cautious of patrons since there have been instances of sabotage and theft in the past. Understandable considering the fact that there are highly valuable items in this museum. Will go again.

Artist and sculptor Ervand Kochar’s (1899-1979) heritage is one of the most interesting phenomena of the 20th century Modern Art. In Paris (1923-1936) he created works which placed his name among the greatest – those who determined the progress of the European and the world Avant-Gardes. Kochar is the founder of Painting in Space or “Peinture dans L’espace” – a new plastic expression including time as the fourth dimension. European art critics considered Kochar one of those “pioneers who had transformed our perceptions about art in a few years and overturned the world….”
Nice museum to see Armenian folk art. Made by different contemporary artists these pieces represent how people used to live. If you take a guided tour you can also discover the meaning of each ornament and each piece, that will help you to discover armenian culture better.
I loved it. Didnt know about him, but the tour guide who happened to be Yervand Kochar's grand daughter gave us detailed tour about his work and life. It's a must visit place in Yerevan.
An ancient and historical church, belong to the very long time ago, when Armenia was between the Roman empire and Persian empire and caused many wars between these two empires. This church has beautiful paintings of Christ as well as the Virgin Mary, which is still a place of Christian prayer and worship. If you come to Armenia as a tourist, never miss this beautiful church. Apart from this beautiful church itself, the place where the church is located is also beautiful, because of Healthy and clean air due to the bushy trees and greenery.

It is a rather small museum but anyway with a lot of interesting things to see, especially if you speak Russian and understand everything. The staff is really nice and always tries to help you out. It is worth the visit because it does not take long to go through.
It's one of the most beautiful churches in Armenia, and actually the main in Yerevan.
You will enjoy the unique Armenia ancient patterns on traditional equipment. However, there is not enough description which tells history or story behind.
Hier lernten wir die Grabstätte der armenischen Ashakuni Könige kennen. Auch wenn die einstige Kirche aus schwarzem Tuff sehr stark beschädigt wurde und nur noch die Grundmauern erhalten blieben, ist es ein sehenswerter historischer Ort.

Erebuni Museum was established in 1968. The opening of the museum was timed to coincide with the 2750th anniversary of Yerevan. The Museum stands at the foot of the Arin Berd hill, on top of which the Urartian Fortress Erebouni has stood since 782 BCE. The City-Fortress was excavated, some parts of the structure were reinforced and restored, and the fortress was turned into an outdoor Museum.

We spent there around 2 hours, while the museum area is so small, but our guide was telling us so many details about Kotchar's life, his challenges and inspirations, what symbols he put into every exhibited work. We totally emerged into athmosphere where artist lived, created, suffered, loved.. I didn't knew the story of his life and it was really breathtaking...
Couple of works are so impressive that you may want to spend hours staying in front of it and listening about every symbol hidden in details of a great master. Beside this, we also spent sufficient time in souvenirs shop and couldn't choose which one is the best of the best - we wanted to take all of them with us :))
Our guide also advised to join their facebook page to be notified about art events or visit them on Saturdays for film-watching. Will do it with great pleasure

A revelation of work of an artist little know in western art. This little museum and the tour was one of the best museums I've visited. And I've visited 100s around the world. I travelled to Armenia as a tourist but I'm not Armenian. I wish I could go back.
Small but really nice museum exhibiting some folk art in wood, beautifully carved, fabrics and metals. Each item is described in multiple languages including english. A real treat highly recommend.

The most beautiful waterfall I've seen ever
The Bronze and Iron Age sections are poor. The 18-19th century section is interesting and the modern one is mostly from the Soviet era.
