We engaged Burleigh Pools to design and construct our pool in Burleigh Waters.

We initially met with Glenn, who stepped out multiple designs for our space, followed up by a detail drawing. I went back and forth when Glenn, changing the size of the steps, tiles and equipment on multiple occasions over a matter of months, nothing was a hassle for Glenn.

After executing the contract and agreeing on a start date the team communicated with us effectively and arrived onsite on time, as agreed to commence digging. From there we achieved each construction milestone and were kept well informed of when the next stage of the project would commence and how long it was expected to take to complete.

We were afford two Project Leads who we were available to communicate with at all times, from early in the morning until late in the evening. Again, the level of communication was exceptional.

I found all the trades used by Burleigh Pools to be fair and reasonable, they did what they said they were going to do, when they said they were going to do it.

Finally, their service after completion has been great, I've spoken to the team on multiple occasions in relation to the chemicals required to balance the pool and again they have been more than happy to help!

I cannot recommended Burleigh Pools highly enough, they have been in business for in excess of 30 years and I now understand why!

Rang to see what products they have to treat stains on tiles in pool reply was can’t help me & perhaps go to a tile shop. My suggestion for a company to be successful is train your staff in the field you operate in. The girl obviously doesn’t know any better but no excuse for the company owner. Disappointing indeed

5 stars! Our pool build was done on time on budget and all staff were great to deal with. They especially helped with the design and layout to make things work for an unusual space. I am still going there for ongoing maintenance and testing, they are very helpful.

Daryl and the team at Bali Pools have been amazing in taking us through the whole pool building process. They built us a beautiful pool that compliments our home. The quality and service has been incredible and did not stop once they had finished the pool. The owner is always there to help if you have any questions after the pool has been completed.
I would highly recommend using the team at Bali Pools if you’re in the market for installing a new swimming pool.

Have been going to Burleigh Pools for over four years now for my chemicals which are reasonably priced plus they test the pool water as well. My pool sparkles all year round. Staff are always very helpful and friendly and always greet you with a smile as you walk in the door. Check them out, you'll be glad you did.

Keep your hours the same on a Saturday. What does it matter that it's Winter. I turned up at 8;40AM expecting the store to be open like it has been for the last 20 years that I've been frequenting the store. Only to find a very small sign next to the hours of operation sign declaring Winter hours for July and August.
You have me email and mobile number for advices on pool testing reminders. How about an SMS or email about the change in open hours on a Saturday!!!!

Burliegh Pools were so good to deal with in the planning and installation of my pool. I’m really happy with how everything turned out. The whole team were so good to work with and also the continued support after everything was done. I still go in and get my water tested monthly and grab whatever I need. It’s been a great experience and I’d recommend anyone thinking about a pool to talk to these guys.

We are as delighted with our second pool & spa by Burleigh Pools as we were with the first one they built for us. From Glen's awesome initial concept design, to the day the pool was filled, the process was well managed, the quality of workmanship is excellent, and the end result is stunning. Had my pool built in 2016. The project was flawless and professional from start to finish. The guys are friendly and explain everything at every stage. Two friends got their pools done by them as my experience was so positive.
Since then their after care is unreal. I get my water checked regularly at their store and the help and assistance is awesome. I call up with an issue and one of them pops around and sorts it out immediately. These are only minor filter issues.
Can't rate this company high enough. I always look at reviews for my bigger things. These guys are the best, simple!

Ideal Pools have been fantastic, we had long delays on our home build and they just stepped up with little notice every time we needed them. we used to get a coffee after physio pool session but since Cafe been taken over it is hit & miss if they will even make coffees! I understand not all staff are trained on the barista machine but don't put a big coffee sign out front if u are then going to put a small sign on counter saying No coffee or hot food available!!!!!..

We contracted Ideal Pools to build our pool in 2014. Was not impressed by the arrogance of the people we dealt with throughout the process but was very excited to be getting a pool for our family to enjoy.
A short time after completion, the pebble coating separated in a section of the beach area. Ideal Pools returned and patched this up.
In 2022, we noticed severe separation occurring in the bottom of the pool. We contacted Ideal Pools and was advised we would receive a return call, we never did.
The separation eventually cracked, and the coating started breaking away. This occurred in multiple areas of the pool floor.
Now, we have a pool that is totally unusable. Our attempts to contact Ideal Pools have been ignored.

I would like to highly recommend Zac Stephenson, Sales Manager. He has excellent customer service skills, was able to answer all my questions, provide a great product and price. So far he has made it a very smooth and efficient process up to signing of the contract. I am looking forward to working with the rest of the team at MPB.

Had a great experience with Kevin and the team at Lazy Day. All the work on their side was done very quickly and professionally with a great end result. They were also very flexible and accomodating in waiting for me to get the surrounds done. We love our new pool and would happily recommend Lazy Day.

Good place to swim but the (men's) facilities are disgusting. Only one of the three showers has a door, there is mould on the walls and the hinges and locks are rusting.

The toilets also look like they haven't seen a brush in years.

Update: Rejoice, cleaning has finally been done. Noticeably cleaner than last time I was there. Doors are still on the way apparently.

The swim school is great.

Zac went above and beyond to achieve what we needed. His communication and knowledge was outstanding. Worked hard to find the best solution to achieve our goals.

The construction crew certainly had many years of experience building pools , we never felt like anything was out of their hands . Lazy Day pools kept us updated on the progress of the work throughout by text and email, and met all construction deadlines discussed . The result is a beautiful pool that our friends and family say is stunning . We are looking forward to many summers of enjoyment, especially since we beat the summer heat by getting the pool installed on time !

We would like to thank Master Professional Pools for finishing our pool install after the original contractor went under. They were very professional and on time and made the process easy.
We would like to make a special mention to Neil (Sales Professional). He was extremely engaged in what we were after and applied his wealth of knowledge to help us make our decision. From the 1st appointment quotation stage, all the way to completion and after care was of the best level I have seen.
He had already down preworks before the 1st appointment, Dial B4U Dig details, areal photo, etc, took actual measurements and plenty of notes and photos to make this all possible. Non of the opposition companies did this.
The quote arrived quick and he helped us through this process to signing the contract.
I was able to contact him at anytime.... and he always had a solution, or at least advise to point me in the correct direction.

the place is amazing and its fun to go especially with the 32degree indoor pool though there's a lot of rude elder people since my mum took me and my cousin to the swimming pool and when my cousin was splashing around, just being a kid.

an elder couple was splashed, the husband didnt care meanwhile the wife started to scream at my cousin and the staffs just told us to stay away and my cousin was crying for the rest of the experience.

although we came back and we had fun.

Very helpful when you go into shop. However, not good at keeping customers up-to-date or returning calls on same day with slow delivery of ordered items and planned installation. Have paid a significant deposit several weeks ago and am still waiting.

their site to register does not even work - no support and they do not acknowledge any appliance for warranty even if they have a serial number as unless you can show proof of purchase the appliance is deemed not to be theirs - I will never ever buy any appliance that is even remotely associated with Astral and avoid "my fluidra"

Had a Astral spa gas heater installed it only lasted just over 2 years.
They will not stand by their product. Totally get waranty is 2 years , ours lasted 2 years and a couple of days. When we were dissapointed and unsatisfied with their response, their agent stated that they didnt even have to come out and take a look.
Very poor product, dreadful value for money. Not worth it!! beware.

Lazy day pools provided a great pool on a budget. Construction timelines were well inside expectations and Kevin managed all the subcontractors effectively. I was particularly happy with the tiling quality.

Best pool we have had to-date, yet just after warranty period I broke the filter handle - asked Sundollar to get me the part and they just fixed it free same day. Not often that happens these days but they have been building pools a long time so have the old values!! If building or renovating you can trust Sundollar to do the right thing!

We have just had the pleasure of having an amazing pool built by Eddie and his team. From our very first enquiry right up to handover, and beyond Eddie has been extremely responsive, no phone call or email unanswered, and no issue with our endless questions. There are no problems or issues for Eddie, only solutions. His team are professional, courteous, skilled and extremely friendly. The pool turned out better than we ever imagined, was on time and completely on budget. Not only is Eddie an absolutely genuine guy, but one that goes above and beyond for his customers. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone for a pool or building project. If you are looking for the best team for your job, look no further, you have found them.

Definitely not ideal to use , 7 months from paying deposit, no customer care, communication throughout the build , they are rude to deal with the office will hand up if you question anything they do then will tell owners your difficult even tho your the paying customer. Was the worst reno experience yet !

Supplied a pool interior product from a different company that doesn’t make the colour we requested. Poor finish with uneven surface.
Pool interior was not finished properly. 47 individual delamination spots.
Took the pool company over 12 months to attend to inspect.
Wiped their hands of us and said lodge a complaint with QBCC knowing that we were outside 12months from pool completion to lodge a complaint.
O’Sullivans pool interiors were contracted by Lazy Day Pools.
Both contractors lied and didn’t want to acknowledge.
Never again would I use these companies.

We are located on the gold coast

After quotes from other pool companies, Master Professional Pools won us over because they would coordinate everything we wanted from our pool build. From pool installation, electrical, fencing, organised certification, concreting, tiling and plumbing. Competitors only wanted to do parts and offered their recommend preferred suppliers, leaving us to coordinate the work and pay different invoices.

Their whole team from Zac from sales, Brett, Jason, and even the tradespeople they subcontracted to were friendly and easy to work with.

Before we even got a contract, we got a second visit with Jason, who walked through our initial draft design to ensure our home and land could meet our pool and surrounding design requirements.

Prior to proceeding with Master Professional Pools, we went through our contract thoroughly and they answered all our questions in a timely matter and met our requests. No question was too hard or silly.

Due to resource shortage, stock availability and unpredictable weather, they did manage our expectations throughout the process. But surprisingly, they did deliver earlier and quicker than their initial timelines.

Throughout the pool build, Jason would email or message keeping us in the loop of what was next, when to expect it and by who.

We signed contracts in August, the dig started 31st October and we were in enjoying our pool by 29th November. Thank you Master Professional Pools for a positive pool-build experience. We love our new pool and the workmanship of your whole team.

Master Professional Pools was recommended to us by our neighbour who is also building a pool for them in their new home. I would strongly recommend Master Professional Pools to anyone considering a fibreglass pool in the Gold Coast.

I want share with all people that are considering using this company to build a swimming pool.

Once we had contracted them, a day later we gave notice to them to cancel.
(Due to bad reviews and hearing of other issues)

We had paid deposit and they only have back half.
In Queensland law, the must be a 5 day cooling off period which that means that the full amount is refundable.

They are ignoring this and not providing details explaining why they only gave half back.

Anyway, I think cancelling this was the best result as I cannot trust this company with what they have promised.

Another company has assured 100% satisfaction of these services.

Is this the way companies survive in this day and age? Ignoring and refusing to engage with clients?

I hope you guys are more honest and do the right things.

Eddie and his team have been some of the most professional builders Ive worked with. They have demonstrated years of experience with excellent client service and high quality work. They have showed genuine care through out the whole process and have exceeded all expectations. I highly recommend their expertise.

My pool builder used all Astral equipment. Not a single thing lasted 2 years. Chlorinator buggered, acid feeder buggered, Even the robot cleaner has carkt it 3 times.

These guys will do anything to avoid warranty and create obstacles they know you won't achieve. Save yourself the hassle and waste of money, looks for another brand. These guys are ripping Aussies off hard.

After many painstaking hours of researching pool installations and meeting with contractors we had the pleasure of finally meeting with Zac. He did a site visit and then he showed us around their showroom. His knowledge and confidence in the products, as well as his polite and friendly manner is what got us over the line. He listened to what we wanted, offered suggestions, idea's and finally managed to get both my husband and I on the same page so we could agree on what we were having, all while having fun along the way. We cant wait to have our pool installed with them and look forward to enjoying all the benefits of the extras we added. Thanks Zac !!

Total Concept pools are the "go to" for swimming pool construction.
Jaz and Grant make a dynamic team from planning to handover no question was too difficult and we where made to feel part of the entire process from start to finish.
Backed up by Eddie Beith's knowledge,skill and genuine honesty this makes for a pool company with a real difference.

It took 7 months before our pool was finally full of water. We had numerous faults and problems along the way. Day before dig we were informed that there was no where to dump the dirt so this delayed initial start. Then the hole was dug and there was another couple of months before the concrete was poured. We went through a landscaper who they work closely with as we thought this would alleviate problems however the height of the pool was 130mm higher than it should have been. No one would take responsibility so we had to pay extra money for dirt to be brought back to site to level out the height. Apparently they also close for 6 weeks over Christmas/New Year with no communication to their customers and no voicemail. So 7 months later and we are over budget we had a very disappointing experience due to lack of communication with the company. They do not return calls and will not take responsibility for their work. If you address an issue they will ignore it. We are now 2 months with water and have realised we have a pool leak. After the awful experience we have endured I will not be going back to them to fix it even though they are liable for it. I just don’t trust that the job will be done efficiently or without causing more problems.

If” I posted a positive review Donemans offered to gives us $100 store credit….
Communication was poor right from the start of our pool construction. We never knew what was happening or when. After the hole was dug I spent two days scraping the mud off driveway, why would you expect contractors to be responsible for cleaning up after themselves? The we were hit with an extra truck fee and dumping fees…even though there was minimal rock. Hayden decided we needed two trucks for dumping even though they were only dumping just down the road, a 1.5km round trip from the job site. No one asked us if we’re happy to pay for the extra truck, which sat out the front most of day. We never approved the extra truck, but we were still required to pay for it. There was no communication around extra costs for the dumping at a site of their choosing, it was explained to us on the day as if they were doing us a favour by dumping so close.
The coping tiles were laid on a weekend and tiler brought his kids along. Why that’s ok, I have no idea. Once the tilers were finished we inspected the tiles and noticed the tiles were laid uneven and the grout lines were uneven. When we raised our dissatisfaction with this at which point we were basically told we were having a whinge and the tiles aren’t square, so it’s not their fault. We said we would have pod extra for tiles that were square, Kevin said we paid extra for the tiles we got. They ended up grinding the grout lines out to make them “look” square and even. After this we noticed we could see daylight under the tiles and the glue wasn’t evenly coated on each tile. Once again more stories about how they do all the pools like this and we are having a whinge and we don’t know what we’re talking about. Friends of ours were having a pool done at the same time and their tiles weren’t like that, we then contacted another company who uses the same tilers and emailed them photos. They also expressed their concerns around the gaps under the tiles. Donemans insisted the tiles were fine, nothing to worry about.
About a month after the pool was finished grout has fallen out of the tiles. For the past two months now I’ve been chasing them to fix it. After again being promised it would be done today, no one has has come to fix it.
To top it off the concreter they recommended has done a terrible job….but that’s a story for another google review….
The best of Donemans was in the office, the office and shop staff have been great and very helpful.
Overall if I was buying a pool again I wouldn’t be using Donemans and I wouldn’t paying invoices as quickly as they requested. They have certainly left a bad in taste in my mouth and I have also noticed some of these 5 star google reviews have been left by their own staff, that and the fact they offered to pay for positive feedback should tell you everything you need to know about this company.

Staff are fairly good. Saturday mornings are tricky for Parking lately. Limited car spaces ,as so many people there for children's swimming lessons. Have been using this facility for quite a long time. Amenities are clean, as is pool.

Clear Communication = Pool Perfection
Despite many homes, and a number of opportunities, this is the first time we have committed to a pool. Mainly because I am a pro at finding flaws in any building project, and second-guessing problems and issues. While researching (yet again) I came across Jack from Majestic Pools. Majestic is part of the Bali Pools family. Jack is one of those rare people who listen to what you think you want, and then translates it into practical reality. With a 10m frontage, we didn’t want to have the pool dominate the yard, yet we didn’t want a puddle either. It took a few meetings, phone calls, spray-paint, and Jack patiently pacing the yard to get to the point of signing on the line. And I am so pleased we did. An 8mx3.6m pool, with a ledge along one side! And somehow the garden seems larger!
Our construction started mid-June 2021, and we were swimming by mid-Sept. Daryl – Bali Pools oversaw the whole project from the terrifying day the digger arrived, to handover.
Bali Pools is half of the team – you are the other half. Yours is not the only pool Bali is building. You need to be available for the project to continue – access is needed, you may need to drop everything and pick tiles, or keep the dog out of the way. Wet weather may delay a digger by two days, which pushes out the time for other stages. A tiler may be delayed at a different site. So, when you know that work is scheduled for your pool – be available. Daryl does an amazing job of coordinating many pools and numerous contractors. But you need to play your part too. Make the payments as soon as you receive the invoice. The next stage cannot be booked until the previous payment is made. Remember the end goal, and don’t try to become an expert in construction – leave it to Daryl to have the headaches -not you.
Do speak up if something doesn’t seem right. Daryl gives you his contact details, and tries to keep you up to date on who is arriving when and for what task. But he has many projects to focus on, and you have one to obsess on. So, if something doesn’t seem correct – clarify. I did this with our pool fence – as I remembered a conversation that the fence contractor hadn’t been a party to. If I hadn’t spoken up, we may have been delayed on fence approval, and then the delay would have rebounded. Daryl is a perfectionist, and will call back contractors to fix or improve anything he doesn’t feel is up to his high standard.
An amazing feature from Bali Pools is that you aren’t just handed control of the pool once the water is in. Daryl keeps control for a little while, comes and puts in the salts etc, and generally keeps an eye on it – while encouraging you to start caring for the pool. Hot tip – he can get a much better price on a pool cleaner than you can – just let him know if you want a robot or suction cleaner. The robot is fantastic, and I have no idea why I was hesitating. After a few weeks comes handover, when you go through all the steps with Daryl or Ben (or both as we had) and learn how to look after this new investment. Even now, we are on our ‘training wheels’ and take the water to the pool shop, then send Daryl a picture of the readings. He promptly comes back with the recommended amounts of acid, calcium etc needed. Just making sure that our local pool store is on the same page as Bali pools when it comes to looking after our new addition.
To anyone considering a pool this is what you need to remember. For the amount you are spending, don’t try and cut corners by getting in some of your own contractors – Unless you have instant access to other trades who can seamlessly fit into the project timetable - just let Bali Pools project manage from end to end. You’ll be swimming a lot sooner, be well cared for, and be very happy with the result.

Zac has been an amazing sales rep. Zac has helped us along the way to navigate a pool and landscaping suitable to our needs. He has been extremely professional and prompt with service. No phone call or message is too late whether in or outside work hours. We are looking forward to our pool build and driveway.

We had recently moved in to our new home in Burleigh Heads and wanted to put a pool in, Total Concept Pools was recommended to us by friends of ours in 2020 and it was the best decision we made to go ahead with Eddie and his Team. Our new resort style free form pool is nothing short of amazing it’s completely changed our back yard. All the crews from sales, excavation, forming, spray creating, tiling and Rock painting, pebble work, and filtration were professional, friendly and extremely knowledgeable, thanks to them we have stubbie holders in our cave. Definately the best value for money. Couldn’t be happier and so thankful.

This review is written in the hope it will prevent other good, hard working families from going through what Ideal Pools have put my family through over the past 16 months, and we still do not have a pool. To say that this company is made up of disgusting, abusive, unprofessional, threatening, people would be a massive understatement. Not to mention they are mostly family members and as such there is little to no accountability whatsoever. However, if you are after a pool that looks great in the brochure, seems reasonably priced, is not built to the shape quoted, not constructed in accordance with engineering drawings, has excessive hidden costs, and is an overall defective crumbling mess then Ideal Pools may be for you after all. The problems with my pool are far too extensive to list in this review, however even after the QBCC directed them to remove and replace the defective concrete pool shell, they still could not construct a pool that complies with their own engineer requirements. Not to mention they poked 10mm holes in the pool wall, completely covered a pool light with concrete, and formed the top edge of the pool 45mm out of level over a 3 meter section. Yes, this was their second attempt to build a pool at my property, even with these problems it is a vast improvement over their first attempt. I encourage any potential customers of this company to visit my review on facebook where I will post images of their product. Also I would encourage you to send me a direct message and I can put you in contact with over a dozen dissatisfied customers, who will help you make an educated decision when deciding who constructs your dream pool. Trust me, it's not these guys. Now I will sit back and await their abusive, blame shifting reply, that's what they do.

Very hard to contact Astral Pools support, no contact phone numbers listed on their website which instructs you to click on the chat link which is non existent. After managing to find a contact phone number I've been on hold up to 45 mins at a time waiting to lodge a warranty service call. This is the second time our chlorinator has failed in the last three months and I've been waiting for 23 days so far this time for their sms message to advise me when it will be scheduled to be serviced. Multiple follow up phone calls to them get a response that they are busy and to continue waiting.

Firstly we wanted to thank Origin Pools for their professional service and advice. From our initial meeting Robert was always open and honest and commited to giving us the best quality product. Robert was onsite everyday during construction and was always very courteous when it came to working at our home. And the pool is amazing we couldn't be happier and feel we definitely got a much higher quality project overall than what others were quoting without a huge cost difference. What a team! Astra pools were the most unhelpful organisation. I am a qualified refrigeration and electrical mechanic with vast experience, Astral pools would give absolutely no technical assistance to me on there equipment. They told me to contact other people who work on there equipment which had been done over a period of 2 months to no avail the technicians kept promising but never turned up. The client has been suffering for months and the heat pump is just over 2 years old.
Do not purchase anything from them they don't care if it works only that you purchase it.
If I could give less than 1 star I would.

I would like to take the time to thank Robert and Katie very much for their outstanding service and commitment to a quality finished product. Their knowledge and expertise in design was fantastic and Robert was onsite as promised throughout the whole build process making sure everything meet his exacting standards - his friendly, helpful can do attitude was greatly appreciated. Lazy Day Pools is the best pool building company I have ever dealt with. I have had 3 pools built over the past few years with other companies and none of them even come close to the service and finish I received from Lazy Day. Kevin and Jo were fantastic at keeping me informed and progressing through each stage without a hitch and the finished product is the best pool ever!! We got exactly what we wanted and it looks fantastic, we could not have asked for more. They are an honest family business who take pride in their work and their tradesmen are all fantastic and courteous too. Our experience using total concept pools to build our pool was excellent! Thru the whole the process we found Eddie to be very professional and this made everything run smoothly. The end product was outstanding and we are stoked with our brand new pool! Thanks eddie!

Had Astral Pool equipment installed as part of the pool build. It started playing up within 2 weeks of being installed. Waited for a response in relation to pump noise but problem corrected itself. Then had problems with control unit constantly putting pump into start up mode. Again waiting weeks for a response after submitting an online service request as well as sending emails. Someone called out of the blue and booked a service. The serviceman turned up and replaced something. Fixed one problem but within two days another problem occurred. Control unit will not even start pump, is all over the place with its readings and the PH sensor drops in and out. Have been waiting a week after sending two emails. Have tried calling but as other reviews say, it is a waste of time. Waited 33 minutes before giving up...........buyer beware.

I am super excited to have a pool. I love the positioning of the pool where I can see the kids from inside the kitchen. The spa jets and water feature are my favourite. The construction was done incredibly fast in 2.5 weeks because I was in a hurry to have it done before Christmas. I tell everyone how fast the construction was. The grand kids can’t get enough. - Thanks Bali Pools.

Excellent team of experienced tradesman. Origin Pools constructed our pool and done all of our tile surrounds including the patio. The job was done in full on time and we couldn't be happier with the finished product. Thanks Rob.

They have two pools. One indoor heated pool and an outdoor 25m pool. The outdoor pool remains at 27°C. I tend to go around lunch time and there is always a free lane to do laps. The staff are also great. The only downside is that diving is not allowed...which is strange considering there are diving blocks.

Roberts knowledge of concrete swimming pool construction is next to none. We had received multiple quotes however Robert and Katies professionalism made them the obvious choice for us. We were apprehensive prior to building as we had a complicated design but our swimming pool was built to perfection. Robert was onsite everyday and with us every step of the way. Thanks guys we couldn't be happier with our new family pool.

We have just finished our pool and retaining walls with them. Love love love what they have created. Kevin, Brad, Dan and Jo always went above and beyond to ensure the work went smoothly. They tackled our steep block, built retaining walls and then the pool. Nothing was ever too much hassle, great communication throughout the process, fairly priced and very easy to deal with. Can highly recommend them.

As an aside, the temporary fencing contractor we used has been dealing with them for years and told me he’d never had any negative feedback about them! That spoke volumes to me.

Worst customer service. Corporate office worms trying to get out of warranty jobs. They really don’t like being called out. Incompetent staff with no idea how to find a problem. Broken parts. Excess water loss since installation of there product. Would never recommend again. I should have done a quick search on google to see the bad reviews they have on whirlpool. STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS.

UPDATE: Staff and technicians have serious attitude problems even though they were in the wrong as they don't have the correct equipment to test for faults.
