The Grounds of Alexandria is always busy, especially on the weekend so we were happy that we were able to get a table in the cafe fairly quickly as we'd just picked up a very hungry teen from the airport. Food was tasty as expected for the price but nothing to really rave about and the cakes were a feast for the eyes (though really too much buttercream). The downside was that we had to ask several times for a menu, my husband's meal came significantly after the rest of the mains, we ended up getting our own water as it never showed even after asking multiple times; even taking into consideration that the wait-staff was busy, we felt a bit neglected overall. However, the decorations and ambiance of the venue is fantastic.
I have known this place for a long time but I never had a chance to visit. So today, I invited my family there for lunch. And well, guess what, totally worth it! The foods are so delicious and well prepared, the garden views are awesome and staffs are extremely friendly (eventhough sometime I found that they were really busy with other tasks but they always tried their best to reach me, I can see their efforts to satisfy the customers). I will come back again at the other time to try out the rest of the menu :D :D
It is one of the best places I have been to in Sydney! The atmosphere, service and food is lovely! Love how it is pet friendly as well. I visited it with my hub, parents and fur babies (a husky and a cat). Evah who served us was exceptional. She was so kind and lovely! Definitely a 10/10 visit!!
I went with 3 friends to complete the Sherlock Room and had the best fun! The staff were amazing and a huge shout out to Lee for being an absolute trooper and putting up with our shenanigans.
12/10 would recommend if you want to test your friendships and have a fun experience all at the same time. Good luck escaping
Been here a few times, amazing location, amazing food, amazing atmosphere. Different zones and areas to enjoy. Had breakfast in the Cafe, was exceptional. Had the breakfast tacos and the bircher museli, and a very smooth coffee. They currently have a Mexican theme, and it's executed very well. Plenty to entertain kids, a lot of seating available. You can bring dogs into the venue (cats too apparently!)
This was a pretty big aquarium, my favourite part was the area and the tunnel with the sharks. But just my personal opinion, they had such a big variety of all species of fish and other animals. Overall it was a pretty fun experience. I loved the interior design of the place as well, it was very well done, considering the space constraints. There were a lot of interactive activities as well, which I enjoyed. A good place to visit if you're a tourist or just a marine life enthusiast.

Thanks for making my wife's birthday very memorable. Lotus honoured my request and really went above and beyond. Our family really enjoyed the food. The service was excellent and my nephew enjoyed the Water Dragon roaming around. Thank you Lotus group

Love this arena- you feel pretty close no matter where you sit. Saw Louis Tomlinson the this week, Cirque du Soleil last year and Niall Horan soon . Seating is comfortable and venue clean and organised.
We had brunch here and already cannot wait to go back and eat here again. Beautiful location, plenty of space, friendly staff making sure we were taken care of and of course incredible food. Already looking at the menu for dinners and waiting for the time to go!!
My favourite was the Penguin expedition! But wish the Aquarium was longer and had more to explore. Went on a weekday but was pretty crowded. Its always better to buy tickets in advance to avoid the long queue.
Admin was good but ebery glass in the zoo is disgusting in the morning
Such a fun experience! From start to finish, the puzzles were engaging, the atmosphere was immersive, and the teamwork required made it an unforgettable adventure. Highly recommend for anyone looking for an exhilarating challenge.

This course is horrible to play.
From one to next hole, it’s just too far.
I went there to play nearly 10 years since last visit, it becomes even longer and I was hoping for improvements.
I have never been any other course like this in my 40+ years of golf life.
Do something about it!!!
We love visiting this place as everyone of all ages can appreciate the beautiful marine life. Service was good, however the first arched tank is getting a little tired and probably needs an upgrade. Everything else was great.
Had such a great time here with my friends. We did the witch's potion room together and it was definitely a memorable time. Our game master Rolando did a wonderful job assisting us with the whole experience. Will be back again to try more rooms!
We tried the witch’s potion room and were so impressed by everything! Challenges were so well thought out but didn’t feel impossible to solve. Would 100% come back again and check out the rest of the rooms. Great experience and the game masters were so friendly and helpful- top notch!
Very enjoyable hour in the Sherlock Holmes room. Extremely well done and complex puzzles in a number of linked rooms. We failed to escape, (probably a bit too hard for first-time escapers) but we had a great time. Many thanks also for the friendly welcome and support during the game. We will definitely be back.
It's always nice to stop in every now and again.

Weekends are busy, but just after lunch is the best time to get a seat... you just have to hope the cakes haven't sold out!

Great coffee, nice atmosphere, and excellent deserts. Lunch isn't bad and worth a try of you are peckish

Very nice French cafe that serves tasty food. Service is super friendly. Only issue I had was a few flies bothered us while we were there, suggest the owner to apply sth to eliminate the flies.
I absolutely love the story of The Grounds, the concept of having something very green and farm-like in the middle of such an industrial suburb.

The food itself is very good and not too expensive (but certainly not cheap either).

Loved the Christmas decorations and walk as well (despite the crowd!). The Christmas pastries were excellent.
Great photo spot within Sydney area. Always beautiful decorations, lots of visitors. Love the coffee! Dog friendly is a bonus! Love to get back there sometime with my pooch🐩. For wedding reception here, it will look so elegant and vintage, feel like a princess in the enchanted forest👰👸!
The place was so nice! You can have brunch, take photos here. They will change the themes from time to time. In January 2024, they still decorated in a Christmas theme.

The food here was normal but the coffee was fantastic. The prices here were on average.

They provided breakfast, lunch and take away menu. Take away food are more cheaper!!!!

Last but not the least!!!
Card payment will be charged 1.5% extra!
Came here a few times with family and have been stunned at how amazing the rooms are! We did Frozen King and Witch's Potion. Design was amazing and the props were so fun to use on the puzzles. Rolando did an amazing job as Game Master with us!
Celebrate Australia Day at the Eastlake Club, great food and drinks, reasonable prices, sports bar, family friendly. All welcome!

Well organised, not too crowded and crazy, especially if you interested to come with kids to watch sports game. Note: you can’t take metal water bottles inside, just plastic. No backpacks allowed inside. Only if they contain medicine or baby diapers, then it’s allowed.
Dined here for the butchers block night on Wed. Were walk in’s & was made to sit at a table directly in front of the giant fan blaring although there was plenty of available seats with the guy at the front advising “these are the only seats available”. We were there for quite a while & didn’t see the free tables being used so not sure why he couldn’t seat us elsewhere. Apart from that the waitress serving our table was fantastic & friendly. The food was amazing however I do not think the bone marrow was worth getting, was more onion that marrow. Highly recommend ordering the rib eye & all the sauces were great with it.
The stadium stands as an expansive marvel, offering not only generous dimensions but also impeccable ventilation and an extraordinarily open layout, creating an atmosphere of grandeur. The staff, marked by their exceptional friendliness, not only welcomed us but also graciously guided us to our seats for the show, exemplifying a commitment to excellent customer service.

As the event unfolded, the stadium came alive with an electrifying energy, resonating with the powerful sounds that filled the space. The sheer volume and intensity of the experience added to the excitement, making it a sensory delight. In this environment, every detail contributed to a perfect evening, catering to a diverse array of viewing and entertainment preferences. Indeed, this stadium stands out as a superb venue, not only for its size and openness but also for its ability to create an immersive and unforgettable experience for attendees.
We had a lovely Sunday roast lunch. Your staff were lovely and accommodating. The chicken and pork roasts were delicious. I had the summer spritz which was super yummy and fresh. We also enjoyed the chicken butter and sourdough. Loved the cheesecake too. We will definitely be back, best roast we have had so far!
Croque Monsieur was delicious and tasty. Could have had more ham however. Side of mushrooms was huge. The courtyard out the back needs to be cleaned up a bit. Grease trap odours and flies prevalent.

A fantastic family experience in live sport! Being a member is a definite advantage with access and discounts. The merch stand is just too busy at the beginning unless you get there super early. We picked up our merch after the game. Double header included Flames and Kings games in the Kings ticket we purchased. Great atmosphere.
One of the best places to visit to see so many species of water animals at one place one might not see in an entire lifetime. My personal favourite is the Dugong. Wait till you see it. It will become your favourite too. What a majestic animal. And then there were sharks, Penguins etc. A great learning experience. I am so humbled with nature's creation and feel more responsible towards preserving wild life including sea animals.
I have photographed multiple weddings at the Three Blue Ducks and if you are a foodie or you are looking for that industrial vibe for your wedding then this is your venue. With outdoor areas for your ceremony and canapes to a large reception room and dance floor area which features high ceilings and exposed brickwork, this venue really has it all. There are also many great photo spots dotted around the venue, all of which are within walking distance. The staff here will also stop at nothing to ensure you and your guests an incredible day! Would definitely recommend.
This was a pretty small to average-sized aquarium, my favourite part was the dark UV light area and the tunnel with the sharks. But just my personal opinion, I do not know this area of expertise, but the tanks looked a little small for the fish. But overall it was a pretty fun experience. I loved the interior design of the place as well, it was very well done, considering the space constraints. There were a lot of interactive activities as well, which I enjoyed. A good place to visit if you're a tourist or just a marine life enthusiast.
Fantastic aquarium. All the sea life you can imagine including penguins! Definitely worth the time and the money. The shark tunnel alone made this visit worth it. I’d recommend going in the morning as it was pretty busy even when I visited at 10am so I can’t imagine visiting at peak hours.
Great attraction to see for young and old. Gets really busy during the school holidays so go early but just be patient and expect to wait at times. Lots to see and very fascinating inside. Sharks, sting rays, dugongs, jelly fish, starfish, and lots of types of fish, etc. Watching the feeding is also good fun.
Completed the Jumanji themed room and it was awesome. Just the right level of difficulty and we enjoyed it thoroughly. Tiffany was great and she was very patient and clear with her briefing and ensured that we were clear before we started the session. Will definitely be back for the next room. 👍
Totally brought back the kid in me. I can literally play for days here !!!

The person in charge/owner is totally so friendly !!! So much so that my daughter had to have a photo with him !
Best Sea-life Aquarium for sure!!! 🐠🐙🦈 Lots to see and learn. It’s really worth the money if you have the time to walk around and observe these animals habitats. So many sea animals which you wouldn’t find anywhere else either.
Highly recommend the behind the scene activity as well. It was very educational & gave depth to what we were looking at.
What a HUGE course! Thankfully had a buggy otherwise would have got my weekly steps in one day. Course is well maintained and is challenging. Some great views of the city from different spots. There is a little cafe half way around, so good to stop and take a break if you want to. The club house is modern and clean. The food we had (we were doing a golf day) was excellent and served with a smile. The staff were great too! It was my first time to this course but hopefully not my last.

Been to this venue so many times, from conferences, concerts, and the latest was last night, stand up comedy show.
Gabriel “fluffy” Iglesias was performing last night, sold out tickets, approximately 20.000 people were enjoying fluffy performance last night.
Venue is well laid out, many food vendor well spread and security seems very tight on last night show.

The venue is very well laid out and its a very well run machine with staff routing 20k people around the place pretty efficiently. The utilisation of mid strength varieties of alcoholic drinks was a major disappointment imo and the cost of said drinks was basically highway robbery. But all up i guess its not the venue yer there too see its the entertainment which was top class.
Incredible atmosphere 👏
Service good, but felt rushed during our meal. Our food showed up intermittently, with three plates arriving - one not showing up until making our waitress aware.
Food was presented beautifully, however the consensus on the table was food was only warm.
The entire experience is beautifully presented, there has been no expense spared with interior design and plants wall to wall.
Going in the afternoon, midweek is a must to beat the crowds.
You need to dine in, in order to walk the candy lane at Christmas 🎄
Recommended spend per person is:
Adults $30pp
Children $15pp

Very disappointed. No rides for little ones. $12 for 6 shrivelled up hard ciniman donuts
Expensive, watery beef roll
Expensive entry fee considering what's on offer
Not enough stalls
$4 for a can of coke
The only good thing was the band, teenage boys belting out Foo Fighters
Was great to see young musicians
Not really sure who gets the entry fee as it's a community park
Think the entry should be free
If the entry fee went to the young bands I'd be happy 😊
A brilliant day! Really interesting to learn about the evolution of the consoles from the early '70s and the growth of the industry a few years later and what role each console played in it. Heaps of consoles out to play as well with plenty that I had not heard of including and extremely old and rudimentary Pong console. Staff member working was terrific as well. Clearly loves his job which is so important in a gig like this and made it a really comfortable environment to hang out it.
I sat outside and it is a busy road, not much to be done about that. However the table settings were high class and the service silver all the way. Very tasty French food. Would definitely recommend.
The best ham sandwich I've ever had. Flawless and exactly what you'd expect from a perfected ham sandwich - ham not too salty, bread perfectly toasted and buttered, egg on top perfectly cooked, tomato sauce not sour. But still just a $25 ham sandwich. Very cheeky to charge almost the same for a ham sandwich as a beef burger with fries ($26).
Excellent if you're of a certain age ....
I was hoping to re-live my youth & play Space Invaders or Galaxian but they weren't here.
Some interesting retro games & consoles to bring back your childhood memories. 👍
We recently had our wedding reception at Three Blue Ducks in Rosebery and we couldn’t fault it. From our initial conversation and meeting with Jess, we felt informed, relaxed and comfortable. Jess is amazing at her job and was always there to answer any of our questions. The food and drinks were delicious and the service was glowing. We had the most amazing night thanks to all of the staff and everyone has not stopped going on about how good their meals were! We will be back every year on our anniversary to relive the best night of our lives. Thank you team but a massive thank you to Jess who made the night what is was! xx
I had my first ever escape room experience with Lost Reality and I’m thankful I did because they made my time there so memorable! I love the aesthetic of the room that we did and the puzzles were fun with the right level of challenging. We had a lovely game master, Rolando, help guide us through the escape room. He had a very positive attitude and gave us hints that were helpful but not too obvious. All-in-all I will come back again excited to try the other rooms they have to offer!
Came for breakfast. Sevice n Coffee were nice, food was ok, not up to the hype. We ordered almond croissants and French crepes. The croissant was not french style, but was good priced at $5. Crepes was plain, small portion for the price. Presentation could be better, there was no glaze, no icing sugar... no fresh fruits, no orange candy...(menu didn't mention fruit anyway) Overall good place for coffee ☕️ in the area, breakfast may need reconsider.
Excellent venue for a family Sunday lunch. Very family friendly and a great vibe. The roast beef was superb. The accompanying ‘pigs in blankets’ were OK although I prefer fat, not thin, sausages. Also, the deconstructed sticky date pudding was sublime and an outstanding long black to finish. My thanks to the team at Three Blue Ducks.

Amazing experience! Incredible hospitality. Special thanks to the staff and chef for juggling the menu to meet our dietary requirements. We had a great time on Father days lunch at this restaurant.
Had the best time today! All the old school games! Spent hours here and were even allowed to stay for a short while after! Great value for money will 100% be back whilst in perth!!
A great time for all ages, an impressive variety of consoles and games to play. The museum section is very cool, it's fun to point out your first consoles and see how far the technology has come.
This is a nice little French styled Bistro, friendly staff, clean atmosphere and a nice outdoor area. I was there for breakfast. They have some nice French style options. I went for the crepes with jam. Nice crepes not the lightest, nice jam nothing special. The coffee was good. Nearly $50 for two of us- on the pricey side. It is styled as a bistro not a cafe, it does look like it would do evenings pretty well. But Breakfast was a bit lacklustre.
I would go back to try the night time menu, but wouldn’t go out of my way for breakfast again.
What did you think.
Beautiful location that wonderfully accommodated our large group.

Located in a stunning, well-lit building, the vibe is modern and upscale, but casual.

🍽️ Each plate of food that came out was delicious, and catered to our vegan guests as well. Roast lamb, crispy potatoes, pumpkin pasta, tuna tartar tacos, cauliflower curry and a selection of salads.

🍹 Full bar, great drinks.

Highly recommend!

🚘 Street parking was a nightmare on a weekend. Just keep driving around and nab a spot. The dedicated parking lot was completely full, but probably not as big of an issue on weekdays.
Three Blue Ducks in Rosebery offers an exciting dining experience set in a vibrant and bright industrial space. Adorned with plants and filled with natural light, the venue creates a lively ambiance, although some effort could be made to reduce noise levels.

The menu features an enticing array of dishes, each impressing with both flavor and presentation. From the fresh and vibrant rock oysters dressed in soy and ginger to the tender 12-hour slow-cooked lamb and the crispy roast porchetta with crackling, each bite was a delight. The highlight was the sticky date pudding paired with honeycomb and miso ice cream, a deliciously innovative combination.

Service was generally attentive and friendly, despite a slight hiccup in taking our order. Once that was resolved, it was smooth sailing, complemented by an excellent selection of wines, cocktails, and mocktails.

Prices were reasonable, reflecting the high quality of the food, making it an excellent value for money. The restaurant was bustling, creating a lively atmosphere, though it was sometimes hard to hear the wait staff.

Overall, Three Blue Ducks presents a dining experience I would recommend to others and gladly revisit. The creativity and care put into each dish coupled with a positive ambiance lead me to give it a rating of 9/10.

A peaceful, tasty oasis in the midst of the city. Food was great, (weekend, set Yum Cha menu) service was fabulous and as I’m a slow eater they slowed down the pace of the dishes a little for me. The beautiful surroundings of the Chinese Gardens made for an ambient and delightfully tasty dining experience.
Very clean café so that's why it was picked, excellent location from erko station for a short walk. Table and chairs outside overlooking the park was fantastic. Vibe on a Friday morning was nice and chilled. Meal was excellent with the presentation - see pic. Staff were very good.......

Only thing was the chai latte was 2/10 - shame. They need to visit some places to improve on that.
Was awesome.

If you have any love for retro video games and their history, or even just video games in general this is definitely worth a few hours of your life.

We just spent 2 1/4 hours there and if it wasn’t for having to catch a flight home could have spent plenty more time.

My 12 year old was genuinely gutted we had to leave.

The guy working there was incredibly friendly and helpful as well.

Overall a fantastic experience.
Really enjoyed our lunch. The service was a bit slow though overall the food was great! Much better than i expected compared to the notes in the reviews. Food is great, a bit limited on choice though delicious and served at perfect temperature.

Great spot for a relaxing Yum Cha by the Chinese gardens! Totally worth it, and at the end you get a free ticket to explore the gardens!
We had such a great time playing with all sorts of different consoles.
Strongly recommend to call in advance if you are planning for a long visit (we booked for 11:30 session and had to leave at 1:00 as the venue bas booked for a private party)

Visited after finding out the old owner of Feedbag had his burgers on the menu. Fitout is great. Burgers are amazing (as expected). Lunch specials are great and kids eat free on Wednesday and Thursday nights (there is a kids menu). Little outdoor grassy area for kids to run around. A little play area or some plastic putt putt on the little green and the families will be rolling in!

Everything was fantastic, good food, great service, great vibe and view. The only downside was price point. $88 per head for a yumcha is relatively expensive in my opinion. But understandable given the location of the place, right next to a touristy attraction (being the Chinese Garden)

Yum cha with a relaxing atmosphere, great service and for gathering, we had bottomless lunch. Love the mango pudding which not inc on the bottomless menu. The selections not as much as other yum cha places.

Complimentary visit to the friendship garden so beautiful 🎋🏯🥡
Unplanned most favorite stop while I’m Perth! We visited Perth during the summer and knew it would be hot but we didn’t plan enough balance of inside and outside activities so on day 1 the kids were dying from the heat so we tried to find a good museum to take them to and this popped up. It took a little convincing to get them to agree to go but once we arrived it was all up hill from there! What a cool little place! We didn’t make a reservation and were lucky when we arrived that a school holiday event/booking was just leaving. The place isn’t very big but it’s jam packed with all the old video games from our great childhood and old TV’s to go with it!! It was such a trip back in time that we didn’t know how to begin and then didn’t know how to end! One amazingly great addition to this great great place is that your entry fee (very cheap) allows you to play all the games for the full day!!! You can come & go all day which is unheard of! So if you really want to try and break that old Atari record you can start your challenge in the morning break for lunch & let your fingers rest then come back again to finish off the day! They even have a snack bar (chips & drinks & candy bars) if you don’t want to leave. You will be very surprised as the condition of the games too…you can see some wear but really they are in good condition. Also, if you don’t see a game you are looking for just ask the owner and most likely he has it hidden away. And speaking of owner…if I could give a rating he would be a 10! Super friendly, super happy and amazing shop! We are only visiting but we saw the signage for byob trivia nights, birthday parties and other events that make this not only a great tourist destination but a great regular place to visit if you live in Perth. I’m not into video games at all but highly recommend you to go there and support this great little hidden gem. Your inner kid will thank you for it.
Eastlake Golf Club

Eastlake Golf Club in Eastlakes (go figure?)⛳️ has reopened with their new 1.7 million dollar renovations to the Clubhouse.

Have a well earned beef after completing your 18 holes or head in simply for a meal at the bistro. New emerald green banquette loungers partitioned to the bar with greenery, it’s comfortable and casual and plenty for both the drinkers and diners alike. Brand new high chairs, though we recommended a toy corner might be a nice addition to keep the kiddies occupied.

The clubhouse has a new bistro with all of your bistro favourites; a bunch of appetisers such as wings and garlic breads, mains including burgers, schnitzels and steaks, as well as a kids menu now (wasn’t there when we visited)

We had a steak and barrarmundi - both cooked well, compliments to the chef.

Be sure to visit with the family and enjoy the new vibes

Bistro review

After the recent renovation we were interested in the bistro and it did not disappoint. It was the second week since re-opening and the food was great!

There’s no kid menu available but our kids enjoyed the bangers & mash, schnitzel and steak. A few items weren’t available but everything we ordered was delicious.

We preferred the sirloin over the rump. The salt and pepper calamari was delish! As was the bangers & mash!

This will definitely be on our regular rotation! The staff were also very friendly; food came out fast and great value for money!

Very happy this will be our local!

We had one of the banquets and honestly could not fault any of it. Every dish was so tasty, especially the oysters with yuzu dressing. Quality ingredients used and flavour profiles that everyone loved. Also the service we received was impeccable; friendly and efficient. And of course the atmosphere and ambiance is so tranquil, being inside the beautiful Chinese gardens. Definitely recommend coming here for an all-round amazing experience.
One of the best public courses in the eastern suburbs. Make sure you take a cart as the walk between holes is long. Well maintained fairways, fast greens and friendly staff. Make sure you carry your own drinks as the shacks aren't open throughout.

I was absolutely disgusted this year. Website said open at 11 am and didn't open until just after 12. A few of the stalls weren't even ready at 12-30, was told to come back in 15. Didn't see any of the major rides working. I know it was hot but people were always there having fun. Where were the animals?? We'll think twice before going again considering we've been going for the last 10 years.

Highly recommend any family to go, actually, young couples/friends also, even if it's just once. Unfortunately it's not cheap, so take advantage of the fireworks display... by the time they start though, the littlest ones are asleep! Heaps of rides and sideshow alleys... Heaps of fun, but be prepared to spend a bit!
