Peaceful beach with dog-friendly shore. During spring and summer you can catch a fish van in the parking lot overseeing the shores with lots of fresh fish and live oysters! The waves are pretty tamed here as well, in my opinion. Just remember to mind your steps while walking down the stairs!

Beautiful spot to relax and swim. Plenty of shade options and a steep grassy bank which gives you a good view of the beach. Lots of picnic benches and other seating to choose from. Good amenities and food options nearby. Only a short walk through the mall to get to Manly surf beach.

Nice local beach
This beach ⛱️ was my favourite in Perth. It stretched for a couple of kilometres, and there was barely anyone there. Nice clear waters, but there is the possibility of sharks or Trevor as he is known by locals who frequent the shallows occasionally.

Nice, long beach. Good for sunset views and photos. Not the best for swimming as it is crowded with both locals and tourists. The beach is decently clean and along the promenade there are buskers performing, making it a perfect place for a walk with great vibes.

I love this place so beautiful to see sunset 🪽
St Kilda Beach was my first beach experience, and it was pretty awesome! The soft sand felt great under my feet, and the waves were exciting. I loved walking on the pier and seeing all the cool stuff around. There are lots of places to grab yummy food nearby, which was a bonus. The sunset was stunning – seriously Instagram-worthy!

Beautiful family beach! There is something for everyone: shallow waters, great for swimming and SUP. Sand Dunes Kiosk offers the best burgers, coffee, and smoothies right on the beach. Great toilet/shower facilities are available, and ample car parking is found in the nearby streets.
Walked from home along the walkway to Main Beach Parade and home again 17th September

Lovely beach to walk along and watch world go by. Popular with tourists and locals. Several eateries along esplanade and usual facilities, also many beach volleyball sets, ready to use. When I was there (charity walk) men meeting to display their classic cars, so something for everyone.

St. Kilda Beach is a picturesque coastal gem located in Melbourne, Australia, offering a vibrant blend of natural beauty, recreation, and a laid-back atmosphere. Its golden sands stretch along Port Phillip Bay, providing a perfect backdrop for a variety of activities. The beach is renowned for its stunning sunsets, casting a warm, orange glow over the horizon.

This beach boasts a lively atmosphere with an array of cafés, restaurants, and shops along the nearby Acland Street, making it a popular destination for locals and tourists alike. The vibrant community of St. Kilda adds a unique character to the beach, creating a welcoming and inclusive environment.
This is one of my favourite beaches in Perth's north. For the most part, it is a calm, and beautiful beach. When it's wavy, it's the perfect swell for groms to practice on. We even saw a ray swim past us once! A lovely beach (I just wish it had a bigger car park!) 🐚

Best place to bring kids to watch pelican feeding. The feeding will start around 12.30 pm. There’s free parking nearby but you must go early in order to secure the spot. We also had our lunch at the fish and chips restaurant where they feed the fish to the pelicans.

Great place to take younger children. Much more protected then the lagoon as the reef fully encloses the north section to create a pool area. Not as busy as the the main lagoon it self.

Has its own stair access and showers.
Not Wheel chair accessible unfortunately.
It backs onto the dog beach so you may get a visit from dogs that have wandered too far. good to know if your kid is scared of dogs.

Caution if seeing up close to the north of this beach as sharp and hard rocks a below the sand and water. have seen people injuring their feet running in this area.
Mullas can't be beaten! Holds the crown for best beach in perth in my books! 6am till 9am is the best time to head down. Water is beautiful, calm and crystal clear!

Nature is so amazing! The birds know when to arrive for feeding and disperse when it is over. The interesting thing is the row of birds at the back! They stand there patiently and in an orderly manner even during feeding time, so civilized!
Located opposite to manly beach, Manly cove is lovely. Despite being where the ferries dock it’s quite clean. Can be in the shade for a lot of the day

Williamstown is a nice place for a visit. You can walk along Nelson st and go to the back where you have a great view of the water and shops coming in. At Williamstown the main street has a number of restaurants, shops and cafes. The pier to take the ferry to the city has the HMAS Castlemaine where it is $8 for adults to go on the ship and look around. There is a park near the pier. Recommend for a day trip

A City Beach accessible by train from Southern Cross Station, and 5-10 minutes walk from Williamstown Beach train stop. The sand is a bit gritty and coarse, but generally a swimmable beach as the water is generally calm, but watch out for rocks and seaweed. Popular with the locals, families, paddle boarders, snorkelers. Check the water quality with the EPA.vic.gov.au website.

I like to take the train all the way to the last stop at Williamstown, and then do an easy, beautiful, calming, coastal walk from Point Gellibrand Park, perhaps even stopping for some green respite at the Botanic Gardens, and ending the walk at the Crystal Steps.

Food choices is very limited - the ever busy kiosk or a new coffee place next to the Park. Or stop at Footscray on the same train line for a meal. There is clean public toilets at the Botanic Garden.

This beach is located on the harbour side of the Manly peninsula and is calm in virtually all conditions, making it a good option for those with small children or if you prefer to swim in the ocean but dislike waves. Located right next to Manly wharf and adjacent to the Corso and a wide range of drinking and dining options. Be aware that after heavy rain the water may be dirty and not safe to enter for a day or so.

Fantastic beach, with dogs allowed off leash during certain times of the year and and within certain hours. Sea can be quite shallow at certain times which is great for dogs, and there's some interesting rock pools available when the tide is out. Cafe and restaurants nearby for quick breaks and a great dog beach altogether.

Beware of the wild birds they're very snappy with young kids, but the display is remarkable and well worth catching. It's amazing how big the birds are and how close you get to them. Arrive early to find a park, they're unlimited on weekends but 2hr only through the week. Fish and chips right next to it is yummy but you have to wait as it's very popular. The beach has shade structures and trees adjacent.

Popular for peace and quiet, rest and relaxation. It is also “Home for Kite Surfers”, so if you’re a water baby, love the surf and enjoy the waves 🌊 but don’t particularly enjoy being around mass crowds. You’ll appreciate this landmark for sure.

Sophisticated housing nearby and only a short walking distance from amenities.

The hub of Surfers Paradise isn’t all that far either.

Enjoy.

Lovely little beach with netted area for the little ones which gives you the sense of beening miles from anywhere but your actually at the doorstep of and up tempo city with the Manly ferry, taxi stand and all the buses at your finger tips with 50meters and then an amazing array of shops, cafes and restaurants. if only parking your car would be easier Manly would be my Number 1 beach to go to. However Australia is blessed with pocket of beaches like thid so that takes it down a bit. what it does have once a year is Sydney harbour challenge and bridge2beach which is a true spectacular that brings competitor from all over Australia and also brunging the best International crew.
Great place for families, brilliant for kids, nice calm water and the colours are amazing, definitely ome of my favorite beaches ever!

Great alternative to the main Lagoon.

Even though there's no lifeguard patrol here, it's much shallower than the main mouth of Yanchep Lagoon, and better enclosed from the wider sea (sharks would ground themselves before getting this far up).

There's always a strong current running out to sea throughout the Lagoon, so care is still needed with with younger children. But unlike the main Lagoon, most children should be able to stand up if needed, and you won't get swept out to sea, as you'd pass through the life guarded section on the way out (summer weekends only)!

Car parking and finding your own piece of sand is also never a problem here, unlike the main Lagoon, which is often is packed to capacity.

Adults looking to snorkel /swim would probably be better served by the deeper upper Lagoon though (which can be walked/waded too in a few mins.

Caution is needed walking on the exposed reef, particularly in bigger swells, and people have been killed here in previous years. If you get knocked off ocean -side, you're going to struggle to get back on it without being seriously bruised at best.

Great Beach area running from the wharf down to the Manly Surf n Slide. West Manly Cove beach on West Esplanade is a very family friendly beach as the kids can play away in the pool. The western end up near Manly Pavilion is quite protected from the wind when there is a southerly coming through. Quite a few tourists get off the Manly Ferry and think that this is Manly Beach. #letsguide #manlycove #manly #sydneyharbour #sydney

It is a lovely beach, soft and fine sand, you can walk maybe 10 meters inside the sea and not have the water to more than 15cm in height, the waves are moderate maybe useful to learn to surf. It is a recommended place to go with the family, has restrooms toilets and free public showers near the beach. It is easy to access by bicycle or car and has parking. I liked going there, I will return with my family.

We missed the Yanchep lagoon, ended here, it is not far from each other. There is a big signboard indicating it has no lifeguard, strong current etc.. the car park is spacious, there is a playground, toilet around.
