We are regular customers for the last 2 decades even though there were few management changes, my family came specifically to have fish head mai fun for lunch, however the tall bespectacled lady told us the item was sold out then we requested for fish slice mai fun again she told us no more for the day. Therefore we ordered other food instead, while we were halfway our lunch, we noticed the next table who came about 5 minutes later than us was served with fish slice or fillet mai fun. We confronted the staff before we left and asked why she told us the fish head or slice/fillet mai fun was sold out for the day while the next table was being served. Earlier the same lady also rudely asked the elderly man whether he is ready to place his order or vacate his table space for others, while he was actually waiting for two more guests to join him shortly. Without due apology for her bad customer service and ignorance, I would suggest the new management should look into improving their staff service and mannerism.

We eat and get takeaway food from here regularly, however the service recently have been terrible.

Today we called in to reserve a table for 20mins later. The staff claimed that they weren't able to hear us even though we were shouting into the phone. They were rude, had no patience to listen to our request, hastily asked for our name, and then told us to come now.

We travelled over 15km, only to arrive to a full restaurant with no reservation for us. They gave no apologies and no acknowledgement of their mess up. They tried to give us the outside table but didn't pay us much attention while doing so. We left shortly after as it was clear they did not want to serve us.

They take their customers for granted, let their success get to their head. They've forgotten the importance of customer service.

We've also realised that recently the take out portions have decreased significantly, not even filling half the container at times. When we dine in the portions are much more than what we get when we take away.

Better off going elsewhere.

We ordered Hokien Mee, Kway Teow, Veg, and hotplate Japanese tofu. Malaysian Hokien Mee was average, veg was good and well prepared, and Kway Teow was justified.

They are OG in Bullcreek, but also OG at horrible service. We don't expect 5 star service, but a smile won't break your hips. To the 2 young girls, hospitality isn't for you. Side note, their food is standard and taste even better when you're squished right next to another customer.

Great food at a very affordable price. Attentive and quick service, had crry laksa and was tasty. Would like to come back and try more dish next time.
Dickson Asian Noodle House is a northside institution and has been a go-to for decades but unfortunately its rusted-on customer base are having their faithful patronage rewarded by being fleeced and served some very low-quality and indifferent food. Tonight I ordered a beef, vegetable, oyster sauce and ginger dish that arrived at the table within seconds of ordering and had to be sent back to be heated properly. Although it was returned at an acceptable temperature there was no discernible flavour and the beef scraps were dry and quite tough. My partner’s beef sate skewers were similarly dry and tough, our spring rolls were tasteless and the steamed rice had all the allure of wallpaper paste. Would not recommend and will not return.

Food and service was impeccable.
Each dish was flavourful and distinct in its own right. Recommend
🍴pie tee
🍴crispy tempeh
❌can skip the sambal prawns, whilst this was yum, this is something you can get at quite a few restaurants
🍴pickled mussels
🍴 Bannockburn chicken - partner said this was the best fried chicken he'd ever had. The gem lettuce is EVERYTHING, GIVE ME THE RECIPE SUNDA !!!
❌ the grilled skate wing wasn't much of a hit, reminded me of tinned tuna in tomato sauce, sorry.

Service was great, we'll be returning again 😀

📝 I think this Melbourne restaurant was ok but could do better for such prices. Service was kind of professional but I didn't find it the warmest ever and also didn't like that we had to wait 15 minutes to see a food menu while the bill was brought straight after we finished eating (without even asking for it). For this category, had a better experience elsewhere.

🍴 The concept was, in my view, that of a modern Asian food restaurant aiming to be fine dining. I didn't get along too much with the taste of all we ordered although all was surely cooked and prepared with high standards. The chicken was the dish I liked the most.

📍 The restaurant is urban chic and pretty. I'm a fan of open kitchens and therefore I also liked this aspect. The atmosphere was also based on some enjoyable, lounge-like background music.

Incredible from start to finish. First of all, the service is great with fine dining professionalism but friendly, down to earth staff. Nice drink selection too with interesting cocktails and an extensive selection of wine.

And food is amazing. Had high expectations and they were met. The corn pie tee is delicate and well balanced with a thin pastry shell, creamed corn and spicy hit of salted black bean. Tuna tartare donut is also incredible and even the crispy tempeh blew me away.

Of the larger dishes, I tried the taro which was presented as little glutinous button mushroom-shaped dumplings which were a bit grainy but otherwise good. I also tried the calamari with sticky rice which had a great smoky flavour and interesting balance of textures.

I recently dined at this restaurant and opted for the seasonal set menu. I was pleasantly surprised by the variety of dishes and the quality of flavors.
The pie tee was particularly delicious, as well as the grilled calamari with sticky rice. For dessert, the peanut parfait with palm sugar and salted coconut was a real treat.
Overall, everything was delicious. The service was friendly and attentive.
I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience.
We first visited Dickson Asian Noodle House about 14 years ago and remembered the Laksa to be very fragrant and tasty. This certainly doesn’t appear to have changed. Fast forward to 2024, the laksa still tastes great. The Hainan Chicken Rice was good but it certainly didn’t taste like Hainan Chicken.

We loved everything about Sunda. The food, the service and the vibe! Every dish was so flavourful and seasoning was just right. We got the set menu and added the Tuna tartare donut as extra. The set menu was worth the price with good portions and variety. Definitely going back!

What a gem in this area. Outstanding in food &
service in a hidden little area. Highly recommend; so, let’s break it down:

Atmosphere: *****
Located in a small set of shops off a main road is this great little find. With a quaint shop front, you move inside to a nicely decorated Thailand themed restaurant. The shop is long and a little narrow but they use the space well and cleanliness is held in high regard. Well done!

Customer Service: *****
Was excellent, we were offered a drink on arrival, plus water and glasses were prepared on the table.
We were given about 5-10 minutes to chat and enjoy our drinks, then ordered entrees and mains. Entrees were provided in 8 minutes and mains 10 mins after that. Exceptional!
We were asked after our meal, offered dessert and the table was bussed within 2 minutes of each of us finishing.
Everything was presented with a smile and the staff were so nice and friendly. Well done!

Food: (Why we are here): *****
Order: Vegetarian Spring Rolls, Curry Puffs, Massaman Currie with Duck, Penang Currie with Beef & and side of sticky rice.
Entrees: as expected the curry puffs were light and fluffy and the spring rolls crispy and hot.
Massaman - haven’t tried this with duck before but I can tell you it was delicious, the duck was so tender, the vegetables were cooked (with that yummy soft crunch) and the sauce was so rich and flavourful you wanted to drown the rice in it.
Penang - as above, the beef was cooked perfectly, the mixture of veggies (perfectly cooked) added to the mix of spices and sauce. Very more’ish.

Overall: *****

I have been here twice now and they have delivered this quality on both occasions with, what seems to be, absolutely pleasure and ease. I cannot recommend this Thai restaurant enough, Thank You, White Jasmine Thai!

Their soft shell crab garlic WAS LIFE CHANGING😍😍😍 I literally tried lots of Thai food in lots of places and countries but this is just groundbreaking-ly good. Forgot to take a pic when it first came so this was my last bite HAHA hope u can still get a glimpse of it
Everything tastes authentic and delicious. I stumbled upon this restaurant by chance and end up going four times in two weeks. Staff is super nice too! Thanks for gifting me the ice cream I forgot to say good bye🫶🏼 Just ask for recommendation if you didn’t know what to order.
This place has loads of noodle choices to explore. I've been here many times, and the staff are always super friendly. It gets busy, but if you love Asian noodles, you've got to check it out.

Ordered some takeaway dinner, and the person who took my order was polite and attentive. Upon pick up, the atmosphere was very pleasant. The food portions were generous and very delicious dishes. We can't wait to dine in one day.
Had a Great time dining at Sunda. I loved the food and the service was exceptional. The staff were very attentive and explained everything very well.
@thailiciousmelbourne 📍 This casual Thai restaurant has been open for over 10 years- but it was my first time visiting 🤯 servings are generous, flavours authentic, prices are so reasonable- surprised there aren’t more people talking about this gem- but it is a bit out of the way tho! 🇹🇭🌟💯

Literally all dishes were delicious! We enjoyed the Thai hot pot for $35- the broth was amazing we drank all the soup! 🍲 Came with generous amounts of veggies and pork belly. Super delish. The Red Curry duck, Pad Thai, Som Tum, Tom Yum fried rice were all amazing too! The black sticky rice with coconut ice cream was also divine. 💯💯💯 will be returning for sure!

We recommend the Thai style hotpot, the meat was marinated so well and broth was just amazing. The veggies was so tasty and so fresh with the broth
📍@thailiciousmelbourne, Melbourne CBD

We visited this OG Thai spot called Thailicious in the CBD for the first time to have dinner the other day 😍

Loved their food with our favourites being the glass noodle seafood salad and pad Thai noodle, also loved the Thai milk tea and patongo for dessert 🤗

This restaurant was one of the first Thai restaurants in the CBD and it's definitely worth a visit if you're looking for some authentic and affordable Thai food in the city 🤓

What we ordered:
🍤 Prawn Spring Roll $12.9
🐟 Glass Noodle Seafood Salad $22.9
🥗 Som Tum Thai Kai Kem $18.9
🍜 Pad Thai Noodle $19.9
🍚 Tom Yum Fried Rice $16.9
🍩 Patongo $8.9
🍮 Black Sticky Rice Pudding Ice Cream $8.9
🧋 Thai Milk Tea $5.5
🍋 Ice Lemon Tea $5.5
3=average and ok
Came for the laksa. Whilst I enjoyed it, it was a more western version than I prefer, too sweet and creamy, with the protein elements relatively tasteless
Service was excellent and food arrived quickly. I had the jumbo with many protein elements but again, they lacked the deep, spiced flavours I prefer.
Hands down the best Thai food in the south east!! If you have been to Thailand you would know the tastes of their food, this is the closet you can find that taste like authentic Thai.

I ordered Pad Se Ew - taste exactly like the one I had in Thailand
Definitely going to be a regular customer now worth the travel

The dining experience at Sunda Dining in Melbourne was exceptional! Opting for the a la carte menu over the chef's special, each dish was a true delight. The Sydney rock oysters were wonderfully fresh and the crispy tempeh with sambal kecap sauce was a flavor explosion. The yellow fin tuna had a spicy and amazing taste and the tiger prawn was cooked perfectly. The lamb rump and Bannockburn chicken with turmeric and coconut rice, topped with salmon roe, were also highlights of the meal. Despite a minor hiccup with the Sunday surcharge on a Tuesday, the issue was swiftly rectified by the waitress. This experience serves as a reminder to always check the bill. Overall, Sunda Dining offers a memorable culinary journey with its exquisite flavors and attentive service. Highly recommended for a family dinner or any special occasion.

Food was OK but couldn't enjoy it having to continuously wave away a multitude of flies. Provision of a fan would've helped. We had a wobbly table. Waitress was somewhat sullen and annoyed with the additional surcharge for paying with card. Will not be coming back.

Revising my rating to 1 star (previously a 5*). This place has become intolerable and unpleasant despite earlier pleasant experiences.

These days they are rude and uninterested. When you call them they don't ever seem to have the patience to answer properly, they would interrupt even as you are talking, and they would yell back rudely. And even if they do hear you, they don't respond anyway. We have had phone orders, table reservations agreed/ promised but not fulfilled. We have traveled all our way a few times only for them to shrug at us and not even having any decency for a sorry.

Customers are the bedrock of their success and they seem to have forgotten it. Just look at the number of recent low ratings and it paints a consistent picture of them having become too arrogant. Not gonna bother with this place anymore, regardless how tasty their food may be. Keep treating your customers with contempt, and your customers will definitely vote with their feet.

For full clarity, I am in same party as next review below. But we did not sync up our reviews. It only shows how infuriating tonight's and experience had been for us that we both separately wrote reviews about it. Yet it was only the latest of several we have had these past couple of months.
Delicious food with plenty of options. Their chilly curry sauce is good one. Loved the varieties. Love from India..🙂🇮🇳
We ordered their fuchka and cha today. Happy to say that both of them were pretty good. I have tried other Bangladeshi restaurants in Melbourne but none of them were as good as this one! I will be visiting this place soon again. Also, the staffs especially the uncle there were very humble. Best wishes!
Great little laksa shop. Recommend the jumbo family laksa. Won’t go home hungry!

Hands down one of the best Thai restaurants in Australia and the best one in Canberra 🙂 We love prawn laksa, duck noodle soup, som tam Lao (papaya salad), roast duck salad and Thai desserts. Fresh ingredients. Attentive service. Generous serving. Highly recommend if you are looking for authentic Thai cuisine.
Fast service yummy food! We needed a late night spot to eat and Thailicious pulled through. We had red curry, pad Thai and roti with peanut sauce. They had good prices and value for money.

Extremely westernised laksa, with broccoli, cauliflower and big pieces of capsicum in it!? These do not belong in an authentic laksa. Soup itself was quite commercial tasting, with no aromats in it at all, i.e. kaffir lime leaves, galangal, curry leaves, etc. Could have been made from a powder for all I know. The "prawns" in it could practically be classified as shrimp they were so small. Definitely not worth the $18 I paid for it - barely $8 IMHO. Will not go back.

A small restaurant with limited tables and seatings, always busy but they do take bookings (recommended). Seatings are very crowded and limited spaces between tables. Food doesn’t usually take long to be served and is tasty. Service is ok, although could be better. Sometimes booking or time change gets missed which gets really frustrating having to wait around still. Despite the above, we still always enjoy meals here.
Had laksa tonight and their fried rice. Great for when you don’t feel like cooking. Laksa very flavourful with the broth, yellow hokkien noodles were dull and only a small amount. The rice was delicious. I remember as a kid the same flavour of laksa 20+ years
Happy days
Masaman beef disgraceful..dry beef Potato and veg under cooked..red curry sauce instead of a nice thick gravy..sliced beef not slow cooked chunks...peanuts ..what peanuts...never again sorry
Affordable authentic thai fast food experience. Great for uni student.
Remind me of home-cooked food.
Menu is simple to navigate.
I'm glad that it is able to open back up.
Visited the restaurant as we stayed overnight in Canberra. Had the combination laksa and the portion was huge with lots of ingredients (Roasted duck, char siew, chicken, bean sprouts, chye sim and tau fu puff). Also had the special fried rice that came with 3 big prawns. Price was reasonable given the portion. Laksa was fantastic just a bit salty for my taste bud. Owner was kind to let us have a four seater table near the window so that we can monitor our little buddy doggy (while he was outside the restaurant waiting patiently for us to take our dinner)
Highly recommended if you are nearby.

Nice little Vietnamese eatery. Easy to find with plenty of parking available off Fullerton. There are plenty of meals to choose from, with portion sizes adequate to fill most people up. The price of dishes was good for the size and quality of the food.
The premises is neat and tidy and well presented. Staff were welcoming and friendly. The food came out in a timely manner.
If you’re in the area, I would recommend this place for a tasty bite to eat.

We went to dine at Sunda for our anniversary and it was an incredible experience from the beginning to the end. We sat at the bar (highly recommend) and watched the chefs busy themselves in preparing the dishes. Every dish was prepared meticulously and packed full of flavour. We loved how the flavors married themselves between Southeast Asia and Australia. Coming from a Southeast Asian background, the flavors were spot on and reminded us a lot of our mother's cooking. Between us, we shared 12 different dishes! So we left feeling very well-fed. Thanks for the delicious food!
Their food tastes very good. I tried Bhuna Khicuri with mutton and Kachhi Biryani. Both were delicious. There was good amount of mutton pieces and meat was tender. Borhani was also very good. After trying those, I also took away their Duck curry and Shorshe Ilish. Those were also cooked awesome. After a long time I enjoyed having Bangladeshi food at a restaurant. I highly recommend the restaurant. Their staffs’ behaviour and the environment were also very good.

Super authentic Thai food, loved everything we have ordered: entrees (spring rolls and money bags), mains (massaman beef curry and ho-mok talay), sides (garlic fried rice and jasmine rice). Our mains are amazing: hands down the best massaman beef curry we ever had (3 hours slow-cooked beef in herbs and massaman curry did make a huge difference in the texture and flavor of the beef), and the Ho-mok talay (steamed seafood and veges with red curry sauce and egg) was an absolute delight. This was the first time we had Ho-mok talay and were impressed with the taste profile (love it so much that we ended up ordering another bowl of rice to have with the sauce, yum). Highly recommended and we will be back next time we are in Geelong!

Surely best Bangladeshi restaurant that Melbourne have ever produced… I hope they will maintain the quality and taste…

We have tried their Fuchka, Cholpoti, Moghlai, Kacchi Biryani, Beef Tehari and Morog Pulao…

Awesome taste… please try and support this restaurant….
Awesome dinner! Everything is tasty, the sauce of entrée is great! Soup is small but has a big variety of ingredients. Feels very healthy! Grilled pork is very nice too! Curry is not too spicy, but very rich flavour. Banana fritter has a hint of cinnamon. Love their milk tea! Wish they do in jugs, I will finish it all by myself 🤣

On august 14 Sunday night 6.30 ish for dinner the food was great BUT The service was poor we were the first table to be there and three more table came soon after. two had there on trays and Main and finsh before we had even had our main meal. Also there was no kids meals it would have been great to have something for our little one instead of ordering two set of on trays because one was a little to spice for our little one .
And a little more advice HAVE More stuff on so you don't have one guy running all over the place trying he best to do the take away, front of house, and phone orders.
I will say this the food was great BUT it's let down by what happened tonight which is a shame.

They seemed quick to take my order and my money. Sadley the food took over 40 mins then I was told they had only one of the two dishes I had ordered. I was so hungry I just took the green curry which was basically some cut up veges in a watery liquid. Could have bought a green curry paste from the supermarket and done a better job.
Coozy place. Amazing pad thai with filling portion. Tried deep fried ice cream for the first time. It looked amazing but was not my favourite in terms of taste for me. Highly recomended for pad thai
As someone who has eaten a lot of great Thai food, White Jasmine was okay to say the least. Their Thai dishes were not authentic and cheaper ingredients were used in replacement of more traditional ingredients. However, the portion was decent and staff were very friendly and compensated accordingly when a mistake was made on their part. Restaurant decor was also nice, though I probably wouldn’t come here again when I’m craving for good Thai cuisine.
Have been here in many occasions as become a favourite within walking distance.

Food is always good and hot, but either lacks taste or flooded with it. No real consistency between visits with the chef(s).

Staff are friendlier than other like venues. Price is reasonable for some items. Best to have a selection when eating here, some good and some bit so good menu items.
Will definitely be back for the curry puffs and chilli fish though!
Just WOW. Street food, great dining in area and sevice, but the food was amazing. The best sweet and sour pork I have had since the 70's in Sydney. Prices are cheap, just go there... Thank you to the small and hard working, lovely team. Was a wonderful night catching up with old friends.
A small local Thai restaurant with a small menu covering a cross section Of Thai food.
The food is very tasty with good portion sizes.
Priced well and the service is good.

The chicken and cashew nut was a little sweet for my tastes but it was still quite nice.
Indeed, it has the best Laksa in Canberra! This place made us realise that Laksa is indeed a good dish and made us a fan as well. Our usual orders are the Combination Laksa and any of the noodle dishes. The price of two will not exceed $30 and you already have a full meal (even have a takeaway).
We ordered the Fried Rice & Spicy fried rice was delicious and tasty. One of the best in Perth, at a good price and value we will be coming back!

My father and his partner, are of an age where they don’t go out much. I.e. over 80. However the rare times that they do go out, they only ever go to the noodle house on Chevron Island.

Food is outstanding, the staff are friendly. Definitely worth a visit.

My recent dining experience at Asian Noodle House in Dickson left me with mixed feelings about the overall visit. While the food was passable, the service and attention to detail fell short of expectations, resulting in a rather disappointing outing.

Starting with the positives, the menu offered a decent selection of Asian noodle dishes. Although the flavors were just okay and didn't quite stand out, they provided a satisfying meal for our group. However, it was the service that left a significant dent in the overall experience.

One particular instance was the coconut juice we ordered. To our dismay, it had an off-putting chemical taste that was impossible to ignore. We brought this to the attention of the staff, hoping for a swift resolution. Regrettably, it took the intervention of the owner or manager after we expressed our dissatisfaction for any action to be taken. While the explanation regarding a supplier change was provided, it's crucial to note that the taste of a beverage shouldn't be compromised by such changes. Customer experience should be the priority, regardless of supplier modifications.

Furthermore, the beef crispy noodle dish had an unexpected sour note that left us questioning its intended flavor profile. This inconsistency raised doubts about the quality control in the kitchen, affecting our overall perception of the establishment.

In conclusion, while Asian Noodle House in Dickson has the potential to offer a satisfying meal, the lack of professionalism in addressing customer concerns and the inconsistencies in flavor left a negative impression. It's my hope that the management will take these feedback points into serious consideration to elevate the dining experience for future patrons. As it stands, I left the restaurant with a sense of disappointment that overshadowed the positives.

Delicious authentic Thai food!!!
The curry puffs are a must try. The pastry was so light and crunchy, and the curry filling was delicious.
I had the red coconut vegetarian curry and nearly died over the sauce it was delicious!!!! And my partner had the street style barbecue chicken, which he cleaned his plate! And there was a generous serving of chicken.
Will be back :)
