We enjoyed our stay here, food was nice but service was ok.
Dosa hut is a very authentic and excellent restaurant. I enjoyed coming here with my family and having a nice meal. The atmosphere is very welcoming and makes customers feel at home and comfortable.
Wonderful. We stayed in the Bushland Villa. Michael made sure that everything was in order prior to our arrival. What a lovely peaceful spot. Lots of kangaroos and other wildlife to watch right outside the villa. On a clear morning the sunlight against the Grampians cliff is spectacular. Just a few minutes stroll into the Halls Gap village makes for an easy stay. We found the king size bed mattress and pillows especially comfortable. Thank you Michael.

Have been a regular guest at Crown Metropol for over a decade now, always greeted with a smile and fantastic service!
Stay local to Metropol for the location, pool and service.. unfortunately during more recent visits, the rooms have presented as dirty and dusty.. assuming may be an issue with staffing levels. Other than this, Metropol has always been consistent with the level of service offered.

They also double charged us for breakfast - even though it had already been paid for. Their service in rectifying the issue was very poor.

Had lunch there Easter Sunday 2024. We all enjoyed our meals and drinks, and appreciated the service. Clean and neat, and mural of Lake Fyans looks great.
Had a goat biryani here. The biryani was little, enough for one kid. The spices were very mild and suitable for the Australian pallets. They call it Hyderabad dum biryani, must change that name. The atmosphere was good. They charge you before you get to taste the food. Bit different, must have a lot of trust issues with the customers. 😜😄. The prices are way too premium for a normal quality foods.

Stayed here because of its location being so close to the exhibition centre and it is flawless.
Gym, pools, views and a stone’s throw from Melbourne CBD & Southbank.

We had a lovely roast of the day meal - everything very tasty and generous size for (I think) $28 pp. Well worth it to visit.
One of our party had a large drink spill and they moved us to another table and thoroughly cleaned up - all with no fuss.

One of the quick things to fix in city, if you are feeling hungry just give a try for chicken 65 starter and biryani..! Sometimes the taste is very nice and sometimes it’s an offset…! The taste fluctuates a lot..! Nice place to eat for couple of times but not most of the times…! Their chow mein is good as well. The chicken noodles are good but lamb biryani no good…!
Although staying at Crown Metropol is cheaper then staying at Crown Towers this dose not mean that the service or experience is effected. The staff are just as attentive to details and the rooms are clean and nicely kept. Have stayed many times with the kids. The pool on the top floor is a wonderful place to unwind and take in the view.

Worst Dosa Hut by far. Zero customer service and the experience was immediately off putting with music blasting to the point of not being able to hear my friend next to me. Thankfully it was turned down after requesting, but the food was the worst Indian I've ever had. The Gobi Manchurian was a pass at best. The Butter Chicken was sooo watery to the point of being physically inedible - we couldn't eat it with the tiny wooden spoons provided. On that note, v environmentally unfriendly with all cutlery, plates and cups being disposable. No naan on the menu which was v disappointing and the garlic roti wasn't even garlicky. Everyone knows a good garlic roti/naan leaves your fingers smelling for days (in the best way possible).
Can’t go wrong with any of the dosas here. The paper dosa, egg paneer dosa and chicken schezwan dosa are all great but the egg is my favourite. It’s got a decent level of spice, great flavour and a balanced consistency of crispy edges and a chewy, spongy interior. It’s also pretty decently sized for the price.
Delightful complex busy but no noisy. Excited people in the pool that’s to be expected with the high temperatures.
What can I say? This room was beyond stunning! The view alone was breathtaking! The spa was the perfect touch along with a super comfy king bed, a selection of goodies for a continental brekkie and a huge double shower. It was an easy short walk to the cafes and shops and we were greeted by Emus, kangaroos and even a couple of Deer each morning. Just stunning!

Crown Metropol proved to be an excellent choice for our 2 night stay in Melbourne to celebrate Birthday. The king bedroom was not just comfortable but incredibly spacious, allowing for a relaxed and enjoyable stay. The room's highlight was undoubtedly the picturesque view of Melbourne city facing the river – a truly breathtaking sight.
The mini bar added a touch of convenience, but the absence of complimentary water was a surprising drawback. Got 2 small bottles at the time of check in and that’s about it for 2 nights. Upon requesting water, the staff suggested tap water, assuring its safety, but it would have been a nice touch to have complimentary bottled water available.
The presence of a comfy couch was a delightful addition, providing a cozy spot to unwind while taking in the scenic surroundings. The check-in staff were courteous and efficient, contributing positively to the overall experience.
The swimming pool may be petite, but it's quite nice. The cleaning staff did an excellent job tidying up the room.

Furthermore, a call to room service requesting cutlery for a celebratory cake revealed an unexpected cost of $6. Yummiest Indian food in Melbourne!! So tasty and we love the wide variety of dishes available here! We loved their biryanis and 70 mm dosa. Definitely a must try !!
So Comfy. Close to town, with the feeling of being all alone in middle of the valley.

Even though it rained most of our weekend, we were able to daydream out the MASSIVE window and watch wildlife, while rugged up infront of the fire.

The flavours here are strong and punchy, which i usually love, but there are a couple of misses here. For example, way too much podi. Also, the sambar could be more balanced. But the chutney is great, and so is the potato in the masala dosa.
Overall, the prices and the food are good.

Wonderful quiet location in the beautiful Grampians, the cabins are very clean and fully equipped, great bbq area, nice little pool and playground. Wildlife right outside the window. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It's a must stay for those travelling here
Wonderful place to visit kangaroos. Birds were great too. Rooms are wonderful. Only about 7 individual challets. Nice and quiet, away from the crowds in the center of Halls Gap, but close enough to get to places.
Absolutely loved our stay at Halls Gap Log Cabins, the hosts were really friendly, the cabins were extremely clean and almost everything was provided. The little one loved the playground and the BBQ area very clean and again utensils provided. Seeing the kangaroos and emu each day was so good. We will definitely be coming back.
Had a cabin by the water, very peaceful, heaps of wildlife, close to town centre. Cabin was clean and very well appointed with attention to detail like toiletries, enough tea, coffee, sugar, lovely deck.
Beautiful place. A bit smaller than expected though. You can walk into town in just a few minutes, easy drive to the many looking points and trails. Kitchen is fully equipped, perfect. Bed is great and there's enough linen to keep you warm.

Will NOT be using this supposed 4.5 star 'resort' again. Please check the photos attached. This was not worth the money we paid. Filthy carpets, a non working dishwasher, a gym that isn't a gym and dangerous cookware. Please do the ring around before booking a room here.

Would be really nice to be greeted by the bar staff, we weren’t greeted, just looked at, that was our queue to order? machine put in front of you, then taken away once paid. Most bartenders would ask; ‘what can I get you?’ No conversation, no thank you, no nothing. You need to work on your manners as your customer service was beyond lacking. I think some general friendliness would not go astray.. it’s not that difficult guys.

We’ve stayed twice now. Amazing accommodation in a beautiful setting. The view of the Grampians and the amazing wildlife make it a perfect, relaxing stay. A 5min walk to the shops/cafes/restaurants in the town centre. It’s hard to convince yourself to leave the accommodation at all!

Friendly and polite staff. Food are great and chef prepare food with generous portions. Hope people have a chance to try this place if they are in the area.

We have stayed in places like this all around the country - but this is the BEST. From the friendly welcome, to the clean cabins, all very well equipped and set up, it is great.
While it is a couple of minutes drive from the town, that's no real problem and is more than compensated for by the spectacular mountain views and the ever-present close up wildlife.

Steak was well cooked. Would have given it 5☆ but the peas and corn were overcooked. Other than that, great meal. Staff are friendly and helpful.
As soon as we opened the door we were overwhelmed with a dog barking like crazy in a room to the to the left, also overwhelmed with the smell of mould. Service wasn't very good, didn't have soup, and was very rude when telling me ( we don't make it cause we don't get enough customers) fair enough but be a bit nicer when dealing with new customers, staff weren't very welcoming at all. Food was extremely overpriced. My husband's chicken burger looked like it was cooked in old oil.

Last minute booking for 18 people on a Friday night plus a few extras. The kitchen was under staffed but everyone got their meal and thoroughly enjoyed them. Lagree portion sizes and very nice selection of salads.

The worst experience I've ever had! The woman (asian lady guessing was the owner) who served our table was the rudest piece of work I've ever experienced! Imagine being rude to your customers??!! 2 hour wait for a Vegan burger that was advertised as a Vegan burger that arrived in a Brioche Bun! Chips were coated in sugar and stone cold. 1/4 of our table was waiting over 2 hours for their food including two elderly folk and not even a sorry from the rude horrible back chatting woman!! Our table of 20 couldn't sit together as there was 17 of us! Are you kidding me!!!

This Pub was one of the very few places open for dinner on Easter Monday. We turned up with no booking but thankfully they found us a table. Great pub style food, friendly service - loved it!
Went their for dinner. Waited an hour & a half for my meal. The meal itself was very nice. The staff we're nice & the alcohol was nice. The Decor needs updating. It has new owners who have plans for this hotel. Nice little beer garden.
Wonderful meals and drinks at reasonable prices, has special child's menu. Thursday night we were the only group in lounge, Monday night (Xmas day post holiday) extremely busy but managed to cope with odd meal a little late. Staff extremely friendly and courteous.

Amazing place, could do with another star for the effort that the hosts go to. There is everything you can think of in the kitchen, dining, laundry, etc, even down to sewing kit, hairdyer plus straighteners!
Beds are very comfortable, the house is extremely clean.
Outside area is awesome which is where we spent majority of our time, playing games, making pizza, watching the wildlife. Easy access to the water and our dog was very comfortable and safe. Would highly recommend and we will be back! Thank you xxx Yvonne and family xx

What a wonderful place to stay. We stayed at La Siesta on The Canal for 5 nights and it was wonderful. The home is beautiful, spacious, with lots of beds and the extra touches that the owners have left make it far better than any other accomodation we have had before. The location was perfect as well; on the canal, out of the hustle and bustle but a short drive to all the facilities in Mandurah. As soon as you finish reading this review, do yourself and your family a favour and book a stay at La Siesta on the Canal, I am sure you will love it as much as we did. Thanks Nat & Andy
Lovely country pub with great meals, don't change a thing. Been twice now and the salmon tonight was the best meal I've had in Stawell all year. Great work!
This is the best place to go for value for money location and an all round fantastic real the owners have thought of everything and they are accomodating to a fault we will definately be booking again for a fantastic break in a stunning location complete with passing dolphins l suggest you do the same.
