What a great place to stay. Superb location, rooms are great and staff is super friendly! When visiting Byron again, this would be our place to stay again.
We had such an amazing stay at Halls Gap Escape. Excellent hospitality from Jenny and Ian. The apartment was clean, well furnished and contained everything you could need and want for a comfortable stay. Plus, it's dog friendly! Great views looking over the Grampians, with wildlife hopping by made for a perfect spot to relax with a glass of local wine. Walking distance to the pub was also a big win!
We stayed in a studio villa. The rate we got for 3 nights was very good as they had a special. The two ladies at checkin were lovely. The studio villa is compact, however it's very new, modern and well set out and it was fine for the two of us. The beach by the property is lovely and there is a pool if you prefer. The resort is very quiet at night (around the villas anyway). I can't speak for the camp-site areas as they were situated a little further away. I'd definitely stay there again, depending on the room rate.
This is a new establishment, so rooms are new and nicely furnished, studios are not massive but have a lovely and usable deck area to sit out on. Gardens are all recently planted so will take a few years to get that lush subtropical growth.
Web site has a few anomalies, but reception sorted it out for us on Check-in.
Plenty of guest parking... and lots of overnight car chargers for EV drivers.

The minute you walk through the door you have an amazing view of the ocean, the apartment was spacious, nice big bath and rain shower, king size bed was so comfortable and views to the ocean, living and kitchen good, a coffee machine, pool towels, lovely fluffy bath towels, the outside area in unit 12 was huge with day bed and outdoor table and chairs, pool is a lap pool.

We stayed in one of the newly renovated rooms overlooking the pool. The bed was extremely soft and comfortable and everything was very new. On the downside, there was minimal comforts ie a small bin for rubbish wouldn't go astray, and a chair to sit on inside instead of having to sit on the pristine white bed linen to watch tv. Mobile phone reception was non existent and the wifi cut in and out making the tv pixelate. On the upside, very accommodating reception staff, and very efficient air con. We were going to stay an extra night but decided to head home as we were missing our furbabies.
Five stars for the beach view rooms... ahhhmazing !!! New renovations are taking this place to a whole new level of beautiful. If you feel like you want to be in the movie Beaches, rent the ocean room!
Absolutely beautiful I am a wheelchair person I stayed here for 2 nights in my van everything is accessible office pool camp kitchen laundry.I was lucky enough to check out accessible cabins they are beautiful and spot on even accessible power points a big plus when you are in a wheelchair. The only thing I would say as usual young able body people use the accessible shower and I was left sitting waiting a seprate access code would be great to stop this .The sand was not an issue for my chair with the honeycomb plastic so this is actually a beach camp spot I can visit and enjoy like every body else.The staff were wonderful and helpful.I would have to say the accessible pool was the highlight for me and being able to go camping like able body people so a big thumbs up Turtle Sands.
A wonderful location and great staff, especially Courtney. The view from our balcony was spectacular. My family and I will definitely return. Highly recommend ocean view.
Lovely to stay there it's only a month old the pool is lovely ..the walks along the beach are lovely staff lovely very clean..
All new great staff in front office and Josh everything getting cleaned all time 10/10 from can't wait to be back

Amenities are extremely clean and so five star for a van park.

The whole area is well designed with nice large grassy lots for your van.

The only criticism I have would be more hooks in the showers for your towels and things.

Came here for dinner with the family. Food came reasonably fast. Wasn’t expecting much but the scotch fillet was fantastically tender, best one I’ve had for a while. Sauce was nice, chips were okay and salad was nice but didn’t need the dressing. I would definitely recommend getting the steak!!
We were one lucky family to be the first to stay in the pool-front villa, and it was absolutely AMAZING! Everything is beautifully designed with such great taste and quality, from the furniture to the decor, right down to the cutlery. It truly feels welcoming and has everything you could need for a long stay. The kids absolutely loved the turtle pool, and the nearby beach, just a short walk away, is stunning and semi-private. The staff were incredibly friendly and efficient, and the whole place is modern and eco-friendly—even with electric car chargers at every parking spot! This is an amazing place, and we can't wait to return and try the other accommodations. Well done, team!
Room we had is beach view which is very nice. Room is a bit old but currently they are under renovation. Wifi service is poor. Location is good in bargara service we did not need any only reception services smooth service especially if you book in advance.
Booked online and paid for a room. When I arrived they said they don’t have the booking despite me showing the bank transaction with all of the correct information for Don Pancho. I asked to at least receive a refund and they said they have to talk to management and that they’ll speak to them in just over an hours time. ??why not just call them on the spot. Now we have been left with no place to stay and out of pocket what we paid.
Unsure if the same problem but a lady was on the phone next to us demanding a refund saying she’d been on the phone for ages so the place just seems extra dodgy. Don’t risk it and book elsewhere.

I actually worked at Don Pancho 38 years ago, so I tried to book but left it too late.
So I popped down today to have a look at what's changed in the last 4 decades.
The Don is having major renovations done and is looking fabulous...
They still have more to do, but it'll be amazing when it's finished.
The quick walk around brought back so many happy memories and I look forward to actually booking in (in advance) next time.

Bar service was good, beer cold as expected. Unfortunately for food, was a miss. We had a steak, Shepard's pie and chicken soup.
Steak tasted great, but was well under the medium we requested. As for the pie, extremely salty and oily, my 90yo grandma would have loved it and this is their target audience I'm sure.

This is our second time back here in 2 months and we absolutely adore this place! Rooms are huge with all the facilities and they're clean. Staff are beautiful and friendly and happy to help regardless of your needs. Food is simple home cooked meals, fresh and yummy. Location is amazing and within walking distance to the town. And John.. our host.. we love John - he is cheeky and adorable and is always happy to sit down and chat. And Chris is just beautiful! We love this place and will be back to visit again shortly. Great job guys.. we love you!!

The bed was comfortable and the room clean but the join between the wall and the roof has cracks in numerous places, its in need of improviement. I was awoken at 3 am by a rackett cased by patrons milling outside the gaming area for some time, after waiting for it to qieten down I had to resort to calling management twice to have security resolve the noise problem.
Food was pricey for what it was but have never paid so much for a drink. $10 for a light beer. Is definitely not affordable. Paid $7 at another hotel Saturday
This was a big disappointment - very bland flavour and just incredibly oily. This was the first time in a long time we actually couldn't eat it, and when the wait staff asked how it was, there didn't seem to be much interest that we found it inedible.
There is also almost nothing for vegetarians - just a mushroom salad, a halloumi salad, or a margherita cheese pizza.
I would not want to go here again. However, the recent renovations are nice and I like the fireplace in the middle.
I'd consider going again only if there was a complete do-over of the menu with attention to quality ingredients.

The front staff were excellent they moved things around to put us in a room with ocean views and their professionalism was fantastic. It’s nice to see someone putting so much effort into making our stay a fantastic experience, cant wait to get back down to Byron and stay for a bit longer. Thanks for looking after us.
The cabins had everything we needed and were comfortable and great for families. Adequate cooking facilities. The showers are lovely and the heating works well which we needed in July. It is a great location with Pizza restaurant, bar and shops all close by. We will definitely book again it was a lovely stay.
We came for dinner this evening, we had mixed grill. It was really nice, service was excellent, staff were really professional. Especially Jack who had an excellent phone manner when we booked. He was extremely helpful and friendly.🙂
I can’t say enough good about our stay at Waves. The front desk was so kind and helpful. The room was really clean and big. The bed was very comfortable. Wish I had stayed more days. We were only there one night for the origins final game. Highly recommend this hotel.
Went out for tea last night 7th July, the food was excellent and plenty of it. The Staff could not be faulted they were courteous and obliging and the meals came out really quickly after we had all ordered. Thank you for the service it was my 82nd Birthday and two of my Grand Children's birthday, so very special. Myself and Family will most definately recommend the The Lonny for a good night out
We have been coming here for years and have never had any issues. The new menu for this winter has had almost nothing for vegetarians to eat. A salad or a cheese pizza. When I asked the staff about this I was told that they needed to make cuts to the menu to stop food wastage. I suggested that they still needed to have vegetarian options and was told that there were not enough vegetarians to warrant them having any options. I would think remaining an inclusive restaurant would have been a consideration but unfortunately not.
Lovely hotel, perfect location, close to beach and shops. Great underground secure parking and bonus coffee, juice, fruit and muffins to get you off to a good morning start. Minibar well stocked at reasonable prices, and ice available from reception. Best of all, phenomenally helpful staff, willing to offer advice and go the extra mike... froze my keep cold blocks for my departure. Wish I could stay longer

Found the guy working to be super efficient. He even noticed we needed a take away container without asking, just bought to our table when collecting plates.

Fabulous small apartment/hotel in brilliant location. We ‘walked in’ and snagged the 1 br penthouse which has a great kitchen, huge balcony and views of the beach which is 1 minute away walking. And free secure parking. Lovely service from Bronwyn and her team. The room was spotless and super comfortable while maybe not the most contemporary. We felt it was terrific value and would definitely stay again.
Great place to stay in Byron Bay. Walk to beach, shops, restaurants. Good spacious room, comfortable bed, big bathroom. Helpful

A great place to stay, even though there are a lot of renovations going on. We had a two bedroom fully contained ocean view apartment.... It was amazing. Plenty of room to move about and very clean and comfortable. We stayed for 3 nights and would definitely go back.
Good spot for lunch if you're passing through Stawell. Opposite the oval it's well located and a short stroll from the business center.

We recently moved from Sydney and this has become our local. We've had multiple amazing meals here! It's a beautiful pub with a gorgeous pavilion style eatery out the back that we love to sit in. Every time we've come the staff have been amazing, so friendly and always ensure the kids have a fun activity book to play with. The food is AMAZING! The serves are large for the price and always taste beautiful. Pictured a few of our favourite dishes. We can't go past the chicken caesar salad, southern fried chicken burger and of course beef schnitzel! We'll be back!
We had a wonderful stay and our unit was beautiful. Newly renovated with the best of everything. Thanks to Leisa and the team for great service including travel info on flooded roads. We are planning our next stay already
2nd visit and once again didn't disappoint. Friendly staff and good service. No complaint about the meals,large and tasty. Should have had the seniors size as there was plenty left over.
Best all round hotel I’ve encountered in my numerous years of travel around this country.had to pinch myself to make sure I hadn’t had a prang and landed in heaven. Service, cleanliness, food, and cold beer were of the highest standard. Made to feel welcome from the moment I entered. I cannot wait for the return trip in two weeks time. Five stars is not enough.
Rather basic accommodation, however, the rooms are comfortable and clean. I'd recommend the cabins Very chilled property, we had dinner in the dining room and a very good homecooked meal. Served fresh, hot and tasty.. I do recommend eating in.
Wines are very affordable.

The locations is amazing. There's an amazing pizza restaurant, wine bar, and brewery all within a 2 Min walk. But at night it's quiet and no issues with noise. The rooms were setup well with plenty of space and equipment. There's a BBQ was is a bonus. Nice bathrooms. Very clean.
We have stayed twice in month of April 2023. and recently last week from Saturday October 14 to Friday the 23 , 2023 The manager Leisa is wonderful. Last tome when I mentioned that it was my wife’s best Leisa gave us a early check in and gave lots of recommendations for restaurants and shops. This time Lisa went out of her way to to welcome us back and make our stay memorable. Beautiful location and units are comfortable. The manager Leisa is great friendly person. The apartment owners are lucky to have her to look after the place and to get repeated customers. I will have no hesitation to visit the place to stay at the apartments. You don’t need a car all in walking distance

My husband and I stayed for five nights in a one bedroom apartment (6). The apartment was on the ground floor so we had a spacious patio with table and lounge setting where we enjoyed all of our meals / drinks while taking in the views of the ocean and stars at night. The apartment itself was in great condition with a well stocked kitchen, great electric stove /oven and full size dishwasher. There was a washing machine in the bathroom along with a bath tub, shower and good size basin. The bathroom is to be renovated some time in the near future I believe, which will make it even better. Leisa, the building manager was lovely and very helpful. We will be back again!
Very comfortable and clean. Stayed for 3 nights. Many storage cupboards were locked so didn’t have space to unpack all our clothes, groceries and bathroom items. Needed to empty garbage bins on leaving. 4-5 star accommodation but not on arrival Says we would be charged extra if we didn’t do this. Not part of original conditions and I expect this to be part of the normal cleaning post stay.

Nice and Modern place to stay. Very quiet and night and you can catch a glimpse of wild kangaroo in the backyard!
