Great pet shop! They have only the best stuff and a great relationship with the neighbourhood. If you can’t find what you’re looking for, just ask the owner and she’ll do her best to find it for you!
He never smiled , said hi nothing as if my business was not wanted plus i think he was watching me on security camera as when i came to the cash he quickly minimized the video on screen. Did not feel good after shopping here felt like i was a thief or not wanted. Frankly would avoid it if you are a person of color.
Great small local place, the owner is very helpful and knowledgeable. Its on the pricier side but knowing you're paying for quality is well worth it.
My first time here and last I was followed and made to feel really unwelcome I wanted to get other things but the service was so atrocious I just bought one thing and left. I am a customer for a year and I never had any problem till today. I have been buying all my gears from this specific store and I feel disappointed that the service girl wouldn't allowed me to bring in my trottinette for a transaction that lasted less than 45 seconds. To be honest, I can just never come back and order everything from Amazon but I want to support the local economy, right?

The BEST dog and cat supply store around. All products on the shelves are hand-picked and always high quality. The owners and staff are willing to answer any questions I have. One of the gems of Centre Street and an absolute must if you're an animal lover in Montreal.

I purchased a « New Dig » collar and leash for Maurice my Poodle.
He picked a racoon and a small bag of his favorite Acana.
Overall the staff was fun and kind.
I recommended the store already to everyone that compliments how beautiful his new collar is!
I will definitely be visiting again soon cuz I really like the accessories section.

Not from here, but definitely enjoyed the visit. Saltwater selection is relatively small and I didn't see much coral- but a nice shop overall. Clean, helpful ppl, and lots of good brands in terms of equipment.
Nobody open the door, many customers come and left, too bad. Nobody’s came back after 3pm (they leave a message back to 2:30pm). Why don’t you just close the business?
This store is just steps from my house and I have been coming here for years. Pretty decent selection of dog and cat supplies and they also carry some bird and fish stuff. I don't think they sell any live animals but not 100% sure. All of the employees are great. If you are buying something with an expiration date, check that date carefully. Say high to the floppy eared cat. He's been working here longer than many of the employees.
Great customer service - I bought an aquarium kit as an impulse. When I got home searching for accessories etc I found out that another local store was selling what I just bought for 40% less than what I paid for it.
I was disappointed in myself for not checking before hand but I let the owner Jeannie know and she accepted the discrepancy and refunded me the difference even though I said I would prefer supporting small businesses and happily take store credit - she insisted I take the refund. We don’t see these kind of store owners these days… thank you Jeannie

There was not a huge selection of fish when I visited. The fish they did have looked very healthy and well looked after. I'll definitely be going back.
To the owner: you gotta treat your fighting fishes better. They were in individual dirty cups, full of fish poop, dirty water and the cups covered by a big piece of glass. How are they supposed to get oxygen with fully covered cups and in such dirty water? The rest of the fishes look ok, in clean oxygenated water.

First time I came to Meow club with my two cats for taking bath, care taker treated my cats so good and made cats were so comfortable in water. It was a great experience and I would come again for sure.

Brought my dog in to try a new harness (not my neighborhood but it was opened later) the man and lady at the cash were AMAZING with my nervous/reactive dog and even sent us home with a little goody bag ! Will be going out of my way to go back to this Chico store!

If this was a review from my cat it's 1 star. We usually have a hard time cutting his nail ourselves but the nail clipper does it so well, quick and easy.
I absolutely love this local store! Not only do they carry amazing food and products for dogs and cats, but the entire staff is very helpful and friendly. Online ordering is made easy, and in-store pick up is a great option when in a hurry. Oh and the shop dog, Chad is just the best added bonus to the wonderful shopping experience! ❤️❤️❤️

Good local pet store with lots of choice. We espeically appreciate that they keep late hours. It is very helpful to be able to go while on the evening walk with my dogs.
We love this place! I has a great selection on raw and freeze dried food and treats! Also a lot of options on pet toys, sniffing mats, bowls, leashes, harnesses and supplements and we find the prices to be good. The staff is super nice and friendly and they always treat your pups with kindness, that’s why our pups love going to the store as well!!!

Dark and dimly lit this Aquarium is a great stop to walk around a visit the excitable fish in the tanks. My friends got a fish here and think fondly of it. Overall very chill atmosphere and you can spend a long tike just looking at them, so honestly it's a good time.
As a new puppy owner Pableen has been a lifesaver! Such a wonderful staff that is always happy to help answer questions or offer suggestions to support your pup. They spoil my Leia like she was their own, and she likes to pull me in there whenever we walk by (We live upstairs, so always).
The store has a great selection of foods and treats I don't find anywhere else, so this is our favorite pet shop. Thank you!

This is the best pet boutique in town. The staff is kind and knowledgeable. And they have amazing products. I will have to think twice if I ever plan to move to another neighborhood - it would make my dog furious :)
Very nice experience to bring my kitty for a shower. Need to take off shows to get in the place. The room was so sweet and clean. They also have kitty hotel service with daily costs. During our waiting, the stuff was patiently cleaning and petting boarding kitties in turns. Would be a great choice for cat hotel for me when needed later on

This is understandable in our city of Vancouver where shoplifting & addiction is rampant unfortunately. This store is way too nice to let any scumbags in. I get it.

Happened to wall by on our way to lunch and of course had to go in, even if fish store shopping when you can't buy fish is torture. Beautiful store, well organized, whoever is planting their tanks is AN ARTIST, they are absolutely stunning. Fish all seemed well loved, but the care and attention paid to their bettas made me so happy. Lots of space, fresh clean water, happy clear eyed brightly coloured fish. The same love and attention paid to their reptiles and amphibians. Your store was a pleasure to shop in and we are so happy we are going home from our vacation with some new decor for our own tanks.

I’ve been to Aquarium West several times and I’ve only ever had nice experiences. The one time I purchased a large tank, they helped me carry it to my car and when I had questions about the plants and livestock their staff was very knowledgeable and would help me find exactly what I was looking for. The girl that works there is honestly the best! There was one time where she helped me brainstorm a plan for re-aquascaping my tank.
Overall, I highly recommend it here :)

This one is fish acquarium where you can get myriad fishes to grow them as your pets! Also this shop sells acquarium fish tanks and other parts necessary for the tanks, fish foods, filters etc. But you wouldn't get all the parts. Owner is not friendly assistance but still you can get help. Currently they have a replacement friendly assistant owner.

A small place for animals stuff you can find almost everything you need. The employees are very nice and helpful, I was looking for aquarium she told me even if I don't have we can make a special order for you. They have a beautiful selection of fishes.

There are not enough stars for this cat hotel! It’s totally a game changer in the pet care business! When I first noticed it 3 weeks ago it almost gave me whiplash MEOW CLUB was eye catching. I turned around and went in to inquire. Talked with the owner who was supppper friendly and knew all about cat care! I took their card and went home and thought I need to bath my cats! I texted them and I booked a appointment for Doraemon for the 28th! Wow even more impressed when I arrived at appointment time and we were greeted by the owner and Dory felt no stress. They took pics and a video of Dory that they forwarded to me. Booked a appointment for Garfield in April. Totally recommend MEOW CLUB for cats only!

I recently took my furry best friend to for a grooming session and I was thoroughly impressed with the results. From the moment we walked in, the staff was friendly and welcoming, making my dog feel comfortable and ease. The groomer was professional, knowledgeable, and attentive to my dog's needs, and took the time to understand exactly what I was looking for in terms of the grooming style and cut.
I was pleasantly surprised to see my dog come out looking and feeling great, with a shiny coat and a happy wag in his tail. The groomer did an exceptional job, and I couldn't be more pleased with the results!
They are truly the best in the business, and I will definitely be taking my dog back for future grooming sessions!

They have really cute stuff for small and big dogs! Really nice toys and variety of food. They lack a couple of things such as treat bags and some food that I've found in other places.

A while back one of the owners took the time to find me dog food that would suit my greyhound's low protein diet. My dog had stage 2 renal failure and since being on the diet, it never progressed further than stage 2. I've been going back there since. Always helpful!

I absolutely despise businesses that close early without notice, against their own posted hours of operation. They may have cheap, overproduced fish, and sometimes hard to find fish, but this business does not care about customers, business or anything beyond their own personal leisure time.
Will not support this lackluster business again, waste another dollar or moment after 3 consecutive circumstances where they have failed to do their bare minimum of a business as to stay open as THEY have designated, or even communicate online OR in the form of a post it note on the door.
With so much competition in this city, it is without question that I can get better service, price, and customer appreciation elsewhere like; Aquariums West, April's, King Ed's, Noah's pet ark, or even petsmart if I don't want to go to fish addicts in the outskirts.

If you go in expecting to get exceptional service and find a limited selection of very well-curated, high-quality pet foods and equipment, then you will be pleased with this store. We recently left our 2 kitties, Kobe and Evee in the care of the Meow Club for a week. We couldn't be happier with their service! The owners are kind and caring. You can really tell that they will treat your cats as if they were their own. We were able to see our cats through live video on our phone and they also sent cute videos of them periodically. Our cats were happy and cuddly when they came home. I can't say enough good things. Will be back the next time we go on vacation.

We bought our mini Golden Doodle from Ken at Dog Care Wonderland. He is healthy, energetic, and smart! Everything that Ken promised the puppy would be and delivered exactly what we were looking for. Ken spent time with us explaining the best way to care for him with feeding schedule and house training practices. He is extremely knowledgeable and has only the best pets.

My kitty had an overnight stay here, and I was definitely worried about him. The staff were attentive to the care of my cat, and tried their best to make him feel safe and comfortable. I loved the fact that we had access to the camera, so I was able to check on my cat whenever I wanted.

Bought 6 tetras from here. After they were bagged I walked out and noticed a few weren't looking so hot. I returned seconds later and told the lady that sold them to me. She goes "they are fine just shocked from being put in the bag"... I say ok sure and leave. Get home and sure enough 1 has already died..
Edit: one day later, and I've pulled 3 of 6 fish out of my tank. One died the other two have serious ICH. I would stay away from this store

I was going there for my cat food and then realized they had birds and fish in the back. I was shocked they had way too many birds sharing a cage and their Beta fish were in shockingly small spaces too. It's 2022 and we're better educated about how to keep pets, this is Not It. Do better.

Went in with a poodle, came out with a rat.... Honestly I couldn't be more disappointed with my puppy's haircut at this place after being referred from a friend for her yorkie and seeing other people's review of this place. I'm not sure what happened yesterday and wether they had a new person but my dog came back with an horrendous cut... Everything was uneven and it looked like he didn't even bother with her. It was a waste of my money as I could have even done a better job than this. I will not be coming back here again.
The store is quite big and offers a variety of choices. It offers a variety for all sorts of pets. They also offer some animals for sale ( adopt, don't shop) . The staff has always been friendly, especially the young lady you takes care of claw trimming. The various articles makes sure to fit from the low budget to the higher ones. I love the parrot , he is always a delight :) .

We bought a blue French Bulldog 3 years ago and a German Rottweiler 1 year ago from Ken. They are very pure breed, rare coat color, cute and smart. Really great family members and are excellent guard dogs for our families as well. The breeder service here is great and professional. We highly recommend the store to pet lovers.
I bought three budgies from here and they came healthy and I also got it for cheap.their big cages are totally worth it to buy and they are really kind people with a good heart ❤️ I will come back to this pet store. Really good place to go for shrimp. I got some really impressive blue caridina shrimp. They also have n impressive selection of high quality gold fish an koi. Aquariums are well run.

I go here often out of proximity I have a cat and dog so I always need something. They have a good selection of products and food, but honestly the service is meh... A few different people behind the counter don't normally greet customers, I bring my puppy when I go, not even a smile... common it's a puppy and you work at a pet store!! I used to shop at Too Zoo a few blocks away, I might go back there, customer service is miles ahead and they are so excited to see everyone who walks in. If the owners read this, you might want to put some extra flair on your customer service, pet parents care a lot about their "baby's" and my experience has left me wanting more.
Lisa is very charming and knowledgeable. I have been visiting her shop for a few years now and really like the wide array of decorative and aquatic equipment she provides. Her tanks are always clean and the fish and plants never carry snails!
The store was very clean, clearly laid out. The lady at the front was pretty quiet, not overly interactive. She did help us find a fish once asked, but didnt ask about how we were going to take care of it, tank suitability, nothing. My wife is really into marine biology and volunteered at an aquarium for several years. Both of us thought the fish were kept in tanks with the barest minimum of care. No substrate for anything, mislabeled tanks, and there were many fish that looked quite unwell. The prices were also very high. I would not recommend this store to anyone if you are looking for healthy fish. Their prices for food, decor, and such weren't too bad.

Resident cats are absolutely gorgeous and friendly , very good selection of items at least for individuals of the feline persuasion ( I admit I have not perused the canine section but it seems as varied as the cat section). Very friendly and helpful staff !

We went here this afternoon as first-time dog parents and we were treated so well! Great service, great selection, no pushiness and really seemed to care about what was best for our dog. They also gave him some parting gifts. Excellent service.
The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. You can come in with your pet and their almost always get a little treat and tons of attention from the staff. On big orders (I have 2 dogs and a cat) they almost always throw in a little something free. They also have a great loyalty program where when you buy 12 bags of the same food (which happens like every 6-8 months), you get a free bag. You also accumulate points on every purchase. Ask for the loyalty card it's with it and when you get that free bag, boy oh boy does it feel good.
One of the worst fish stores I've been to. As others have said, overcrowded dirty tanks that look like they don't get much care. The livestock is not taken care of well at all. Good selection of fish tank products but the prices aren't much different than anywhere else. If you want to support an ethical fish store, don't go here. Go somewhere else like Aquariums West.
