I just want to give a huge shout out to Colleen for giving me & my family the best customer service and helping me pick out the best fixtures for my home. She was very nice, patient and professional; definitely will be shopping here often. Keep up the great work Colleen!! 😊
I am a PSW and was visiting a disabled client when he received a call from an employee of this store. I was shocked at the utter cruelty of the employee. Talking to him as if he was less than human. Shaming him for being on disability. Treating him like he didn't matter because the few essentials (dresser, lamp, microwave, etc.) were being paid for by a 3rd party. This store was getting the business. It shouldn't have mattered who was paying. The employee was insistent that my client go into the store despite the fact that delivery had been set up and paid for. My client can barely walk! The employee hung up on him more than once. I encouraged him to call the manager but he's the kind of person that despite being in tears after this call, refused to report the employee because her conduct was so egregious he was certain she would lose her job. I'm writing this review and not putting his name or the employee name in it to respect his wishes. To the best of my knowledge his items still haven't been delivered. Without the microwave his meal choices are extremely limited. BTW, my client spent thousands of hours volunteering building homes for Habitat. You should be ashamed!!!

Great friendly service! Things change every visit so it's worth visiting often if you don't find what you are looking for the first time. They participate in Georgian College student work programs making them a great community business as well.
Ladies at the front are super friendly! Many of the staff always ask if you need assistance finding anything.
The Assistant Manager, Scott, could use a bit of customer service training. Doesn’t greet visitors with any sort of a positive attitude and can be quite standoffish. Not overly friendly and quite blunt. If he’s the face and representative of the Habitat Restore, he should have a more pleasant demeanor. Can’t hurt to address customers with a smile and talk in a less combative way. Makes me less likely to visit on days that he is present.
Overall, if you like hunting for bargains - this is a good place. Just don’t expect management to make your visit very warm and inviting.

Great place to find some interesting things at very reasonable prices. They have quite a large assortment of household products. The place is always clean and well organized and prices are marked clearly.
Employees that work there are also very friendly and helpful. I was completing my purchase very close to their closing time, but Julia and Matt who were at the counter still offered and wrapped several fragile items I had purchased in paper so I could carry them back safely without damaging them. That was above and beyond great customer service.

I was in your store on the weekend and found some items were priced almost as much as they would be as new. It’s not the first time I’ve seen this. I realize it’s hard to know what ever product is worth and how much it should be priced. But when the customer insists that a product in your store is selling for 3 dollars less than retail the clerk should listen and check the internet along with the customer. The clerk said she could not change the price. I was referring to a quart of paint/primer for $15.00 when you could buy it for $16.00 to $21.00 new and unmixed. I wanted to give your store the business but I walked out. I would have gladly paid $10.00 for it if given the chance. I found 2 cans of paint that were marked for $5.00 but the clerk said that someone just put that sticker on the can. I could have argued about getting it for $5 but I didn’t. Anyways take care.
I just thought....I never do on line surveys. But I'm adding a wrap around deck to my house..so I have 2 receipts and TRIED to enter the 3000.oo contest...it would not work for either..
They gave some good prices. The store isn't huge but had the plumbing parts I needed that I couldn't find elsewhere in town. The store is a little dated looking but it was clean

Manager is completely incompetent his solution to most customer related problems is sending them out the door, terrible customer service, complete lack of product knowledge, missing orders half the yard doesn’t seem to know what a 2x4 is, they also come with a completely unorthodox and over complicated way of purchasing things where you get a form at one desk and pay at another making you wait in multiples long lineups, not ideal for any serious contractors, installed sales in a bureaucratic nightmare in which half the contractors don’t actually get paid but I digress, stay far away from this store if you value your time and money.

not competent workers. When you do your best to deliver to the store on time. Staff is doing that they want and not unloading by appointment, they choice by themselves who are they first will unload, and they scare you with the fact that if this is not so, then they will work slowly. Welcome to criminal in Home Depots store.

Beautiful store, but they've got to find a more personable clerk. Our experience there would have warranted a 5 star rating, but this employee was impatient, rude and irritated. Not a pleasant experience.
Purchased a portable drill this weekend. Friendly staff, very helpful and knowledgeable. I'm new to home repair and was very grateful how patient the staff were with me to explaining things.

Aside from some deliverability issues, which originated with the manufacturer, the sectional we ordered with lumbar support is terrific. It's nice to be able to watch TV without ending up with a sore back!
Got what i wanted quick and out the door in 10 min. Staff assisted me , where to find items . fast checkout and on the road again .
Ordered a garage door. Was told it would take a maxium of 6 weeks, I said sure order it. After 6 weeks I call to see where it is. Was told the supplier didn't receive some parts yet. After another week I call again, this time was told the supplier told them back on week 6 it would be a additional 4 weeks. Very poor communication!

I used to go here all the time. Knew where everything was. Found recently that I can't find anything. Spend more time in storage at times then getting projects done. For that I recommend ordering online and picking up at store. I do like going in and getting my lumber in store myself. So it makes up for that
Always find something awesome here every time I visit. I love that they have a bunch of odds and sods. Little bundles of markers, gift bags, lined paper, magazines, half packs of screws, etc. majority of thrift shops pass this stuff by and it continues on to our landfill… I appreciate that they take the time to put these items out to be saved.
We drop in periodically to see what we can find. Constantly changing stock, some bargains, sometimes not, but always an eclectic mix of stuff. I picked up a brand new mini fridge for $50 for the basement awhile ago. And I'm constantly replacing lost screwdrivers from their stash.
This place has most things that you need. I was very happy to shop here to fix a shelf at my place they had the right screws and holders. Wonderful people.

I was looking for scaffolding in order to install a fan and Home Depot had the right gear. The staff at both pickup and return were easy to deal with and super helpful. I booked for a day but managed to get everything done quickly and made it back in time to only have to pay for a 4 hour rental. I will be back again should the need arise.
Biggest ReStore I've ever been to! Great place to find a bargain and they have good deals on furniture, appliances, and more. They have an amazing well-organized media room that is filled to the brim with books, DVDs, games etc, and they also have a great selection of brand-new clothing. I love thrifting here for high-quality second-hand furniture as they get great items donated and there is always something unique and interesting to find. Staff and volunteers are always so attentive and lovely. A must-visit place in Lindsay if you love to thrift!
Stopped to shop and use the washroom, only to find a sign on the door that said “washroom out of service”. Covid sure made it convenient for places to ignore simple hospitable acts like having a customer washroom. I’m pretty sure a store this size is required, by law, to have an accessible washroom. Once we saw the sign, we didn’t even bother opening the door.
I hate to say it, but their prices are getting a little high. I saw a small metal tray today, nothing special, for $25! Should have been $5 at MOST. The furniture is also priced way too high for some items. Yes, thrifting is trendy, but don't forget that more and more people need to purchase secondhand these days because of financial hardship, not because of a trend. Inflation isn't an excuse for higher prices when you are a donation-based charity.
Always a go to, even for just a look around. Staffs always friendly, supply’s sometimes an issue especially when I order online, however that’s everywhere.

I used to work here and I hadn't seen the store since Sam took it over. It is fantastic ,so professional looking outside and inside. Sam brought the store up to this century! He has redesigned the inside for a better flow of shopping. Everything is amazing and I can't wait to buy more good quality furniture from him one day soon.
This outlet store is always busy but large enough to handle the volumes of people. Staff is friendly and helpful if a little rushed at the checkout. Value is the driving force here and as yet can't be beat

They had some nice pieces there. However, there were a few pieces that I had seen at spadonis furniture, that were around $50-$100 cheaper at the other store. I went in looking for something in particular, when I was asking the person there about it he seemed a bit rude and dismissive. Probably won't go back, just on principle.

After viewing their website I saw they had a lawn tractor I was interested in buying advertised on sale $200 off. I called to see if they had any in stock or if they could get one in and that I would buy it if they did. The woman I spoke to said I'd need to talk to the manager and he would call me back in the afternoon...its now been 2 weeks and no phone call. Was I expecting too much? I bought elsewhere.
The Staff here are very knowledgeable, and very helpful. It’s amazing to see that the staff go the extra mile to ensure you find the correct item. But they all seem to be very unhappy working there. when I talk to them they mention a guy named Dave, and how he’s always disrespecting the Employees. Sounds like whoever this Dave guy is needs to be assessed in order to make Brady’s a fun place to work. I was told to give 1 star because of Dave the Store Manager.

I used to go to the Uxbridge store, but they have permanently closed. This store is much bigger and a better set up. I was shocked at some of the prices considering that it is supposed to help people in need, seemed a little high. All in all a good store and a good cause. This is a reply to the owners response. I brought a wing chair in that was about 10 years old(but still in great condition). I paid about 70 bucks for it at a clearance sale at the Brick. Within minutes, you had it on the floor for 65 bucks. I saw other items whose prices were higher than what they should be. Also, I am not the only one who has commented on the pricing. In fact, many people have commented. Time to reconsider your pricing. One would think that your primary goal is to supply items and materials to people without sufficient means to purchase them at a retail location. Instead, you are pricing higher, closer to retail, to support a charity that supports those same people. Seems to me if you start with proper pricing, your charity wouldn't need to raise as much money.
Excellent quality furniture, Sam is so good to deal with. Just got my new couch. Excellent communication about delivery, they worked with my schedule, came exactly when they said they would. Definitely will continue using them in the future

Ordered windows to this store and when they arrived, they sent them back instead of receiving them. Simple mistake, cost me hundreds of dollars.

Went to buy a generator this morning, there was one left I asked staff if I could plug a 30 amp plug in it. I was barked at from the back of the store “no”. Staff did not check. I left and researched it myself and it would take a 30 amp plug as shown on their website. I returned to get the product and it was sold to another customer. I have spent a lot of money and time in this store renovating my house. I will drive to New Minus from now on customer service sucks. It would have taken 3 minutes of their time to check.

I shop local as much as I can , went to Brady’s for a chain for my saw , johnsarad , when told to ask the guy who works on the saws he asked what saw it was in telling him he said “ we don’t sell them did u not see the sign ,still , well I have been around a few more years then this guy and the way he talked to me was enough to turn me off of going there again in saying that I have been going there for over 30 years and was never talked to by anyone like that in my life . Good luck in the future hope he keeps away for the plubic .

I bought a lamp with a switch issue for a great price at another local vintage store, and immediately took it here as I know they are experts in light fixture repair. After a couple minutes of looking at the switch, the friendly, helpful man working at the counter fixed the issue - for no charge, while I was happy to pay for the service. I have another lamp in need of repair and will certainly be bringing it here for service. I highly recommend this place both for light fixture repair and for unique vintage/salvage wares they have on offer - its selection is like no other shop I've seen in Toronto.
This is one of my favourite places in the city. It is full of interesting, beautiful treasures at very reasonable prices. Also, they are super friendly and knowledgeable and will take the time showing and teaching you things. I had a beautiful lamp that was broken, I took it all over town and everyone told me it was going to be either impossible or expensive. Took it into Williams to see what they would say….. fixed the switch in 10mins, and are going to send me option for a new milk glass shade in a range of affordable prices! He also took the time to show me the materials he used and how he did it so I could do it on my own if I ever wanted. Best shop in Toronto.
They did not deliver after the product was paid for. They promised it would be delivered Monday: they didn't show up; they promised Tuesday; this is now Wednesday, we're not expecting delivery until tomorrow or next week.

Had a fantastic time! The hosts are super people and took us on a tour around their place and told us the history of Hitchcock’s cabin and a little about the man himself! For donating in Barrie they are terrible i just brought in a whole truck load and they took nothing because the receiver said it wasn't up to their standards. But the one thing was a coffee table and the end tables built by mini nights and very good quality very heavy worth over 250.00 and all that was a problem was a drawer handle the end had broken which is a quick fix but he turned away. They get everything free and it is to help build houses for people having problems. But they won't take it and just sell it a little less than usual. It is still money coming in to help build. I just don't understand when the restore started to have such high standards for what they received for free???and could sell just cheaper. Well i told the man this is the second time they have done this and i will not be back to donate ever again to that store.i love shopping there but that store just lost my business it is too bad but wont go back. Like WOW. You cant even give nice stuff away and just want to help and pass it on without having to add to the garbage for the dump when perfectly good.

Amazing staff. Extremely helpful and even work as local tour guides when asked where to get this or do that. Helped choose straight pieces and loaded the wood into the back of our truck. :)

I couldn't be happier with my furniture buying experience! Attentive but not pushy customer service. I felt like I could trust Sam's recommendations so that saved me a ton of time. We even had a few laughs. I can't recommend them enough or the fact that they sell an excellent Canadian made product!
From the time we walked in the staff were extremely helpful. We had been to other furniture stores in the soo and I never experienced customer service like we did here. Also the selection was absolutely amazing hundreds of colours of fabric and styles to choose from not like the other stores where you only have two options. when we told the staff that we had just bought a house they were so excited for us and did all they could to help us with measuring to make sure the furniture would fit. When we got the furniture the delivery people were amazing. A few weeks into having the furniture we noticed that some of the threading was coming loose on the couch we had purchased. Right away the staff went above and beyond to ensure the couch was fixed. They did so quick and efficiently. Absolutely amazing service will definitely be buying here from now on.
Always enjoy dealing with the folks here...I wish they redeem Air Miles instead of going to Rona Tantallon. I guess that’s moot now that they were bought out by Home Hardware. I like Bucks Home Hardware but hate the stupid Aeroplan useless program...Home Hardware sometimes loses out to Kent, Shur Gain, or Rona because of the Air Miles deals and rewards. Sucks for HH...

Friendly staff to work with
Staff is friendly and helpful. Lots of home improvement, project and tools available. They also have seasonal things like a garden center, decorations for Halloween/Christmas. I love the Halloween stuff personally. Lol..

My experience with them started off strong but quickly diminished after the sale. Purchased what I thought was a quality dining set and fast forward to 1.5 years later the finish is flaking off - its not even stained! Researched and apparently this is a known defect but of course warranty is only 1 year so they won't fix it. Spoke to the owner and she said its not her problem as she didn't make the table. She did offer me a $100 gift card which I declined - I won't be deceived by them again. Next time I'll go to IKEA and at least get what I expect!
The folks here are very friendly and very knowledgeable. I came in with a fix-it project and the person at the cash register listened to my dilemma and got somebody to help me fix it. It wasn't necessarily a service they provide but the guy did it for me for free. I did buy some parts to support their business.
