An excellent trail to walk/bike/run and enjoy a beautiful part of the City.
The Seawalk doesn't allow dogs, despite it being a very wide, completely concrete path that is raised and well away from the shoreline and every other Seawall in the Vancouver area welcoming them (on leash, of course). West Vancouver needs to do some real thinking about how it wants to develop this neighborhood, as it's currently half vacant and entirely rich, old people.
Excellent relaxing hike .

What a way to spend New Years Eve 2023. This 90 percent flat trail has some lovely views. It will make you feel good to walk this trail.
Love this seawall , great views and places to chill
It was a great day with a nice weather for the good walk today (Dec.15 2023)at seaside of West Vancouver
Went in mid November very nice hike a little bit muddy but the falls were absolutely amazing definitely recommend going here. For better views take the trail past the first viewing point and get up close

This is a very simple, basic walk with an amazing view. You can walk along the ocean, catch the sunrise and the sunset. I have actually come down here every morning since I moved to the island. Even started running in the morning on this path. Great for ease and consistency.

Such a beautiful hike! The view of the falls from the Top Lookout point is incredible. Highly recommend!

Some details for reference:
- From this point on the map it’s an easy 2.4km hike to the Wapta Falls Top Lookout (plenty of parking here like 30 cars easily). However, during off season months when the front gate is closed, add about 2km to your hike for you to walk to the start of the trail (so a total of 4.4km one way).
- You can still park at the front gate, only enough parking spots for 6-8 cars max (free).
- Definitely not baby stroller-friendly as there are plenty of exposed tree roots and inclines/declines along the trail.
- Washrooms available at the start of the trail parking lot.
- Trail is very well maintained

For the Apple Watch workout enthusiasts (round trip, there and back at off season)
Elapsed time: 2 hours 13 minutes
Distance: 8.2 km
Elevation Gain: 150 m

Overall the trail is good. However, between trail 6 and 7 some parts are in poor condition (especially between station 1 and 5 ). Hence, needs to be careful.

A nice stroll beside the ocean, some places to sit. Worth a visit if you are in the area.

Today was my first attempt climbing the Dundurn, and definitely, one of the best workouts this week!

With only approximately 330 steps, my goal was to climb up and down the flight of stairs in less than 15 minutes, and I thankfully achieved that goal.

Having the handrail made navigating the stairs all the easier.

Helpful tip for beginners: Pace yourself and start out slow: walk the stairs. The most common mistake new climbers make is going too fast too soon, burning out early. They end up pushing too far and getting physically ill. You need to develop momentum.
Awesome place to visit. Up a long off road track but easily drivable. Toilets in the carpark. About a half a hour walk to the falls. You can walk down the the bottom but we just stopped at the two viewing points.

Great place to stop in for a quick workout! I spotted a port-a-potty as well as a fountain which was really nice! The stairs were in great repair but I don’t think I would like it with snow or ice. Hamilton has so much to offer. This was truly a hidden treasure!
Fairly easy trail to hike. Good amount of elevation. Stay longer and have a bath near the falls. Bring towels and extra clothes if you plan to do so.
Beautiful trail for biking. Highly recommend getting your own bike for these trails. I used the city share bike. It gets challenging when riding uphill.
The trail has multiple pitstops with restrooms.
This trail is a must try if you live nearby, also good for biking and hiking or taking your furry friend for a walk.
It was a beautiful hike but got too many mosquito bites yikes! There's a different path for bikers too which I regret not taking. There's just so much to explore. We got lost in our path many times. Used Google maps to find our way back lol. Overall I had a fun time with friends.

Spectacular
Wonderful fall. 2.5 km one way trail with incline and decline of off road however it was worth the hard work, you got the best view of waterfalls 3 times from front view, top view, side view… Please take clothes and towels with you if you want to have a fun under the fall.
Easy to walk until you see the water. After that point a difficult way down and up. Go only with waterproof hiking shoes, not in Flip Flops or Sneakers. Take water with you. Please dont do it carrying little babys. They dont like it, dusty, no facilities on the way, loud noise at the waterfall, lots of roots so mind your steps. Dont do it with very small dogs, they hate it. For them the way is much longer due to the short legs. If xou go down to the front better be prepared with a rain cape. Walking sticks will hrlp you, as it could be very slippy.
Beautiful hike. We found the trail quite easy. Did it with our 6 and 8 year old. Felt good to go close to the falls on a hot day.

Staircase leading up and down the Niagara Escarpment - it goes through the Bruce Trail, and will also help take you to the Upper Chedoke falls. It's good for exercise as well, such a jogging or running.
My favorite fall in the area!! We had so much fun climbing and splashing!! It’s a bit of hike there but its an easy trail and it lets the place to be less busy and more enjoyable.

Go down to the fall and up the rock if you can, though it’s a bit steep and you will get wet, it was such a fun thing to do! Kids and dogs friendly.

Great to go for a leisurely walk and view the neighboring islands in the Georgia Strait. Occasionally see the luxury cruise lines heading in and out of Vancouver. Sometimes fishing boats or sailboats doing their thing. Some days parking is a problem but you learn to live with it. Nearby pickle ball areas and ball diamonds are busy in the mornings. Kids soccer on the weekends. Lions have a great kid's kid's area. Lots of activities going on. Be sure to visit when the sand sculptures are being built. Lots of tremendous talent. Just be sure to leave the park as you found it please. CLEAN AND TIDY.

Currently closed (for a few weeks now) with no real timeline for being open. Looks like damage next to the stairway at the top needs repairing. Update: appears to be reopened now. Great stairs for exercise lovers who don't mind getting close to people going the other way.
Get ready to conquer the Lower Don Recreation Trail in Toronto because this city park is the ultimate biking and hiking hotspot. It's not just good, it's like winning the lottery good. So pack your gear, grab your squad, and let's hit the trails like the boss adventurers we are.
Great little trail, I go here often to clear my mind and enjoy the weather. It can be a bit tricky during the winter and doesn’t have much lighting at night but it’s safe otherwise.

Suitable for walking, there are not many stairs, and you can see the beach after the stairs.
Best trail for snow hiking in winters

Nice and easy walk along the beach. Stairs are much easier than wreck beach’s. One of the best places to watch the sunset
Very nice trail and woods, and good markings. Sausage store at entrance with a wood fire going, good bathrooms. Dogs allowed.

started working out here and the longer breaks at the bottom of the stairs make a difference in warm up and cool down! I'm going to try exploring along the trails that the stairs branch off to as well, view is beautiful too 😁

Beautiful and so worth the hike. Trekking poles came in handy. Windy and cold at the pass.
Steep in some places.
Would definitely do it again.
great vast territory with multiple trails, beautiful mixed forest, fat black squirrels everywhere, dogs asked to be on the leash, 5$ entrance fee, very well-marked trails: for hiking, biking, raquettes, ski. enjoyed a lot

Such a wonderful walk, in any season.
Checked this trail out for the first time and really enjoyed it. Was pretty quiet. You don't hear the water as its pretty slow moving. The trees were changing colors beautifully. I was both walking and skateboarding the path. It's not the smoothest or cleanest for a skateboard with small hard wheels. But there are some medium size hills that were fun to bomb down. Overall its a chill and picturesque trail for walking, biking and even some skateboarding.
Very nice trail for biking. we parked the car and rode down to the lower don river trail. The trail is very flat not many upslopes. This trail is good for me as amateur rider. There are signs that riders cannot go over 20km. Along there are a lot of nice views for photo. This trail is good for walking. Good for people with kids too.

Depends on what you're there for. Great to get down from the escarpment to the trail down by the golf course. As far as for exercise the stairs are narrow and the risers uneven but offers a great little work out for free with nice views 🙂

The stairs are fun and challenging. There’s lots of places to stop and have a rest on the way to the top. The view is awesome! The landings are made so you may pass others with room to spare.

Trail full of stairs 🤓 approximately 300 (I lost count after 250 🤣) Free street side parking till sunset. Trail leads to Wreck beach which is a clothing optional area. It’s a nice and quiet place. Good for quick getaways, soak sun and a little stairs workout 💪
That was a great trail of ups and downs (and switchbacks). Really enjoyed it - there were times that I forgot that I was in the City.

Foreshore Trail, known as Trail 6/7, accessible from Wreck Beach and Old Marine Drive.

Wreck Beach is clothing optional, but there are visible signage halfway of the stairs for both Trail 6 and 7, one may see nudist along the trail and the beach.

Beware of high tides which can flood the trail at times year-round. Fall/Winter weather damages the trail from time to time. Windstorms during winter 2021/22 season already caused substantial damages to the trail (fallen trees from Wreck Beach in the North and certain section of the trail from Trail 7 in the South has been washed away. Use extreme caution. Construction work is underway from Wreck Beach side of the trail as of January 2022.

PETS not permitted between March 1 and September 30. Parking for Foreshore Trail from Old Marine Drive entrance closes shortly after sunset.

Super nice! Not icy at all. You can make your own loop. We did about a 9km loop from this stairs to cliffhill park and went down those stairs to scenic drive. Highly recommend as it was pretty flat also.

Amazing area for hiking and or biking above the Don River areas. Many trails to choose from and today we decided on the beginner trail as we had been hiking other areas. This took around 30 to 45 minutes and very nice. Take a photo of the map on the way in after you cross the bridge over the Don River. The trails branch off and can be confusing as we kept seeing the same groups pass us but they didn't ask for directions. We used Google Maps to follow the right trail.
Perfect spot for anyone, some upgrades and down grades but wear the proper footwear for snow covered trails. Some were enjoying mountain bikes and others walking the family dogs. We will be back again and try a different trail.
We went for a 2 hour hike on a fall day and it was lovely. You are right in the heart of the city, but still surrounded by trees and walking next to the river. Great for biking or walking.
Absolutely amazing park. The trails here are gorgeous and the maintenance is done well. Lookout for secret off trails where you can and bike through the forest.
Sight seeing park with easy trails
you can see some snake 🐍🐍🐍
Concrete trail alongside the Don River. Pretty popular spot as the parking lot was full and the paths had lots of people on them. There are lots of cyclists whizzing by so be careful if you're bringing small children. Every once in a while you'll find a path that leads off the main path for a little extra exploring, but it's nice even sticking to the main path. A pleasant walk with sun and shade.

* consider not going during high tides / uneasy sea.
This is a great trail, beautiful scenery at all times. Was pretty chill when i went in March and April.
One good thing about it is that you can quit at multiple points and head back to UBC.
Small challenging point is walking on rocks at all times requires a bit of focus to not twist an ankle.

A challenging hike but with a high payoff in terms of views! You can see beautiful Lake O’Hara below, and if it’s a clear day, you can see Oesa in the distance as well.

It will take you about 30mins to 2 hours to get up here from O’Hara. Worth the stunning views, but bundle up because it’s windy!
Nice place to walk dog and kids. The land is on sale right now. I hope the next land Lord could keep it as now.

Great views. Wear footwear for walking on rocks, sand, logs, dirt trails. Most of the beach area is nudist, however almost everyone wearing clothes the day I went thankfully.
This place is great if you like walking or running on trails. A fabulous place for dogs as they can run off leash.

Perfect for bringing your four legged companions on a walk through some woods
Cross country skiing, snowshoeing, running biking and a great place to walk your dog! Even some areas are ok with off leash. They also rent equipment. Would be 5 stars if the different paths were better marked. I strongly advise it!
