The food was amazing, everything was super fresh and they use local ingredients. I love that they are constantly changing the menu, I am excited to go back and see what they have.

The food was good. The beef tartar was amazing, as expected. We love how they roasted the bread with butter; it's crispy and flavourful. The sausage was different than we expected but in a good way. I like how they did the potato; it was soft but crunchy. The portion was okay. Two main dishes were good enough for the two of us for brunch.
The restaurant is small, so you might expect to wait 15-45 minutes.
The only minus point is that our server didn’t seem very friendly and attentive. He made us feel like we did something wrong when we asked for recommendations.

Came here for my boyfriends birthday. We were in the dining area, our server, Bailey was wonderful, but Chanel or Shanelle (Sorry I didn't ask how to spell it!), stole the show.
5 stars to her. Everything was absolutely delicious, however, we had an issue during dinner, and she witnessed and handled it professionally, sweetly and with empathy and understanding. We won't be returning any time soon, but I definitely recommend being seated in her area, you won't be disappointed!

With Joey’s being one of my favourite restaurants It’s really hard to disappoint me. This afternoon I got to enjoy Joey’s at their early happy hour. Had an amazing time. The Choice selections were also amazing but my server threw it over the top. SHENELLE was so attentive and was so patient with my children. Her service was amazing always checking in on us, making sure that our meal was going great and paid attention to little things like refilling our drinks without having to be asked. When I go out and spend my money, This is the type of service I love to get thanks for another great experience , Joey’s!

Food was delicious and reasonably priced / good portions. Had the beef tartare, oysters and few brunch items. Service was good and great environment for conversations

Excellent Joey's location. The day we went for lunch, they gave us a free champagne sample. 😋. The staff are friendly and the service is really good. The food is delicious. They have some tasty bowls. Really nice atmosphere.

I went to Union for dinner tonight with a friend. We shared the Union Salad, the Polenta and the Gnocchi! All three were AMAZING! We sat at the kitchen bar. Watching all the food that came out made me wish I had room to order all the other great dishes that I saw came out while enjoying our dishes. I have include a picture of the sticky cake we ordered for dessert since I was full enough to pause and grab a picture before devouring it. 10/10 I will definitely be back!

Visited Symposium cafe for the first time, was quite amazed with the quality of food, portion sizing and the wonderful customer.

We were served by Olivia, she was wonderful and very humble. The owners came to check up on us as well. Must say the overall experience surpassed by expectation.

Great experience at symposium milton The service was top-notch, thanks to sunshine who made our desst. the atmosphere was cozy and inviting, and the food was amazing. Every dish was flavorful and expertly prepared. Highly recommend!

Come to this spot if you looking for a nice and trendy spot to hangout and enjoy good food with friends. Prepare to wait if you have no reservation cause lots of people already know that Joeys is where it’s at! I came on a Tuesday night after work to celebrate my friend’s birthday. The evening started off with a complimentary glass of Prosecco ( and that’s a lovely touch that set the tone for an evening of excellent customer service. Taylor, or waitress, was very attentive and patient ( Lord knows we worked her last nerve trying to place our order, but she was gracious, warm, and smiled and never made us feel rushed). I tweaked one of the orders to suit my pallet and she made sure the kitchen staff was able to do the switch. She was even kind enough to take our pictures and gave no attitude when we asked for retake. Service from order to table was not ridiculous ( and trust me I would kind cause I was famished. The food was great. I was even more happy that I didn’t pay extra for switching out the chicken from my Mediterranean salad. The service was superb and the environment was perfect to celebrate. We were not rushed to give up the table ( and yes, it’s cause we were there when it was not outrageously busy). The complimentary birthday brownies were just enough for two and tasted so good. I always enjoy my time at Joeys and this evening out didn’t not disappoint. Thanks for the excellent service, Taylor! Our night was truly memorable

Wow Chelsea! She deserves more than 5 stars for her genuine kindness and service. The food was not what we expected but her service gave it 5 stars review. The way she handled the issues with the food was impressive. We didn’t have to ask her to do anything, she took ownership to take care of the food. Thank you again for the phenomenal service. I wish every server can be like Chelsea! Keep up the amazing work you do! Great service is never forgotten. We will be back because of you Chelsea!

Me and my friend decided to try their halal menu and it was delicious to begin with. The server attending us was very sweet she helped us with the menu and kept checking on if we needed anything. They had happy hour starting so we tried the chicken taco with fries and the pesto chicken penne asiago and the chicken was sooo juicy and amazing. Definitely a nice place to try given the service and food taste.

Had a great dining experience at Joey! We ordered one appetizer for share, and our server, Jamie Lee, went the extra mile by having it split into two beautifully plated portions for easy sharing. Very thoughtful. And, the food was flavorful, with each dish beautifully presented.

Had a lovely brunch at this restaurant for Thanksgiving, their weekend brunch was not available but they were open which was awesome to say the least !! Some amazing chicken waffle, symposium burger, sweet potato fries, I can give the teriyaki bowl a miss for sure, the waffles and pancakes were yumm!!

Another fabulous experience at Joeys. The day manager (I think her name is Amanda) at the Don Mills restaurant is an absolutely wonderful human being. Super friendly and happy to help. My server Angelica was amazing and the food was outstanding as always. I love the grilled chicken sandwich with a gluten free bun and their side salad. It is always served hot and fresh. And the salad is delicious. The tiny strawberry cheesecake was perfect to end the meal.

Everything was delicious. The atmosphere was really nice and had a pretty solid meal. The cauliflower appetizer was really tasty and that chocolate lava cake is exceptional. The rib steak was quite nice but perhaps on the expensive side for the quality of the cut but it was cooked perfectly. Staff was very attentive and the atmosphere is really nice.

We had a group dinner for a party of 8. The service was really great. The food came out very quickly from the time we ordered. The inside is nicely done and kept. We have been to one other location of Symposium and that was in bad shape.

Vegetarian Wrap and Side Greek Salad - was pretty underwhelming. Nothing special, just a bunch of fresh veggies and some dressing.

Vegan Beyond Wrap - Again a Beyond Burger with a bun and lettuce tomatoes pickle and onion. No creativity, specialty, or something that one couldn’t do at home. The fries were done perfectly.

Decided to try Milestones at Scarborough Town instead of the regular Keg and was not disappointed
Saturday night Sept.21 @6:30pm 4 adults and one 5 year old was seated and greeted by Marco
He introduces himself , provided menu”s and then took the time to explain and show us pretty much every thing in menu
We ordered two appetizers (calamari and chili chicken bits) and they we delicious
Our 5 year old ate most of the calamari's.We ordered main course and they were all delivered quickly by Marco and several staffers and all very satisfying and delicious
Marco would check in often to ensure all was well
I have been to several restaurants and the waiter service here was what it should be like at all restaurants. We were all impressed

Friendly, helpful and courteous staff. Excellent seating space and atmosphere. Delicious food. The steaks were lukewarm. Though cooked properly but must’ve been sitting longer than expected before got served to us.

So me and my little sis just celebrated our birthday here and the service was exceptional. Our servers were the absolute best and the food was delicious. The atmosphere was pleasant and their hospitality was warm. Our host/server started us off with some sarcasm and it was funny ngl. The service was prompt and they took care of us so well. I look forward to dining here again. Very demure, very mindful.

I had an absolutely wonderful lunch experience at Symposium Cafe! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and excellent service. The atmosphere is inviting, cozy, and perfect for a relaxing meal.

The menu has a fantastic variety of options, and everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. I especially loved the fish and chips, which was perfectly cooked. The portion sizes were generous, and the prices were very reasonable for the quality.

What truly stood out was the attentiveness of the staff. They made sure we had everything we needed, and their genuine care made the experience even more enjoyable. The cafe was also spotless, which is always a huge plus.

My wife and I visited this restaurant to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and I couldn’t be happier with our choice! A friend recommended this place, and I’m so glad we decided to go. We had an amazing experience from start to finish.

The staff was incredibly friendly, and to our surprise, the owner personally came to our table to ask how he could make our evening more special. He assured us we would be served fresh, hot food, and even treated us to a delightful dessert.

Speaking of dessert, it was phenomenal! Both the taste and presentation were top-notch—truly a highlight of the meal.

We had a good experience in Symposium yesterday . The food was good and ambience and service were great !!

We tried the beyond meat burger with Mediterranean salad , Pad Thai and some desserts . The Pad Thai was a tad bit sweet rest were good . We enjoyed the Italian soda

Dining outside was a pleasure, but the true highlights were the mouthwatering elk sliders and the exceptional service—a perfect blend of attentiveness and laid-back charm.

Came here tonight for my co-workers retirement party. I suggested the portebello mushroom chicken for everyone and they all loved it. Also I got the shrimp & scallop scampi, roasted mushroom soup and white chocolate cheesecake. All very filling and hearty choices. Service was impeccable and quick. Would revisit for sure.

I recently dined here with my family and was quite disappointed with the experience. We were seated on the upstairs patio around 7:40 PM, where we ordered appetizers and drinks for the five of us. While our server was pleasant and attentive, we encountered a significant issue when our main courses arrived around 8:15 PM.

At that point, we were informed that it was the last call for food and drinks because the manager had decided to close the upstairs patio early. This decision was particularly frustrating since we had just started our meals and hadn't even had the chance to order additional drinks or desserts. My father-in-law, understandably upset, questioned the server about the abrupt closure, only to be told we could pay for our meal on the patio and then move downstairs for any additional orders, as the rest of the restaurant would remain open.

This approach seemed quite baffling. If the patio was closing early, it would have made more sense to either not seat guests there or inform us of the early closure when we arrived. We were left feeling quite dismayed as we finished our meals.

As for the food, the appetizers were satisfactory, and my family's dishes were fine. However, my fish tacos were extremely dry and rubbery. Given the early closure and inability to order more food, I only managed to eat one taco out of necessity and left the rest. Overall, it was an unfortunate and frustrating evening.

I visited Milestones for an evening social event with my colleagues and had a good time overall.
The restaurant is a free-standing building next to Scarborough Town Centre, with plenty of parking spots, which I appreciated. Inside, it was spacious with ample seating. Here's what I ordered:
1989 Burger: The burger was just alright. It came with a choice of fries or a Caesar salad, and I got the salad. The patty was thick but ultimately disappointing. It was cooked well-done and had some juice, but not enough to compensate for its hard texture and lack of standout flavour. The other toppings, like bacon, cheese, and the soft sesame bun, were fine. The healthy amount of veggies and sauce, combined with the patty’s fat, made the burger messy and difficult to eat. Definitely not first-date food. The Caesar salad, on the other hand, had a good amount of cheese and dressing, though the veggies could have been a bit fresher.
Thanks to happy hour, I got the burger at a discount, which made the meal very affordable.
The overall ambiance was great. The server gave us space to chat and socialize, checking in occasionally to ensure everything was good. A 20% automatic gratuity was included in the final bill due to our large group, which was fine. The washroom was very clean.
Overall, I had a good experience. While the burger patty didn’t impress, the ambiance and value made up for it. I wouldn’t mind revisiting if I’m in the area.

Had an amazing dinner. Steak was cooked perfectly and dessert is a must have here! Would highly recommend! Sticky Ginger Cake is a must try. Can’t wait to come back

Chill vibe with various seating options, with the back patio hiding more seats than you'd think. Great food that uses some quality local meat and produce. They kindly offered to seat us between reservations on a busy Friday which was nice.

Had a great experience ! Good breakfast, great service by Louna and beautiful atmosphere. Owner came over to the table to make sure if the food is good.

Got the flambe burger and it was quite good! The service was good while I was there too, we were a party of 6 and the waiter was attentive to our needs. Would try again

Update: Sept. 16: went back here with my work colleagues. Party of 8. I got the fish tacos, and when I did, two of my colleagues also got the same thing. These fish tacos were amazing! So much flavor and they were fresh. My colleagues also really enjoyed theirs too. Great customer service as well.

Visited for a late lunch around 2 PM and ordered from the lunch menu. Here are my thoughts on the dishes I tried:

Steak Tartare ($19 for appetizer size): The dish was subtly flavored, allowing the high quality of the beef juices to shine through. The bread served with it was uniquely textured, reminiscent of French toast, which added a delightful buttery note to the overall taste.

Union Burger ($29): I wouldn’t highly recommend this dish. Overall, it was too greasy, although the patty itself was very juicy. There was a hint of foie gras flavor not mentioned on the menu, which added complexity, but the accompanying salad was overdressed and only added to the greasiness instead of balancing it.

Steak Frites ($36): This was my favorite dish of all. The beef was tender, cooked to a perfect medium as requested, and the fries were crispy and tasty. It was served with their homemade salty egg yolk sauce, which was very appetizing. I was pleasantly surprised that ketchup was provided, a rarity in many restaurants along this street.

The ambiance of the restaurant was very retro, and the service was warm and welcoming. However, it’s worth mentioning that the stairway leading to the restrooms was in poor condition with an unpleasant smell. Seeing that this restaurant is listed in the Michelin Guide, I had high expectations and hope for better execution in the future. Perhaps I’ll return to try their dinner menu.
