I had the pleasure of visiting the Montreal Biosphère and the beautiful park surrounding it, and it exceeded all my expectations. This iconic geodesic dome, originally built for Expo 67, is a true marvel of architectural design.

Inside the Biosphère, you'll find a fascinating exploration of our planet's ecosystems, climate change, and sustainability. The interactive exhibits are not only educational but also engaging for visitors of all ages.

But the magic doesn't stop there. The park itself is a lush, green escape from the urban hustle and bustle. It's a perfect spot for a leisurely stroll or a picnic with stunning views of the Saint Lawrence River and the city skyline. The peaceful ambiance and well-maintained pathways make it a favorite among locals and tourists alike.

Whether you're a nature enthusiast or simply looking for a serene place to unwind, the Montreal Biosphère and its surrounding park are a must-visit. It's a testament to the city's commitment to environmental awareness and a hidden gem waiting to be explored. Don't miss this opportunity to connect with nature and learn about our planet's precious ecosystems.
Very nice park with wonderful views and paved walkways for those that want to walk but not rocky or sandy trails.

Scarborough Bluffs !
These Bluffs have nothing to do with bluffing or anything like that ! In the near heart of Toronto, it's a lakeshore ( lake Ontario) outing place where people can go for boating or walk 🚶‍♂️along a trail through the woods ! Amidst these woods stand high the mounds, perfectly gray colored and rise fairly high , to a height up to 100 meters from lakewater levelp🙂 This is a very popular picnic spot and in these days people visit to see Fall Colours ! Yes we could see little but in coming week may bring more remarkable colors variation.....
As a Geologist I was really happy to see these quaternary deposits !
I love this place, you can take beautiful pictures, it's easy to get there, you can take the bus to go to la ronde, if you want to you can take the ferry to the old port (extra if you don't have an opus card) or just enjoy the view and chill
It's a serene small garden in middle of town

Beautiful view on a sunny day. Like the river bank.
Scarborough Bluffs Park is truly a hidden gem in the heart of Toronto. With its breathtaking views of Lake Ontario, opportunities for lake boating, and perfect picnic spots, this park is a wonderful place to escape the hustle and bustle of the city.

The highlight of the park, undoubtedly, is the stunning view of the Scarborough Bluffs towering over Lake Ontario. The cliffs offer a picturesque backdrop for a leisurely walk or a peaceful picnic. Whether you’re a nature enthusiast or simply seeking tranquility, this spot will leave you in awe.

For those looking to get closer to the lake, the availability of boating is a delightful addition. The calm waters of Lake Ontario provide an ideal setting for a serene boating experience. Whether you bring your own kayak or rent one on-site, it’s a fantastic way to explore the beauty of the lake up close.

When it comes to picnicking, Scarborough Bluffs Park has no shortage of perfect spots. With lush green lawns and well-maintained picnic areas, you can enjoy a meal with family and friends in a serene environment. It’s an excellent place for a day out with loved ones, complete with the soothing sounds of the lake in the background.

In conclusion, Scarborough Bluffs Park is a wonderful place that offers a perfect blend of natural beauty, recreational activities, and relaxation. Whether you’re into picnicking, boating, or simply appreciating the scenic views, this park has something for everyone. It’s a true oasis in the city, and I highly recommend visiting to experience its charm firsthand.

Beautiful river valley views and fantastic bike paths to take you on scenic routes!
Great location for picnics as plenty of picnic tables and green space to stretch out on.
Pathways are used for bikes, people walking , and scooters.
Plenty of parking for people to park in.
You can also find washrooms near the parking lot for easy access.
It's been over 40 years since I've been here. But the view is as beautiful as always

Huge park. lots of activities to do. parking is paid. $12/2hr and $20/day. it would take one full day to visit everything. go on a weekend as most of fun activity happens. check the website before going.
one of the pictures is timing for the bistro
there is big metro station if you don't want to drive. bus stops as well. easy transit access and more frequency.
hiking trails, biosphere museum, la Ronde (fair), casino, garden, bar and patio, kayaking and water activities. lots of things available. please check the website to see if the activities you want to try is available on the particular day of your visit.

Beautiful little park beside the Pacific Ocean! Parking can be expensive however, best to go in the middle of the day or late at night for things to be not too busy.
Pretty calm place for a workout , jog or a picnic with little grills besides each bench for barbecue I think 😂

One of the cleanest beach 🏖️ I’ve visited so far. I love the vibes here, cleanliness everywhere, garbage bins at your convenience to make sure everyone keeps it clean. Huge place for bbq and family picnic (for benches you need to come early) They've maintained the park side for you to set your tents and sit under the trees. Lifeguards are always supervising especially the children in the water. The only drawback of this location I found was the parking. I would highly recommend people to come as early as possible before 11 am or else the parking slots will be full & cops will not allow you to drive down, and hence you’ve to park your car far away and walk almost 28 mins down the beach. Luckily an officer saw us walking and offered us a lift while going (what a gentleman!) but yes we had to walk again 28 mins while leaving. But yeah you can take a TTC bus 201 if you plan to come after 11 am which drops you off right at the beach.
Also, the washrooms for women’s are dreadful and gross. I would request the council to manage the parking system and the washrooms. You can do bit of hiking up the hills and they do have volleyball poles for you to setup your net and enjoy the game.
Went on a Sunday. Must reach there before 1100 am. After this time the police shut down the entrance to the park because it’s over capacity. When we arrived at 1100 no parking at the beach so I had to park in the furthest parking lot away from the beach which was a 10-15 minute walk. So bring a wagon or a cooler with wheels. Beach was extremely busy and water did not look to clean. The sand was really nice though.
Although we weren't allowed to pay to stay, which was both weird and frustrating. The view was wonderful
However.

If people cannot capture a moment and disperse, what's the impetus to come BACK to Collingwood to spend MONEY or TIME in the city?

And regardless of the retort, it left a sour taste in my wife's mouth and wondered if we would ever be back with the children.

Ah well. Least I got exactly 2 seconds to relax after driving for almost 4 or 5 hours.

Collingwood hospitality does not reflect very well overall on my first interaction in a great many years.

It may be a great many years before I visit yet.
There is only one sculpture at this garden
Pretty place to walk around and just chill. Parking is steep and during summer time watch out because they do give out parking tickets. A lot of people were swimming and diving. Nice place to just relax.

It's such a beautiful place. There's so much to see. The flowers are beautiful. There's also this enormous blue chair that's really cool. I simply went there to enjoy the clamness of the afternoon and had no idea a that the Biosphere Museum was near by. I was pleasantly surprised. I absolutely enjoyed going there and intend to go back soon.
I spent 4 months in Montreal and went frequently there, even did a helicopter tour above. That’s really a gem in the city. I love the fact it is such easy to access with the metro. There are a lot of music events during the summer. Truly the best place to admire the city in my opinion.

It’s beautiful on a clear sunny day. Can easily spend an hour. They have scan and pay parking. Food trucks are available. We saw white swans swimming around. View is great on all sides. People are fishing, sailing. You could walk beside the water for a long stretch and noticed a bird house. Overall good park.

Amazing place with beautiful spots to look for. Clean and relaxing place with your friends or loved ones. Should make the most of it while the summers last. Plan well in advance and arrive early for your desired spot with all the accessories needed for a beach or camping or a picnic.

A nice and beautiful place to sit, chill and relax with friends and have some nice picnic by the beach. We tried the trails also there and it was a nice different experience doing that. The view from the top is simply amazing with yachts docked and shores. Would recommend to plan a day where you can go for a walk along the trail and then enjoy picnic by the beach

I had some trouble figuring out how to get here with all the construction. The first parking lot I tried did not have a working parking payment station. It was interesting once we got to the biosphere. A short walk on the promenade got us a great view of old Montreal and St. Lawrence River. More research will be required to make better use of the park next time!!
This was near the northern tip of Collingwood and we decided to drop by to check it out. We stayed there for just a minute since there wasn't much to see and they even had paid app parking... I would not recommend paying since we left shortly after and barely left the car's side.

The view wasn't too bad but we had to drive by fairly deep puddles just to get there (it rained the day before). I would recommend going here on a dry day maybe but there are other places to get a decent view.

Beautiful spot, went and watched soccer here and had a blast... great facilities to
Interesting Park (at the far end of Collingwood).
Decided to take a small detour as we were heading back to Orillia from Bruce Peninsula during our summer road trip back in Aug 2022. View of Georgian Bay was super. Facilities were minimal but neat and tidy. We witnessed what appeared to be a sort of emergency fire drill with a bunch of helicopters, police cruses, ambulances, and fire trucks. The only bad thing about this place is that eyesore gray building looking more like an abandoned silo or something. Maybe it should be demolished (just my own opinion).
PS: And yes I agree with several folks who complained about parking using your cell phone to pay. I am not a phone person and I DO NOT CARE about having data-plans. I WANTED TO PAY for parking but there was no other option so we took a risk and didn't pay. It seems like that EVERYWHERE. And like some folks in these reviews, Collingwood and all other small towns and cities: they are killing their own tourism industry. They should also accommodate for people with no cell phone. Even in places like Ottawa, Toronto, or east of Orillia one can find parking machines that at least allows one to use other methods of payments. My 2 cents!
The old site of the Royal Alberta Museum is known as a government House Park.
A cute lil place inbetween city! Loved the shaded soft path for walking! Lots of native plants and wildflowers coming up in spring. I like how it is being restored to increase biodiversity. Will go often for my evening walks after shopping 🌳

Perfect summer destination!!
Clean and well maintained!! Port is open for everyone!!
They have whole streets for foodies nearby !! U can enjoy the view of blue mountains by sitting over there!!
Great 360 view. Nice place to see sunset
A very big and beautiful park with great views of the city and harbour. They've been making many renovations to update the park's infrastructure, buildings, and landscape features.

I definitely recommend coming here during the weekdays when it's quiet to explore the many trails and gardens.

I wish I could visit it every day! I like the sunset here. This place never bores you! There are different variations in the sky during sunset and the change of the colors is unbelievable! You could just sit in the garden and hangout all day! You'll thank me after you visit this place!
Gorgeous view of the coast from residential neighborhood. The three view points visited and in walking distances from each other are: an closed astronomy building (weather station), pointy plaque commemorating shipping trade route, and a viewing plate form.
The Park seems to be a fav amongst locals. There are stones, rocks, and mud holes for some parts of the paths so wear good footwear.
Great park for everyone to enjoy! Easy walking trails, dog leash friendly, birdhouses, bat-houses, friendly people out and about. Cross the bridge and there's Meadow Park? I think that's the name. Lovely playground for the older children. The climbing equipment is rated 2.5. Yrs and up.
It's a nice uphill walk from home. The views across to Port Angeles can be really nice.

I liked my time at the sculpture garden. They currently are featuring a Black Artist and the work is absolutely stunning. If you’re looking for a private place in the city come here. You may have to share with others but the serenity is well work it. I do enjoy this area of kings street, but I would not come in the night time. There is a bigger park right across the street.
I find this park a total surprise (in a good way) with shaded woodland trails in an urban setting. I’ve never found it busy. The entrance behind the arena is a bit tricky to find, I’ve posted a picture. It is just a bit beyond the children day care facility. I didn’t notice if there was parking.
You can see the good broad view at this park but you may be disappointed if you think the highest point of the park is high in altitude.
Very calm and wonderful garden

This is a little piece of grass on the corner at the bottom of Oxford at marine drive. It is not really a park.
This is a lovely park with beautiful trails where I could walk my dog off leash. Well marked trails give a nice variety of routes and destinations such as Tillicum Mall.

I have recently visited this place and it became on of my favourite place in Montreal. If you love biking then get on your bike or rent a bixi. (there are several bixi spots throughout the lachine canal road , so you can change it in every 30 mins). The bike path is beautiful and it’s around 15 km from old port. If you are here then don’t forget to visit “René Lévesque Park” sunset point is beautiful

One of my most favorite spots in Montréal. Must visit, especially around sunset, take a walk on the Lachine Canal and try the Italian gelato place Uno Gelato.
I always enjoy Edmonton's river valley so this spot near Government House is near ideal. There are great views, benches overlooking the river and some picnic tables and cooking spots. The paved pathway is kept in good condition and some upgrades are currently in progress. The only downside for me is that it is popular so it can get very busy, especially on weekends with good weather.
Would be more pleasant if cyclists were not yelling at you to get out the way while you take a Sunday Stroll. The paths are supposed to be shared. Cyclists do not have god-given priority. To be avoided on public holidays for the picnic congestion- loud music and BBQ's.
The Bixi' can be uncomfortable riding if u dont ajust your seating. Had muscular pain for days after renting one.

If you are a runner and are visiting Edmonton and need a place to run, this is the place to be.
I did a 10km and it was so beautiful! I parked at Government park and ran towards the two bridges, I did and in and out. A lot of people running and walking.

I felt pretty safe, I highly recommend.

Perhaps it's not the fault of the park grounds, but too often it is the case that younger adolescents who curse profusely are left at the playground with no oversight whatsoever. This simply ruins any chance of younger kids - along with their parent(s) - enjoying to park facilities.

A beautiful place to go for a walk, either along the shoreline trail, or wander around the park. It reminded me a bit of Vancouver's seawall trail. That day they were setting up for a music concert for the evening. I would like to go back again to walk the trail. 👍
A delightful oasis in the heart of Old Toronto. Sculptures change regularly.
First time visit and this a great park. Fist impressions are lasting impressions and this park is clean and beautiful. It is situated right beside the North Saskatchewan River. There is a great walking/biking trail through the park that is part of the Edmonton River Valley Trail System so there is access to many other great trails. The park has picnic tables and fire pits to enjoy. There are washrooms facilities and limited parking. The views of the river are wonderful. I will definitely be coming back again. This is also the starting point for the new Edmonton Commonwealth Walkway , check it out it’s pretty cool.
Problem with this place is that it has become a hangout place for the homeless people who litter, booze and sleep there

Great chip trail on the perimeter, coffee shop in the middle, EV chargers in two of the parking lots. Most dogs stay on leash which is good for us, and cycling is limited so the trail just has walkers and runners. Golf in the middle has never interested me, but it seems to be popular!

Nice, quiet and very sandy Beach. One of the best in town
Very small park with stellar panoramic view as well as 2 benches to sit and enjoy.
Lovely little park that us great for walks with your dog or friends. Trails are well maintained and clearly marked. Would love it if they could expand it a bit more and replant native trees/plants in the spots were trails were made by people. Although it borders the construction of the McKenzie overpass you can barely hear it until you get much closer.

This is a great little park in a nice neighbourhood. Lots to do for all skill levels, lots of shady areas, port-a-potty, soccer field with a small set of bleachers. I wish we were a bit closer, but it's definitely worth the walk for us!
One of the best views in Victoria, amazing for sunset. Much quieter than other viewpoints in the area.
