Such a gorgeous little restaurant tucked away on Bank street. Portions and pricing are reasonable. The owner is a very kind and warm person, who you can tell works hard as he was working front of house, serving, and cooking in the kitchen as well. Would recommend to those looking for a comfort meal. Nothing flashy, just good food and good atmosphere :)
I had dinner here and was so disappointed. The portions were so small for the prices and the food was not good. $40 for kebabs which was about 6 pieces of meat that were not well seasoned, didn’t smell like they had seen a grill and tasted a bit off. 2 tiny pita breads that were the size of my palm. Salty lamb pide, salty halloumi and mid hummus. Only thing that was sorta worth it was the $12 truffle fries and maybe the lemonade. Service was so slow.

Really enjoyed the Shawarma's here. Note, the Sharma Platter is a build your own Shawarma. The food was great and little confusion did not detract from the experience.

Food wss very good but supper pricey. Service was not as hot but you are there for the party anyway. Atmosphere and music were is general top notch but vocal sound from the microphones could use some tweaking as it was very hard on the ears. My eardrums are still buzzing even a day after.
Best garlic potatoes I've had in Ottawa yet!
Enjoyed the best fatoush salad I've had in a long time. The medium was huge, and all the components were fresh and crispy. Topped with heaps of warm chicken, it's an unbeatable dinner.
The staff were polite and efficient.
I also appreciated that they offer such a wide selection of drinks. It's rare to find something both sugar-free and non-caffeinated (besides water).

Fairouz Cafe in downtown Ottawa is a true gem with its stunning décor that transports you to another world. The standout dish for me was the confict duck pide – a delectable balance of sweetness and savory flavors. The warm dates inside the pide were an absolute delight. Fairouz impressively modernizes traditional Arabian dishes, making it a must-visit for those seeking a unique culinary experience in the heart of the city.
One of the best dining experiences in Montreal. Flavourful dishes and tenderly cooked lamb. The sauce of the couscous is sooo delicious, I wish I knew their recipe. The couscous paella is unique and tasty. In my opinion, it is better than the traditional rice paella. Service was friendly and as if they are hosting you at their home. Everything there is authentic and made to perfection. Music background selection is amazing.
Went there upon recommendation of a friend and it was really worth it. They use high quality ingredients and vegetables, they put effort in preparing real food homemade style. The green mint tea at the end with their desserts sampler plate was amazing. Will be back for sure and recommend them

the most wonderful little restaurant! such a hidden gem, too— tucked away in old port. amazing shawarma and kafta, cut into it like butter !!! our server amina was so helpful too, giving us tips about getting around the city. was the best end to a long day, 10/10 would recommend !!!

There's a lot of hype around this restaurant and most of it is justified. They have delicious food and you need to be ready to wait due to the large lineups on weekends and public holidays.

Great place to enjoy Turkish food really close to persian food. Everything was Really delicious. Beautiful dishes. I will definitely go there again. Turkish tea was so great. They serve -“a 2 meter dish with variety of kebabs. We were 4 and we really enjoyed it.

Visited on a weekend evening and the wait room was completely full upon arrival. The wait for a party of four was one hour, but the food and service made it worth it. I would recommend making a reservation if you are able to.
We ordered the mixed meat sharing platter and a tea pot and everything exceeded our expectations. The food tasted just as good as it looks. It is truly a one-of-a-kind dining experience in Ottawa.

Nice place to eat but you hv to take a set of stairs to reach the sitting area.Clean seating area with a nice view.The host was courteous and accommodating as they had this thing you order per person not less . He ordered hummus as our 4th persons meal. The food was good ,generous portions and meat was done well .
coming back to Toronto we stopped at this place We got the ten skewer family meal. The food and presentation was amazing . the sides were also good. nothing to say will definitely come back if in Ottawa.
We are vegans and found there were a decent amount of options for us. We left satisfied food-wise though a couple extra options wouldn’t hurt. And the pictures all around are pretty. But my oh my, is the place filthy. That was really disappointing. It doesn’t do much to inspire confidence in the hygiene of the kitchen and takes away from the beauty of the place despite the pretty pictures everywhere. Nice service, good food, but quite dirty, in my humble opinion.
Nice and small MTL style restaurant, recommended for regular days and weekends but not for special occasions (a day to remember), for your interaction with the staff will ruin your mood and day.

Unfortunately, i can't call this place a Middle Eastern restaurant because it does not represent the culture.
It has been already a few times that I order plate for takeout and there is almost no meat at all (chicken or beef)! The meat barely covers 1/4 of the top of the plate. I strongly believe this is NOT a common practice because the same plate at the salaberry store has a decent protein portion.. I've been favoring that store for this reason, even though it is a bit further away.
Very chill spot with amazing food and amazing portion sizes. Highly highly recommend you get a regular mixed plate, with spicy garlic sauce and hummus. This fed two people who hadn’t eaten all day for only $20 dollars, just mind blowing. All their meat is juicy, and their rice is cooked to perfection
Very nice atmosphere, the food has a good quality (the lamb kebabs were a bit chewy, the portions are generous but a bit pricey! Love their Kenafa and the authentic pots and tea!
I would give this place 5 stars. One of the newest locations of Restaurant Boustan. Nice clean environment with enough sitting area. I like the interior decor. Good quality was awesome as usual. Prices are slightly on the higher side. Parking should not be any issue. Would definitely recommend this place.
We bought beef/chicken mix shawarma, it was yummy, delicious and healthy. The store was clean, very welcome staff, friendly. Enough parking space outside. I definitely recommend this place for dine in and take out.
We had hummus, leaf filling ( dolma) and lahmacun.
I liked the flavor of the foods but hummus had so much sourness which made my tongue hurt. If it had less pomegranate sos ( I guess) it would be better. But other than that place is nice.

The shawarma and the mixed grille plate were both filling and delicious. This was a great early afternoon meal to get us by until dinner later that night. We got in right away and we're served quickly. The dining area is upstairs and a nice, clean place to eat. The staff were all friendly and took good care of us. Thanks!
Went there for dinner a few weeks ago and it was a miss for us unfortunately. We did like the terrace, but this restaurant is extremely overpriced for what it is. I paid 25$ for a garden + chicken salad which was barely an appetizer. The food tasted good, but for the price we paid for it, it was nothing extraordinary. The service is very slow and not very welcoming - our waitress (who I think may be the owner) wore earphones the whole time which is super unprofessional. Cherry on top, there was a hair in my salad so they had to redo it. But because it's so slow, by the time they brought a new salad, everyone else had finished their food. Also, there was a lot of opened sugar packets and the teaspoon was dirty for tea.
Overall, the decor and ambience is really nice especially to enjoy with a group of friends but the food was only pretty good.

Went for dinner… the atmosphere is ok with live music but very loud and smoky. Food is so-so, including the service. For drinks, not much of a selection… and pricey as well. The live music, which included one belly dancer was just so-so.

I have been in many places west (BC) and east (Newfoundland) and this without a doubt is the best chicken shawarma I have ever had.
The side of potatoes with the garlic sauce was nothing short of amazing - flavorful, crispy outside - tender inside.

Was served old, dried out hard rice that lost all moisture and resulted in being hard to eat. Hurt my teeth eating some as I didn't expect to bite down on that. Rice was very salty as well. Chicken was moist and good but beef was super dry and tough. Salad was fresh.
Overall, this is my second time trying them and second time being disappointed. Quality and care is lacking.

We had a great experience at menthe & couscous. We reserved for a belly dance show included with the pre fixe menu. The show was entertaining and the dancer had a lot of energy and it probably lasted for 4 or 5 songs. Food was really good and I really enjoyed the tea, salad and tajine. The place was smaller and less crowded than we expected and the clientele tends to be more on the matured side.
Tried this place yesterday and the food was really good service was slow only 1 girl by herself working maybe have 2 people.
Great dj and music the entire night. Food was yummy and deserves an easy five star. I didn’t enjoy the Shisha though not the best I have had. I wouldn’t recommend
Service was super fast, and the taste of the kababs was really good! The yogurt, hummus, and salad were good too. The staff was super friendly and not irritated by the hundreds of calls and requests that we made. Nice beautiful seating arrangement outside, and we found the place value for your money
Excellent food! Everything tastes great even the salad! Kebabs are superb! We got the least spicy one and kids gobbled them up! Highly recommend, wonderful dinning experience!
Pita Bell Kabab has been on my food bucket list for a while now. A short walk from work, I finally got around to trying it, and they did not disappoint! So delicious! Will absolutely be eating there again. Great atmosphere, friendly service, and fresh food! 😋 You should try it!
Very good food! The Kafta is delicious & juicy and so is the Falafel and everything else! The ambiance is very nice, the decorations are amazing, you definitely won’t find anything like this in Ottawa! The service is also very good.

The food was delicious, but it took veryyyyyyyyy long to serve. Meat was tender and hot but the rice and naan were cold. Also, just one suggestion that they should change their 2 options to choose with the meal. With the meat, they either serve you rice and salad or garlic, hummus, turnips etc. My point is with middle eastern food rice, potato, salad, turnips, hummus everything is important. So, instead of giving choice, they should include everything with little quantity. Over all good experience.
Nice Tajine dishes. We had the lamb Tajine. It came as stewed lamb in a sauce served over rice. It was tasty but I would have appreciated a load of chunky vegetables stewed in the tajine served with the meat.

Surprised by the amount of pitas, rice and fries with the combo order (for 2-3) if you are very hungry, this is enough to feed a family of 3. Beef kababs is a bit dry but otherwise very flavorful. Onions were cut too large to enjoy without cutting them further. Service is very friendly and price is reasonable. Come before 9pm because otherwise you can only order to go orders.
Excellent restaurant and excellent service! We had heard wonderful things about this restaurant and decided to try it for ourselves and we really enjoyed everything we sampled. The mixed grill was tasteful as were all the appetizers we ordered. The staff was friendly and kind as well. We will be coming back

The food here is consistently well made and full of flavor with a quaint, family-oriented atmosphere. The produce and proteins are created with fresh quality ingredients, where attentive and friendly staff tailor your order to your liking.
Went to dine in, the portions were veeeery generous to say the least. We couldn’t even finish the food and had to take it home for later. It was very delicious and great quality. The people there are very kind and welcoming. Food and service 10/10, I would definitely recommend.

I ordered the mixed platter and the falafel for dinner and surprisingly it came out a lot of food with plenty of meat. The food was also delicious. There was NO fat in the meat which was good.
Ordered via DoorDash. We got 2 platters. The portions were pretty good, the sauces were really tasty (garlic and spicy garlic) except hummus which tasted off. The meat was tender, delivery was good. Potatoes were fantastic.
Cute restaurant with beautiful paintings. The paintings are all hand drawn by the owner and is absolutely lovely. Each is very unique and very detailed. People come from afar just to admire these beautiful paintings and his delicious food.

Fantastic food. The owner, Omar is an extremely talented cook and artist. He suggested the lamb kafta plate, which was delicious with ample portions. Also tried the grape leaves for the first time, was blown away!

I loved shawarma king. So far I have always ordered a mixed beef and chicken shawarma plate. The dish is delisious having potatoes that are roasted and seasoned well, hummus, salad having actually turnips cough cough Shawarma palace, and the meat was really good. The naans were heated well as well. I gotta say I find the experience here better then shawarma palace. The staff are so cool like they actually talk and engage with u as they are students and it's so fun to talk with them. It's also a family owned business so it's really fun to support a local business. So I find the customer service alot better then shawarma palace. I also feel like the portions they give u are now bigger then u find at shawarma palace. I also loved how the server accommodated my request for extra hot sauce and more saucy unlike the unwelcome feeling I got from shwarma palace. Also I ordered on door dash once and I was shocked after asking them to make it extra saucy they gave me like 3 sauce containers. Sooooo gooood. Like once had garlic, spicy and the other one might have been avoili. I would definitely choose this as my go to shawarma rice place in Ottawa. I was able to eat and get filled up by theix plate I bought for 3 days straight (even tho I also would buy naan to consume and eat as well from Loblaws). Overall I def recommend it.
One of the authentic moroccan restaurants. We really enjoyed the food so much. I ordered the Morrocan Tajine of lamb with vegetables and dried apricot and prunes. Its taste was mouthwatering. It reminded me with my stay in Morroco. The only thing that I missed, and it could add a lot, is to make the authentic Morrocan bread "Khobz" which will add a lot to the authenticity and the taste.

The platter had 3 types of meat, rice, pita, and was served with sauce and salad as apps. The 3 meats were well seasoned but one of them-the filet mignon-was way over cooked. The service was pretty good. Our server was informative but not overly social and the food came quickly.

The couscous restaurant offers authentic traditional dishes that cater to Vegan eaters. The food is flavorful, and the ambiance creates a pleasant dining experience. However, it is important to note that the kitchen and service can be quite slow, which may impact overall satisfaction.
If you go on terrasse it is nice, great food, quick service on Sunday not sure about other days and reasonable pricing for quality food.

Really nice restaurant. The food is delicious no matter what you order. I wish the menu had the description of the dishes, I found it hard to order. But otherwise amazing place to discover new foods and perfect for both catching up with friends and dates. The Fattouche was delicious and make sure to order hummus!
When I went there I met the nicest person in the world his name was alla Abu abdu and he is quick and professional at everything. I has the best poutine here too.
If you're visiting the Ottawa area then this place is a must try! Delicious food, great ambiance, and clean restaurant. Prices are vary reasonable compared to other kabob houses in the GTA. My family ordered their family platter special and it was enough to feed a family of six. The tannour bread, chefs kiss. The cheese pide was also very fresh and warm. This is a breakfast item but they were so kind to include it for us in the evening. Staff are so friendly and provide very fast service. The Syrian lady was very sweet! Overall, a solid 10/10 for their authentic Arabian food.

Food was delicious and everyone behind the counter was nice. The chicken was particularly good, not dry like it happens too often in this type of restaurant. We'll go back for sure.

Great food, decent service (restaurant was empty but couldn’t move tables because of reservations - other tables stayed empty for more than an hour). We got 3 dips (baba ghanouj was a standout, the Muhammara was a bit dry) as well as the cherry lamb kofta and a fatteh. Would come again.
Decided to come enjoy their weekend brunch which is fairly a new addition to their menu. Firstly, the ambiance early morning was very calming. Though located in byward market, this restaurant is a steps away from the busy parts.
The restaurant itself has an outdoor patio & 2 different dinning areas. One seems to be more vibrant in colour the other room is dark interior with mood lighting.
The brunch menu was a fusion of Turkish and parts of Middle East.

Muhamara was our favourite, the perfect blend of cashew and red peppers.
Stuffed Grape leaves were alright.
Lubneh with Dukkah beats was tasty. The beets added a rich flavour to the yogurt dish.
Beef lahmoujoun, the mint/dill sauce it was paired with was absolutely delicious.
Turkish Egg, poached eggs with labneh. It was good but eventually the flavour of yogurt was too empowering & it needed a something to balance. I ended up mixing muhamara with it.
Shakshuka, this was alright.
Black seed pancakes, this was a savoury item served with tabouli. This was probably the least favourite on the table. The flavour was bland.
Overall, the experience was good. The service was great! Our food arrived in a timely manner. The server did a great job at examining the menu.

i’m being so serious when i say this is by far the absolute BEST shawarma i have ever had. my friend and i were blown away by the service by Ali Q!!! he gave us monstrous portions and was incredibly kind and outgoing while taking our orders. my plate genuinely lasted me three whole meals and was absolutely DIVINE. thank you Ali and the rest of shawarma prince for the best experience ever 🙏🏼 love you guys
Long line, slow service. Took me over 32 min to get my order and another 10 min to pay. I order the chicken plate and it was around 17 buck. Good parking, the restaurant opens late. Some of the sofa chairs are broken or torn.
Absolutely amazing ! The staff and our waitress was the sweetest angel on earth: my food arrived cold twice and I felt terrible about making trouble for them but she reassured me countless times and fixed the situation twice with the kindest smile and offered me desert at the end for the inconvenience! And the food was of course incredible : super flavorful, fair prices and awesome service !
usually great shawarma sandwich today at 2:11 the man that made this sandwich rushed and this sandwich was made poorly that i had to get a plate and eat it from there, thanks guys!
The food is great and good amount, the music is cool, different for a person that doesn't have a middle East background.
But service is not that great. There is a lot going on so they were a little dispersed. And please don't ask for water, they charge $2.50 for a plastic bottle water, Rather ask for a soda, if you don't drink alcohol.

The ambience/interior design was really beautiful. The service was very poor. There was only one person who was cooking and serving the customers, which was very inefficient. Therefore, we had to wait for some time until our order was taken and our food was served. We were super hyped about the food but the quality was so average and the shawarma beef plate was made with ground beef, which was unexpected. The portion sizes were small too. The falafel was good and the foods had nice presentations. Overall, I don’t recommend this place and won’t be going back.
I’m not an expert on Middle East food, but these plates tasted good to me. The portion is big and good to share with friends. If you want to try more dishes, it’s better to come with more people :)

My sister celebrated her birthday here last night. The food was okay, nothing special. The service was pretty good minus the fact that we had to continuously look for and call on our server for whatever, rather than being checked on during our visit. The vibe is awesome; especially the layout, lighting and music (especially dj). Despite all of this, I still gave this place 1 because I ABSOLUTELY lost my hearing as a result of being there last night. I left having a massive headache and RINGING in my ears. I took an advil before going to sleep, and still woke up this morning to a huge headache, RINGING in my ears, and extremely hurt ears (like the inner ear is in pain).

The atmosphere in this restaurant is great! Has a cozy feel and lovely decor. The staff is very kind and knowledgeable.
I was a little disappointed with the shish taouk - it tasted and looked like a rotisserie chicken rather than the traditional spices of shish taouk but still tasted amazing. It is served on a bed of tabbouleh which was delicious too I wish they put more of it!

Had dinner here recently with a friend who is a huge foodie, we were both generally impressed with the quality of the food and the ambiance but menu lacked options. Starters were a little under whelming, Main and dessert were the two best parts. See photos for more details, overall I would return here mostly because the service was excellent and the ambiance was awesome
Very happy with the food. The store was nicely decorated. There were mirrors or glass that were painted with door scenes....very beautiful and for sale. The waiter was great.,,no issues. I enjoyed my beef kebab...the hummus and baba g was excellent. Will definitely return.
I lived around the corner from here and used to go all the time! Lovely service with a smile and fantastic shawarma.
Moved away and came back one year later and made it a priority to get their shawarma. They never disappoint!

I visited the Montreal Kebab and had a fantastic experience! Really delicious Falafel and Kebab. Our waitress was amazing as well, great service and reasonable prices! The restaurant was clean and inviting. The service was friendly and attentive. The menu had a good selection of food to choose from. The Kebab I ordered was cooked perfectly. It was delicious and the prices were very reasonable. I highly recommend the Montreal Kebab Restaurant to anyone looking for a great dinner!
I'll start by saying that the food here was amazing and delicious and if I were to solely rate the food it would be 5 stars. The service however really needs some improvement. After being seated and having our orders taken, we received the wrong appetizers by the same server who took our order. Then instead of receiving our correct appetizers we got our Main Course. I corrected that with the server and they took our food back and brought out the appetizers we ordered except they were clearly made in a rush as one of them was missing the lamb that was supposed to come with it. Finally after all that we thought we would have some dessert and asked for a dessert menu only for them to have completely forgotten about it and after waiting 15 min we just asked for the bill and left. Not once did anyone come to check if the food was good or if we need anything.
Let me reiterate this though. The food was excellent and if you want to try Moroccan food, I highly recommend it. But be prepared for the possibility that the service may not be up to par.

In town and went to Palace to eat some falafels and surprise they did not have Falafel! Family walked to the King and went with low expectations. And what a relief that had Vegan options on the board.
We were 7 of us and the person on the counter suggested we take the Vegan Family Feast that feeds 5. The good thing is that all of it was vegan even the garlic sauce which is rare.
The salad, the grilled veggies, the rice, the potatoes (fresh batch made just for us), plenty of pitas, the garlic sauce and hummus. We bought for 5, we were 7 but could have easily fed 10-12 easily.
The more amazing thing is the attitude and service of the people. Absolutely amazing. Pleased with the food, service and more importantly vegan food availability.

Our first visit. Did a chicken shawarma platter takeout for 4 people. Also ordered small veg portion aswell.I found chicken little dry. Rice was different in taste if I compare it with Shawarma Palace on Carling Ave. They did not give much potatoes.

We ordered 'Trio Mix' wraps, they were exactly what you'd expect: delicious! It's a relatively clean and Air conditioned place with lots of seating. I would recommend this for a quick and healthy lunch or dinner 👍
Had my lunch for the first time here and it was delicious. Ordered Falafel platter which was a good portion that two can easily share. Chicken platter too was delicious. I highly recommend this place if you want a good portion of tasty meal for reasonable price.
