Just wanted to share my thoughts on the customer/warranty service end of this business. I've had a couple of issues with products that have been quickly and politely taken care of by Bicicletta staffers over the years. No hassles, no grief, just a genuine desire to see to it that their customer (me) was well taken care of and satisfied with the product. Thank you!

Generally, these guys are great.
However they will not install anything on an electric bike, even with manufacturer’s instructions, even if it’s only a wheel, due to “liability and company policy.”
I am baffled, and sad. I guess I find another bike shop.

Called in to ask about availability on a pair of shoes I was looking to purchase in-store. Incredibly friendly and helpful over the phone. Pro advice and got some great recommendations. Chose to switch some direct orders from Rapha in order to buy from here instead and support local. Awesome experience.

La Bicicletta was the only shop in Toronto where I could demo the SMART bikes (they had Wahoo and Tacx) and it was important for me to try the bikes before I made my big purchase. I ended up choosing the Tacx Neo Smart Bike, and although it took me a bit of time to get used to it, I am really pleased that I made the investment. Henry was very helpful and pointed out some reliable on-line reviews of the bikes that helped me make my purchase decision, and the price was competitive. I highly recommend La Bicicletta if you're looking to purchase a SMART bike.

Leonard diagnosed my bike, replaced my broken derailleur; and gave realistic options in the future to consider about upgrading other components on the bike.

This summer I had the great fortune of having Mike the Bike’s shop recommended to me by a good friend so I went to check it out. I had 2 old beater bikes that I hadn’t been using nor taking care of so I wanted a professional opinion on what they were worth. As it turned out not much! I was very happy when Mike offered me a $60- credit towards parts and that purposing was his specialty! Mike has a great little shop near Kensington Mkt off a lane way on the south west corner of Dundas & Spadina. Super friendly and helpful, very knowledgeable and is able to fix things on the spot!

Just picked up an enduro bike at their Black Friday sale and had an amazing experience. Staff was super knowledgeable and quick looking for sizes in the back if they didn’t have something on the floor. The black Friday sale was also an amazing deal on tons of product.

Stopped in to Wheel Excitement today for some CO2 cartridges. The owner came out after the purchase to chat and take a look at our bikes. I told him that I felt the the handlebars were not quite in the right place. He gave some great advice and then went back in to show us the part that could be used to solve the problem. We purchased it on the spot and as he wasn’t very busy at the moment he installed the new part quickly and efficiently.
He was friendly and easy going as well as really knowing his stuff when it comes to anything bicycle.
My ride home was much more comfortable thanks to him.
He now has us as customers for life.
I can’t recommend this place more whole-heartedly!

Super friendly, quick and reasonably priced. You can tell Mike cares for his work as I took my bike for a Flat repair on the rear and when handing back the bike, both the tyre pressure were checked. This is my go to place now.

It's taken me ages to write a quick review, but I was treated very well and the shop owner who did my bike repair was aces this summer. I couldn't figure out what was wrong with my front wheel/fender and it looked like it would have to be taken apart. The owner diagnosed in less than two minutes, was able to fix on the spot and away I rode! The shop is tucked away and I hadn't realized it was there on Lakeshore right against the Martin Goodman Trail, but apparently he's been there for many years, and he is obviously very experienced.

Davide went above and beyond to make sure I got the exact Bianchi I was looking for. Having come into the store by chance on the last day of a sale I saw online, they were unfortunately sold out of the bike I was looking for. Now most bicycle stores I’ve been too in the past would have told me flatly it’s sold out and then quickly try to upsell me a model I don’t really need. Instead Davide took my measurements, showed me a few Devinci’s which I didn’t really like and then went as far as reaching out to Bianchi directly, free of charge, to see if they had any remaining stock he could order in. Picking up my new Bianchi next week and I couldn’t be happier!

They are the best! A month ago my whole crank set fell off while commuting to work. I cannot have my bike not working because it is how I move everywhere and the guys at Cyclepath fixed in like two hours without appointment.Just recently I chipped a gear off of my freewheel, made an appointment first thing in the morning, and they had it ready within an hour. Always reasonable prices and great service.

Got a hybrid bicycle for 3 days. I biked to Niagara Falls from downtown Toronto with it. ~150km with bumpy roads gravel and some sand. Their bicycles are EXTREMELY reliable!!!

We have recently rented out Pedego e-bikes for a team-building cycling tour. The people at Pedego were very helpful and accommodating, especially given we are such a big group with many, small corporate quirks and demands. I really appreciate working with them and they really helped making this event a great success.

I found an old bike that I thought would suit my Granddaughter but needed work so I fixed it up and went to Cyclepath looking for training wheels. The ones from Can Tire didn’t fit. Ron searched through his basement hoping to find a pair on an old bike. When that didn’t work he took a new set and shaved it down and adjusted it to fit. A small job but his interest and willingness to find a solution really impressed me. When my granddaughter is older and needs a new bike, we’ll be returning to Cyclepath!

Great experience start to finish. Recently purchased a Cannondale Topstone, and received a personal email from Josh within minutes of placing the order. He updated me at every step of the delivery and assembly process, and got me fitted properly when I went to pick it up. Really appreciate the knowledgeable and friendly team at Bicicletta. Making such a purchase can be a big decision for a lot of people (myself included), and the customer service and support I received made the whole experience so rewarding. The bike is awesome too, of course.

We rented two bikes from Mike. Rode from Toronto to Niagara Falls and back. Both bikes were tuned up and worked flawlessly. Brakes and gears worked great. Mike knows customer service. He treated us like royalty. I highly recommend this place for bicycle rentals in Toronto.

Guy that works here is bitter. I needed a drop of oil for a baby stroller. He provides service for bikes on one side of the business. so I asked for service which I would pay for and he had an open bottle in front of my eyes. First he says 25 dollars for me to take the whole wheel off and then he wanted to sell me the whole bottle of oil for 15 bucks plus tax. This guy lies and is a real piece of work. Just needed a drop and was willing to pay and he coulda made money. Wouldn’t recommend this place

Great bike shop!!! I was out for a ride in Toronto and ended up destroying my crank set. They took car of me and helped me out when the other shops around could not! Very friendly staff!! To the kid who gave me those pedals and crank and the man in the back. Thank you both VERY much.

He was very arrogant. People going to him for help should know HE LACKS PATIENCE.
Mike`s dismissive attitude was unexpected and frankly unwarranted. I expected better communication and a willingness to listen.

Went in to get the brake cable replaced on my sweet old vintage bike, and they very kindly replaced the fender mount for my front light free of charge when all I asked for was a piece of tape to keep it on temporarily. All fixed and ready to roll when I picked it up the same afternoon! Fast, friendly service. Thanks again, guys!

I have been trying since June to coordinate a mobility scooter repair with this business for my extremely disabled partner. That was a colossal mistake, as it has taken months of falsehoods, vagaries, broken promises, and a 'long-suffering small businessperson' act.
Most of then information on the website is false. The store is not open 9 AM to 9 PM - an issue when I was trying to deal with them while still working. As well, the site says they offer a pickup service for vehicles which require repairs. This is a lie. I tried for weeks to get the mobility scooter in need of repair picked up, and the reasoning went from 'it's not always available' to 'it's only available on rainy days because the person who does it works another job'. He then suggested I pay for someone on Facebook to bring it in - again, not a good solution for someone with disabilities.
When it finally got to the shop, there were weeks and weeks of excuses, false promises, convenient 'forgetfulness' (I left my name and number with him at least five times), and finally trying to sell us a different scooter from the one promised because that's what he had and the promised one wasn't available anymore. He then tried to guilt me for the scooter in need of repair taking up space in his shop.
This has been completely unacceptable. Do not put yourself through this sort of treatment.

I have long covid and severe spinal pain as a complication of my MCAS. I sourced an older model scooter from a pal who thought it just needed new batteries, but it still wasn’t quite running
. Called in advance. He claimed it was going to be a few days for his pick up guy to come. Call for an update he admitted the pickup service doesn’t really operate so since it’s a mobility device he suggested paying someone else to deliver it so I would get it fixed soon. Which we did.

Rep: "What can I do for you?" he mumbles with his back to me as he continues work on the bike he's repairing. Me: "Hi, I called last week for a few repairs and you told me to bring it in today". I give the short list of repairs I think it needs and he gives me options, still with his back to me and not bothering to get up and inspect the bike he told me to bring in.
Then he tells me I can't leave my bike today because he doesn't have the space and won't get to it for about a week. I really don't see why he told me to come in when we could have discussed the repairs on the phone when I called last week and set an appointment then? Based on my experience today, it's clear to me this business is only busy due to a lack of competition in the area. Very poor attitude. I turned around and left. No way am I spending my money here.

I could write pages about my positive experience. Let me just say that it is without the doubt the best repair experience I have had for any item ever . Service , price and quality of work are almost unbelievable. I was expecting to pay 3 times what I was charged and could not believe the phone call that my bike was ready for pickup first thing the very next morning .

I blew a tire on my bike on the Island yesterday. I brought my bike into Wheel Excitement and they were able to help me right away. Because of my fenders they had to try three different tires. They got me fixed up and on my way in no time. Great shop with lots of parts and knowledgeable employees.

I can't speak highly enough of these guys, they're very honest and ready to help even on minor adjustments I need on my bike. I'll definitely be coming here for all tune ups and repairs for sure. And also, they have great quality bikes for rental too.

I do not recommend at all. He overcharged me for a simple bike tube change ($75!!!!!!) and supposedly screwed the back support to the back tire but it came off as soon as I left. He screwed me over instead

I was looking for a decent racing bike in Toronto, which is not easy… after visiting a lot of renting shops I was referred to wheel excitement. The shop had 2 racing bikes luckily one in my size. The owner was really helpful in setting up the bike and helping me with a tool kit. I got a Felt bike which was really pleasant for a longer ride (around 100 miles). You should remember to bring your own pedels and shoes if you want clip ins. Helmets are available. I recommend the shop, although not many racing bikes available, the place offers good hybrid bikes as well, enabling you to get around easily in and around Toronto, helpful and very friendly!

I bought my bike on the 13th of June. It's been 1 month and the customer service has been absolutely superb. Stumbling on Pedego was an accident. I was looking to purchase a bike and put bike store in my Google Maps. At the time I was in the vicinity of this store and it popped up. I spent some time at the store and within a couple hours decided on buying the element. Ben and Evan answered all my questions, helped me pick out the best bike that would suit my Lifestyle needs. Owen is absolutely fantastic! He customized my hitch so I could attach a trailer, he's helped me understand my bike, it's mechanisms, and it's operations. One day after I purchased the bike I messed up the fork, not only did the warranty cover it immediately but my bike's Fork was also replaced on the spot.. This bike dealership has been amazing to do business with.. And Owen is a fantastic manager and very knowledgeable about all things bikes!

I’ve had two great experiences at Dream Cyclery. First they were able to replace one of my tires for me, were super friendly and easy to talk to.
And then today I brought in my bike to have the back tire re-attached because someone had tried to steal it but then left it behind. They were able to fix it right away and free of charge. And they were again extremely friendly and easy to talk to!

Initially, came in looking for a bike for my 6 year old daughter. Staff were friendly and helpful. They helped us size a bike for my daughter. As I wasn’t planning on purchasing a bike so quickly, I didn’t bring a physical credit card (all I have is an Apple Wallet). As a result, they placed a hold for the bike.
We were able to purchase the bike later in the afternoon. They added the pedals and tuned it to ensure the bike was ready for my daughter. I also requested they add a kickstand and that wasn’t a problem.
I also brought my bike in for a tune up.
Overall, wife and I are happy and my daughter really likes her new bike.

I had a high-end bike built at Bicicletta 6 months ago and encountered a series of problems that demonstrate a lack of professionalism and attention to detail.
The first major issue happened when they tried to renege on their salesperson’s offer to swap handlebars for free after a professional bike fit session (with the fitter they recommended) because their salesperson “was wrong”. It took four months to get the bars swapped despite the manufacturer telling me that there were no inventory issues at the time. When they finally swapped the bars they told me I had cost them $1000 as if I were responsible for their sales mistake and they couldn’t resell the bars.
There were also some minor issues: missing computer mount, missing washer on rear thru axle, unequal length of bar tape left to right (by 1 cm), and a missing rubber cap on the rear brake calliper. When I picked up the bike, they almost charged me hundreds of dollars over the quoted price but, luckily, I caught that.
The next major issue happened after only 300km of riding when my chain dropped, got sucked into the crankset and twisted, and caused major cosmetic damage to the carbon frame. Upon inspection, I noticed that the small chainring was noticeably misaligned in a way that would explain the chain drop. So I talked to them about this but they said that Shimano installed the chainring, it passed Bicicletta’s final inspection (NOTE: so did those other mistakes above), and they will not help me contact Shimano about it. Also, they did not offer to help me get my bike rideable quickly, telling me I need to wait in their 2-week waitlist for bike service.
I have been patient and understanding for 6 months of poor service and poor communication from Bicicletta, and I have resisted writing a review until now. When I call them for support they are initially friendly on the phone and say they will call back, but eventually I get a call from their head of sales who seems to have something against me personally. I would never consider buying another high-end bike from Bicicletta. I should have returned it at the first sign of trouble rather than giving them so much time to sort things out. My patience was not appreciated.

Westside ski and bike board was able to accommodate a standard tuning and gravel bike tire replacement for me this summer, and I was able to get my bike less than two days before my bikepacking trip. They did an excellent job, and I definitely saw a noticeable improvement in my gears and tires. Thanks!

LOVE my new Pedego Latch 2! I had a great experience at Pedego Toronto, and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for an e-bike. Owen and team were welcoming, extremely helpful, and answered all of my questions. There was no high pressure sales pitch - they just helped me work out my needs. I also really appreciate the fact that I'll be able to take my bike directly to a dealer location for service and support. Really glad I didn't just buy something online.
The bike itself - perfect for me! Folding, not absurdly heavy, and terrific range. I test-rode a couple of other brands before dropping by the store. For me, they were all way too heavy and bulky. The Latch 2 is exactly what I wanted.

The staff at Westside Ski Bike Board store are very friendly and helpful. As the end of season had limited ski boots left, Steve (tech) measured me up properly and recommended the correct size, last, and flex for me to buy. A day later, I brought in my new boots and he helped me to make some key adjustment at a very reasonable price and fixed it right on the spot.
Overall, this shop cares for their customers and has definitely earned my business for all my future skis & biking needs.

Donny is first class and constantly providing constructive feedback about why I feel I need something. There is no pressure and if anything he pushes back which I appreciate as I work with a limited budget. He seems to know what I need and guides to a budget that works with the quality I expect. Donny is my go to guy for advice all things bike.

Just completed a custom build with Henry and Davide…the experience was exceptional, bike fit first before buying is good advice. The staff is friendly and helpful for cyclists of all level’s and price points…my first bike with Henry was a used 2001 Pinarello Prince I was treated with the same level of support on that bike as it did with my new one….I have ridden the Prince 12 years without so much as a flat tire. Thanks Henry.

i told him i had delamination, but had it fixed once and it's coming back. He assured me that i MUST be hitting something. I assured him, that i really didn't hit something with the rear of my ski, TWICE.
Also, if i hit something, wouldn't the top sheet show damage? or the layers show chipping?
It happens to skis, i expected some sympathy and maybe advice on repairs, not a complete dismissal. It happens to skis, lets fix the $1100 ones i bought from you. Won't be going back there for anything.

Seriously, Chris is a legend, we must have tried 8 pairs of boots over 2-3 hours before we found some that worked for my funky proportioned feet. He took the time to understand the type of skiing we wanted to do and recommended gear that was perfect for us.

I came here because my husband got his ski gear here. I have been having problem with my current ski boots. I always get blisters so then I ended up not skiing. Came here today to have some boot fitting and get an insight why I am having blisters. And the experience here is unbeatable. Jacob assisted me with sizing and to my surprise he also recommended foot bed it’s because yes I am flat footed. It’s rare to have a shop where they are very keen to details. Almost like you are talking to a doctor or like a boot fairy. Had a very pleasant experience, they are not intimidating at all. I have zero idea of what I should be getting and voila I think I found my perfect boots. Jacob explained very thorough how to put on my boots, functions, how to remove them. He also explained some reasons why I am having blisters. Really really pleasant experience. No pressure, no sales pitch, —- it’s just really solving your problem and explaining everything. Tried the boots he recommended, immediately felt the difference between my current and the new one. He also took time of heating and molding the boots to make sure that I will be at the best comfort. He took extra mile of also swapping the soles od my new boots so that they fit my ski’s. Super happy! Really well taken care of. So if you planning on getting on ski and don’t know where to start. After years of searching, lack of inventory and overpriced bikes, I decided to give them a chance. Although I love all the bike shops in Calgary none could guarantee they could get the bike that met my budget and needs. After searching online, I found that bicicletta had the bike I was looking for. I quickly contacted them and Cam replied right away, then Josh answered all my questions in regard to fitting and such. He even took the time to transfer my measurements to the bike to ensure it was the right fit. After making sure it was the right size, we then customized the handle bars and stem. I was a bit nervous about the shipment, but the bike showed up in about 5 days after we prosses the order, one day before Christmas! My boyfriend and I was looking at getting ski gears for him today. My boyfriend haven’t bought ski gears since he was a kid, so we were out of our elements as to what kind of ski gears he should get. We were helped by the owner, Steve. He was very helpful, knowledgeable, and patient. He took the time ask all the questions to figure out what works best for the style my bf would ski, and then walk us through what skis (what intensity he skis, where he would ski for what kind of snow he would skiing on, & etc.) are our best options, then the boots (what the best fit should feel like, what supported insoles we should get and what the benefits are, & etc.) and even poles (which he didn’t even showed the most expensive options, though he did indulge me in showing me the more expensive ones). Even though, the store has a smaller selection due to being a locally owned shop.. they do have pretty good brands and good quality products. Steve was also very patient with answering all our questions, as well as giving us his thoughts which was very insightful. Even the other associates that checked in on us or chimed in with our conversation was very friendly. We really enjoyed the whole experience from the conversations to the ski gears that we purchased. West side knows customer service. My partner bought the perfect downhill ski boot with their help and recommendation last year, and we went back again this year for myself. We both love the boots selected for us! They encourage you to look around for deals before buying, so great for not overselling you equipment beyond your needs. Was recommended that place by tourist information at Union Station for bike rentals over 8 hrs. The bikes are in good condition and pretty light (had to carry then in stairs so I can tell), some of them come with a front basket.
I would definitely recommend that shop for bike rentals on 24 hrs/48 hrs. I got charged $42.50 with a $150 guarantee the day I picked it up.

Purchased an $8000 bike online from Toronto. The bike arrived 2 weeks later than the promised date, I didn't complain. Missing accessories, gave my understanding. The bike had multiple scratches, I kept one eye open and one eye closed. But the deal breaker - a bulged chain stay with likely repainted rear triangle. My holiday had been completely ruined. Not gonna risk my safety, the bike as well as the accessories I purchased for the bike must go back.
Had been trying to get in touch with the manager for weeks, the manager was first gone to some event, then on his holiday, and then caught COVID, and bad cell signals cannot call me at the booked time, blablabla. First, the manager said he would talk to me directly, but later his employee somehow proceeded with my case with "warranty replacement" rather than "return" I had been asking for.
These are all fine, but after all that, the manager refused to confirm the refund amount, was not willing to take back accessories and was charging me a 10% restocking fee for accessories with return shipping on me.

The Head of Operations took initiative and made the contact. With I explained to him the full story, he agreed to make the accomodations. The bike and accessories were then returned. The whole return process was completed roughly within 4 weeks after the Head of Operations took over the case. It was all pretty smooth since then. So I would say they acknowledged the problem, and did what they supposed to do. And I am gonna change my rating from 1 star to 5 star as the Head of Operation himself did a very good job for standing out, taking over my case, and corrected everything very smoothly and efficiently. Not many bike shops would have a lead doing all that, not to mention being very active, so that was Bicicletta was good about.

About a week ago we drove to Pedego Toronto to view some e-bikes. We were greeted by Omar at the Pedego shop. This was on a Monday and the shop is usually closed. Omar agreed to meet us there in the afternoon. After about an hour we decided on two Boomerang bikes. Omar suggested we take a lunch break while he installed some extras on the bikes that we were buying. After lunch we returned to the shop, we took a short test ride then Omar helped us load both bikes on the back of our truck. This was quite challenging as the truck is a mid size. Eventually they were strapped down and we were on our way, 3 hours north of Toronto. We have used these bikes every day since we brought them home. They are exactly what we hoped they would be. We are looking forward to many years of exploring with these bikes and will be taking them with us when we are camping. Many many thanks to Omar for the excellent service and for giving up some of his time off to help us.

Even though I had initially chosen a bike that was wrong for my needs they really stepped up and helped me get my perfect fit. Sam and Omar are super chill and really great at no pressure sales. He even took the time to swap the front wheel to a quick release for me so I could fit it in my car. He also was very knowledgeable about paths and bike routes in the area.

I'm so glad I chose Mike The Bike over other rental options in Toronto. Mike helped me choose a bike and made sure it was comfortable before I departed. After a predictably horrendous experience at 'Bike and Forth' further East on Danforth, I came to Byron Bikes, which is where I should have come in the first place.
Needing a replacement handlebar post for an obscure and probably bad knockoff of a Rad e-bike, the work was done very quickly and a good price - plus he's an interesting and funny guy to talk to. This is where I will be going from now on. Even if it weren't so close by, I would go out of my way to go to Byron Bikes.
Oh, and don't even think of going to 'Bike and Forth'... unnless you like witnessing verbal abuse and big drama.

I brought my vintage road bike frame to La Bicicletta after powder coating it to have it reamed and and faced. I was very happy with the work they did. You can see it in the attached photos. After picking up the frame I had some trouble installing the crown race on the fork. I hesitated to force it, as I did not want to damage the fork or the race. I brought it back to the shop and they took care of it for me while I waited at no extra charge. Very professional, friendly and knowledgable staff!

Owners and staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. I went in looking for advice on a scooter I was going to buy on Kijiji and ended up buying one here instead.
