Very clean facilities, friendly, courteous staff. My grandchildren had a blast
Decent climbing gym. There isn't a ton of walls (I climbed most of the routes in the 2 difficulty levels closest to my ability in a single visit) but what is there is nicely laid out with good route setting. The facility was safe and well maintained. Staff were friendly.
Great big gym located in a massive complex and I like that there are hardly any people mid week, mid day. Lots of machines to try to improve your health or 'beef up' and everybody seems to be so quiet and polite, nothing like the awfully loud, entitled people screaming in their languages as I used to hear in central London, in UK. Nowadays, if you want civilised people you have to move away from the massive cities. Also, they have got a great offer for 10 passes, never expiring, especially when you get regularly sick for many months, what is not to love? Saving money.

Agreed. Great instructors. However, whoever is in charge of the aquafit classes should make a concerted effort to make sure there is a reasonable number of pariticipants in each class. This is not rocket science. If you haven't taken the time to register for the class, you shouldn't be taking up a space.
A great sports center, pool, gym, ice rink, dynamic music, sports bar, I love it, perfect place to fully enjoy the weekend!

Great gym to go , open 24/7 . Very clean, if you have a question about anything or need help they are always there to help you out with everything. The staff are very friendly, helpful, easy going. I recommend this gym if you live a busy life .
I can't recommend SBG Niagara highly enough! Coach Rich Beaupit is one of the most passionate martial artists I know. His commitment to his students is evident in everything that he does.

Meeting Coach Michelle and starting momma and me classes has been life changing! Not only is Michelle so knowledgeable in all things fitness and mindset, she is also so passionate about what she does. Since joining Round Two, I can say that I love working out again and I have met so many wonderful people along the way. This is more than a gym! Try it and see for yourself. ❤️
I love round 2 fitness!! The mom and baby classes are incredible. It's a great space to meet new moms and talk all things baby without any judgment, while getting a good workout in! Michelle is an amazing coach who really cares about her clients. I look forward to attending her classes every week.
I started with Round 2 in December of 2022. I used to be a 4x a week for 2 hrs gym goer, until the pandemic hit.
Knowing the blue season was coming, I decided to get ahead of it and Christmas, and signed up with the intention to help my mental health and “just move my body a little” 2 times a week.
Well in a short amount of time, 2 days became 3, then 4, then 5/6. I started noticing my strength increase, both mentally and physically. I wasn’t so focused on the look, but the jars I could open by myself (without smacking them with a knife) and the confusion on men’s faces when I respectfully decline their offer to help, and gracefully lift/cary something heavy to my car.

Michelle has created and fostered a community of strong, confident women and is constantly supporting and pushing us to be the best versions of ourselves in not only the one hour spent working out, but the 23 hours a day outside of that.

This isn’t just a gym, and it’s not your average gym. I am so happy I joined, and I cherish the women I’ve met along the way. Thank you coach Michelle!
I've been working with Michelle for the last 5 years and cannot recommend Round Two Fitness enough! Honestly, it is so much more than a gym, it's a fabulous community of women. It's accountability for the other non-workout hours of my day. It's inspiration to be my strongest self and it helps me to keep up with four active littles every single day.
I've met so many amazing people through Round Two. If you're looking for a gym, look no further!

I was registered in two of her classes in the middle of COVID. She was very supportive and encouraged me to be positive and believe in myself that I can do anything that I put my mind to. She is a great coach and a great person. I love her gym and all the members are great!! Amazing all around!!

I found Michelle during my postpartum time and felt so vulnerable entering a “gym” space, what I will say is her space is safe. She was so welcoming, inviting and inclusive. Her gym is the farthest thing from a gym I’ve experienced, it was a true community of people cheering for the other to win. This woman is the definition of bad a$$ and I couldn’t be more excited to call her a coach!

I am really loving my experience at Round Two Fitness 😊 the class sizes are small and intimate. The atmosphere is very encouraging and welcoming, and Michelle C. Grano holds you accountable, but in a positive way!
If you're looking for a very inclusive fitness gym, this may be a good fit for you.

Best climbing gym I have ever been. The facility is clean, well organized. The stuff are AMAZING! They create such a welcoming, diverse and encouraging environment. They update the routes pretty often so you can expose to different settings, I progressed so fast in this gym! Everyone is so nice. I absolutely love it here and I feel so lucky to find the gym, it definitely worth the drive!
A major community hub in Peterborough with great facilities and lots of recreational offerings. Drop-in programs could be better organized, especially in the gymnasium. Capping attendees so it isn’t overly crowded would be a good start.
What a great facility for sports, make me envy their resident to have good time with their family
Thank you to great one to give us such a gem
They have their own hall of fame! Fantastic!!
This ice arena is outstanding! I was here for a tournament in the area and most of our games were hosted here.

The facility is absolutely stunning and massive. There is even a public pool in the sports complex. It’s the nicest arena I’ve ever been to and I’ve probably been to around 100.

I recommend making the visit here. It’s unreal.

Well maintained, small and perfect for the small town Brantford. It’s 24 hours open and pretty much busy all the time. You won’t get overwhelmed with a trillion of equipments and you get enough space for free weight workouts too, which is not a usual scene in other well known big chains these days.
The complex is very new and clean and big. However, the 3 out old the 4 hockey arena spectacular area are inadequate. They are small and the rinks are not very bright.
Keep in mind I'm only reviewing the food court, not the club.

When I ordered, I asked the staff what "M" and "NM" were on the menu. “She explained: "M is a member, and NM is not a member." I said: "Then I am not a member .”(my husband is a member, but he is playing hockey and not around, so I didn't use his membership number). I felt the tone of her voice was Not very friendly either, when my son asked about the price of the drinks, then she started to express her impatience. When we finished ordering and it was the turn of the next customer, her attitude immediately changed to become friendly.

I immediately thought she was impatient because I am Asian and my English is not good, and I feel race discrimination.

I love Anytime Fitness, they have a great staff and a very welcoming environment. The employees are very kind and do a great job at keeping the place organized. Theres a good variety of good reliable equipment and they always seem to be adding new updates to the gym that have helped my workouts progress over time. They have 4 private washrooms that are kept very clean and are rarely all in use. You can tell they put a lot into running this place with purpose by the constant hard work each person puts in, especially that Nicole. If you are looking for a new gym its a great place that gives you the sensation of a clean personal one. If you're looking into just starting your gym journey, its a great place to start and give you a proper introduction of what a gym should be like.

I was gifted a membership with someone else's name and payment info and, despite not going/using the membership, they continued to accrue account overdue balances when the credit card used by the gifter expired for more than 6 months... Instead of pausing the membership or clarifying why I haven't been there, they now want me to pay $328 for a gym I don't use and are sending me to collections/ruining my credit (that money may not seem like a lot, however I am a healthcare student, just finished 3 years of full time school yesterday, and am thus already in debt for *legitimate* services & resources I used). Their "gift" to me if I pay them is waiving the 30 day cancellation period.

Just be aware this is who you're getting into bed with - and when I'm looking for a gym in the near future once working, I know this is not a franchise I will ever associate with. I've previously used Goodlife, World Gym, and Crunch with only positive things to say about those experiences.

They say they won't "bite you" as per a manager comment below - that is absolutely untrue. I have been a member at many other places and never run into such issues. They do not care about you being a member and just want money. Had they dealt with this differently, I would have considered being a member given that I'd like to find somewhere that's available 24hr as my work will entail day/night shiftwork. But unfortunately that's not the case.

After working out in my home for many years I decided to get a gym membership again- I actually signed up at another gym & quickly felt uncomfortable due to how clicky it felt. My fiancé suggested I try Anytime Fitness so I went in & talked to Madison- who I think could sense my hesitation. She offered me a FREE 10 day trial (most places rarely even offer 3 days). After my second visit here, I knew I was going to sign up. I feel extremely comfortable coming in here & enjoy working out again. The staff are always very responsive if I have a question, they get back to me ASAP (I work out very early) & it’s always clean. They also have very cool give aways and incentives to keep their members motivated. Way to go Anytime Fitness Brantford! Your awesome!!
Gym is too small, no music and way too expensive. You have to pay for so many things you don’t want like the pools. Very glad my subscrition ended and I can now go to a real gym.
The facility, especially for a city the size of Brantford is amazing!! 4 ice pads, good sized lobby, bar with seating to watch main ice pad, upstairs with walking track and standing room for main ice pad, Source For Sports on site, good sized dressing rooms.....the ONLY thing holding it back from 5 stars are the benches. Most newer rinks have benches spaced to allow U8/U9 half ice to function normally, because they don't, U8/U9 half-ice boards force one team to stand beside the benches which makes it obviously difficult to coach through glass. For that age group, it's a huge deal.

I recently visited the YMCA with my family and unfortunately, our experience was less than satisfactory. We purchased a family day pass, looking forward to utilizing various facilities. However, upon arriving at 4 p.m., the basketball gym was already full of teenagers, leaving no space for younger children.

We tried alternative areas, but the inconsistent communication of rules by the staff added to our frustration. On three separate occasions, we were given different reasons for restricting our children's access to the same area. This lack of clarity and inconsistent enforcement significantly impacted our visit.

I would suggest improving communication by clearly displaying rules in relevant areas. Considering the overcrowding issue, expanding capacity or implementing schedules for different age groups could greatly enhance the experience for patrons.

Unfortunately, our family won't be choosing the YMCA for future outings, but I hope these issues are addressed for the benefit of others.

Anytime Brantford is great - the staff are super friendly and it’s the cleanest gym I’ve ever been to. No matter when you go in during the day undoubtedly someone is vacuuming and making sure everything is organized. I’ve never observed a damaged piece of equipment in over two years that hasn’t been labeled and quickly fixed. Also I’ve left personal belongings accidentally and the staff put it aside and it was left untouched when I came back the next time. Kudos!

Over the years I have used many gyms and I now choose Anytime Fitness in Brantford as my "home" gym. The staff here keep the place spotless. They are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful whatever your age, your fitness level or personal needs. The equipment is well maintained and is upgraded on a regular basis.
During the Covid shutdown this was the only gym that was allowed to remain open with vey strict guidelines for special needs members. It involved a tremendous amount of work for just a few eligible members. That's how much they care!
Thanks for looking after us all.

Great facility, rinks are good and bright. 2 stars because the public bathrooms are terrible. Consistently the floors in front of the urinals are wet and sticky and the sinks are just as bad. A quick mop and a wipe every couple hours would do the trick…
Best place! Highly recommended
The membership is not cheap so the least you can do is fixing the sauna. It's been out of service for so long that I've seen PETITIONS in the men's locker room today. If that doesn't move it I don't know what will.

Have complete equipments.
Superb facility. Most of the weight machines are manufactured by Atlantis, which is based in Montreal. What this means is that the machines are always in great shape. Very clean facility plus it doesn't get mobbed like downtown gym.
Enjoy the gym, clean facilities, pool and hot tub are great after a workout. Only issue is the hours on the weekends. I wish they were open longer to help those who work until 5.
We have been members for over 10 yrs. Kids attend swimming lessons and have also attended land programs. Pool is always clean as well as change rooms. My kids range from 3 yrs old to 16 and there is something for all of them. The treehouse is fantastic for kids under 10. We also recently hosted a birthday party there and it was a great experience as well (and reasonably priced).
The only thing I dislike is that the cost has fluctuated since covid. The monthly membership fees increased, as well as the program fees

We have been for drop-in, their crushers program and now a birthday party. I have been nothing but impressed with their facilities, but moreso with their people. Always really friendly and kind with kids. Awesome community feel here.
I enjoy going to aquafit. There is a huge demand so often I cannot get the time slot I want. There is a shortage of instructors but this is common to many other aqua fitness facilities. Nevertheless I am glad to have the opportunity to attend.
I had a lovely massage with Liz,she is very sweet and attentive to my needs..I will definitely visit again.
Excellent spray park, pool, sauna, adult hot tub, and adult dry sauna. Plenty of parking. Reasonable prices.
No hot tub and no answering a phone even it’s big for nothing wired town if I can give 0 star I will
Pricing is reasonable for a day pass which gives you free range to use anything,
I'm looking into a membership so we can enjoy it any day more often. The pool is average. The pool for the smaller kids Is actually nice and warm, the other pool with the deep end is cold, you can also do laps, the hot tub was actually nice and hot.
We all had so much fun and we have kids ranging from 5 years old to 16 years old.
highly recommend ..been a great place to raise our kids and play hockey, tennis and hit the pool in the summer
Big facility. Coming soon. Put those electronic devices away and read a book. You will be able to borrow a book from the Brantford Public Library located across from the Hall of Fame. Another reason to get your library card.
If you guys are looking for an Olympic pool, to swim or to have a recreational time, this place has it.

The gym has a lot a of equipment, perfect if you don’t wanna wait long periods of time for a machine to use.
Swimming pool review: Overcrowded and expensive for what it offers back!
I am a member of the swimming pool. I pay at once yearly (something around 450 cad) they take it at once but when it comes to serving me there are always interruptions without any compensations. There is always a competition, always a training team and i can barely find a spot on a lane with three other people. I complained and they told me that"those teams are paying" like they allow me in for free! I will cancel my membership! Such a shame! So if you can get a spot to swim nice and clean pool. Good luck!

Not sure what kind of club this is that the VM says the office is open from 6am to 10pm but I've been calling their number 5 days in a row on Weekdays between the hours of 10am-4pm and no one responds!
I had a wonderful time with my daughter and her friends here.

She climbs here all the time
And because I love top rope she brought me as Mother's Day outing. I love it. It is very spacious, has many levels of difficulty and each level is numbered. I find this much harder to do. There is a lot of parking spots and the washrooms inside. They also provide climbing shoes. The staff was so friendly and helpful.
I had a great time.
I joined SBG Niagara 8 months ago & I am so thankful I did. When you read “Niagara Region’s most beginner friendly Martial Arts Classes”, or “One Tribe, One Vibe” it really is, the atmosphere Coach Rich & his fellow Coaches, the people who train there bring is truly what is advertised & is what makes SBG Niagara the best Martial Arts School. Coach Rich is a person I respect & admire, he is genuine, honest & truly wants what is best for his students. The other coaches are real, helpful, & full of techniques. The members there are super friendly & bring a judgement-free zone. Everyone loves seeing each other succeed. The way SBG teaches martial arts not only as a sport and exercise but as self defence is really what Coach focuses on & it has truly changed my life. It has made me grow mentally and physically. I feel more confident in myself and my ability has grown and will continue to grow.

SBG Niagara will change your life for the better, 10/10 recommend!

One of the best gyms in the area. All of the climbers and staff are kind - I have been to other gyms where there’s a toxic “gym bro” vibe. The setting is a healthy balance of old-school pulling and modern competition boulders that span all grade levels.

I mainly use this gym to train for outdoors. The spray wall is at a nice 22 (or so) degree slight overhand with an abundance of crimps, slopers, and pinches. If not for the lovely 2017 Moonboard, this would be my go-to tool. The gym is also equipped with 4 campus ladders (sloper-jug, and 3 ledge sizes), as well as multiple hangboards. The fully decked out weights area (squat/bench rack, dumbbells, rings, grip blocks, etc.) is sure to elevate your fitness level.

I might be nit-picky, but one downside is the unusual grading system composed of numbers 1-9 (maybe). They don’t correlate to the V-grades which makes it a little confusing at first.

All in all, this is my favourite gym in the area (KW-Cambridge).

My kids love this place every time we go! The staff are knowledgeable and take care of the guests. Went around 2pm on a Saturday and it wasn't too busy for the kids to try everything. This is a climbing for adults as well. Will return! Would be good for 10+ but they also have guided classes for younger climbers to learn the basics. My youngest took those and loved it.
Very old facility, a maze of hallways and stairs to find dressing rooms, almost no seating. I don't think they know that they can clean Plexiglas.

Great place! A variety of pricing makes it worthwhile to go a few times. Lots of fun! This place appears to be busy. Most of the climbers were regulars. They also offer lessons.
They sell healthy snacks and drinks but also have water fountains. Plenty of parking.

My name is Tom and I have been training at SBG for 8 months now. My son started at sbg before me he was being bullied. His confidence and his situational awareness improved with in months of training, this was enough to stop the bullying. I fell in love with the friendly coaches and the infectious learning environment so i had to try it out. You will learn so much more then the most efficient way to choke out an attacker!

My son and I Love SBG!

Tom Comrie
Great facility with fantastic coaches. Friendly staff and patrons alike. So happy to be able to drop in while I was in Kenora this summer. Looking forward to visiting again!!
My kids and I really enjoy coming here to climb. We are not very experienced but there are routes set for all skill levels. Rental shoes are available for about 5 bucks if you don't have your own. I like the environment at Core as it is laid back and I think that the bouldering format is great for all skill levels and ages. With no harnesses, it is much easier for kids to explore the gym, and with a few clear rules it is easy to keep them in line and respectful for the other climbers. I have not used it, but there is also a nice training area for members with weighs, squat rack, campus board and finger boards etc.
Bit disappointing experience.
No feeling or experience at all at this Olympic stadium.
Just a concrete building.
No possibility to feel anything here
I’m playing west van this year and so excited to play in such a good facility. In the past years when I have played there the staff is very friendly and the change rooms are very clean and nice.
Best leisure centre ever
Love every activity they have
Two years ago I was researching a mixed martial arts gym in the Niagara area for my son. After meeting coach Rich I ended my search for a gym. Since then he has been a strong mentor and a positive role model for my son. Jiu Jitsu is a great workout but it also provides confidence, self-discipline and many other life skills. It is true SBG is the "most beginner friendly" classes in the Niagara area.

After a two months of watching my son, I decided to give it a try. It does not matter your skill level or your age. Coach Rich and the other coaches provide a great atmosphere and environment to learn in. The attention to detail on the techniques amazes me and always learning something new every class. I would strongly recommend SBG to anyone looking to improve there life.
Amazing Gym , very big space and well maintained equipment. Also awesome view
Very friendly & knowledgeable. Had fun learned a few techniques.
Coach Rich is quite easily the most patient and understanding instructor. His ideology and methodology combined with support from the other coaches in addition to the inclusive atmosphere altogether make SBG Niagara the best martial arts school in the region.
My son has been training at SBG Niagara for almost 5 years. The fitness aspect is great - but i would have to say the boost to his self-esteem, confidence, and life perspective is even more impressive. Coach Rich (and his team) are all fabulous. SO happy we found SBG Niagara!
As good as it was even with COVID
Absolutely love the trainers and totally recommend going to this facility. They are excellent.
Nice Olympic pool that is open from 06:00 AM , cost is high CAD8 and you need your own lock to close the locker. Showers were good. The swimming lanes were 25 meters but not in the length. Was afraid it would be an issue but enough other lines on floor as a focus point.

Water bit warm 28 degrees I think

But not busy and relax atmosphere!
Great place to check out! Found the pools overall condition to be very good in comparison to others i've visited.
I absolutely LOVE Evolve! It is such a welcoming and accepting environment. Jessica is an incredible motivator and I enjoy my Personal Training sessions with her. The yoga studio is beautiful and promotes calm and relaxation! I totally recommend Evolve!
Absolutely love this place! Beyond welcoming environment with the kindest trainers who will push you to your limits. The yoga studio is so BEAUTIFUL and relaxing!!!!
Two words to describe Core: amazing community.

From the staff to the facility this is a great community for Kenora. It doesn't matter if you're looking to improve your overall fitness level or gain a wealth of knowledge about functional fitness, this should be your choice without a doubt.

Membership prices are beyond reasonable for the quality of service you receive as a beginner or an advanced athlete.

If you want to support a "local business" this should be your first choice for fitness. It doesn't matter if you're thinking about changing your lifestyle for the better, or are trying to further your knowledge base of functional fitness, Core has you covered.

You bring the mindset and they provide the rest!
There is 4 pools. Two of 50m. One for diving. One small pool for the young kids. There are yoga classes, aerobic and spinning class. For TRX classes, you have to pay an extra on top of your subscription. For the weight room, you have a variety of machines for the legs, arms, abdo and free weights.
Rich Beaupit's coaching abilities were apparent the first time I walked into Straight Blast Gym of Niagara and saw him run a kid's class. The students were laughing, playful, but not reckless. They listened carefully to instruction and acted respectfully with their partners. They also had a lot of fun. To my mind, these are important markers for a quality gym.

Straight Blast Gym of Niagara is a safe environment open to people from all walks of life. You don't need to be a super-athlete. You just need to be willing to learn. That's the starting point. The goal then is one of group learning, rather than a mechanism of enforced hierarchy.

This sets Coach Rich's gym apart from so many others. Here, community means more than notoriety. And the seriousness of training is not trumped but ego, but predicated on the idea that we can help each other be better - both on the mats and out in the real world.
My three boys have been training at SBG Niagara for more than 3 years now. They started as absolute beginners and have grown immensely both as martial artists but more importantly as young men. Rich Beaupit is a gifted coach and an even better human being. His classes focus on fundamental principles as well as vital life skills in a fun and engaging environment. He has a genuine passion for his work which rubs off on his students. My kids love coming to the gym and have bonded with the community that is SBG. I wouldn't dream of having my kids anywhere else.
The absolute best for fitness and community. The coaches are amazing and so knowledgeable and helpful. The members are like family.
I registered my son in one of the summer Multi Sport Day Camps, one week for $365, included lunch. The program guide indicated skating as one of the activities, no mention that you have to own your own skates. I thought this was a great camp, he would get to try a variety of activities in a safe environment. The Friday before the start of the camp, I receive a standard email from the camp instructor, guess what, turns out if you don't own skates, you cannot skate and would have to do another activity. Okay, I wasn't happy but I figured the kids would get to swim, since they have a pool but no, the alternate activity was coloring, 2 hours sitting in a cold rink colouring! I sent an an email with my concerns, no response or acknowledgement.
I was not impressed, and I won't be registering at NSWC again, no follow up to my email, and my son didn't have a great time. It's not worth the $$$, and the program guide is misleading. There are better choices and options available on the North Shore.

****Thank you Kim Hirji for the immediate follow up and call with regards to this posting. I appreciated your explanation and that you plan to make your brochure clearer moving forward. Your call made all the difference and we will indeed try NSWC again for further camps**** Thanks!
Crossfit Core Ktown is a world class training centre nestled in the beautiful lake of the woods. Coaches blend caring and pursuit of excellence in perfect balance! Programing is solid and fun. Folks who train here are welcoming and friendly. Encourage both locals and visitors to give it a try!
Amazing staff, reasonable prices! Best gym in town
What a rip off. $15 for a drop in. No coin lockers but they'll sell you a lock for $8. Can't really justify spending $23 to workout. Especially when it said on their website that it was $9 for a drop fee.
A big place just one time for birthday party. I cant say alot comments here. Il put a pic
Facilities are clean and in good condition
Great place to work out, run, and play squash. The recently opened soccer field is also great.
