Obviously, the prices are too high. Let's not kid ourselves here. The markup is large. Some product sections are just rich people fads or candles.
However, the products are fresh. The staff is fantastic. If you need nice food to serve guests and you have the coin to spend, this is a great spot. I think this is 5 star for what it is, which is an everyday grocery store for rich people and an occasional grocery store for rich people with mortgages (previously known as 'middle class'). I love that it's across from a Walmart and beside a Crate and Barrel. I see you, Mississauga.

I have been shopping here since 2012. I don’t even live in the area anymore but still come here because the employees who take care of this location are superb!
I have seen Jean the cashier for many yrs & will even wait in long lineups to be served by her. Her kindness & professionalism is unmatched.
Hazel is also a cashier who took the time & had the patience recently to help me cashout all of my old gift certificates with small balances on them. I can’t say enough about how kind & courteous she is.
There are many more employees like this but lastly I will mention Jezreel who I basically see as my friend now as he has been so hospitable to me every time I enter the store a friendly greeting & just that simple acknowledgment he always gives to the customers really goes a long way!

Best quality, unbeatable prices, and the most kind service. So much produce these days has no flavor, it's depressing to chance it when you're also breaking the bank on the basics. Kensington Fruit Market keeps fresh fruit and veg on our table year round and I don't know what we'd do without them <3.

I’ve been shopping here for over 5 years and they’ve consistently kept their prices reasonable, as Loblaws and other big chain grocers have increased theirs tenfold.
On top of actually affordable produce and groceries, everything is always fresh. Their seasonal selection is great too. Sometimes I don’t even know what I need for the week and their selection is so good I can plan my week on the fly.
Also, don’t disregard their front of the counter offers. Always have fresh berries, herbs, a good selection of olive oils, canned fish, pine nuts and saffron.
The owners are also extremely friendly and welcoming.
Shopping here is a very pleasant experience with an added bonus of sticking it to Loblaws and Metros of Toronto. If you live in the area, you should consider Kensington Fruit Market as your produce shop.

Good range of food, salmon tastes amazing...dunno why but best salmon in a grocery store... customer service is friendly but most staff don't know where to find stuff. The best part is the bakery (Amazing Glazn)

I visited my first time on Sat. September 23rd namely for the antique market. I was disappointed as there were very few stalls to browse at. There weren’t any prices labelled unless it was a bargain place selling trinkets and odds and ends.

The variety in this store was beautiful! I never went before until I needed truffle oil and I was in the area. I will go again! The only sad thing is the grocery prices but that's everywhere! Wheelchair accessible, friendly for all families and well layed out in my opinion
Great lil shop, awesome produce, wide selection of healthy and nutritious packaged foods and good prices.
Our go to for great German Yellow (winter) potatoes which are absolutely delicious and waxy, perfect for traditional German Kartoffelsalad. They also have great parsnips Russian garlic, onions and much more! Support local farms!
The store has fresh produce mostly from local farmers. Their pies are best. I tried their pecan pie and it was delicious. They sell A2 milk here which is from one of my favourite places (Sheldon Creek Diary).
Great WF with a reliable hot food bar, good sushi selection, and all the normal WF staples including the allegro coffee bar. Plenty of indoor/outdoor seating, parking is ample, and it’s pretty easy to navigate the store.

For 6 years, Apple Farm has been a staple for my everyday grocery shopping. They always have the best produce, by far, and they have all the necessities at great prices. The folks who work at Apple are absolute gems as well.
I love Whole foods. I know it's expensive store but sometimes you know you need different items. Just browsing is okay. But they are carrying rare items too. It's amazing store.
Nice place to visit. lots of apple products -Apple butter, fresh apple pie etc. they have tasting samples for the pie and they are fresh made. lot of collection of bread too, gluten free as well. but when I went almost everything was sold out in afternoon. though I did not find sourdough section. handmade soaps. lot of variety in meat section. overall good.
The front end staff were pleasant. But I literally had to walk around the store 3 times, obviously looking for something with my empty basket. I was not greeted, let alone offered any assistance. Plus, they didn't carry the one product I went there for.
This place is worth a visit and you will be surprised to see so many fresh fruits, vegetables and lots of baked goods and jams and relishes. I was surprised to see a lot of British goodies. I was surprised to see Goat and Buffalo milk.

For as far back as I can remember we always visited the Apple Factory every Thanksgiving. Even though we would go throughout the year, Thanksgiving was a tradition for us. We used to sit anxiously to wait for the fruit to start playing, then we would get our gingerbread cookies and apple cider. Even now we carried on that tradition even this year, more special as this was going to be our last thanksgiving 😥. I do suggest visiting the apple factory before they close their doors as their produce is fresh and homemade treats are out of this world.

Have been going here for years to taste their freshly baked pies . Buy greasy apples . Today the choices were coconut cream pie , blue berry pie. A quiche , pastry and farm greasy chocolate milk . Pies sell like hot cakes as they are delicious. A must buy

I went to buy hot bar food and ended up picking a few other items today. When paying for my items I asked the cashier if I could buy a gift card. He said, "Yes, but I'm going to help the next person in line so that he doesn't have to wait." What? I asked why I was supposed to wait as he wasn't finished serving me. I decided to not bother and will get a gift for my friend to shop somewhere else.
The market as everything you need form food to furniture and if you are looking for quality gift to take back for friends and relatives see the shop with the best customer service I found and you can use your card.
Great farmers market! Friendly outdoor and indoor FleaMarket. Fresh fruits and vegetables. Variety of stores. Organic honey and dried nuts. It's cheap and affordable prices.
You also have variety of turkish sandwiches which i believe are cooked on charcoal right outside before you enter the FleaMarket. We also come for the Delicious corn on a cob.

The manager told me to move from an aisle when I was speaking to one of the visiting sales reps for a supplement. This person I was talking to was contracted by WF and had a booth there, so the manager could have negatively affected their sale if I was going to buy.

I just had the worst experience in the supplement department. The staff was shockingly rude. They were out of stock on a product, and I brought the tag to the service desk to ask if I could order it. Instead of accommodating me, the woman snapped at me for bringing her the tag. I said I’m bringing it to you to show you what I’m looking for. I thought it would make it easier for you to scan it. I will put it back. I know exactly where I got it from. She snapped at me to do that now! Then she tried to take it out of my hand to say that she would do it. As I was sticking it back on the shelf! Never again. I’d rather shop where I am treated with courtesy and kindness.

What a great grocery store. It’s a real inflation fighter. We need more good businesses like this to fight Loblaws and others and their uncontested price gouging! A whole container of cucumbers is only $1 here!
You'd think that cutting out the middle man (I.e. grocery stores) would lower the costs of products that supposedly come directly from local farms. You'd be wrong. Overpriced dump. Just go to Costco or Loblaws/Metro. The deep thornhill pockets who think they're buying "better quality" meat/produce keep these guys in business.
It's a huge store where you can find a lot of things. I especially liked the plant based burgers and other veggies.
The York Farmers Market is an asset to the neighborhood and I'm so grateful to live around the corner. The best carrot cake and fresh baked goods from the bakery at the entrance. Stuart Carrols butcher shop is a stalwart. The best florist in Thornhill for a special occasion. Grab a drip coffee and relax at Burukudu. Reesors for a world class selection of cheeses and organic goods. Stop by the middle eastern booth for their mini shawarma pizzas (you'll thank me later) And George is making some of the best fresh pasta in the city, I wish this guy got more recognition. Overall, please support these local businesses. They are the lifeblood of our economy and are few and far between. Without our support, the market could end up as another Condo development or faceless corporation. York Farmers Market over Loblaws any day of the week. We love this place dearly
Not impressed, prices through the roof but when I got blueberries, some nice ones were on the top, and the floor sweepings and inedible pieces were hidden at the bottom, not a few, but like a good 1/4 of the container. Won't be buying here again.
The hot food bar and salad bar are not what they're used to be. This is how the food bar look like 6 hours before it closing. In general, it hasn't been the best experience at the food bar since COVID. Cashiers are wonderful ,meat departments and produce is amazing. But ay the dry good shelves, You can find expired items all the time.
As someone who juices regularly I have to drive here from Richmond to get good quality organic produce. It’s incredible to me that I cannot rely on the local Richmond grocery stores (including Superstore) to reliably carry organic produce. And contrary to what many people believe about whole foods, their organic produce always costs me LESS than when I am able to find it in Richmond!!
So much fresh organic produce for very good prices comparable to anywhere else in Victoria. The reason one star is missing is because they sell animal products which is upsetting to see as animal products come from animal cruelty. I enjoy seeing their vegan products and am happy to see other vegans (animal lovers) shopping there. The employees are extremely kind, helpful, respectful and intelligent. This is my favourite grocery store in Victoria mainly because of the employees, I hope they are payed well because they deserve it with their wonderful service and welcoming energies.

Worst customer service ever. Didn’t even get any acknowledgement at the caisse with no thank you or look my way when I paid and just got thrown the receipt and the cashier just stayed on their cell phone the whole time

This is me and my wife's go-to market for all our fruit and vegetables in the neighbourhood. Ever since I was extremely over-charged and abused by the owner of Oxford Fruit (in Kensington Market), I will not go to any other place but here. The owners are friendly, the store is cool on a hot day, and their prices and choices are very reasonable.

Great place for shopping to be more specific if you need fresh vegetables and fruits. Only cash without HST. There is a huge parking lot. Unfortunately, there is no navigation and you have to remember spots. There you can find a natural honey without sugar. There you can repair your bycicle. Last my highlight is Thai massage which costs 40cad per 30min. In addition, there are a lot of cafes with range different cuisines.

Came again this week for the pizza, Angela or Angelic was very helpful and informative about the pizza selections. Awesome customer service. We have been coming to Square One location since it opened. Friendly staff and always helpful. They carry many products,fruits, vegetables not found at other groceries. Their pizza is delicious.
Wonderful little grocery in Kits. Excellent selection of products, both Asian and European, plus fresh produce. Friendly people too. I would much rather shop here than in the Safeway or Whole Foods across the street.

Went there to pick up a U-haul I had previously booked online. I was a bit worried with all the bad reviews I read before, but everything was perfect! Service was efficient and courteous, the Van was in good condition, I didn't get any surprise fees. Totally recommend it :)
Whatever you do, don’t touch the GD Saran wrapped watermelon! And for the love of god make sure they’re not sitting at eye level of a toddler, because they will for sure “poke them” and cranky shop dude will make rude comments about your kid “poking” the watermelon.
For the record, my kid didn’t poke it, he touched it. We came in to purchase some fruits and veggies for my “poking” children who have expensive taste. They wanted all the fancy fruits but instead we did a 360 and walked out of this establishment.

They have a great selection of high quality produce, often including local items and things I can't find elsewhere. Prices are super competitive, especially given the quality. Their dry goods offer a well curated mixture of North American and Asian items. So much more variety than the big grocery stores.
My family and I have been going here every weekend for years. It's like a big family and great community. Fresh food, bakeries, home made items, florist, butchers, juice bar, produce, crafts and many other vendors with local items.
This is an amazing market style grocery/bakery. The decor is unique old time country and cheesy awesomeness. The baked goods are delicious.

I live near this place, so I've been coming here for the pre cooked to go and grocery for over ten years. The store is small, but most of daily necessities an be found here, and the weekly sale items always offer very good prices. There are many employees who will greet you proactively and offer help. However, there are two female employees in the coffee bar department who have been working there for a very long time. Whenever I see them, even though they are wearing masks, I feel like they are not looking at me and do not want to greet me. They seem very indifferent, which is really bad when I come to drink coffee early in the morning. I always say thank you politely, but they still don't respond much. Overall, most of the employees are enthusiastic, and the products are fresh and reasonably priced. I will still come here to consume frequently.

Great farmers market, nice food court, lots of STUFF! My highlights were the video game shop, book shop, and natural products (shea butter and soaps). Affordable prices, generally cash only. Lots of low quality products and fake brands though so be on the lookout for that.
Visited first thing on a Saturday morning and entered before too many patrons had visited so I could have a good look around. Hansen's bakery had some delicious fruit pies on offer, however, I chose a butter croissant to go with a nice coffee I purchased from Morean's Kitchen. I spotted a whole host of British goods in the Thornhill green grocer so had to stop off and purchase some Branston's pickle, I noticed a large selection of British candies,yet resisted. At Steele's bakery I bought a really nice multigrain loaf which was delicious when I consumed it at home. At Stuart Caroll's Quality Meats there was a wide range to choose from. The stewing steak I purchased cooked very well and the breakfast sausages were excellent. My final purchase was the meat lasagne from Pasta Serio, there was a lot on offer from this Italian focused store. I had the lasagne that night and found it was really good, the price was a little higher than I expected for the entree, yet, it was quality ingredients. As this was a farmers market I was expecting prices to be actually higher and if you're local this would save you travelling downtown Toronto to the other farmers market I know. The staff were all friendly and efficient.

It's a big store and not so bright. I feel sad in this store. However, two young ladies who give you service have big smiles and quickly assist you. The parking around is rare because it is impossible to park on 12th St. On the street, sometimes it is hard to find any.

Extremely bad service, they rent trucks, we called to confirm, they say everything is fine and once you get at shop they tell you that they don’t have the truck and make you waste your drive, and 2 more hours. Extremely bad service

Terrible service. Asked to drop a uhaul off after hours and no drop box provided. Never give this horrible place your money. Complete garbage. Uhaul obviously doesn’t care about their name either.

The supermarket itself has a decent selection and the pricing is okay, however worth noting as previous reviews have stated, they do not enforce the mask mandate. Most Staff were wandering around as well as preparing food without masks, (excluding the cashier and a person stocking shelves). Half the patrons also did not wear masks, nor did they mind their distance. It seems clear that they're not serious about taking appropriate measures to protect the health and well-being of their customers.
I got a 'To Good to Go' app' haul of goodies, awesome value for money and a great range of still fresh locally sourced fruits and vegetables. Albeit mostly full of onions, there was some good variety of produce veggies and fruits. Where any packaging was used, was fully compostable which is rad.
Great selection, very clean, lots of vegan items. You can park underground or outside. Cashiers are really nice. There is a bathroom you can use as well. Pretty large store. They carry Very Good Butchers items, vegan salmon, vegan croissants, vegan cheeses, and a bunch of other things. Pretty well stocked.
Great selection of well priced organic produce and hard to find gourmet ingredients. Byward Fruit Market consistently carries the best selection of wild mushrooms in the city. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly, the produce is fresh and the range of ingredients is superb. Highly recommend this boutique establishment for all your culinary creations.
Taking back a friends uhaul and they said there would be charges for gas. I showed them the gas reciprt, and the two photos proving we put in more that what we started with. If you like to Hassel and barter and just be absolute scum, this store has you covered.

It's been here FOREVER. You can everything from several organic butchers to jams to clothes. They have a coffee bar and the freshest fruits & vegetables. Don't miss out on their MANY delicious bakeries. (Hello! Shortbread w smarties or m&ms) chocolate croissants and fresh pies. Love!
Haven’t been since they re-opened but previously they had a good selection of fruit and veggies, and I found it was the best quality for price in Kensington.

on june 22 between 3.30 and 4.30, the woman behind the register reached into the trash with her gloved hands to push it down, then proceeded to touch the produce I was buying. I am not a frequent customer, but this shop is one of my favourites, and it was too bad to see this happen. I should have said something at the time, and I apologise to all other customers for not doing that. Thus, I am further inclined to leave this review.

This is my best SWEET CORN in the whole world. The kernel is full from bottom to top, sweet, crunchy and juicy. Can't get any better. The quality of the produce from them are superb, fresh and sweet. Sue, the owner is very friendly and makes sure that the customers are happy. The whole family are serving and working in the farm, you'll get to know them.

Really neat experience in the heart of Ottawa. It was bigger than I expected, there's tons of food options, music playing and plenty to see
Living right near the market and working in the downtown core, it's easy to just go to Farm Boy- despite its outrageous price and often crowded aisles. The Byward Fruit Market is a local and intimate alternative right in the Byward Market, with a friendly staff and peaceful interior. Their fruit and veggies are a decent price and they have a surprising variety. It's more fun to shop here than in a basement or at the Metro, or Loblaws.
Quaint little place that sells fruits and veggies. It has been in the market for a number of years - the owner is very nice and really helpful. Hard not to support a small place like this which is a "ma and pa" shop. With the incoming of Farm Boy, it's difficult to support a store given the prices in comparison. I still go for time to time but I now take my business to farm boy to get a better price and sometimes quality.

Great little family owned market. Qualityof produce is very high and it is all grown on site.
Good fresh food and friendly staff. They have a many specialty items that are difficult to find elsewhere. Some things I go for are; dried Mexican chilies, tomatillos, exotic fruits, nice dates and nice selection of fresh mushrooms.
This small farmer's market has been around for many years. They have a good selection of items. I was told they're open 4 days a week.

Great location to grab some fresh Ontario meat and produce. One huge downside is that many of the places here take cash only and there is no ATM.
The produce section does take debit and can give you cash back as a work around, but I typically don't like to carry cash around and it's a mild inconvenience.

My gf and I pretty much eat the burritos from here 4 times a week. We love it so much!! The staff are super nice and very friendly. The only thing is that the size of the burritos are sometimes big some times small.
