We visited the lovely area and was hypothesized by the beautiful smell from this bakery.. The staff beautiful and happy, the space so cute and inviting and the flake factor on the pastry was a 11/10 ..try one of their toasted sandwiches, the sausage rolls and the delicious pretzel buns.. of all we saw in our visit to Vancouver this was a great end. Thank you Swiss From the Torontonians with love 💞
Highly recommend this bakery/cafe. I had a latte and a turkey bacon and it was delicious. The servers are kind, polite and very helpful. Great place to have a team meeting. (7 of us order drinks, sandwiches and desert and came to $73! - An incredible deal.

The……crème…….bruleee croissant!!!! Uffffffffffff. I love Swiss bakery. It’s like mom’s lemonade. A familiar taste. It’s always good. Homey and welcoming. After all, it’s mom!! That’s how this place feels like. A neighbourhood gem. A lovely cozy right at home feeling.
An underrated spot. Very delicate delicious pastries and very good coffee. Service was super friendly as well! Will definitely be coming here again
Cute shop, food is tasy and of quality, loved my dirty chai, and customer service is great. They give a personal touch. They even sell day olds that are still so soft. I'll have to try them next time.

I think this is a small family business .. I visited BC last year for a week and this bakery is just behind the building where I stayed. The owner and servers are really nice. They serve their bread fresh, sometimes warm!! Love their 🥐 and 🍩!!!!
This is my bestfriend’s to go to breakfast place. Would definitely come back again when I get a chance!!!

A variety of apple products such as apple pie, apple butter ,apple cider, caramel coated apple, honey from apple blossoms and …
Nice to visit when you’re on route.
The building itself was closed during winter.
Hi. We have picked up Croissants & treats to go before but today was the first time we ate in for breakfast and the service was terrible. The woman who brought our order was impatient and down right rude. One of our breakfast orders was incorrect and we said “no problem, it looks delish.” With no real acknowledgement or answer. We asked for water to accompany our breakfast (we had ordered coffees, breakfast and bunch of croissants to go) and after sighing and not verbally answering she brought one glass of water, we asked for a second water and she sighed and rolled her eyes. Again, the food was good but won’t be going back - it was really not enjoyable.
In the past I recall really enjoying the Croissant Express Bakery. It is a nice spot to enjoy a croissant or pastry - which I like. I had the French toast today and did not enjoy it. They over soaked the bread in the eggs, and cooked it on the same frying pan as an omelet or something that tasted like green onions. I still like the real maple syrup and the fruits were decent, but won’t be buying food from here again.

Great spot to stop on a roadie. The treat shoppe within is an excellent stop for some gummies and they have halal ones there as well. There also a store with lots of pies and tarts and other delicious items. There is also windows to peek through to see the magic. There is also a restaurant with some food items and a petting zoo for the children. All in all a good spot.
Des produits sans gluten délicieux et un service extraordinaire! Une formidable découverte!

I’ve passed by here many times and finally stopped for a short visit in September. It didn’t disappoint! There are so many apple products, including things that I would never have imagined. I got a good old apple pie, and I quite enjoyed it. The big apple face is cute. A nice place to stop by during your drive!

A fantastic stop along the 401 highway! The shop offers freshly baked apple pie and a delightful array of pastries and other delicious treats. A must-visit for a quick and tasty break during your journey.
Incredibly unprofessional hiring process led by Magnolia Torres.
Supposed to have a call Monday 9 AM, not only she missed the interview, she didn’t even email back. After texting her about it, she didn’t even remember my name. Then she told me Tuesday 1 PM and it’s 1:45 PM no call. I had to call her to remind but then she didn’t even have my information in her system.

Although I didn’t interview for the position, I would never work in an environment that is careless and disrespectful to its candidates.

Disappointment.

I was really hoping this would be a nice little bakery, but their baked goods are just not very good. I bought a cinnamon bun and a croissant and was extremely disappointed by both.

The croissant was more of a bun than it was a pastry. Zero flakiness, kind of crumby, no discernable layers. I suspect they didn't use much butter and they didn't laminate their dough. Truly a terrible croissant and I don't think they can actually call it one. The one thing it had going for it was the dough was the right level of saltiness.

The cinnamon bun was equally bad. It was very light in terms of cinnamon flavor, basically raw in the middle, and had no chew or gluten development. The bun didn't "pull apart" at all, more so just broke apart because of the crumbiness.

I really wanted to like this place because of the proximity to where I live, but I don't think I'll be going back.

It's a great stopover during our winter road trip. The Big Apple appears to be open all-around season where in wintertime there is a lot of Christmas decor out plus a Christmas market. I enjoyed my time browsing through the country grocery store, where they sold more than just apple produce. There's fresh honeycombs, baked goods, toffee and other farm produce sold fresh here. At that time we also got a free box of honey candies with our purchase during a winter sale. The raw honeycomb tasted awesome!

Prices vary depending on what you're buying. There are restrooms available, and a factory section where you can watch bakers create the apple baked goods like pie from scratch. I definitely want to visit this place again, during the summer and recommend this place to anyone on the highway passing. The Big Apple is an open and welcoming place to customers of all ages and very family friendly too!

A nice stop along the way heading between Ottawa and Toronto. Nice clean washrooms are always a good find on a road trip. 👌 Apple pie can be hit and miss, I guess. The first time I came here, I had the best Apple pie from here, and it's never been as good as that since. It's still pretty good, though, so I keep coming back. Apple bread 🍞 for the win here. Always consistently good. As of writing this review, the sign says they have sold over 2 million loaves. They must be doing something right to sell that many. Had the traditional poutine. It was acceptable.

Worth a visit and a great pitsstop on the 401 East. Ample parking space. Lots of activities to do for kids. Good Food options inside and also in the food trucks that were present outside. They have so many varieties of desserts and bakery items. Very hard to resist. Priced nominally. There is a mini golf course which even adults can play, some rides for the kids and a petting zoo as well. A great spot for a summer weekend.
They have very good croissants and a cute atmosphere but recently their croissants have gotten a lot smaller - shrinkflation. They used to be 3x the size.

The Big Apple doesn't disappoint :) There are a lot of 'apple' options like pie, strudel, cider and a ton more. Moreover, the smokehouse fills the area with a satisfying smell. Looks like over a few thousand products to shop and there is also a garden decor boutique. Lots of fune for everyone.

This is our required stop whenever we pass by. They have fresh baked apple goods as well as tons of other things that kids would love. Petting zoo, candy store, photo ops, large bakery, mini golf, food trucks and much more! They are open late as well!

Excellent bakery! The croissants were extremely delicious 🤤 First time having a multi grain croissant, and i was really impressed how good and fresh it tasted. 😋 Their coffee is ok. Their sandwiches are excellent; flavourful and BiG portions of chicken. They have cozy seating inside and a nice patio. Friendly staff too. Overall a great experience, and highly recommend!
Great cheesecakes and cookies! They no longer sell at their retail store but you can find them at most grocery stores.

Pros: Convenient location beside the Vancouver Art Gallery. Staff are friendly and very helpful. Occasionally there is a cashier who speaks French, so you can almost feel as if you’re in France. Nice seating area inside and on the patio. Cons: Very limited selection of things to eat on a weekday after the lunch rush. Washrooms are sometimes dirty. There is often a long queue to get to the cashier. Pastries are average; one would naturally expect more, given the high prices for food here. The vegetarian quiche is shockingly bland for something that costs around $14.

Every year, we go here at least once! Always worth a visit.

The food selection is great. Mumble Crumble apple pie is the BEST apple pie there is!!!

There is a great area for kids to go golfing, a free carousel and free train ride, and a free farm to visit! What a fun place for little kids with zero cost at all.

The giant apple structure is a great photo op and I believe you can climb up inside it but we have never tried.

It gets really busy at times especially when there is a bus of tourists that comes along but it never bothered our visit or experience.
I have heard good things about their croissants from my friends and I came to pick up some croissants on a Saturday morning, but I wasn’t quite impressed with them.

They have good variety of cold and hot croissants and the prices vary somewhere between $3.5 (plain croissant) to $8 (cheese croissant). I ordered Almond Croissant, Pistachio Croissant and Chocolate Croissant. Almond croissant was too sweet for my taste, the chocolate croissant didn’t have much fillings, but I liked the pistachio croissant. I noticed they added the fillings after the croissant was baked, which wasn’t what I expected.

The girl at the cashier was rather impatient, but the lady who served us our croissants was nice. I think they could up their game with better customer service.

My favourite place for freshly made apple fritters and pies! A must stop if you’re driving along the 401, its super easy to spot with the giant apple in the front.
On weekends they have local small businesses, they always have food trucks, a petting zoo, and mini putt for the kids as well.

Used to cross this big apple while driving towards west from Toronto. This is the first time we got the opportunity to explore this. I haven't realized how interesting it is. They build the place thoughtfully. We enjoyed all activities and different food. Their vegetable pie is the best one in my life.

This is our first time ordering Uber takeout from you. For the prices you command, it doesn't feel like the quality is there. For a $17.45 crepe, I would hope that packaging would be better so that half of the crepe doesn't stick to the paper that it was housed in. It literally fell apart. The fruit cup it came with wasn't the freshest either (many grapes were uncomfortably soft). The sandwiches and pistachio chocolate croissant seemed to be fine but the crepe/fruit part made a mediocre impression for a $48 breakfast.

If you are looking for a cozy coffee spot in Mount Pleasant, definitely stop by. This local coffee shop and bakery has a warm atmosphere and reasonable prices (slightly higher). It's perfect for a quick bite or grab and go, not the best for sit down dinning. Outdoor seating is available but not outstanding. The food offerings are decent, although the sandwiches could use more flavour and the artisan bread and treat options were limited.

However, with 30 years of serving the community, it's a reliable choice. Please note that they now only operate on weekdays. Overall, a decent option for those in the area. I can't vouch for the entire menu, as I haven't tried everything myself.
If you’re in the area, looking for a quick bite, definitely stop by!

I often go in the morning for breakfast, but I was disappointed to pay almost $7 for the ham and cheese croissant when it had a tiny slice of ham, and no cheese inside, only a little bit on top. I went at 9am and the croissant itself was not fresh, so I’m guessing from yesterday. Not fair business to charge the full price for that and I don’t think I’ll be going back anytime soon.

A wonderful café in Vancouver with amazing service. I went with my mom yesterday and the Lemon Yuzu was so delicious!
Nice place to buy apple pies and lot of delicacy. We bought Sparkling Apple cider, crullers and turnovers. I love the turnovers and apple cider. Both are delicious. There is a nice open view of the staff preparing Apple pies. Awesome. Lot of attractions around the park with a big Apple smiley, farmers market with fresh natural goods, rides for children, fish and chips, souvenir shops etc. Best place to stop and relax on 401 highway.

Crème brûlée croissant! It was delicious! Best cream filled croissant I have ever tried. Croissant was light and flaky and the filling creamy. We also tried a donut and a peanut butter cookie and both were really good. A bit on pricy side but worth it. Will come back for a pretzels next time!

Came for lunch and had the most lovely ham and cheese crepe! The ingredients tasted super fresh, and the black forest ham added extra flavour compared to crepes I've had before.

The interior was lovely, and I can't wait to try the sandwiches whilst I'm here too. Would recommend to anyone in downtown.
Honestly the best croissants I’ve had outside of France…ever. I’ve been coming here since I was a child and always get a tuna sandwich on a croissant and bring home a box of mixed croissants for the family.

HOWEVER I sadly cannot give this 5 stars solely based on the horrible service. Staff take absolutely forever to serve you and even when they do they tend to either look flustered / confused or bored / half listening.

Still because it’s my favourite croissant place I’ll be back many more times…just absolutely never when I need to grab and go lol

The matcha and the lavender cake are good. But that chocolate cake though… it’s so dry… felt they left it in the oven 15min it’s to long. It was so dry and not pleasant to eat…. Yuzu and lemon tart is ok.
Best bakery in town
Horrible experience
I emailed them to inquire about cheesecakes and never got a reply
Few days later I called to inquire and phone was answered by someone who sounded like they were high and told me to go to the grocery store instead 🙃
I do not recommend

I love the outside seating, watching ppl and enjoy your coffee. Almond croissant was so fresh . Interior design is nice too .
It is illegal to sell food in a retail store (burnaby wholesale club) and not have the expiration date printed on the packaging. Shame on you

4.5 - A cozy little French Cafe with a great selection of fresh and creatively made pastries and sandwiches. We come here quite a bit. Our usuals are the double chocolate pistachio croissant and the vegetarian spinach and feta croissant and we love them both.

Their Americanos could be slightly better, but that's because I tend to like my coffee quite strong, so usually I get my Americano with an extra shot of espresso, I find the single to be a little watery for me.

The atmosphere and environment is really lovely and tastefully decorated and all the windows gives you a cozy place to sit, observe and just Be. I find the staff varies, as sometimes when we walk in there's a warm and attentive friendly greeting and sometimes there isn't.

There's also a great space outside to sit if you enjoy a nice chilly morning with your coffee cup and pastry watching the locals walk by :)

Visited their W41st Ave. location in Kerrisdale expecting to be impressed. The place was busy, and the staff there were shorthanded. Faubourg is affected by the very common problem in Vancouver, not enough people interested in working in the restaurant industry... Despite being super busy, staff were diligent and explained that drinks in particular, might take a few minutes to be prepared. No problem there. Ordered a Nutella filled crêpe, a couple of macarons, and a double baked pistachio chocolate croissant. In general, the 3 were ok, but not spectacular. The croissant in particular, probably better when recently baked, but by mid day just ordinary, and therefore not worth the price in my opinion. Will have to give their other specialties a try. The cakes, tarts and savoury treats look great, and I'm really hoping that the experience will be more exciting...
Luv working for them .. great company

Great little coffee shop with a nice outdoor space. Located across from the art gallery. Beautiful decor inside with plenty of seating. Americano was strong, the way I like it. Prices are a little high. $5.35 for the almond croissant.
Great supporter of nonprofit organizations.
This is a bakery warehouse and distribution center. The public isn't allowed on the premises. The aroma of fresh bread in the air is nice though.
We have ordered a number of times from Baked2Go and keep coming back because of the fantastic quality. I have a child with celiac and anyone looking for gluten free items knows how hard it is to find breads that hit the spot, let alone croissants!
Items come exactly on schedule, nicely sealed and ready to eat or freeze. The sealed bags for the croissants are fantastic for keeping them in, pop them out of the freezer, defrost and you have a delicious treat.
When our most recent order came, our resident celiac opened a baguette, sliced it up and enjoyed it with just a little butter. A little was shared with the rest of us ;) Eating gluten free bread that isn't toasted tells you how good these baguettes are!
The Madeleine Cakes are fantastic to pop in a lunch bag, since they are individually wrapped. They make a fantastic little treat.
The other item we really enjoy are the pizza crusts, so easy to pop your favourite ingredients on to make a quick pizza at home. Love having these in the freezer ready to go! A good quality crust tastes better than so many ready to cook pizzas.

I visited this French bakery shop at the heart of Kerrisdale yesterday seeing the pretty pastries, eclairs, tarts on display. There was a long queue inside.
The ambience of the place is nice and relaxed. There is a big seating area inside as well as a patio at the back. We tried their decadent tri-chocolate mousse. It was delicious. Most of the pastries cost about 7.6$ which I found to be quite expensive.
I would love to try some of their other pastries in future.

I picked up a Swiss Bakery Pretzel and Pretzel Bun from Wholefoods, they are super yummy and I absolutely love them!! So much I have to make a trip to their bakey which I am sure is awesome.
They're great as a snack or even I used some Avocado, egg, spinach, tomatoes and cracked black pepper with chilli flakes to make the most epic Pretzel sandwich know to mankind!
Wholefoods themselves do a great Support network or selling local Vancouver-based business produce which is awesome!

So very delicious! love the take home m&m cookies and the cheesecake is amazing!
I've never actually been inside the store, but had a really upsetting encounter with the staff last week. After work I planned to go to Osso (a restaurant beside them) and had never been before. Unfortunately all the parking was full outside of the Osso entrance so I parked to the side of Sugarplum Desserts (in a row of other cars). As I got out a lady from the store started yelling at me that I couldn't park my car there. The parking lot wasn't even half full at the time and there are absolutely no signs around stating whether spots are reserved or not. When I asked her, she said I had to move or else she'd call the tow truck and stood watching me as I moved the car. Shocked, I parked in another stall and was still nervous of getting my car towed. When I talked to the workers at Osso they said that I was allowed to park anywhere in the complex (which made sense since more than half the spots were empty, i.e. no companies fighting over spots, and theres no clear markers saying where you can and cant park, I mean, as long as you're in a clear parking stall). Overall, what I wanted to be a relaxing meal after work became stress that I'd get towed. With the chance of getting yelled at or towed, I wouldn't risk it.
It's commercial bakery
Good people that make great english muffins
Love this place, their cakes are so delicious and best of all not too sweet.
I just love their key lime cheesecake!
