La mejor parte despues de pasar el paso del circuito O
We LOVED Cuernos. The setting is absolutely breathtaking and we found the platforms for our tent to be extremely convenient. The staff were legends too and so kind and accommodating when we needed help with the tent. The refuge itself is so cosy with great views and the dinner was the best we had anywhere on the W.

The tent area is quite crowded, and I found it very difficult to sleep due to the very noisy idiots drinking and shouting in a nearby tent.
The showers were OK, and the toilets were decent in the afternoon and an absolute mess in the morning.
They have sufficient plugs and even USB ports to charge your devices. The kitchen area is quite dirty no matter the time of the day. Dinner was dry and waaaay overpriced, but it is what it is considering where you are.

The refugio is a great place to stay. The rooms stay reasonably warm and blankets are available. I was very satisfied with the service of the hospitality staff - they were incredibly helpful in organizing certain logistics and contacting another group for us. The grounds and lodge were kept clean despite the bustling amount of friendly travelers around. The bar also had the NFL on during the playoffs which was much appreciated (by me).

The food - the meat was terrible, but the rest of the meal was great. It's a better deal to just buy the pizza at off meal times if that's enough to sustain you for the trek.

Plenty of room to store a bag as well.

We booked the campground for our own tent in advance because they say on their website the space is limited. It was sold out the day before and after our stay so we payed the very high price of 70$ for 2 people (1 night) to make sure we have space now in January in high season. When we arrived and saw that the campground is huge and almost unlimited, we asked for the reason to limit it on the website. They said it‘s all about marketing.
What made us really angry is that we found out what you pay when you just show up on the campground without a reservation. You would pay 35$ for 2 people, that is half of the price! So we learned:
DON‘T BOOK ONLINE!

Close to the welcoming centre where the shuttle bus to the pick-up and drop-off place goes from. Staff is friendly, the food is good, lunch package and breakfast was a lot! Also able to pick up your breakfast and lunch from 00:00 to 06:00 if you wanna hike in the morning. Tents were good, even better than the tents at their sister camp Frances. Oja, from here you can see two of the Torres, while drinking a cold Cerveza Austral El Calafate. Only downside is the price of everything, but that's what you get in a monopoly position.

We arrived late after a 22km day on the W trek and in the middle of dinner. Despite this we were greeted warmly and immediately fed. Our room was the most comfortable place we stayed on the W trek. To note, it was also the most expensive, but if you have the cash to spring for the private cabana, it’s well worth it. This was also potentially the best food we had on the W trek.

We didn’t hear good things about this place, but it was our only option to stay near Torres Base hike. We seriously had no complains about this campground! You can pitch your tent in the bushes, toilets are clean, showers are hot, soap and toilet paper were available, there are picnic tables available for everyone, laundry area is great and they provide detergents. In a small kiosk once can get some pasta and chocolates.
We got lucky and stayed in a private cabana and this was our favorite stay during our W-trek hike (probably because of the view). The rooms were very comfortable and the bathrooms were the nicest we’ve been to. The cabanas were quite a hike to get up to but worth it for the view and comfort!

The food wasn’t bad compared to the other locations we visited. It’s definitely worth trying to get a cabana if you desire comfort!

OK’ish, but not more then 3 stars. There is lot of space to pitch your tent.. but not really wind and rain protected. Sanitairy facilities are moderate. Hot showers, but only a few for such busy campsite. Quite pricy for what you get (I paid 16000).

Hard to imagine food could be inedible even to a person who just hiked 16 miles. It is a buffet style of incomprehensibly, startlingly tasteless items such as mashed potatoes and green beans without seasoning. Do not pay $40 for it and order a pizza instead! You must push the button every ten seconds for hot water in the shower, and there is only a communal soap. On the plus side, the view is amazing, there are cup noodles in the store, a well set up & warm tent, and a cool fox that steals shoes!
Big site, modern hot showers but as elsewhere in the park, the showers could do with some benches and hooks to put your stuff. No shelter to prepare food if you're camping but the main bar building is within walking distance and they're okay with campers bringing their food inside to eat.

We stayed at the premium camping in the Refugio Los Cuernos. It was clean, and well maintained. It was nice to sleep with the sound of the waterfall nearby as well. We actually preferred the premium camping to their bunk beds which looked cramped. The staff were super helpful. The bathrooms and showers were clean, working well and had hot showers. The food was also good and plentiful. If youre buying snacks/drinks at the bar with cash tho, they prefer small bills.

Really really beautiful. Pictures were taken from our campsite, with mountains on top, stream by the side. Falling asleep with the voice of stream water running, waking up with stunning view. This is a “premium campsite, fully equipped”. They have a lake view bar with outlets. One downside is too many people, too little space, restaurants always busy and crowded.

We stayed at the cabaña cabin at this Refugio. Breakfast and dinner were very delicious (juicy, tender chicken and real scrambled eggs).

Bathrooms and showers are very clean and well-ventilated.

The bar serves draft Austral beer and has a great view of the lake.

It IS expensive, but you gotta treat yourself when you make it to the middle of the W Trek.

The campsite reception is a short from the Central welcome building. The service by the staff and the facilities (toilets, hot showers, sinks) were adequate. Everything in the park is expensive: 7000 peso for a beer! Camp site, tent, mistress, pillow for 2 pax: USD 220/night!!!!
Very barren so windy campsite, in small tents on a wooden platform (rental tents) Camping reception is at the back right side of the main entrance. Toilets/showers ok (preset water temp so warm). Cooking room is cosy and social. This was the most expensive of the 3 we stayed on W hike, up to CLP 9000/beer! Staff friendly and reception helpful with all questions. Day lockers CLP 4000 if you do the Grey glacier without main backpacks. Pudeto ferry dock very nearby, on left. Tickets CLP 25000 on the boat only.

Overpriced and very exposed windy site with little shelter for tents. The comunal cooking area is great though, and the view from the campsite is fantastic on a clear day.
How do I book it for camping ? Is there any other way than vertice website?

Un oasis en el largo camino hacia camping grey, exelente atencion de los guarda parques de conaf.
Actualmente no es camping, sólo guardería. Tiene baños y un sector para cocinar bastante abierto y frío.
They have some walk-up spots, so you can get a campsite if you come early and bring your own tent and camping gear.
There is WiFi service, 9000 pesos for one hour, 12000 for three hours.
I expected the worse based on the reviews but I was actually impressed by the cleanliness of the tent and bathroom, both very well appointed too. The food was by far the best we had in all refugios in 5 days. Placement was also nice with a great view in the morning.
The bathrooms were disgusting and so small that with the door opening all the time it was very cold. The placement is in a very windy spot so that kept me up all night. The food was really average. The bar is a nice addition with really great pisco sour.

The new campsite is further away from the lake (not like the old one) the refuge contraction is modern, and offers some utilities like dining and showers. The camping ground is comfortable, but seems alot smaller than the old one. Kind of miss the old one that have the feeling of camping at the beach.

This site has the enough number of showers very well functional. There is a kayak activity in the beach. I understand that this one is popular in the w area. Also, the building of refugio here looked way better than some other refugios. The campsite in the forest looks more quiet, but many mosquitos wait for you.

Heard this camping site has best condition in TDP but disappointed.
Pros: Food was the best in contrast to the other three camping sites we stayed (Chilino, Frances, Grey), various options and well cooked.
Cons: No hot water on the day we stayed and it didn’t happen in any other camping sites. Windy day and night. I couldn’t fall asleep without earplugs..
People said “best condition” might mean the dorm but we booked tents only.

Camping Grey was one of the nicest spots that we camped on the O Circuit. Lots of soft, grassy, sunny tent spots available. Hot showers, clean bathrooms with soap and paper, a small market in the check-in area with beer, gas canisters, snacks (Pringles!), and other pre/post trekking essentials (high prices compared to Puerto Natales), and a large kitchen area for cooking.

There is a short hike out to the Lago Grey with floating ice and a view of the glacier edge. Also Big Foot rents kayaks from the beach (book ahead of time!), and there is a Catamaran stop. The hike from Paso to here was very beautiful all along the Glacier Grey with three amazing, high suspension bridges. If you are doing the W and don’t have a lot of time to do the out and back bridge hike, I recommend going a little past the second bridge to the Mirador (view point) and then turn around and go back. It should take around 25-30 minutes to the first bridge and 45-60 minutes to the second bridge. The path to the Mirador is about 2 minutes beyond the second bridge.

Very nice camping site to start the trekking to Mirador Glacier Grey, which takes around 3.5h one way.
You can also find the Refugio here with restaurant, storage room, wi-fi and shared dormitories (for those not willingly to stay in a tent). Bookings need to be done directly through their website.

The camping is excellent, with new and well kept tents, comfortable facilities and common areas that are as good as you can expect. Staff is nice and helpful. What really does the trick though are the marvellous surroundings. Pristine forest, lots of birds, plenty of wildflowers at the roght season, and the imposing Glacier Grey

camping with beautiful mountain views. but always very windy.
the tent should be set right on the ground.
the water in the shower is a little warm, after a hike you will not relax. the doors in the shower do not close well, a constant draft. the toilets are dirty and smell very bad.
Good point that near there is a bar, restaurant and Kincho, where you can warm up and eat
Somewhat far from the main West entrance of the park, but the trek was incredible. The camping spot is very well placed, just at the base of the mountain, in the forest hidden from the wind a little bit. There are very nice installations for bathrooms, showers and even an enclosed area for cooking without worrying about the climate.
We had to call Vertice in order to confirm our booking request. If you do not receive a confirmation in a week I suggest you do the same!
They could do a better job to make this a nicer place. Feels like staff don't pay much attention to keep the place nice and clean and give information. Off course it's your only choice for starting the w-trek and comparing with the other campings not expensive at all. There's a cooking and eating building, so you can cook and eat inside sheltered. Hot showers, but only between 18u-22u (so not in the morning? Don't know why!). Little shop but off course expensive. Can be windy. That's why most people put their tent close to the mountains.
