A paní spravcová=pokladní opravdu úžasná a velmi milá paní!

One of most historic landmarks in Prague, the library is old and has many old books one of them from the third century!! You cannot go further inside one two meters and take pictures without flash because they have to maintain certain temperature and humidity!
Another cool thing, you can go up to the tower and enjoy the view of the old town from above!
Must Visit :)

Interesting to visit because of its uniqueness. Mind the fact visitors cannot, in fact, enter the library. Rather, they are allowed to take pictures from the door.
Zumindest in vielen Sprachen.

Fun experience visiting this absolutely gorgeous and breathtaking library & astronomical tower. We weren't able to go inside the library room itself, as to preserve it. I wasn't aware of that fact prior to purchasing the guided tour, so I was a bit disappointed , but understand why that rule is in place. Still a great experience!
Beautiful place to spend time in.
We had and amazing trip 😍

Inkl. Observatorium und Wetterstation!
Dauer insg. ca. 50 Minuten, die absolut lohnen!
Past through here if going to Prague national museum.

Prague Castle is a cluster of buildings with a double-spire cathedral that surrounds a central square, high atop and overlooking the city and the Vltava River. St. Vitus Cathedral is spectacular, some 700 years old with an interior that rivals the best in Europe. Impressive carvings, stained glass and paintings make this a very special hallowed ground. The changing of the guard was interesting, while musicians played from open windows. Panoramic view of the city, albeit rain and fog on our visit in September. Hint: follow behind the marching guard for a better central view through the opened gates.

A must go place when you in Prague!
You may need to spend over 4-5 hours to experience all the spot.
The castle is only part of the experience, you will also have chance to take a look the Gold Lane, and cathedral.
The view is very beautiful, really “THE PRAGUE”.
There will be lots of steps, remember to wear a comfortable shops.

The entrance to the castle and parks are free. We got tickets to enter 5 buildings. Experience was very nice. My favorite part was Artistic Street, where artists sell handmade things. The medieval room upstairs was amazing. Great experience

The castle looks impressive from down below. To get up you have to climb a lot of stairs! Not recommend if it’s a hot summer day. At the top you find a overprices starbucks and the museum shop. There is no way to fill up your water bottle as there is no fountain This was really disappointing. But the castle is beautiful. The tickets are fairly prices considering you can visit different buildings. The view from the top is also great.

Great place! Full of history. Organized tours with stories about the library. Unfortunately the library cam only be seen from the entrance door in order to preserve books. Great view of Prague from the tower!
Most of the palace is actually a free to walk around area. You need to pay if you want to visit the museum parts or a small street, or the toilet. The signs are very distinguishable so you need not worry. The front yard of the castle has a narrow garden with a great view towards Charles Bridge. Exploring the small streets to get to the castle was in my opinion just as nice, so take your time and walk around.

Great historical place to see. The library itself can only briefly be seen from the outside, but to prevent any damage to this legendary library, this is the right thing to do. The rest of the tour with the astronomy tower, including the view over Prague from the top was breathtaking. Two thumbs up as well to our guide Miro!

The most beautiful library of the world , very very ornated which holds soooo many books and tge view from the tower was great.
Only bad thing is I booked the time slot that was narrated by a Czech speaker but on the website it didn't specify which language will be spoken. Also the time is very limited to be there.

We were so glad we visited! The views were amazing and the library was beautiful. Book ahead or stop by in the morning to reserve tickets. We went to grab tickets one afternoon and the remaining timeslots were somewhat limited. The steps at the top are super steep, I have a hard time with heights and coming down was a little slow-going for me.
Super

Be aware of the “first hour 50% off discount” because they only do it if there are sufficient people in the first hour!!!!! Kinda of a scam but okay.
Regarding the price it’s okay, not super cheap but at least a nice view and explanation of the library and astronomical tower

An in-depth guided tour gave us the history of the library and the building. Climbing a steep staircase, on each floor we stopped and our guide would talk if through the purpose of that floor through history. The main library room is heavily restricted as it is extremely well preserved which means it can only be viewed from a small area inside the doorway and the lights are dimmed to help with the presentation. It is no less beautiful though. The view from the top of the tower is one of the best.

Tickets sold out very quickly so make sure you book in advance.
Jan Zajíc and Jan Palach both committed suicide in Prague in 1969 to protest the Russian invasion of this country.

Prague Castle is definitely a place to go if you are visiting Prague. There is so much interesting history and the architecture is magnificent.

I’d recommend going to the visitors point and getting an audio guide as you walk around, as this makes the experience much more extensive.

Entrance to the castle was free, which is great. There were various exhibitions on, such as a picture gallery, which you could visit with a cost.

There was a nice cafe in the castle gardens to have a refreshing drink.

The main attraction of this place is St. Vitus Cathedral. The place itself is nice though. Good accessible by Tram. A guided tour is recommended but using the audio guide from ticketing office is good alternative. Easily consumes half a day.

A beautiful architecture from the outside, nothing special to see inside.
Most of all we liked the view from the tower with the 287 steps, you can see the beauty of Prague from all angles. Astonishing

This place is unreal!!!!! It is hard to believe that places like this still exist. This whole city is actually unreal. This is definitely a place that everyone (if you have a chance) should visit at least once in their life time. There are so many places to see and to visit within the city.
In the castle make sure that you visit the gardens as well. If you want an even better experience, go there late at night when there is barely anyone there and the lights make it turn into a n even more magical place.

For those who love history, Prague Castle is the place for you. Loads to do and see.

Beautiful views across the river towards the city centre. Recommend you take binoculars if you have them.

Bear in mind that if you approach on foot, it is a steep climb, but well worth it.

Will be enjoyed by all the family.

I found it overrated. The sightseeing tour lasts only 50 minutes. The tourists are not allowed to enter the library and have only a few minutes to take a look inside. And it is rather dark inside, so you won't see a lot. The overlook terrace is nice, but very narrow, and you have only 10 minutes to take pictures.

The library and view are wonderful. I could stay in the library for hours and hours, it’s a shame you can only look in and can’t really enter into it.

Our tour guide was mediocre at best, he didn’t really know anything and suggested if we had any questions to google them or go to the National Library next door.

The library as genuinely one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen, so it’s definitely worth seeing, just don’t expect much from the tour.

One of the most beautiful places to visit in the city. It is better to take public transportation to the castle than car. The best time to get there is early in the morning like 7 (even though the places inside open at 9) to take pictures when no one is there. There are at least 5 to 6 places to visit inside and you can buy the ticket combo for that. None is free even though the entrance to castle is free. Half a day is enough to see everything.

Prague Castle is located on a tall hill and has a view of the city below. It's like its own small town. I took many pictures here, and when I showed them to my friends, they thought the pictures didn't look like they were taken in real life. People are going to claim that it is edited. The most important advice I can give about anything related to Prague Castle is to plan to spend two separate half days there. I am saying this because there will be a lot of people in the mornings, but you can use your tickets for two days. If you go in the afternoon, you can visit three or four places before they close. You can come back the next day to finish your tour. That is the most optimal way to visit this attraction. The area is very spacious, and there are buildings all around. You may not be able to enter all of them, but the ones that are open and listed on your ticket are worth visiting. Definitely worth checking out and definitely worth the effort to go up.

An incredible place with incredible buildings and less likely views of the city. A must visit this place, a place of strength. Very beautiful, very diverse. Advice, do not go up by car, small streets, very difficult to separate, better to walk. Especially when you go up and down each building will be very beautiful and unique.
We took the underground tour of one hour with a very lovely guide it was interesting and very informative of the tower's history.

Unfortunately, we received, however, a very unpleasant treatment from the woman at the reception (the one who sells the tickets) who was extremely rude to us for no reason.

Beautiful yet sad Jewish cemetery near the old town. Has a hundreds of burial stones in the grounds and also 80,000 names of Jews killed during WWII. We did a self guided tour as unforntunately we were on a tight timeline due to leaving Prague the same day but we would recommend maybe a guided tour option at the cemetery to find out more of the history if possible.

You absolutely have to pass by the museum where the names of the 80 000 Jews killed during WWII in Czech Republic are written. This museum is very simple but gives you a slap in the face when you look at the names on the walls.

The cemetery is very special because of the density of graves in a small place, but also because of the succession of the tombs which are placed everywhere.

Tickets for tours can be purchased inside the old town hall. The tour includes access to view the mechanism inside of the clock as well as the underground rooms beneath the town hall and is well worth the money. This is the only way to go into the underground rooms, which are fairly interesting to see. You can buy tickets on the third floor but may need to come back another day for your tour, as they book up quite quickly.
Below the statue you can see a memorial devoted to Jan Palace and Jan Zajic, victims of communism, who martyred themselves in 1969 in protest of soviet invasion

It was a solemn pilgrimage for me to visit the Jan Palach and Jan Zajic memorials in Prague's famous Wenceslas Square, particularly a flame warped bronze cross embedded in the cobblestones symbolically marking the tragic act of self immolation. Hauntingly that single event in 1969 followed by other protest actions against the oppressive effects of foreign totalitarian occupation resonates powerfully down through time to the present day. Indeed yet another malovelent regeme from that part of Europe which originally compromised Czech freedom, now attempts to enslave the independent sovereign nation of Ukraine!
Small but good exposition
Definitely without a doubt our favorite place in Prague, looks a bit unreal even , it is so creepy special and beautiful.
When we were here there was little bit of fog just like in some kind of a horror movie.
We could have spent here a lot of hours looking and photographing but we bought the combined ticket for all the Jewish places so we had to carry on.
It is not allowed to walk near the graves and tombstones just along the path that goes around and a bit inside.
This was an amazing insight to the astronomical clock and the old town square. The main attractions were the law courts and then the ancient city that is underground. Due to water rising and floods everybody raised there house a level up making their old home their basement and this is all over the whole city of Prague. So there are many old ancient buildings in existence underground. This is well worth a visit and see how people lived in the medieval times

Well preserved cemetery with hundreds of tombstones surrounded by relatively modern buildings. You get to go around the Graves and if you familiar with the language you will be able to read some of the words written on the Graves.
Although this is not the cheapest site seeing in Prague, this consider to be one of the "must see" when you visit Prague, and especially if you're in the Old Town.

Definitely worth a visit while in Prague. While a bit overpriced, still a must-see at least once in your life. Lots of thought provoking history in this area.
This memorial on Wenceslas Square is a memorial to Jan Palach and Jan Zajíc, two students who protested against the then communist government. The memorial features I think polished granite granite, engraved with portraits of the two. Around the memorial are flowers and tributes.

A nice tribute in a prominent location. The memorial is simple, but plus one for the sentiments.

Nice place to visit if you can stand in closed spaces.
Beautiful cemetery with old grave stones and surrounding buildings in a park setup. We had the pack that gives you access to it as well as several museum and synagogues of the Jewish quarter and we really enjoyed it!
Beautiful, park like cemetery with old graves, beautiful statues, mausoleums right in the middle of the city. You won't even notice that a busy city life is going on right outside the walls of the cemetery. The cemetery is easy to reach by subway (red line), bus and tram. All of these stop at the flora shopping center and this is only a 2 minute walk away.
This is an interesting trip, I recommend trying; the entrance is at the basement of the town hall building. The underground can be visited only as part of a guided tour: the tour guide will give you a badge and will escort you through the cells telling you the story of the old town undergrounds.

The underground can only be done as part of a guided tour. It has a very long and interesting history. It's a lot of fun. Don't forget to do this.
Very nice
Historic... Amazing.
We visited the Jewish Cemetery independent of a guide as part of our self-guided tour of the Jewish Quarter in Prague. While we preferred the freedom of not having a guide, we were a little sad we didn't have one, as we wanted to learn more during our visit to the cemetery. The Cemetery is beautiful and moving, and a must-see site. However, there is no brochure or signs or anything to help give history of context as you are moving through. So either bring a guide or bring a guidebook, if that matters to you. That being said - a very worthy and beautiful place to visit. So quiet and serene (except the occasional less-than-respectful tour group). Note: entrance is included as part of the "Jewish Museum" ticket - you cannot pay to enter just this site. It is 500 czk for entrance to all the sites.
