For the price range we expected so much more quality and more service. Overall the whole place felt like an over clichéd version of a simple brasserie in suburban Paris coupled with untrained old waiters and high prices. The food was mediocre at best, the waiter wasn’t capable of making food recommendations, was pouring wine over our plates into our glasses and openly asked us for a higher tip at the end. Either I have been living in France for too long to find this place remotely acceptable or I have not been living in Frankfurt for long enough to develop the necessary sense of open-mindedness to just accept anything. Long story short: take a train / book a flight to Paris and go to the cheapest brasserie, you’ll have better value for money.
This can easily be my favorite restaurant in Frankfurt. Great food selection, superb wine and champagne selection. The service is class and attentive. The atmosphere is just amazing and can be a spot for either a date, a meeting or just a normal gathering.
It was indeed an excellent menu. Taste, portions and look of the dishes stunned always.
Die Brasserie TORTUE ist immer eine gute Wahl. Auch für längere Business Lunches am Nachmittag. Mit direktem Blick in die Küche auf das voll konzentriere Team bei der Arbeit wurde schnell klar, heute wird es wieder sicher sehr lecker werden. Zwiebelsuppe und Tartar waren optisch und geschmacklich super, auch ein extra Salatwunsch wurde kreativ bedient. Der leichte Chardonnay aus dem Valley rundete das Erlebnis der Superlative gut ab. Steak und Pfeffersauce und die Pasta mit Trüffeln konnten vollumfänglich gefallen. Das sehr kinderfreundliche Team beschäftigte nebenbei auch noch 3 Kinder vom Nachbartisch mit einem Mini Kochkurs.
Die Creme Brulee zum Schluss bildete einen Guten Abschluss. Spitzengastronomie at its best zum Anfassen und Genießen.

Beautiful Art-deco style restaurant with a pleasant elegant atmosphere. We had the blackpudding dish and Steak-Frites, both very good, also the escargot! :)

Vegan Set menu was great, a bit surprised that there was no vegetarian set menu, i prefer to have more protein in the dishes. Great service and good dining experience.
We started off with the French onion soup. Hands down, this is the best French onion soup I have ever had.
Second course was deviled eggs with caviar. This was also really great and very tasteful.
The main course was the house special; duck. For this being the house special, I expected a little more on that. That’s the reason why the food rating is a 4 star otherwise it would have been a 5 star all the way through.

Wir haben einen sehr schönen Abend in der Brasserie des Tortue verbracht. Essen und Service sind top! Einen Punkt Abzug gibt es für die sehr teure Flasche San Pellegrino für 12€…. Das muss nicht sein und steht in keinem Verhältnis.

I visited here for the first time last night and have to admit it was a great experience. Service was quick friendly and professional.
Food comes out really quick both appetiser and the main course. It was fresh and delicious except the lobsters that have no taste at all and I find that a pity and that’s why I can only give 4 stars, compare to the price I expected more. We were happy though with the rest and also the dessert.
Price range is a bit higher than anywhere else but definitely would love to come back and try other dishes they offer.
The toilet was way too dark and could be cleaner.
Overall was a good experience and we had a wonderful evening together.

Wir hatten einen wirklich tollen Abend. Der Service war super! Sehr aufmerksam und schnell. Meine Begleitung isst öfter in der Brasserie und unser Kellner hat sich an ihn erinnert.
Das Essen war auch hervorragend!!! Wir hatten unter anderem die Seezunge und zum Nachtisch den Rumtopf. Himmlisch.

Extremely satisfied with the welcoming atmosphere of the Brasserie. Employees recommendation for food and service were impeccable. Definitely a restaurant for an experience rather than only dinner.
We really loved our dinner there tonight, as the food and atmosphere were really good. Our server was very nice but not really attentive after serving us our main course. She completely disappeared and never checked bag on us for over half an hour.
My wife had the seafood bouillabaise, which was delicious, and I went more traditional with the blood sausage, which I thought was spectacular! We loved our meal tonight, but the service was very cold and and fell flat as the meal went on.

Sehr nettes Ambiente, hohe Decken, legere Tischverteilung, klasse Service. Jakobsmuscheln und bretonischer Heilbutt waren ganz ausgezeichnet, Portionen nicht zu klein, ausgezeichnete Weinkarte mit Roero Arneis - ein leckerer Abend! Tolle Empfehlung! Im Hof gibt es bei Bedarf sogar direkt Parkplätze des Restaurants- rundum perfekt!

An authentic French Brasserie just off the Gendarmenmarkt with white table cloths, crisp professional service and a tight menu with all the classics from steak fritz, salad Nicosia, mushroom cream soup to Bouillabaisse. A full bar makes the atmosphere less stuffy. We had a great date night here and would go back.

My favorite restaurant in Frankfurt so far. You want a tasty dinner in a nice atmosphere this is a place for you. Prices are quite high, but these amazing oysters and tartar worth paying. Would come back soon.
I like salt in my food. In fact my doctor is constantly telling me how much I should avoid it so what was my surprise when the pasta I got here had so much of it that it made ME want to vomit.
The environment is nice but if you arrive early be prepared that the staff will be loudly chatting and setting tables up (despite the restaurant being open for business) while you are dining. How this is allowed in the restaurant of a 5* hotel is beyond me.

Happy atmosphere created by the waiter. The food is just amazing! Only things to improve are the bread will be good if it’s warmer and softer, and oysters can be more plump, still taste good though

Leider etwas zu wenig Personal. Wir mussten immer ein wenig warten. Das hat das sehr gute Personal aber durch seine Freundlichkeit wieder gut gemacht. Andere Restaurants haben ja auch mit Personalmangel zu kämpfen. Wir fühlten uns alles in allem sehr wohl.

We spent à great evening with our team. The Maître d'hôtel was very kind and took the time to explain us the plates. Such à lovely expérience! THANK YOU very much to the staff. The plates were delicious, especially the desserts (crème brulee and sweet potatoe brownie) ♡ to sum up, I highly récemment this place!
Fair enough for prices and quality, more than a good cafe shops in the area. If you need a breakfast, for €16,90 you have a boufet!

Sehr Leckeres Essen. Service ist sehr aufmerksam wenn nicht viel Los ist, allerdings etwas dünn besetzt und sobald ein bisschen mehr los ist verliert er schnell den Überblick.
Nice atmospheric restaurant in Bielefeld Altstadt. Went with a group of 6 and were accommodated without reservation on a Saturday evening. Food took a long time (25 mins for a starter, a cup of soup) even though there were not a lot of other tables eating, but very good quality food so well worth the wait. Staff are friendly. The menu is varied and not your standard food in German restaurants.
After finding ourselves having to stay a night in Munich because of a cancelled flight, we found this lovely French bistrot to spend an unexpected evening in Munich.
The food was fantastic, the service was friendly, personable and warm, and we had a great chat with both the waiter and the owner.

The place is quite OK. Service is OK too, but attitudes depends on the individual server. Atmosphere is,reserved, abd cold. Good place for business meetings. Has a very nice terrace at Steinerberger Hof hotel.

Ich kann das Restaurant, das liebe Personal und die tolle Küche nur loben! Ich dachte in der französischen Küche nicht sonderlich fündig zu werden aber nachdem ich in Paris ein Steak mit Pommes und einer Kräuterbutter aß, hatte ich es mir zu meiner Mission gemacht etwas ähnliches, wenn nicht gleiches, auch in Berlin zu finden. Auf Wunsch wurde die Kräuterbutter geschmolzen und seitdem kommen wir öfters hier vorbei und verzehren wiederholt das Gericht. In der Dessert und Weinkarte wird jeder etwas für seinen Geschmack finden. Die Einrichtung ist wundervoll und hier macht es besonders zu den Abendstunden Spaß zu sitzen. Absolute Empfehlung!

Take it from a French, this is a very good and genuine french restaurant. Simple menu but prepared to the highest standards. Table wine was very pleasant.
Not a proper value for such high prices. Dishes are tiny. Most salads, sashimi, tartar are of average quality one can find around but for 2-3 times cheaper. The ordered was 200 ml glass of wine but in fact the actual volume poured into glass badly reached 120-130 ml. Billed 200 ml glass of wine price for 100 ml glass of wine actually served.

Great food and good ambiance. The wine selection is quite extensive, and the food can be universally recommended. The beef bourgineon was very well made, and the pulpo grilled to perfection. The mash served with the pulpo had a slightly too strong truffle aroma for my taste.
Though I wonder about the set menus, we each had a starter, a main and a drink, and were really full from that, all for about 100€ in total.

Really delicious food in the center of Munich, the quality and freshness of food is fantastic, it’s just a bit too expensive to dine there.
Belmondo is probably my favourite French restaurant in Berlin. Very friendly staff and amazing dishes. Every single dish was so yummy. I'd certainly come back again

Service was very welcoming, friendly and easygoing. We felt at home right away. Food was delicious. Well combined ingredients, quality handwork and a lot of attention to detail. Classic french brasserie kitchen in a modern guise. The atmosphere is inviting, relaxing and classy. We will be back soon!
The dining room is a little quirky but the food was superb, beautiful and unique. We did the tasting menu. Service was excellent as well. I would highly recommend for a fancy date night.
Eine hübsche Brasserie am Kurfürstendamm. Die Speisenauswahl ist sehr authentisch, die Gerichte werden sehr schön angerichtet. Das Steak Tatar war wunderbar angemacht, die Sauce Bernaise war toll. Leider waren die Pommes Allumettes sehr fettig und recht dunkel und die Crème Brûlée war leider etwas flockig und nicht schön cremig.
Der Service könnte etwas aufmerksamer sein, aber alles in allem hatten wir einen netten französischen Abend. Wir kommen wieder.

Me and my husband went for dinner at this restaurant. I ordered chicken, he ordered steak. The steak was supposed to be medium and was served well done. After mentioning it to the waiter he went to the kitchen and came back saying that the chef told him that is how is supposed to be. Very disappointing response. Overall the food is overpriced for what you get. Wouldn’t come back for food, the drinks looked decent.

Delicious, particularly the smoky grilled fish. The main courses were stunning, with the lamb chops so tender it was almost like biting into tofu. We will definitely be back!

Products are of good quality, well cooked and served. Flavours could be a little more subtle and the deep bowl crème brûlée was maybe not an ideal choice.

Except that the chairs could be a bit more comfy and napkins a bit more luxurious (aligned with the vibe of the restaurant) everything else was impeccable.

Great restaurant, great service, excellent food. Fresh, plump oysters; great fried foix gras appetizer; amazing French onion soup; perfectly cooked fillet mignon and delicious king prawn tagliatelle. Everything, including the dessert and cocktails, was spot on. The waiter was extremely helpful, especially when it came to food/wine pairing - really nailed it. Not a cheap restaurant but worth it, considering the quality of food and service.
It is quite a busy place. It took the waiter about 20 minutes to come to my table to take my order. Although it was during breakfast times where they only have to bring drinks to the table because the guests pick up their food from the buffet.

Came her for valentines day and had a wonderful dinner. The truffle butter is delicious, and the service was fantastic. We got the turbot and the filet, both cooked to perfection and tasted great. We got the caramel brulee and another dessert to top it off; wasn’t a fan of either.
This place was very packed, and rightfully so. Would definitely come back!

Very good gastronomic restaurant with a modern and cosy atmosphere. The staff is nice, relaxed and very professional. You feel welcomed.

A chilly night in Berlin(it is December), we found ourselves gazing into the welcoming warm interior of Brasserie Am Gendarmenmarkt, and we were actually seated immediately. As much as English is spoken in Berlin, it is still a moment when a server, or store person has that, ”switch language”, moment. I can make myself understood, with long pauses as my brain translates, and the situation works out. There is nothing quite as enjoyable as shedding layers of winter coats and scarves and feeling the warmth coming from the room, along with the amazing smells of well prepared food. And we were taken with both. No hurry, the wild mushroom soup was warming and so tasty, each spoonful kept the flavors of the previous taste. The steak frites was perfection in medium rare, with herbed butter melting slowly down the sides. The frites were thick but light with just enough crunch.
The staff is professional and smiling and wished us a good evening as we left.

Our server was helpful and knew how to attend to all tables while having multiple open tables. Julian I think was his name! The food was pretty good. We got 4 steaks, 1 burger, 1 bottle of wine, 1 cocktail, 3 bottles or water and 3 desserts. Total came out to 330ish€

The food and service quality of this restaurant/brasserie is very high. I have been eating here three times in a row, as a Steinberger Hotel's guest, and have experienced different plates from the menu. I strongly recommend people visiting Frankfurt to dine here.
Compared to other EU countries, Germany is not our favourite place for dining. However, this restourant was a pleasant surprise. Steak was medium as requested and tasted very good, pommes also excellent. Service was also very good. Will visit again for sure.
An amazing French restaurant! The staff is very friendly and helpful. The service is fast and the dishes are exceptionally delicious! The quality of the food is really good. We got 1 appetizer, 2 main dishes and 1 desert, all of them were extremely tasty. Highly recommend!!

The food, the service, the staff, the ambience - all of those are perfect. We tried a few dishes from the a la carte menu and a set menu. None disappointed.
Even though there isn’t a set wine pairing for the menu, we were recommended wines for each dish. And what a recommendation it was!
We will be back - again and again, because this felt homey.

We loved the interior, the ambience and high level service. The pickles on the table are yummy and the fact that you get the pickle glass to go in a bag is a nice touch.
We loved most of the food (with mmmm effect), but did not enjoy pulpo (yuzu taste was just unpleasantly intense and you don’t taste much of the pulpo) and monkfish cheeks. The aperitif French75 did not impress us.

We were a group of 10 for lunch. The food was fabulous, creative and perfectly done. The wine list is extensive with many good options and Omoh the waiter was charming and had great recommendations. Don't skip the sweetbreads. One of the best dishes I had. The tornado Rossini was also amazing.
Ordered their Schoko bowl and Ratatouille! Simply dèlicieux!
Just recently I visited this french inspired restaurant, which is mentioned in the Michelin Guide, for dinner. The service was polite and attentive from the beginning to the end! After I took a seat they offered some bread with butter and a glass of cornichons. Only the butter was a bit too hard and not really spreadable. But maybe I was just unlucky. Nevertheless the vegetarian food I ordered was excellent in taste! I had yellow beets accompanied by some mango, endive and french goat cheese. Then I had the salad Colette, which came with a spicy dressing. It contained some green salad as well as some marinated vegetables. As I main I decided to order gnocchi Paris style with peas and peaches, which I enjoyed pretty much. As a dessert I had a filling crème brûlée made of pistachios and topped with some ice cream and limes. As far as I know they don’t offer a multi-course meal without meat and fish, which I would prefer as a vegetarian. But all in all I have to say, that I enjoyed the food and that I would return! In my opinion prices were ok for what they offer.
Very delicious, authentic French food in Munich. The meat is very nicely cooked. The wine selection is great. I enjoyed the raw oysters, snails and mussels and fries very much. The dessert is amazing! Service was also very friendly and attentive. Would come back again to try their steak tartare!
Quiet place, good ambience and carefully presented dishes. The food, however, left us underwhelmed. Everything was okay but not more. Which is a pity as the wine was tasty and the service was very friendly.
Another excellent French restaurant in the heart of Berlin, the atmosphere is very cozy and extremely friendly staff. Both the fish and fillet were exquisite. Their desserts are also exceptional. Highly recommended.
I’ve been to the brasserie on the ground floor. Food was excellent, the best boeuf bourguignon I ever had 👌🏻 wine was good but nothing crazy though! The cheesecake nice idea, but 15€ for the small cake is completely overrated. I enjoyed my lunch, the atmosphere and the service, but small details left me perplexe 😅
my wife, my dog and I (4.6million Google maps review views) had dinner here to celebrate my wife's birthday. Price wise, it's not cheap but reasonable to me. We have a mixed feeling but probably won't come again.
The Goods
- atmosphere is good, cozy and with enough spacing between tables (a bit too dark to read the menu, but it's fine. That's part of the atmosphere)
- staffs looks professional
- good selection of wine (we ordered a bottle of chateau la du pape and 2 glasses of champagne for oysters, but when I look at the bottle, I haven't 100% confirm whether it's really from champagne region or just normal sparkling wine)
- very good wine glasses (Zwiesel 1872 handmade crystal glasses)
- food is quite decent (except the oysters were disaster)
- English friendly (although we speak German, we prefer English more)
- dog friendly and they served a bowl of fresh water to my dog, and they arranged a corner table such that my dog can rest calmly
- most french restaurants close on both Sat and Sun. This one opens on Sunday as well and even 3rd Oct the public holiday!!
The Bads
- oysters was a complete disaster. I know all the oyster breeds on menu, and I live by the ocean for 30+ years). 3 out of 6 were underdeveloped (just gills, and the body is thin as skin, able to see through). The staffs explained to us that the breed is "supposed" to like this (what an answer!) And maybe they think we are Asian to know nothing about western food?
- after the oysters, the waitress asked us what main course to get. She got my order, and left (my wife has NOT ordered!!!) It was so weird that I thought she was going to come back or something. But after 10 mins and my first glass of wine, nothing happened. I queried the manager (or a more senior staff, by outlook). After checking, she found that her colleague just took the same dish twice for both of us. She did asked whether we need to order another dish, and my wife said if the dish was starting to be prepared, then just serve it and not to waste the food. But weirdest of all, without any further communication, the dish was already served after 5-10 mins. Fortunately, it tasted good.
- the desert did taste good. My wife was asked for comments. Once my wife finished the first sentence (definitely there were something more to say), the waitress just walked away like we already finished talking. I was like "why bother to ask if you dont really want to listen"
Probably won't come here again.

Everything is ok except for the reception service, impolite and no smiles during the whole service, the worst thing is leading us to outside seats and reserved better seats with better scenery for local customers. If such level of service happened in other German restaurants, I will absolutely acceptable and totally take for granted "Ach so"~However, it is untitled "Michelin Restaurant". In other Michelin Restaurant located in Paris, in Luxembourg, In Zurich, frankly speaking, I never met such situation before.
Went there for a birthday dinner with 10 people. The staff was very friendly. The food was good and it was an overall good experience. It is a higher end restaurant so it is a bit pricey but the food is good. I would go back again. With a large group they gave us menu options with options of one of two starters, one of two mains and a dessert.
We had an amazing evening here. The place has a French Bistro experience and very modern and classy decor. What was added along with the delicious food was was the amazing customer service of all the female staff. They were so accommodating and welcoming that they made our dining experience awesome! They have a nice selection of French wines to pair with your dishes. Finish you meal with the chocolate mousse and you will definitely thank me. I recommend reserving ahead. I highly recommend this place for a nice cozy dinner with your special one.

I've been to their Michelin restaurant Francais, which was sadly closed on a Sunday. Thus I was referred to Oscars, which is spacious and has nice upscale decorations.
While the food and ambiance is excellent, our middle aged male waiter had very poor service. He seemed very impatient and aloof. The young female waiter on the other hand was very upbeat and friendly, bringing my rating back up to 4/5 stars.
Overall great place for a long meal with good eats and atmosphere.

We went to Brasserie Colette for lunch. The service was very good and the restaurant is very nicely decorated.
For starters we got the scallops which we really well prepared and we enjoyed them a lot. For the main I got the veal cheeks. The meat was wonderfully cooked and was really tender. It comes on a waffle and with the sauce the food really goes well together. My wife had the coq au vin which I tested and it was also really good and was served with fantastic mash potatoes.
For dessert we had a brownie and a crème brulé which were the perfect end to lunch.
While lunch was a little bit expensive it was worth the money. We will go back again for sure.

All I can say after being in this restaurant is.. WOW. Such a great experience! As a French, I didn't really expected a "high level fine food" quality. I was literally blown away by the dishes, though. Every single dish had a fancy presentation, the fish and meat are perfectly cooked.

Some of us ordered a juice (Apple and Riesling-grapefruit juice were the most impressive ones).
Everything was wonderful. We will definitely go back again !

We had lunch at the restaurant upstairs. My menu contained three courses, a soup, the main course and dessert. All of them were high quality, so I'd have them again many times. Wine selection was also pretty good, perfect to combine with the courses. Waiter recommended us different wines related to our menu. Service is fine, simply correct, I think a few people of the staff could improve. The location is great although the venue is not very remarkable, just simple. A bit overpriced.
