No photos of art allowed here. I got to see works from Raphael and other Spanish greats. During this time, there was a burst from Picasso also on display. THOUSANDS of paintings to browse! I definitely recommend to get skip the line tickets unless you don’t mind hours of waiting outside. I got the tickets from the official website but needed to download Headout app to use. Very User friendly app. The audio guide isn’t a great experience but works.
Casa Amatller is the work of the architect Casa Amatller is a Medernist building. It is the work of the architect Josep Puig i Cadafalch.. It is close to Gaudi's Pedrari and Batlio houses. It definitely deserves attention and viewing.
Beautiful palace. We spent just under an hour looking around.

great and enormous art collection. one of the best museums in the world. i recommend having the tickets bought to enter without lines. the visit time is minimum 2/3 hours. important: no photos allowed inside the museum
Interesting urban archaeological site with an important piece of Roman road and sarcophagi which stood as symbols of social significance of local families. The site witnesses both the historical importance of Barcelona as well as its contemporary tendency to preserve and present its historical layers. Do not expect an amusement park here, but admire the fact that the city has opened up its square in the middle of a very dense neighbourhood to show its 2000-year old history.

Definitely the best experience for culture and art in Bilbao. Even though we took young children it was entertaining enough for everybody with famous artists and exhibitions that make you think, reading books for the young ones, and audio descriptions for older ones! Everything is beautiful inside and out.
Ended up being my favourite part of Madrid.
• Price - decided to go during the free visiting hours @6:30pm; @6pm huge line - but moved fast, and by 6:40 no longer a line. After visiting - would have happily paid the €15
• Quality - astounding. Many thought- & emotional-provoking pieces (Aesop fable interpretations, the six-year girl presented that Spanish court commissioned 2x paintings, the birth of the Milky Way). I missed the Mona Lisa (draft!) but saw so many other brilliant pieces.
• Timing - could have easily spent 3 hrs. Ended having to leave at 8pm (a bell was rung & we were all ushered out; a shame as I wished I could have visited the museum store)
No photos allowed - I wish I could have shared some!
Would definitely go back.

One of my favorite museums in Europe and definitely Madrid. I love the layout and it’s not tooo crazy packed with people or art. The temporary exhibits are usually one of a kind and the first showing of art to the world audience. So nice and peaceful too. The cafe has a nice spread and good pours on the museum labeled wines.( also a good souvenir to take home).

Ticket office and real entrance are different. So I recommend you buy tickets in advance. Then you don’t need to wait in the ticket queue. There are many Francisco Goya’s work. Audio guide is €5. It was super helpful. They suggested 1 hour, 2 hours, 3 hours and fully tour courses. I really enjoyed it.!

This museum is awesome! The exhibitions were great, but only the building itself is worth the visit, outside and inside. The staff was also kind, and the museum was full (August holiday time), so it is good to buy tickets in advance, directly in their website.
Beautiful building and premises. Definitely worth seeing from outside. Unfortunately we were not big fans of the exposition inside. Way too expensive for what you get to see. If you’re not a fan of weird art and doubting to go, don’t do it.

It is one of the most famous monuments of Islamic architecture and one of the best-preserved palaces of the historic Islamic world, in addition to containing notable examples of Spanish Renaissance architecture. Well preserved . Take tickets in advance and for Nasrid palace , you can only enter at the fixed time selected by you. But do not miss this part . It’s worth visiting and very beautiful.
Modern and abstract art. Not my cup of tea really. Some of the art installations were so good, they were breathtaking. Some were simply confusing, and others were so bad that I could've done better with one hand tied behind my back and a blindfold on while hopping on one leg and eating an ice cream. Worth visiting for sure, but unless you're into your existentialism, and into finding inspiration where clearly none exists, then you'll struggle to have a four or five star experience here. 3.5 stars, no more. Probably five stars if you like modern and abstract. I don't.

A Place Of Pure History It's Like Going Back In Time. You Need A Good Entire Day To Do All The Palaces. Highly Recommended To Do All Of The Palaces. Buy tickets in advance also don't forget you must bring your passport as evidence to get in.
This museum is great. It's large and well laid out. It feels like great value. We spent a good couple of hours there, and there was still a lot to see.
The temporary exhibition on the occult was perhaps one of my favourite ever. It had a huge variety of very well renowned artists. The themes were well explored, and it was brilliantly laid out.

Unique experience, both art and architecture. Worth visiting and spending a few hours to explore. Part of the exhibition is outside so having a good weather would be nice. Lower rating as the Gift shop is extremely overpriced, you can barely find any item that is less than 20 euro.
This evening I dedicated to Sorolla exebition and Fine art museum. That is perfect place who searching for positive art emotions. I'm fond of thematic and painting colors. Recommend as one of the best places in Valencia these days.

Un museo que sin lugar a dudas hay que visitar. Ahora también con una exposición de obras de Sorolla de la Fundación Cristina Masaveu Peterson, esta exposición está durante un tiempo cedida por la Fundación y cuenta con una representación de la obra de Sorolla muy interesante. La entrada al museo es gratuita.
The Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao is absolutely exceptional. From its exquisite architecture to it extraordinary exhibits, it's simply a must-see attraction that anyone and everyone who has the opportunity should visit. I loved every minute and look forward to the new things I'll find next time that I visit it.
Bring extra clothes and towels In case you get wet from the shows ! I did 🤣 by sitting close but was upsetting to see the little ones cry.
Amazing experience. Visit and walking around the gigantic museum, experiencing all the shades and reflections depending on the weather of Bilbao is an experience. As well as visiting the different exhibitions continuously researched by the Museum. The ground floor with the steel curves from Serra is a must see, no space could better fit the dynamics of the art.
This review is around their cafe which they have next to the actual site itself. Their hot chocolate is the best hot chocolate I have ever had. I would recommend to get it with whipped cream to balance the extremely rich chocolate. They offer bread to dip in it as well.
There is also a small shop where you can buy chocolate gifts which are reasonably priced.

Amazing museum with large permanent exhibitions covering religious art, painting & sculpture. Great collection of local artists displayed chronologically.
I was lucky to meet an incredible temporary exhibition of famously known Valencian artist Sorolla which was extraordinary.
The museum is free which is so generous and the facilities are great with many bathrooms and handicap access. The only downside for me was that you need to leave your bag and water in a locker that works with only works with euro coins (which is given back). That’s a headache If you don’t bring any cash which is not that uncommon nowadays.

what a masterpiece building ! amazing on the outside and inside, the tour in the museum took us approximately 1.5 hour to see pretty much everything, we had no much time so we were on a rush. no cue when we went to buy tickets. if you visit Bilbao even for a few hours -like us- visit it! worth it 100%
Had a wonderful time at Prado Museum. Everything is orderly, we entered on time. Recommend purchasing tickets online for seamless experience. The museum itself is extremely well-maintained. It felt great walking the tall halls and admiring art across hundreds of years. My absolute favourite piece was the Garden of Earthly Delights. Mesmerized by it.
It's nice to see these old ruins but it's very small. Not much to do here

Very interesting, what a refreshing change to see lots of modern as well as historic art from the Masters and a limited number of religious paintings. You could lose yourself here for 2 hours easily. There is a free cloakroom where they ask you to leave large bags. Toilets on every floor and a lift or lots of steps. A small gift shop which has nice if expensive products.
We had dry weather, so unfortunately we had no water in the fountains so that was a bit sad. There were a lot of cool rooms and gardens. I would recommend to visit it on a day which is 30 degrees or cooler, cause with 38 degrees you can't walk in the gardens without getting sunburned in 10min. Lot of cool features like the replica carpets which tell a cool story. If you pay 7 euro for the student ticket. It's worth it. Not the standard 15 euros.
A very lovely place to visit. History, architecture and beautiful gardens. Plan to spend 4-6 hours to manage seeing what it has to offer. Audio guide in many languages are available for 6€. Drink water is available in various spots. Walking paths were well marked and easy to follow. The ticket price for a complete visit costs 18€ per person.
A must see when in Granada. Fantastic site with so much history and breathtaking architecture / gardens. Very serene atmosphere and amazing views of the city and mountains when you get up into the Palace/Fortress. Parking was easy. Would recommend booking tickets in advance as there are a limited amount per day.
I would recommend getting there early in the morning to avoid the afternoon sun / other visitors as it does get very busy. We opted for audio guide tickets (using an app/website) - cut in and out a bit but that was due to our network but overall very insightful.

The building showcases a pleasant blend of architecture with a lot of elements and decorations. But for us was a bit disappointing the garden was normal considering the other gardens we have seen in Seville and the second floor was closed for the time we were there leaving little to explore and see. It didn't feel worth the time and money invested. I other places we were able to get students tickets but here there is no option for that.
So my suggestion will be to make it your last station after visiting the other places.

This is a great museum. The staff were pleasant, the collection was voluminous, and it's beautifully-displayed. Top it off it's free. No complaints. Went with my wife and two kids who are young. We really enjoyed it.
An incredible museum with works ranging over hundreds of years. While it is open for free on Monday the special exhibits are not available during this free entry time. I found it worth the cost to be able to go to the special exhibit also. In May 2023, when I went, the special exhibit was Lucian Freud. The permanent collection is extensive and contains several excellent works from Spain and around the world.
Truly beautiful with water gardens, fountains, courtyards, mosaics and stunning architecture. Incredibly well preserved and accessible albeit located on a hill so quite physically challenging for those with disabilities. parking is locally available and close to the site and the guided tours are well worth considering as there is so much history. Takes a minimum of 3-4 hours to enjoy fully so plan a full day and enjoy some lunch break in-between. Mid summer can be very hot and there is limited shade so be sure to use sunblock and consider taking a parasol.
Amazing private collection of art, almost 800 pieces! Also currently the only major art museum in Madrid that has free hours for more than 2 hours: 12-4pm on Sundays (line was 15 minutes). Great collection of ancient and medieval Christian art, Dutch masters, Spanish painters - and 20th century European and American art movements, including some very contemporary pieces. You could spend all day in here - but it's not overwhelming or overcrowded like the Prado or Reina Sofia. Don't miss it!

Quite beautiful gardens and impressive buildings. In summer it can be extremely hot due to the hot stone everywhere. We measured over 40 Celsius.
The place itself was great, but because of its age it is a very well presented ruin in many areas. After two hours of climbing towers and several other buildings, we paid our dues to the sun god and moved to an air-conditioned venue in the old part of the city.
However, I'll be back in autumn or spring sometime to complete the course.

I liked here better than the Alcazar. Very peaceful and extremely beautiful gardens. We did not take the tour to the upper floor as we had to pay 5 euros more and also had to wait for the tour to start. But walking in the gardens and spaces alone was an extremely unbeatable experience. The only problem was their online ticket system. We had to buy the tickets on site, which was no problem at all. Highly recommended.

Not bad for a free museum, i think so or quite low price but we were looking at the pictures and that’s it, no real guidance though. The pictures were quite nice, some of them, painted by the local artists, the best ones. But we were visitors and not so into arts so we did not so much about the whole history behind the pictures and in the end was a nice walk.
One of the best art museums I've ever visited. Such a wide variety of paintings from eras, countries, artists. Amazing temporary exhibitions too. Highly recommended - much better than the Prado and Reina Sofia museums!

It is a nice building with typical Italian architecture with Mudejar elements and decorations. But what we didn't like it was that the garden and the second floor was closed and there were much to see. Not worthy the time and money.
Interesting, but quite limited as exhibits. Also with an incomplete representation of the regions of the globe, even the continents. I expected much more than ethnographic exhibits, to better understand anthropology.
I was there on a Monday when they have free entry, a wonderful place, one of the warmest and most welcoming places in Madrid. although I spent 3 hours there, I'm sorry I couldn't stay longer because it closed, but I'll definitely come back. you are allowed to take pictures, I mention it because you are not allowed in all places. the map is downloaded on the phone. they have some works from some representative artists of the periods in the history of art, but wonderful works! a wonderful place, I recommend it
This is a nice small museum celebrating culture, religion and life worlds in Asia, Africa and the Americas, and how they were affected during European occupation. There are some really interesting artefacts - I liked the musical instruments, textiles and models of gods and religious figures. This part of Spanish history isn't often covered extensively in other museums - history buffs will definitely enjoy it.
Good place to visit if you have some spare time. This is a free of charge exhibit. There are several floors, mostly paintings, but also some cool sculptures. Depending on when you visit, they also have some featured artist and their works.
No doubt a good collection of art but greatly lacking helpful signage. No floor plan available, not even one to photograph, few direction signs. Rather unfriendly and unhelpful staff at reception

This review is solely re: their hot chocolate - not the museum itself. I will say, this is the most delicious, decadent hot chocolate I’ve ever had. It’s almost like fondue in a cup. They offer bread to dip as well. It was very rich so I wasn’t able to finish it but it’s definitely worth a try.
Lovely museum. Not very crowded when we went. Not too big, with handicap accessible areas throughout. It's free admission, but you must get a ticket at the front desk, upon entry.
Thank you for providing a special day for a group of children with special needs, an annual holiday for children. Always a great day for many years.
Beautiful place and really worth visiting. We only saw the ground floor, but that alone was beautiful and well maintained. It is wonderful how beautifully everything is carved and the tiles are painted! You pay €10 per person (adults), which you can buy at the counter or via a ticket machine.
This place is very easy to miss as it’s tucked inside the Casa Amatalia building. It’s worth seeking out and is my favourite place for coffee in Barcelona. Lots of freshly squeezed juices and healthy products on offer and reasonable prices. You get to sit and enjoy your refreshments in interesting and the lovely surroundings of Casa Amatalia a house owned by afamily dedicated to the Chocolate industry.

Well curated and interesting museum featuring exhibitions from three different continents. In each exhibit case different topical items are displayed alongside a text box, which contains additional information about some of the items and their use and history. The experience in the museum was very good, however, I initially thought the museum would be much larger and was slightly disappointed that it only took about an hour to see everything. Also, the entry is free for students.
We had a wonderful time here. They have a huge permanent collection. Plus we enjoyed seeing 2 of the temporary exhibits. The Ukrainian show was quite impressive. By chance, we went on one of the free days, the line was incredibly long, but moved incredibly fast and we had no problem getting in. The staff was very nice. Well worth the visit

Simple and interesting.
It is the Battló house next door. It is a great place to visit. All the furniture are original and you can live the past time through an audio guide explaining the rooms you visit. There is a chocolate café in the ground floor which was part of the house.

Nice museum spread over three floors with friendly staff and just a €3 entry fee. Nicely laid out but the content is quite basic. The exhibits are just informative generally. This is a high school level exhibition really but good enough to pass away an hour or so.

The Loro Parque and its porcelain museum is a must-see when in Puerto de la Cruz!
We have spent many beautiful hours wandering around the park, visiting our favourite birds, animals, and ocean dwellers. It is always a new adventure.

Best museum in Valencia! The doors are usually closed so don’t be afraid and go in. The museum was free entry for us but I don’t know if that was because it was a weekend, however, I still believe it’s worth a visit! There’s a combination of holy paintings, Greco paintings, ceramics, historical paintings, etc. Its a huge museum that has everything you could desire and it has a stunning blue patio which is great for photos. You will be told to leave your belongings in a locker which costs €1 but it will give you the money back. If you don’t have any change, go to the reception as they will give you a coin for use.
Exquisitely maintained museum and house with many original pieces, did the 50 minute audio tour and learned a lot about the family and the property. Also got to try the chocolate at the end which was delicious.
Casa Amatller was not designed by Gaudí, but it is just unique and beautiful as any of his works. The exterior is memorable, and the inside is elegant. The museum tour is available, but you can always walk in at will to appreciate the gorgeous stained glass ceiling and eat some delicious chocolate sold on the first floor. You must include this house as a stop when visiting Casa Batlló.

I arrived this morning right at about 11am and was let in free. But the cost of €3 (read in another review below) is will worth your time to see the exhibits on display here.
Wow! Spain has definitely made their historical mark on the world. Ground floor is Asia (mostly Philippines). First floor is Africa. Second floor is Americas. This museum is a great reminder how much influence Spain has had throughout the years of history following their glory years of exploration and colonization.
You can probably get through this museum within an hour if you really rush. Two hours is more appropriate to see and appreciate everything. I went through in about 90 minutes or so and really feel enlightened by everything I saw and read.
I snapped some pictures, but they don't really do justice, so make sure you go if you can carve out time. It's well worth it.

Three floors of well put together exhibits. Almost everything was smallish and inside a case, so you don't feel up close. Small enough to not be exhausting. A good way to spend a couple of hours.
Perfect experience. The shows are lovely performances.

Not a ̂museum; just sculptures on the street; but what an experience to stumble upon great artists so unexpectedly.
Beautiful public museum in the hearts of Madrid city. You will see a public display of beautiful works of arts under a carefully architected city bridge. Amazing! Accessing the Paseo de la Castell Ana is easy by city metro and busses. You will see the works of Joan Miro and Eduardo Chillida.
We were only there for the animals
At first glance, it was just a few sculptures under a bridge, placed there through some well-intentioned yet ineffective city arts initiative. I walked past it many times without noticing it. However, my perspective changed when I was taken there by a local guide and art historian who could explain the museum as a whole and more about the individual pieces. More pieces are part of the museum than what meets the eye. I highly recommend it with the caveat that not everyone will get it and not everyone will enjoy it.
If you read up about the history, it's pretty fascinating. Do five minutes of research before you go and you will enjoy it so much more. It's really just an open air archaeology/heritage site now, so if you are into that, you won't regret this pretty plaza.
