La Poule au Pot isn't just a restaurant; it's a journey into the heart of Parisian culture, wrapped in an unforgettable culinary experience. There's an authenticity here that defies easy description. It's more than the sum of its parts – it's a feeling, an ambiance, a 'vibe' that you won't find anywhere else.

Dining here didn't feel like just eating out at a good restaurant; it felt like a cultural immersion, a way to experience the essence of Paris through all your senses. La Poule au Pot stands out not because it tries to be different, but because it embodies something timeless and genuine, something that can only be felt and is hard to put into words.

Note: We visited with our 1-year-old daughter and initially found the cozy setup a bit challenging to navigate. However, once we settled in, my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our time – and so did our daughter, who seemed to really like the food!

Amazing experience. We celebrated my fiancé's birthday. We ordered snails, frog legs, and duck served with olives. Chocolate profiteroles for desert. Everything was very tasty! We also liked the ambience and old French songs mixed with Sinatra ;)

Bilal and team made our daughter’s 21st birthday evening celebrations a memorable one! Fantastic food and lovely service! Highly recommend to anyone craving for some kebabs and authentic chicken dishes in the Paris area. And the cocktail Jawad is a masterpiece in itself!

Hard to think of a worse dining experience in my life, much less at a place with the prestige and reputation of Allard.

The lobster wrapped in chicken was decent but forgettable, but the chicken for two seemed to have nothing added to it and was quite dry. Certainly nothing special as you might expect. What was really appalling though was the portion of seasoned vegetables (separately ordered for $12!).

The list of service issues are too lengthy to mention.

Very bad experience. Google has said my prior review violated their policies so I have edited out most of the specific details. Just avoid.

High end restaurant at a great location with superb service. Prices are definitely not for those on a budget, with high end dishes on the menu. Unfortunately, good service does not replace or compensate for poor flavored food that lacks the authentic Indian spices and taste.
A nice place near touristy area but not a tourist trap. Very friendly staff. Good number of vegan options but you should make sure to tell them upfront - they cook their rice with buttter so make sure you be very explicit in all your orders.
When they brought rice with butter they were quick to make separate batch for us. Flavor profile is good, mild and perhaps we could have asked for more heat.
The apps were overpriced for the amount so I would say skip apps.
The friendly person there whom the rest of the staff addressed as “uncle” was very attentive and made us sit after we paid the bill to give us sweet port like drinks on the house

If it is cold and they give you the table next to the entrance it will be a nightmare. No heating and every time they pass - you will FEEL it! Just to narrow everything to squeez in tables.
Food was average, The quenelles? well go to gare de Lyon!

So my wife and I have been travelling across Europe for about 2 weeks now and after crossing the 10 day mark the Indian in us was screaming for some good home cooked meal. Now that we are in Paris we came across this place called “New Jawad” in Longchamp and decided to give it a try, we were lucky to have reached the place early during opening at 7PM coz boy a boy did the place get packed. If you plan on reaching this place around 8PM I highly recommend that you make a reservation.
We ordered the Butter Chicken a signature dish at the restaurant and it was simply wow
So creamy and delicious the taste still lingers on my tongue, decided to eat it with a kheema naan and a garlic naan and we absolutely loved it.
Also ordered the chicken biryani coz we were so hungry and totally skipped clicking it.
How could we skip dessert after a nice masaledar meal? We couldn’t do we had the signature Malai Kulfi and it was delectable.
If you are in Paris and are craving Indian or Pakistani food, you absolutely have to visit this place.
The team and the owner were so nice to us it was an absolute delight.
7 on 5 for the overall experience and a big thanks to the team.

Great Location, Amazing service. Being an Indian i do not like the taste much but can relate it is molded for local taste.
Must try Chai and Kulfi (ice cream) but not together 😉

A very authentic place with cozy French cuisine! We reserved a week before. We ordered the menu for 2 with their famous chicken in the pot (hence the name). Everything was incredibly delicious, especially the panna cotta at the end. It was very creamy, not like a weird jelly substance you get sometimes. This one contained a handful of vanilla , which made the taste smooth and elegant.
Definitely will come back some day.

ALLARD | PARIS 🇫🇷🍽️

First dinner in Paris! Super awesome and highly recommend! 🏆🏆🏆

Bienvenue chez Allard. One of the finest gourmet addresses in Paris for over 80 years. In 1985, The Allard family sells the restaurant to Bernard Bouchard who, in turn, and now to Alain Ducasse. 👨🏻‍🍳👩🏻‍🍳🧑🏻‍🍳

Located in the heart of Saint-Germain-des-Prés, it remains one of the last authentic French gourmet bistros. 🇫🇷🇫🇷🇫🇷

Vibes - An intimate dining room whose diffused light, dark wood paneling, red leather banquette, tobacco-stained walls, and floral-printed wallpaper make every tête-à-tête look like a scene in a Merchant Ivory film.

Must order - Here, beauty is both in the room and on the plate. The La canette de Challans aux olives - signature duck from Challans with olives - one of the great classics of the Allard restaurant. Délicieux escargots en conquilles - iconic entry of bistro cuisine. Definitely the cuisses de grenouilles façon Fernande Allard - frog legs, a standard of French gastronomy. 🦆🐌🐚🐸🌱🍽️

For a city like Paris, you have occasion to go back to again and again, Allard is like home. Good for family dinner as well as a cozy twosomes. While impressive enough for foodies who need to round out their classical food education, Allard is a place that would satisfy even the most curious Asian visitors. ❤️❤️❤️

This was an extremely disappointing experience from beginning to end. We booked in person 7 weeks ago and were still shown to a terrible table that was in a corridor and we couldn’t fit. Other people sitting nearby said they tried to sit them there and they also asked to move. We were then moved around the corner to a folding table seated next to a table of ten. Before that table arrived we had to ask to order drinks but it got worse after that table arrived. The staff paid us no attention. We poured our own drinks whilst having our table jostled constantly whilst they served the other table much more attentively. Every other table had couples like us and looked similarly unimpressed. The food was ok, we had the duck for two. They tried to take dishes away before we had finished them and then we did finish, took forever to clear our table despite many staff walking by. We weren’t asked if we wanted anything else, so eventually got up for the bill. The waiter at the till ignored us whilst talking to his colleagues. After taking our coats, and interrupting him we paid. Another staff member came by and we told them it was a terrible experience. They asked why and we explained as outlined. They didn’t seem to care. I haven’t written a bad review for a restaurant before. After having been on holiday for 7 weeks, eating in restaurants both cheaper and more expensive, this was particularly stand out for appalling service. For €211 for two, having 2 glasses of rose, a half carafe of red and one shared main dish, it was most definitely not worth it.

Really nice restaurant with a "luxury" feel, comfy and chic. Their lunch set is a good bang for your buck at only 17€. I liked their chicken tandoori, chicken curry, their kulfi and the mango lassi.

This was our favorite restaurant on our last trip to Paris. Service is calm and cordial. We had lunch at least once and a couple of dinners. We left for a week or so for Le Sud and came back here before leaving France. The host greeted us warmly like returning regulars. The meals and wines offered were all excellent. Would happily return.

Very nice French restaurant by Alain Ducasse . The dining room is very cozy space inside. Lunch set is at superb quality at decent price for this kind of quality. Wine selection is great and high quality. Beef cheek la bourguignonne is excellent.

The restaurant doesn’t take reservations but queuing for a table is part of the experience! The dining room is simple but quite cosy with wooden tables and a fireplace on which some of the dishes are prepared. Service is very friendly and swift. Food is very traditional and comforting, the entrées were nothing incredible but the moules were very tasty and the sauce normande delicious. Mention to the cider, 100% local and perfect to clean the mouth. Overall, good experience!

We didn’t made reservations but they were able to find us some seats. We really enjoyed our dinner here. Service was very nice, food was good. The poulet vind allou wasn’t as spicy as I expected but it was tasty. Biryani was also not as spicy. Maybe the spice level is toned down for European guests, I am not sure. Overall it was a nice dinner.

Having been to over 50 Michelin star restaurants, globally, this one was in the bottom 3. There was very little wrong with the food however it just didn’t feel different enough to have a star. Service was good and the restaurant was nice (although the tables were too close together) Very expensive for what it was, especially the drinks. Choose other restaurants in Paris over this one for quality and value for money. Doesn’t get my Michelin star

Here we go …..

1) Tiny place, likely 30 seats (you eat on your neighbors knees) and 3 staffs

2) Very popular place as no booking no seating but 95% are tourist (as nearby Le Louvre)

3) First impression so so especially had to wait +10mns placing our orders …

4) Food wise is okay. Price is high but tasty food with familial portion. The “Os a moelle” was very good, the “pate en croute” dry, the blanquette was very good but slightly salty and my Hachis Parmentier tasty. However the desert were not what we expected. The “crème brûlée” was too sweet (too much caramel and not warm) and the profiterole was okay but the choux was standard and the chocolate not warm.

5) Bottom line, I believe this place lives on the name of JF Piège but I can foresee people walking out and thinking the quality / service does not value the price tag (207€ for 2pax).

Last but not least 2, 19€ for a Côtes du Rhône glass is a bit too much :-)

Typical place were you go with expectations as JFP behind but falling short the promises.

We were a group of 5 people. The waiter spoke little English and did not provide menu. And then he said that each of us should order a plate and only after that we can order desserts( 2 of us wanted just desserts and drinks). We left this place and do not recommend anyone to waste time on it
The place is nice inside but service is the worst ever you can get there. Not friendly and understanding for tourist at all, if you are not speaking French, is a problem at all, not even trying to stay friendly with us. It’s a pity cause a nice place
No English. I wanted to get a glass of wine and a dessert but was told to order the main dish beforehand

Food was bad service was bad. The food was cold, service was bad. We are currently still sitting in the restaurant and the food was so badly seasoned that we had te write a review. We told the waiter that the food was cold and did not taste well, he told us this is Indian food with French flavours. When we told him that the sign says Indian food he told us that he did not know. The ‘chutney’ was not spicy and the service was slow and did not remove the wine glasses that we obviously did not need. The butter chicken lacked butter and chicken, 6 pieces of chicken was not sufficient for a main dish. A grown man could eat a mean dish with 2 bites.

The only thing that was good was the coca cola that was served in a bottle.

Update: the manager will become aggressive and hostile against you if you tell him your complaints, also he will keep you hostage and treated to call police if you do not agree with him. He did everything he could to make sure there was no way to leave the restaurant unless i pay. Be careful to eat over here, would not recommend.

I visited New Jawad for my boyfriend’s birthday, and we had an okay experience! The restrooms were impeccably clean, the decor was pretty, and the vegetable samosas were delicious. I must also compliment the staff as they are very attentive and professional!

However, there were some glaring issues. The sweet sauce provided had bananas in it for some reason? Very weird.

The butter chicken (the signature dish) I had was probably the worst I’ve ever eaten, and that was so disappointing. It was more oily than creamy, and it had a very strong bacon taste for some reason? I found small flat chunks of what I assumed must be some other kind of meat, because even my boyfriend remarked that it tasted like pork, which wouldn’t make any sense.

Lastly, the “saffron” rice was 5 euros for a relatively small portion and maybe 2 drops of color.

All in all, I’d like to give another location a try and maybe see if this butter chicken was just a fluke.

It was simply a superbly delightful experience here. It was one of those evenings that surpassed my expectations in every regard. The setting is gorgeous, the staff are all lovely and good humored, the sommelier chose three excellent wines to pair with the dishes. The food was just terrific. After two amuse bouche, the soufflé starter was outstanding and my favourite dish. The vegetarian main was outstanding too. A final big surprise was the jasmin tea infused cream, which you really should not skip. The waiter said it was his personal favourite dish and it's easy to see why. I've never had a desert like it, and it was the favorite of my fiancé.

Additionally, they have a menu in English and the staff speak English excellently. The restaurant is also endorsed by American express and you can use your fine dining benefit if you have an American express platinum credit card.

Only two seating times each evening at 6:45 and 8:45 (no reservations) but oh man is this place well worth it! The pot of mussels is an absolute must for only €15 the amount you get is easily double that price- and the tuna/steaks are cooked perfectly over their open fireplace. Of course the deserts were outstanding as well! Easily our best meal in 4 nights on the French coast!

Very well done steak with good garnish included in price. You can watch cooking process and smell smoky meat smell right inside of restaurant. It became our favorite place to visit for lunch and dinner during our three days stay. Each day they changed meals of the day, enjoyed them every time. Mussels with dor blue cheese souse, sails, desserts were great too!
Thank you guys for hospitality, quality and affortable prices ❤️

We stopped by for lunch and got the butter chicken, chicken tikka masala, rice, garlic naan, mango lassi, passion fruit lassi, and mint lassi. For dessert we got the homemade ice cream and a slice of cake.

The spice levels were great if you like spicy food and the lassis were very flavorful. I thought the portion sizes were perfect and easily shareable.

What a great little restaurant this is. Friendly staff, welcoming and fast service, and fantastic food. We had a table near the wood-fired grill and got to see the chef in action. I had a sea bream with roasted potatoes and it was incredible. Really a great place.

Booked for dinner as per coworkers' "wine" friend's recommendation, mix of locals and tourists. The service was good and attentive- (English menu given) Lyon specialty dishes, it's a bit price but the quality was good. Overall good, enjoyed our meal and glasses of wine.

Had an amazing dinner at Aux Lyonnais, one of my best experiences by far.
The service is personal but yet professional and relaxed.

If you’re looking for a place with classic french cuisine but in a relaxed place with great service and great execution, this is the place.
The Quenelle aux Brochet sauce Nantua is incredible and just amazing.
And oh my god, the Alain Chapels Jasmine tea pot dessert, incredible.

If you don’t order it while it’s on the menu, you miss out on something amazing.
I would say it’s on the same level as a one Michelin Star restaurant without the stiff feeling.
Will definately be back.

This was our last meal in Paris & we sat outside overlooking the park. The menu is typically French. We ordered the snails, goat's cheese salad & cold carrot soup for starters. All were good. The cod for a main was presented beautifully, but the tuna & duck were also good. The chardonnay we drank was very smooth. We can't return but we will have fond memories.

And this was a delightful meal. What a surprise to find this lovely, small, but beautifully managed outdoor setting near Luxembourg gardens. The food was extraordinary for the value. While small, the diners were very engaging with one another, which is one of my favorite things about Paris. I will definitely make this a regular stop. Loved the roasted leeks and beef carpaccio. Excellent Provence rose.

I honestly wasn’t expecting it from a restaurant this popular, but WOW! The food was incredible, and the service was top notch. Highly recommend the Foie Gras, it was one of the best we’ve ever had as well as the Cote de Boeuf with the amazing Bercy sauce. I wish I could take that sauce everywhere. Finished off with a delicious crème brûlée. The service was lovely, attentive and impeccable and our experience was made so much better thanks to Yuri who was an absolute star. New Jawad was fantastic!

First Asian cuisine in Europe and it was a great experience.

The waiter was so so kind here which was a rarity in Paris. He offered recommendations which helped guide our decision process.

I ordered the Chicken Tikka was Saffron Rice - we had Naan to split for the table. I ordered the dessert which was Kulfi - this dessert was just outstanding.

Such a fun and exciting neighborhood that it is a part of. We went on a Monday night and the place was packed.

Till next time!

This was honestly a very bad experience. Starting from the service, which was cold and unfriendly. They didn’t even greet or make us feel welcome.

I wish I didn’t have to write such a bad review about the food, but that was the worst I’ve ever had. We ordered Chicken Punjabi, Naan, Kebab and Mutton Biryani. And let me tell you, the waiter asked us about the spice level, and we said hard spice. Literally. And when I tell you that what they served us was not even spicy , it was literally as if they didn’t put any damn spice into the food at all. It tasted that bad. They served two small pieces of kebab with like dry salad. The biryani should not be called biryani. It had no taste. The waiter serving us was very unfriendly.

The food wasn’t even close to being called Indian food in any way. It was a very disappointing experience.

Top of the line dinner experience in Etretat.

It was already ten people in line when we joined to line in late evening. We were a little bit afraid of if the place will be closed, but everyone got in from the line.

We ordered snails with mixed flavours to start and for the main course we had fromage salad and saucisse.

All foods were very good and the customer service was fantastic. We had a great oleasure to have dinner in here.

Very big recommendations!

Incredibly overpriced. Essentially, for every $5 you're paying $2 for the food and $3 to the bloggers.
The food is OK, but no where near the Cost you pay. You likely are reading this bc some blog, vlog or ig post somewhere recommended it... they're paying for the marketing.

Like I said, the bread is some of the best I've had and the food was ok, but we paid $230 for some soup, foi gras, 2 glasses of cheap wine, small steak and tartar...
The service was ok as long as you get someone that speaks French or English.

I suspect the original owners sold the joint and the new ones are paying for the hype via social media. You'll notice almost no locals... all foreigners.. there's a reason for that...

Allard is classic French food done right. I think the quote on the menu about clients coming to the restaurant not for surprise or novelty, but for well-executed culinary classics sums up the ethos well. The chicken for 2 was heavenly. Perfectly cooked skin, moist inside, full of flavor in every bite. The truffle macaroni and cheese was indulgent and comforting. My only complaints would be the incredibly warm dining room and the sometimes blunt service, but this is characteristic of many places in Paris. The food more than makes up for it though, and truly a memorable meal.

Delicate and delicious French food in a vintage atmosphere. I had my dinner birthday there and I’ll remember it The service was a bit slow but the waiting was worth it. I enjoyed every single dish. My compliments to the chef !!! Highly recommend, I’ll certainly be back

The best meal we have had in France! The seafood here is just delightful. We tried the sea bass, mussels, chicken galette and soup of the day. Each dish was lovely. The portions are good and the pricing is sweet. Would recommend 100%

Fine dining restaurant with original recipes from Lyon in a classic atmosphere. The place is a bit pricey but they are serving excellent food quality in a very well preserved place (all the furnitures feel originals and the decoration is matching).
The dishes we ordered were all delicious and the recommended wine was great too.
Their service is very good and efficient.
They have a small menu with not many choices, I guess it is to keep a good food quality and update it according to seasonal products.
Their dessert are very interesting because they mix unusual flavors.
This place lacks service and its unfortunate because it takes away from some of their excellent food. To start off, the wine takes 15 to 20 minutes to come out. When it finally arrived, the waiter did not properly show us the bottle we ordered or pour for a small taste. Just grabbed it by the label and started pouring, very unprofessional! Our waiter dropped the plates infront of me instead of gently placing it. Did not give us the most basic attention. This terrible service came from one goofy waiter that ruins the service for the whole business.

Some of the food we ordered was excellent. I recommend the frog legs, their special of the day, and crème brûlée.

Atmosphere is pretty decent but do not eat here if you are uncomfortable sitting close together. The tables are very close to each other therefore the waiters pull out the whole table for you for the inner side seats.

Worst food we had during our week stay in Royan. My partner started vomiting on the table with "poisson du jour". No-one seems very concerned about his health. I also asked the waitress about my dish which the waitress described as "bouillabaisse", however it was not a fish soup and the fish didn't look fresh. On paying the bill at the till, still no concerns from the boss who stated that the food was freshly cooked and was not prepared to be challenged.
I THINK THE FOOD HYGIENE SHOULD INSPECT THIS PLACE
We ate twice at "le marayeur" and would recommend it if you want to eat some fresh seafood.

Food was not fresh. I vomited after eating the bream. No one was concerned about the terrible food or my health.

I was looking for a good confit de canard for my family to try while they’re visiting Paris and Le Petit Medicis did not disappoint. Tender duck meat and crispy skin made for a very delicious meal! Our server was great and I made a reservation through the link on Google Maps and it was easy. They also replied promptly to my message. I was very happy with our dinner here.

A nice place to get lunch nearby the Luxembourg Garden, the menu of the day overcame my expectations and was delicious. Good customer service and the food was tasty. The risotto was really creamy and delicious. I enjoyed my lunch here.

Stay away from this place!!!!The worst experience with a restaurant!!!The food is not fresh and the taste is horrible!!We asked what kind of fresh they have and the answer was mackerel! When the food come the fish was cooked from frozen fish and it was ordinary fish!!We asked one waiter and she told us that its fresh mackerel 😂😂 they have to take some lesson to make the difference between fresh fish and frozen fish. Also the soup was not fresh…anyway never go there!!!

Loved it. Especially the terrine which was very inspiring. Pork main course didnt touch the sides.. delicious.
We were late due to the French train strikes and we had to phone them twice to adjust the reservation time. They were very accommodating.

Had dinner with my family for 3 nights in a row at La Taverne. We arrived in Colmar on Christmas Day in 2022 and was so glad to find a place where we could eat and well thrilled by the servers' hospitality. The restaurant was packed full of people for the next 2 days and a reservation is highly recommended especially for dinner.

La Taverne has a lively local atmosphere and hosted by a warm group of waiters and waitresses. This is a family run restaurant and full of returning locals and possibly also tourists from other parts of France and Europe.

Loved the local casserole dish and also the rumsteaks served on charcoal grill. The pork knuckle is very well done and tender within for a good price. The wines and beers were also very well priced and you can get everything Alsace has to offer right at this tavern. Service is excellent and will love to be back again if I come back to Colmar!

Immer frisch
Freundliche Bedienung

Restaurant le Bistro de la Perle is very good. The food is great and the service is very friendly. The only real downside is that the service is also on the slow side, but really, all in all, it is just a great little place.

With a mixed feeling. The restaurant is clean well situated and the only one opened in the area at this time of the year.
The menu is correct as well as the prices.
It was cold inside for an outside temperature of 0C, it remains cold throughout the lunch regardless the Restaurant being full. We noticed the waiter.
We arrived early and we’re almost the first one, thank god as an hour later the restaurant was full. It started well, the service was fluent and attentive, after appetizer we waited quite long for main course and when this one arrived it was just warm. The service staff was overwhelmed by the number of guests and they were only 5 for over 100 guests. On top of it we discovered that only one cook manned the kitchen which explains it all. However the experience was still a good one with courteous service and tasty food. Thank you

Restaurant is not bad, but also not great. Just one girl serving customers which is pretty low for so many tables. She does her work very well, but is missing a pair of hands. After some time a second girl comes in which does help a lot. The food is good. The meat is just about right, but personally I would prefer something like beef tenderloin. Why compromise on quality? The red wine is probably coming from an outside shed because it’s very cold. Takes some time to get the right temperature. The wine is ok, but again not great. Why not choose just a little bit better? I ate well here, but with some quality improvements it could be a very good restaurant.

So far, the best barbeque restaurant I had experimced in Colmar, not to mention the friendly environment. The owner himself, along with his wife, showed up at our table and greeted us with their warmful attitude. Truly its worth the time to visit it, since I had a decent and delicious food. by the way thanks marielle for telling us to come here
Not the best French food, definitely not the best service

Very nice French food with reasonable price of 3 course for 30 euros.

Staffs were very friendly and the food was exceptional! Had foigras as an entree and beef tartare, lamb shank and very nice wine(3 glasses?) with desserts plate as the photo, and it was about £54! We wanted to call a taxi that we could pay with card and they helped us throughout.

Would recommend and would go back.

Good food and friendly staff. I read some of the other reviews and am surprised. When went to the restaurant on a Sunday night and there were only a few other people there. We were seated immediately and we found our host, Monsieur Pascale, very friendly and humorous. His daughter and the other waitress were very sweet and polite. My ham was tender, off the bone (though I didn't eat the fat part which some people love) and the sauerkraut was too mild in flavour but we were in France. We would eat there again as we had a very nice experience and meal.
Fresh ingredients with sample cooking style.
We did enjoy the lunch here

We randomly walked in front of the restaurant and the menu outside caught our attention. The owner is very welcoming and professional. Her smile alone will bring back lots of customers. Everything sounds so delicious. It is high quality tradition dishes with excellent products. I wanted to taste everything on the menu. It was is difficulty choose. Best to come back with lots of people and order everything. This way, I’d get to taste everything. Will come back again.
Great food modern restaurant opens at 7 o clock

Good meal. La Siesta is ideally located next to the sea. The team is warm and the prices are attractive. So go on !
Absolutely delicious! The meat was perfectly cooked, the tartar was very well prepared. Quick and friendly service, the children got the meals very fast. Thanks for a great meal, I will recommend!
The bone marrow is excellently prepared, à pointe detache from the bones, main dish mackerel is prep'd with choice, fatty cut and super fresh..d-sserts: must have...
