Came in to look for some dice and the man who was working on the tills helped us find them quickly. I forgot my loyalty card and he told me how to claim my points still. He also directed me, my aunt and my brother to Edinburgh castle. He was very friendly, happy and just a pleasure to be around. This was around 11am. Thank you so much!

We came for the magical woodland and it was amazing. Food and drink was nice and the the kids loved the whole experience. Will definitely be coming back. Very much worth a visit. Will be back for the fireworks on the 4th !!!

Had a brilliant Halloween night out at Magical Woodland, Cheshire. It was muddy and cold a typical October night. It is worth the money. You do need to be physically fit as it's a long walk round. A excellent variety of lights and shows. A bit hilly in places. Dogs not allowed. Suitable 2+ years
We did visit Magic Wonderland, but before we had a look around and I found this place absolutely lovely. Free car park. ( not just one but few), indoor soft play area for kids, pets shop, craft shops. £5 per person to visit birds such as owls or vultures, mini attractions for kids and of course Wonderland.
In my experience, I've always had a very pleasant shop here. Staff have always been helpful and moving around keeping the place nice, which makes it easy to find someone to help. Always a pleasure.
Staff member Becky has helped me twice on my visits with a wonderful smile on her face. Knew a lot about the stores products and has made me come in specifically for the service when I could get the same products online easier. Becky managed to guide me with what to buy for my level of knowledge of the items I have purchased
Quite a nice store. Lots of choice. Can be busy at weekends but the tills are staffed and you get served quite quickly. Any art and craft product you could want as well as model train accessories, model paints, model glues and quite a selection of plastic model kits.
Natural back to basics campsite, loved everything about it and can't wait for winter to experience hot tent camping
Friends got married here on Saturday, the venue and location was amazing and luckily the weather was dry. The birds of prey was definitely my highlight.

Lovely place to spend the afternoon with the little one! We visited the Falconry centre and Playbarn - these went down a treat. Special mention to Polly and tots ltd too, excellent choice there and very reasonably priced 👍
Wonderful relaxing place. The staff are simply the best, especially at the restaurant bar. They have the most wonderful and helpful staff there.
Shopped there recently twice. On both occasions, two different members of staff were very friendly and went out of their way to help me get my click and collect stuff to the car - without my having to ask! Don't usually review, but these guys were exceptionally kind and accommodating.

Really enjoyable day out. My kids love the fairground, pet shop, softplay and craft shop, and my favourites are the two fantastic Antique shops, Farrow House and The Emporium. Highly recommend a visit!

A truly magical campsite. Pure nature, fantastic, spacious pitches, phenomenal organic produce, and very welcoming owner. Thank you, Lee and crew!
Wonderful secluded campsite near the southern edge of the Peak District. There are several field pitches spaced generously apart and a sink with running drinkable water and two compost toilets nearby. The field pitches are covered in lovely grass and well draining soil so even with rain it doesn't get boggy or water logged. The view from the field pitches are really amazing as it is on top of a hill (hence the name of the site) and each one has a large stone fire pit. You can drive right up on to your pitch and pretty much set up as you like so perfect if you have a roof box tent or just want to use your car as weather cover like we did.
Prices are very reasonable at £10 for adults and £5 for under 12s.
Even with some rain during our stay we had a great time and will definitely be staying again.

I’ve feel like this Hobby Craft has become a second home while I’ve been working on various projects. The staff are always very friendly and knowledgeable and ready to give a helping hand. While it’s often easier, and sometimes cheaper, to shop online it’s always a treat to go in store and be inspired by things I never knew I needed!

They don't have any essential items like gum or tape, unlike other WHsmiths. This was the situation when I visited last week. They just have many drinks and sweets, magazines etc. and that's it. It will be great if they are stocking more stationary items in the shop.
I'm still discovering new sections to the store. My primary need is for bits and pieces to enhance my free style embroidery and the card frames to transform my embroidery into greetings cards. A request, please will you stock cream cardboard frames, as well as the pure white? I think you used to do?

Fun experience painting the pottery but HORRIBLE customer service!!! Waited 3 weeks then called multiple times about collecting pottery. They took my number and claimed they would call me when ready. another week goes by! so i go in their myself to collect it and nobody in the shop to speak to. Abysmal customer service don’t recommend
Very average. I booked an intro to wheel throwing for myself and a friend and found the tutor generally pretty unfriendly and abrupt. The class opened with an explanation that we basically wouldn’t be able to get anything out of just one session because it’s so complicated (why offer a single class intro) and then feeling throughout like I was in detention rather than a paying customer (actually using the phrase ‘I won’t explain it again’). Also felt like it wasn’t ok to fail. Basically paid for some fun of a Monday evening and to learn a little of something new and missed the mark on both counts - a missed opportunity to have signed me up to the full course if that was a taster of the treatment to come. Definitely not good value for the more than £100 I spent.

Always have th bits and pieces I need
We had a lovely couple of nights on the campsite in the summer. The owner was very welcoming and quickly showed us to our pitch with superb views over the valley. We had plenty of space and at night it was very quiet apart from the sounds of nature. We had a small campfire one evening, and they even supplied eco-firefighters with the wood. We enjoyed a couple of walks from the site itself including into Alton along an old railway line. The facilities were simple but clean. We will be back in 2023, now we have discovered this gem of peace and tranquillity.
Another year of camping at this unique, quirky and outstandingly beautiful campsite. I regularly camp all over the UK with my 2 young boys, at many of the big national parks, or along long distance paths. I also frequent quiter, lesser known corners of the country. Nowhere compares to Farm on the Hill. This is he closest to wild camping you can have, with permissible open fires, basic facilities and outstanding views, flanked by woodland and farmland. The site is quite literally a couple of miles from the closest main roads, along a single track country lane, given a real feel of seclusion. It is also flanked by nearly rivers, under the gaze of the Weaver Hills a very short distance away. You can camp on hill sides with amazing vista, large open pitches or in secluded woodland openings, or in just in a field! I visit 5/6 times a year and the experience each time is unique, adventurous and unrivalled. Alethea (Lee) the owner, offers amazing friendly, hospitality and advice. It’s location on the Staffs/Derbyshire border offers amazing access to the outdoors and a gateway to the Peak District. Local amenities, a short drive or a pleasant, picturesque walk away are great and include pubs, shops or takeaways. We prefer to cook on the open fire with wood available to purchase on site. Would highly recommend to any camping enthusiast or someone looking for a unique overnight camping experience that offers something completely different. Cannot wait to return with my young boys next year.
Our stay at this quiet, isolated, family-friendly campsite was wonderful. The pitches are spaced out, picturesque and many with wonderful views. The site is very 'back to basics' with a drop toilet and a gas shower in a shed in the woods. The staff live on site, also very rustically. They did their utmost to make us feel welcome and accommodated. On our final night, there was a small issue, totally beyond their control, but they did everything to resolve it in the best way possible. We highly recommend this gem of a campsite.
I have been to the 5 week course for absolute beginners where I learned to make things using several methods; pinch pots, coiling, slab building and using the wheel.
I have attended a few times for “private practice sessions” where I had no teaching and could do whatever I wanted (except for using the wheel as I hadn’t done a throwing course.
I loved it all so much I did an intermediate wheel throwing course and I know that won’t be the end of my journey here or with clay.
The teachers are really skilled and very patient! The selection of glazes is fun and all of the equipment is well made and maintained.
I am so glad I took the plunge!

My friend and I were searching for affordable souvenirs and I told her lets pop in here as we would find something. Low and behold we did.
Not a huge range of products to choose from in the souvenir range but they had some flags, mugs, tea-towels, shortbread biscuits and key rings to choose from. The key-rings were actually give a donation to charity so you could give accordingly in the little charity bucket.
I loved the sparkly initial keyrings, great for affordable souvenirs/present idea. Also found a cute Scottie dog clothes patch that I couldn't resist buying for £1.

We stayed overnight at Farm on the Hill, a little gem with great views over the countryside. We had a lovely pitch with a ready made camp fire area and plenty of space for the kids to run around. The facilities were clean and tidy. Would definitely recommend

Thanks to the cashier at the Waverley Station branch (sorry I didn't get her name) who saved my day yesterday (Saturday 4th June) when she gave me brilliant advice on how to fix my broken espadrille.

called in today (18th may). Lovely shop, very good stock and prices, friendly assistant who was very helpful. even braved the spiral stairs and very glad i did as bagged some 'dreamcatcher' at an unassailable price. only wish i could go in there every week.

Well it was my first visit and my last . The lady who served me :made me feel so unwelcome :yes I'm the one who had crutches. My legs might not work: but brain does. I was going to get the wool to go with the pattern I got . So you lost out on.money .
Decent store, used it for click and collect and at other times. Bit pricier than some shops, but then it's Smith's, it's dependable. Always consistent.
The government needs to crackdown on WHSmith- everything is marked up 20-30% more than other similar businesses/ isn’t there a governing body that monitors this kind of behaviour to protect the consumer/ it needs to be looked into- it would make a good documentary not to mention the walking dead that seem to work in this particular branch
Always scan the mcdonalds voucher, but rather than hand it to the customer, they hide it away for themselves. Inverness and Aberdeen outlets always hand them over.
Recently relocated to a three-storey Aladdin's cave just down from where it used to be. This store is a treasure trove for for yarn fans and crafters in the north west. A broad range of yarns, from local hand-dyed skeins of luxury alpaca, through the mid range with lots of surprising blends and textures, workhorse sock yarns, and right down to budget acrylics. Patterns, samples, a bright and friendly workshop space, a little cave full of knitting needles and notions, and a bargain basement. Lynda and her staff are so knowledgeable and friendly, this place really is a great resource.
Over the moon that I have found somewhere close by to be able to purchase DMC threads from that are not over priced (like Hobbycraft and John Lewis) The lady in the shop was lovely and chatty and it was a lovely store. Will certainly be coming back now for all my cross stitching needs!

I first got a blanket in white green and blue and my little boy absolutely loved it, it’s so soft and so easy to clean, he’s had it from the moment he was born and it never leaves his side!
So to make it a little easier than carrying a big blanket everywhere I got a lovely little dinosaur binky and he’s just as obsessed with it!
I’m very happy with both my products (so is my little boy) And I would highly recommend everything crochet!

My boys did a two hour sessions, the first hour was clay modelling and then they had a go at turning on a potters wheel. We all thoroughly enjoyed it, the ladies that worked there were super helpful and friendly. I even had a go on the potters wheel. Still loving the creations we made.

Did an amazing one day wheel throwing course here today, very friendly and helpful staff. Really accommodating and patient with teaching the techniques and a lovely homely vibe to learn in. Only slight downside is the giant window means passersby are understandably intrigued and tend to stare in! I'd really recommend the course to anyone from a total beginner (like me) to anyone wanting to spend some time out improving the basics.

This branch of WHSmith is quite busy and it is run by a few staff who are very polite and helpful at all times. Good stock and an excellent choice of books, guides and maps, plus everything you need for your homeoffice or school.

Went to shop in Leeds airport 11.10.18 to buy 10 scratch cards. Could only buy 1 as lady said she could not get to them as they were all inside display case and she did not have key to get access . No manager available. What a way to run business. Muppets

I designed a bespoke astronomical computer, to be formed from wood. The Glasgow Laser were very clear in communication, and it was produced and available for exactly when I was told it would be, and for the price we agreed, which was very reasonable. The quality of the product was of an unbelievably high standard.
Perfect place to visit when you want that extra special unique gift.
Decent sized WH Smith (and we don't have many in Edinburgh), espeically good for picking up some magazines or newspapers before a train ride. They also have sandwiches, drinks plus a large selection of sweet, crisps and chocolate (and there's always some chocolate on special offer at the tills). Some manned tills and some self service. Also has some books, gifts etc.
