My debit card is registered to my self funding treatments. The day after a procedure, £ 285 was taken as payment instead of my usual £ 160. There was nothing different about my procedure & nothing added. I have contacted them a total of 4 times and have only received 1 email in response that is the usual “ thank you for your enquiry, blah blah “ 10 days have passed and I still don’t have a response or explanation. Their customer services are very unprofessional. I would seriously consider an alternative to using them based on this lack of communication.
I recently was admitted to The Kingsbridge Hospital for a procedure under the care of Dr Mark McComisky. I cannot thank Dr McComisky and his support staff highly enough for the treatment and care I received. Thanks also to the nurses for their kindness and the catering department who made my birthday very memorable.

Dean the receptionist in the booking appointments goes over and above in his job to help you. He has a lovely manner and listens well, finds out the information you need to know and keeps to his word and is very professional at his job. I wish there were more people like him. We would be living in a kinder and better world.
Thankyou Dean

Our daughter was seen in one of the outpatient departments of the hospital, quite quickly, which is admirable taking into account the pressure the NHS is under these days. Thank you for your hard work.
I am deeply disappointed with the service at JR Hospital. We arrived in an ambulance, escorted by the police, after a serious incident. One friend had a head injury that was bleeding continuously, while another had severe bruising all over the face. Despite the urgency, we were left waiting for over four hours without receiving any medical attention. No one showed up to provide treatment, even as my friend’s bleeding worsened. We were forced to leave and deal with the injuries ourselves. This level of negligence in an emergency situation is unacceptable and incredibly frustrating.

Thank you to the wonderful breast and oncology team for treating me with care, patience and dignity today. I was scared but your honesty and love made me feel at ease. Thank you !
On Tuesday 23rd Sept. I arrived at JR @ A&E around at 06:50AM. I was seen by a Nurse at 7.00AM. I was given a series of checks between 0747-0930AM. The GP I saw was excellent very knowledgeable, personable and answered all my questions. I was kept well informed throughout my visit by the medical staff I met. I was very impressed by the thorough nature of the checks they undertook and left with a really good impression of all the staff at the hospital. Thank you.
Just had spinal surgery to replace two discs here in Belfast, from the moment I arrived yesterday morning, I experienced a totally pleasant and efficient environment, all the staff are very helpful, caring and professional. The operation went without problems, through to recovery being cared for by wonderful nurses right through the night. I could not ask for a better service, I was checked on numerous times, the emphasis here is total care at every level…The food was an experience that was presented to a higher standard than most restaurants I have dined in before. 5 stars all round. An unforgettable experience. With everything fixed time for home and recovery… Thanks to an awesome amazing team…

Just felt I had to praise Dr Richard Turner and Jasmine for helping me through my procedure. They were both amazing throughout and I had one of the best experiences of hospital outpatients ever.
Thank you both so much, the NHS need more like you
My granddaughter was accessed by 999 a d told she has to wait 6 hrs for ambulance. She decided to go by taxi. She was in agony with gums, mouth lips swollen, all around nose area. When seen by doctor was told, they can only help her if her heat stopped, thT they couldn't help her and she shouldn't have gone there. And generally very rude to a 21 yrs old in agony. What else was she supposed to have done at 1.30am and in really bad pain. Is this what we pay the NHS for. Absolutely disgusting when they could of given her antibiotics to help the obvious infection.NOT SENT HER AWAY IN TERRIBLE PAIN. Will be taking this further. Trust me.
I was a patient in this amazing hospital three weeks ago ..wow what an experience..such care empathy respect..Mr cusick was my orthopedic consultant..what a Gentleman..A full hip replacement..pain free and recovering fantastic. The nursing staff wow again..just amazing..one in particular took time to see that everything was just so correct. Kaz..jaz ...not sure ..I met so many amazing staff ..From the second I entered the hospital to my discharge ..only one little complaint one lady in catering. Really she should find a career she liked . Once again. From reception to discharge. Thank you all so so much ..what an amazing experience I had in Kingsbridge..Highly recommended ❤️
I’ve only been an out patient here, seeing consultants but everyone there has been kind, helpful and with a cheerful or jokey word. The consultants are caring, knowledgeable and very helpful. We have insurance so we’ve never been turned away. Obviously our insurance is accepted, although I see from other reviews that some are not. I strongly recommend Kingsbridge, especially given the sad state of our National Health Service now. Thank you all at Kingsbridge.

Reception staff are very rude, antagonising and unhelpful. Unfortunately their unprofessional manner tends to be ignored by the practice manager.
Absolutely disgusted.
Partner just went to get some help and pain relief for his arm which he's hurt and is in incredible pain and the "doctor" told him he didn't need to be here and to leave .BECAUSE HE TOOK HIS JACKET OFF!!
Disgusting! 😡😡😡 put in a complaint at the reception and I will be taking it further.
I really wouldn’t recommend. I actually worry for vulnerable people calling and individuals who suffer with mental health as they are probably fearful to call after the service I received today..

I called to make an appointment with a Dr as I submitted an online form 10days ago which is what they recommend (they also state they will get back to you in a few working days) so due to not hearing back I decided to call to make an appointment for my scan results to be viewed by a Dr to see if I need an operation. Just for a bit of background myself and my husband are currently going through a very emotive health situation in regards to having a baby.

I called and requested an appointment with Dr Thomas as I find she listens, understands and actually cares for individuals and their health concerns plus she is a female and I feel more comfortable talking about fertility with a female (I think there is nothing wrong with that)

The receptionist immediately told me that they can’t book appointments over the phone I need to be triaged, I explained that was fine however I was quite distrusting of the online form after I had waited 10 working days and still heard nothing. She didn’t even let me finish this and spoke over me extremely patronising To inform me, she needed to put me on hold to look at other patients… I didn’t feel heard and thought wow okay!

I waited about two minutes on hold for the receptionist to inform me an appointment was made on the 22nd August for me. This appointment I now know to be was for a separate health condition from an EClinic submission I made about 3 weeks before 22nd August so it was nothing to do with what I was calling the drs for.

I explained that I didn’t make this appointment or realised I had an appointment and that’s not what I was calling for, the receptionist yet again talked over me and said “do you not receive texts” I explained I don’t check my phone or realise I get texts as I keep my phone on do not disturb as I work shifts. I cannot explain how patronising and rude the receptionist was when she replied “wow so you don’t use your phone or check it” at this point I realised she was trying to get a reaction or something from me so I just replied “no” and she went “wow okay” in a very sarcastic and patronising way.

I didn’t want to continue the conversation with the receptionist at this point as it was really degrading and unnecessary so I advised her in a polite and respectful manner that I actually found her very rude and I would not be continuing the conversation.

There was no apology or realisation of how extremely unprofessional and disrespectful she was being she literally said in a sarcastic and rude manner “okay you take care byyyye”

I burst in to tears when I got off the phone i couldn’t believe how someone could treat a person trying to access health provisions. Luckily my husband was witness to the conversation and was outraged by how I was spoken to.

It’s left me feeling like I am worthless and not listened to or heard I don’t want to access the drs anymore and I am actually going to have to change drs which means I will probably have to start from the beginning with our fertility journey.

I am a very confident person and I am not afraid to speak up for myself when I feel like I am not being treated in a professional way, however I am very worried for the elderly, vulnerable and people suffering with mental health who have to communicate with this receptionist as I am sure she makes them feel how I felt on a regular basis and are now probably too scared or anxious to access their drs due to her.

Myself and my husband have made a formal complaint and if that is not recognised then we will take it further even to the MP if we need too, I am genuinely concerned for individuals who have to access this drs surgery as the service received on the phone is probably the worst I have ever received in 33years!

So I do not recommend this surgery at all!
Dr Ed Norris Cervetto and the A&E team could not have been more sympathetic, caring and professional when assessing my 96 year old mother. No complaints at all, an example of what the NHS does best
Avoid Andrew Kelly. Total waste of time and money. My appointment was around 3 minutes. Appointment was rushed. I felt like I was just another number, which is a shame considering I forked out £195 for the appointment. Attended for ongoing nasal problems/congestion and Dr Andrew Kelly asked if I did cocaine. (I felt completely insulted by this) I was prescribed a nasal spray, despite telling Dr Kelly that I’ve already had multiple and none worked. I’ve come away today totally disheartened. I hope not all private Doctor’s are as dismissive.
This doctors surgery is a total joke ! They have an automated system that when you try to book an appointment sends you round and round in circles telling you to book a appointment , funny thing is that's exactly what I'm trying to do. So I called them to be told to use the automated system . So when I told the useless woman on the phone about it she didn't listen to me and talked over the top of me every time . When she did finally listen to me her answer was that they don't take appointments over the phone , which I know to be a load of rubbish cos not everyone is capable or even able to use a computer ! I am so angry about this situation that I'm going to change my doctor's cos these are the least helpful and laziest staff I have ever come by . The woman I spoke to needs to go on a course for public relations cos her attitude was get you off the phone as quickly as possible so she can get back to painting her nails get back to doing her nails or reading her magazine .
My sisters and I visited my uncle in hospital and all the ward staff were friendly and helped get my 88 year old uncle into a wheelchair so that we could take him to the hospital cafe and the hospital garden. Sarah in the cafe was so caring and helpful. Also was her colleauge, porter manager, who took him down. I can't thank them enough, especially Sarah. My uncle was delighted to get into the cafe and outside in fresh air too. Wonderful caring staff. Thank you! Xx

I have just finished my 15 radiotherapy appointments. Every member of staff who dealt with me was caring, knowledgeable and professional. In my opinion The Churchill is a wonderful hospital.
Took my 89 year old mother to A&E as she had an uncontrollable nose bleed. ENT doctors were brilliant. Nurse in charge had poor standard of care. No bed available so my mother had to sit on a hard chair for 6 hours. There were big armchairs free but she wasn't allowed to sit on one as they were for patients being admitted even though no one sat on them the entire time we were there.
Very poor, in fact disgusting.
Was in yesterday for ACL reconstruction, 5 star treatment. Nurses were all so lovely, my surgeon was Roger Wilson and he was fantastic throughout. Very quick smooth process from first appointment to getting booked into surgery.
Amazing staff because each time I have visited with my Mum or Dad these guys do everything they can to help.

Absolutely amazing people. I cannot thank you enough for how much you have looked after my Mum and Dad when they needed it. Thank you.

My only criticism is the darn parking - not enough spaces.

I've recently had several appointments and I was absolutely blown away by the whole experience. My consultant, nurses and the environment were just brilliant. My whole experience, given the circumstances, could not have been better. Thankyou to all the cogs in the wheel, you do a fantastic job!
I'll be forever grateful for your swift actions and care. 😍
Visited the Endoscopy department yesterday, reception staff were superb, clinical staff again superb, Amanda I think was her name talked to me throughout and Mr/Dr Weaver was pleasant, approachable and informative. A very pleasant experience all round apart from the insertion.

I was looked after so well by the dedicated team in Dermatology led by Dr Richard Turner. Feel very privileged to receive such excellent NHS treatment.
Fantastic staff and very good at explaining what would happen to me during operation. My main issue was with information sharing. I had to have a seizure before they saw I suffer with them on my notes! Husband is full time carer but was only given limited extra hours to see me and was treated like a inconvenience every time he turned up. Not told no children allowed on ward 11 ( was allowed on ward 8) so my daughter was devastated at being turned away when she came at visiting hour. Very poor to no information shared with carer and no collabiover my care. Worse still is I'm writing this here as cannot find any email contact to make my views known. Brilliant staff but information sharing even between wards very poor indeed
Awful experience with an incredibly nasty receptionist, I am in excruciating pain and didn't take kindly to the unprofessional approach by this person who actually ended up shouting at me! She should be seriously reprimanded for this disgusting behaviour, who the hell does she think she is?
Came to A&E as an overseas patient in May for a broken ankle.

Staff were super kind and helpful with the entire process, from registration to xray, to discharge, and even calling me a taxi back to Bridgend train station when I needed to go back to Cardiff.

The nurses in triage and xray were so kind and patient with me, carefully assessing the situation and asking the right kind of questions. They also gave me all the required info and doctor's memos for me to see a specialist for follow-up in my home country.

Thank you to all the nurses/doctors who took care of me here!

Had a GP appointment with Doctor Kasha and Heather. Could not have asked for a better appointment. Both members of staff were so friendly and made me feel so at ease. Did not have to wait long at all for the appointment and all members of staff we encountered were extremely helpful and welcoming. Thank you so much!

Staff here is brilliant and helpful. Rachel in outpatients, in the blood tests room, was exceptionally kind, on 21st May 24. If it was up to me, I'd do everything to retain such lovely staff and reward their professionalism. ❤️

Five years ago, they saved my life, and the life of my unborn child. Without the professionalism and efficiency we would’ve both died due to the Serious nature of my medical emergency. I was treated with respect, care And the best medical care over a period of two days. Since then I have been back to have an operation on my carpal tunnel and again experienced great care and professionalism.
On my first visit to Hereford macmillan renton unit I was impressed at how clean and spotless the clinic was on entering. the service was quick no long waiting staff were friendly and professional.
The treatment and service from the dedicated nursing staff is faultless.
The post covid system of distributing the patient lists between our hospitals in the area was a very sensible and practical idea that has boosted the proficiency and quality of the care and services.
Eternally thankful for our NHS
The staff at the mcmillian Renton unit are very aring and considerate. The service they give there patients us beyond excellent care. Tjis is from my own personal experience.
Does what it says on the tin.

Wonderful staff. I found them to be caring and professional. They also aim to personalise the treatment to put the patient at the centre of their care. Highly recommended.
I was only admitted last night, so I may need to update this at a later date. But as yet, the hospital is clean, tidy, new-ish, well run, nice food, large rooms and bathrooms, great big windows in the room - so loads of natural light, free WiFi, comfy beds, polite/knowledge doctors, great nurses, and helpful HCAs.

One thing that does worry me a little, is the fact that a lot of the HCAs and nurses, are recruited from places such as SE Asia, Africa, and the Pacific. Now this isn't a problem, until it comes to patients and staff talking to one another and trying to understand what each other is saying. I'm saying this with hint of humour, as I love meeting people from different cultures. But, it does honestly get trying when having to continually having to repeat ones self, or asking a member of NHS staff too. Surely, all it needs, is for spoken English skills to be higher up the recruitment requirements?

After all, I'd hate to leave here without my left arm, when all I came for is to have it set in a cast h for example! 🤣

So far, I'm very impressed! 👍

With the NHS generally at breaking point for several reasons and the mental health side of things especially so, whether it's just a doctor's appointment or regular psychiatrist appointments, it like getting blood out of a stone at the moment.....that's why it's reassuring to know that if you've urgent need of treatment there's no better place than the Royal Glam MH unit, they'll find a place for you, all the staff giving their best.
Attended Renton unit for first time today with my husband. Staff absolutely amazing. Very welcoming and took the time to reassure my husband about his treatment. Nothing was to much trouble for them.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. It took a while to find, but hopefully with this new listing, it will be easier for people. On arrival your temperature is taken.

Parking was not too bad. The Outpatients Department is located down a path on the left hand side, a short way after entering County hospital's grounds.
Can’t praise Dr. Thomas enough. Excellent “bedside manner” and she took all my health concerns very seriously and has made appropriate referrals. The nurses, the dispensary and the reception staff have never been anything other than friendly and helpful.
The NHS is struggling generally, which must be extremely frustrating for the staff who are trying to give the best service possible. Berating them is unfair in my opinion - anger and frustration is best directed where it belongs, at the funding source!
I have been a patient at this incredible surgery for many years now and the experience of all the staff as a team are incredible.
Doctors, nurses , receptionists, dispensary etc are all fantastic and have given impeccable service to not only myself but as a family.
Dr Liz Ashley deserves a medal for her service she has given personally to me with the chronic conditions of health I have, that are complex. Her support and kindness amongst that of the other Doctors in her absence, ( Dr Stone 💝 Dr Thomas 💝 Dr Davis 💝 ) have been and are just incredible.
Couldn’t have coped or continue to cope without Dr Ashley’s highly expert advice and knowledge.
Saddens me to see there is a defaming report, as truly she is extremely kind and goes above and beyond to help.
The pressure all the staff are under is unbelievable and despite this as a practice they are exceptional!
Without all of their kindness and support life wouldn’t be manageable!!!
I know this as since coming to the surgery it’s because of the support given that life has improved to be bare able rather than unbareable.....
Thank You 🙏 so much to you all for your exceptional team work and care. Truly couldn’t do this without your help.

Would especially like to again Thank Dr Liz Ashley for being an Angel 😇 💝🙏💝
💕Love Blessings and Best wishes to you all. 💝🙏💝
I'm very grateful for all the help that I've received myself and also all the help and support that is continuously provided to my baby boy. I've seen all doctors and nurses in the practice on numerous occasions. All of them are very helpful and I've never had an issue speaking to a doctor or getting an appointment. The reception staff, dispensary staff and nurses are also very friendly and willing to help you. I've also received referrals (urgent and non-urgent) to hospital consultants when needed. Thank you for your hard work and support!
