Having tried over 10hrs on the phone to find out the condition of my wife's mother. As we're 300 miles away it very stressful. Today was no difference hours on the phone. Such a disgrace. Would be quicker to drive the 300 miles. These reviews mean nothing as no one takes any notice or action
Very poor service for patients at the cardiology unit. Patients ambulanced in having cardiac arrest are wheeled through the cafeteria and reception area in full view of outpatients. Patients catching taxis at the front entrance have to walk about 50 feet and there is little outside seating, shelter or lighting. This is a safety and accessibility issue for patients who are frail and unwell, especially during darker and colder evenings. My granny is nearly 90 and her appointments are always an ordeal for her and my mum and I.

My mum herself is a patient, diagnosed with Long QT Syndrome, they mixed up her patient records with someone else's and wanted to prescribe beta blockers (despite the side effects) because apparently a pacemaker would be too expensive. Seems like they want to dole out medications as an easy fix. They told my mum she has a life-threatening condition yet she's been left without contact for months.

I have my own cardiac issues but I don't think I'd want to be a patient here, even if the doctors are good.
I was referred to thoracic medicine here, first I had a telephone appointment of around 10 minutes. The letter regarding this to my GP had multiple errors on it, drugs I have never been on, said I had no allergies, but I do. It said I wasn't breathless, but I am, why would I want to see them if I wasn't?
Simple respiratory tests were ordered and I was seen by my consultant just to be told I'm fat, I asked 3 times about a chest x-ray, he said it was fine, I walked out a bit gob smacked, having given up my job, nearly losing my house due to my symptoms and this Dr had not even ordered an x-ray ! What a waste of time, and what a lazy diagnosis
Avoid this practice at all costs your health is at serious risk they do not care about patient wellbeing they are only interested in collecting there government handouts.they also refused to rebook an appointment for cataracts this means mum is practically blind.
From the moment my partner dialled 999 at 3am for a heart block . Within a matter of minutes the Ambulance crew were on scene and by all accounts were brilliant, to the treatment I received at A& E and the two wards I was on to discharge this hospital and all the staff I came into contact with excelled .
My treatment and the all the people who looked after me were second to none.
I cannot thank them enough
Fantastic treatment at the Memorial hospital. From beginning to end it was exactly as it should be..a joined up/informative experience where I was kept up to date and given the information I needed and in a way I could understand.Thank you Memorial for caring for me and the others that you see on a daily basis.
Had an op at the day surgery centre yesterday. Very clean, friendly staff couldn’t do more. Brand new building with lots of excellent new equipment. Beds were comfortable and most of the seats available in the waiting areas not bad either.
Of what I saw of the theatre (mostly the ceiling!) it was bright, spacious and well equipped. Staff explained everything throughout, thank you.
Appalling, if they had 6 staff on then where were they? The individual I eventually saw didn’t know how to use the required equipment and didn’t complete the referral letter correctly
They close at 8, at 6 a ‘nurse’ appeared and changed the 2.5 hour wait sign to a 4 hour wait sign to ‘put people off staying’ so they could finish at 8.
God help you if you’re very sick !
A once wonderful GP that seems to have fallen prey to privatisation.

Before, it was simple to walk through the door and book an appointment - now you have to have to go via private provider to check whether or not the kind of appointment you're looking for is 'free.'

It made my blood run cold seeing £ signs next to certain treatments.

There was once a time when you could simply ask for an appointment and allow your GP to assess what the issue and go from there.

Now, you have to self-assess (even if you're not entirely sure what your issue may be) and the 'Private Care' option tells you 'just go to this place - they charge £xx for that.'

This is why the NHS needs protecting.

I give two stars, because when I do manage to get in there, the staff are lovely - it's just a shame what's happened to the place.
Terrible hospital which is a shame because it used to be one of the best. 6 hours in a&e to be seen for severe back pain. No offer for pain relief just left to sit there. When you ask the receptionists a question you clearly are being inconvenient. I asked how many people are in front of me and she said loads of people because there is a lot of poorly people, basically saying that I didn’t matter. I witnessed a person with piles get seen before a little girl who clearly needed attention for her cough but obviously they didn’t see it as a priority, I witnessed a drunk female with a cut on her lip come in and out within 30 minutes whilst a lady sat there wincing in pain in a wheelchair. Honestly this place is absolutely horrible. I was sent a text when I first arrived advising of an approx 3.20 wait! Almost 6 hours and still here. Please don’t waste your time with this place it’s full riff raff and jumped up staff who think they’re god! Oh but if you know the receptionist like one patient did you’ll get seen very quickly!
My sincere appreciation and gratitude are extended to the doctors, nurses and support staff of Ward 1 for the excellent and compassionate care extended to my husband Richard. The professionalism and level of care could not be faulted. Moyra Woodward
Low rating, if you are Self-funded Outpatient. The hospital is superb in terms of efficiency and professionalism, BUT their fees are three times the fees of comparable clinics. If you can rely on private insurance, go ahead and get a consultation, if not please do research about prices before getting an appointment booked.
My father had open heart surgery aged 90 years old. He was very active he swam and had an allotment. He was having small heart attacks he decided he was not going to have surgery. My sister and l said we would support any decision he decided. He was talked into by a surgeon how better life would be and he would not die of heart attack. The staff w he slipped amazing they would do some washing and get him news papers etc. it was during the pandemic so we could not see him. He came home and l stayed for two weeks he was gradually getting stronger each day. My sister came to
Look after him. He was still having mini heart attack’s he slipped through the net and he was not monitored by Gp or castle hill. He was never the same he could not swim or walk far or do his allotment causing depression. He died -18 months later heart attack in his home. I miss him terribly he was so thankful to the nursing staff for their care
Service all round was very good. Except there is no clarity about billing aspects. Will I get a bill? a receipt? Or are the charges deducted from my credit card? And if so, will I get confirmation anda receipt? None of this was made clear.
Felt valued and listened too. Full explanation of my options and gave me hope that my condition can be fixed. Mr David Bell is a wonderful consultant.
I can’t have asked for a better experience.
I went in for an initial consultation and was expecting a turnaround/wait of around a month for a surgery required post-consultation.
Dr Leslie was able to organise a same-day surgery for me which was fantastic, especially considering that my issue had been ongoing for a year (due to NHS being unable to operate for ‘necessity’ reasons).
The staff were also most helpful with assisting me with contacting my health insurance provider to speed up the claims processing, as this is usually a 4-day process. Roger was fantastic and is an asset to the team.
Miss Mohanna was brilliant and led me through the surgery in a professional and courteous manner.
A huge thank you to everyone!
This hospital like the Grange should be investigated because night time staff are cruel, shouting at mentally ill elderly people and putting voice chargers by them and laughing. This will go to tv and news soon, i have a relative who is under care and for some reason being shoved right out the way

A well organised hospital. Staff so friendly, professional and full of information. There’s a well run cafe and shop. Really clean with plenty of sanitizer areas. Masks available on entry. As a disabled badge holder, I would welcome more spaces for the needy.
I attended HCA at The Shard last week and can say I was very impressed. On entering the building I was greeted and given directions to my appointment. Once at the reception area I met with a very pleasant receptionist who took my details. I took a seat and was then met by my consultant, Mr Tavakkolizadeh. During my consultation I received the greatest of care and understanding. Everything was clearly explained to me and I left feeling very optimistic.
There is a new A&E department which we have unfortunately had to visit twice this past week with our 14 month old with RSV. Very modern, seen by triage fast and the nurses we met on the second time were amazing. A&E was rather crowded both times but given the time of year it can’t be helped. The reason I haven’t given 5 stars is due to an incident that happened in the main car park on our second trip. We were stuck in there for half an hour, it was grid locked. I got out my car to the only exit barrier to find a very unprofessional security guard arguing with a doctor about paying for parking. He was being extremely rude and condescending to the doctor and even swore at her. A group of people had gathered out of our cars and were trying to reason with the security guard. I asked politely for him to allow her through the barriers and park up outside because of the grid lock in the car park, so the 60-70 plus cars waiting could get out, this was ignored and they continued to argue. Me and my partner were ill and our 14 month old was in the car with RSV all waiting and we needed to go and get medication for her and I needed to get back to work. People weren’t able to park to get to their appointments, woman who had just given birth were having to struggle through the car park to get to their cars. It was ridiculous! After a lot of shouting from the crowd that gathered the doctor inched over so that the car park could empty. Eventually the security guards let the doctor out and the car park cleared but not before having one last shouting match with the doctor before she exited the car park. I have never seen anything like it and hopefully that security guard has been fired.
I had a consultation with Dr S. Mohamed was really pleased with the service I received, made me fill that everything I wanted was no problem. Staff when booking were excellent and spent time explaining what is involved and answering the many questions I had, which I never really got with other companies I had contacted.

Not had the operation yet, but if the standard stays consistent, then I will highly recommend.
The staff were superb, professional to the enth degree and immediately understanding just why l had attended to have my "wounds" dealt with . I can't praise them enough!
Genuinely couldn’t ask for a better hospital. Been a few times now and the staff are always extremely helpful, friendly and thorough. They always make sure you’re comfortable, feeling okay and detail anything they are about to do. Not once have I left feeling disappointed. Wait times are always a quick turn around, especially compared to Medway.
My elderly mother was admitted to this hospital on Saturday. I can only say that her treatment was first class and that I was not ignored by anyone while accompanying her. I myself have been treated at this hospital and my treatment was second to none. Thanks for to every one of the staff for your caring and professionalism.

It's a great hospital and has been extensively renovated with the addition of a brand-new, more spacious, and I think a better waiting room, in the newly-named Urgent & Emergency Care Centre. I've just returned home from there, and couldn't believe the transformation of the place. It's pretty impressive. No more cramped old waiting room and overspill corridor. I felt strange in the new place at first, but it's a necessary upgrade.
Absolutely amazing at this hospital from the moment I got here to now as I'm still in atm, I was given a private room which was so lovley aslo all the staff have gone above & beyond for me & have made my stay comfortable & well cared for & I've never felt like I wasn't supposed to be there or I had no right unlike many other hospitals ive had surgery in. I've had orthoscopic knee surgery & on times it's been painful but fp to the doctors & nurses they've kept on top of my pain management & helped me so much. I've never said this before about a hospital as I have never had no real reason to but the orthopaedic surgical unit is immaculate & all the lovely ladies keep it that way every single day, make sure we are well fed & drinks all of the time last fresh water every few hours cannot fault them at all. My surgeon & his colleagues made me feel so at ease whilst having my knee surgery before & after they made sure I was not suffering & constantly checked on me even days after the surgery . What more can I say other than this hospital Saint Woolos is the cleanest most caring environment /hospital I have ever been to. Everyone I want to thankyou all so much for your continued support throughout my time spent with you you're all so lovely & absolutely amazing THANKYOU SO MUCH LOVE AMANDA X X X X
Recently brought my 5 year old daughter to the children's c1 paediatrics, badger pod. Considering it's a children's ward the staff had no people skills and felt like everything was a chore. They were very unapproachable and felt like you were putting them out with every request. To make my daughter feel better we went to the play room, whilst on the way we asked a group of 3 nurses where the playroom was. One of them rolled her eyes, tutted and pointed with a face like thunder. Its not asking much for basic common decency, just a smile or basic manners to help with such an already stressful situation. The exception was Courtney from the badger ward who was extremely friendly towards my daughter and couldn't do enough to reassure my daughter and ourselves.
I would give zero stars if possible. My husband was referred by the gp to see trauma and orthopaedics, was told to go to a and e as they were expecting him. Waited 3 hours to be triaged even though the gp had already done this. Nurses did his obs in numerous occasions for no apparent reason but after 8 hours, he gave in. The doctor he needed to see apparently had to deal with the whole hospital and was currently taking a patient to surgery. Clearly if this is what's happening, then another doctor should be available to see patients whilst the other is performing surgery. Considering a lot of staff have relocated from other hospitals, which all seemed to run quicker than this one, it makes you wonder what's going wrong. There were over 200 patients waiting to be triaged or to see a clinician when he got there but there was still 188 when he left (many people had left beforehand) absolute shambolic, I feel sorry for the many people who had waited longer
I was taken to a&e they really have to sort the department out. I had sharp stomach pains to do with this stomach condition I've got. I've never been so shocked in my life. I was there 17 hours .There were people lying on the floor in agony. Never ever going there again. The staff were absolutely lovely running around felt so sorry for them. It's just not organised very well. I went in for bloods then I had to go back in the waiting room waited another 4 hours that I had to go back in for blood pressure back to the waiting room. Another few hours. More .blood tests back to the waiting room. More hours than I had tell them what was wrong. If you tell somebody your problem all at once. Have your blood test and all up once. And you blood pressure. You could have been out of the so much quicker
Mr Arun Sahai is the best medical professional I have ever had the pleasure to be treated by. His expertise and professionalism is unrivalled. His secretary Jeanette Bush cannot do more for his patients, her response times are amazing and all the help and assistance she offers is fantastic. Desire the anaesthetist for both of my surgeries was also fantastic, she made me feel so comfortable and relaxed at such an anxious time. Larissa the physical I saw for 3 sessions also explained and gave me so much understanding and is so knowledgable and helped me with things that is didn’t even realise were related or a problem. Every test that was carried out no matter how uncomfortable, I was treated with the upmost respect and made to feel as comfortable and reassured as I possibly could be. After my procedure learning about the divorce fitted was so smooth as Rebecca explained everything perfectly. Not only to myself but to my boyfriend who was with me. The level of experience and reassurance and confidence I was given from this entire experience is unbelievable. Considering this was for a troubling medical issue that made all parts of my life so difficult and such a struggle I cannot be happier with the outcome and that is due to everyone i encountered. I cannot thank everyone enough and show my appreciation. The issue I had, I had minimal confidence it could be helped and I would be stuck with it and thanks to Mr Sahai and all his team I have had a 100% success, I couldn’t have asked for more.
Was transferred here from Nevill hall in severe pain in abdomen, couldn’t walk, was being sick and was in wheelchair.
I was sent to the SDEC unit. What a shambles, I was put in a recliner chair and saw a dr who said I needed pain relief. Didn’t get it for two hours. Was then hooked up to a drip given oramorph and codine and half a cup of water, I asked for more it was never given. Hours with nothing to drink!

The doctor came to see me at 7pm and said they shut the unit at 8 so I could go home or over the the SAU, she said I would have to sit in the waiting room in a chair and would have to wait upto 48 hours for a bed.
Basically begged me to leave, by telling me I’d be in a chair and uncomfortable and would be better off in my own house, she also then suggested I leave and come back when they open in the morning and resume treatment.

She then looked at my drip and realised it had three hours to go so turned it up to go through faster, when she realised it wasn’t going to empty she just said you don’t need to finish that and took it out of my arm and discarded it half way through my treatment.

I went home crying in pain and still in pain with no answers. I have to go for a scan Monday in Nevill hall now because I still have no idea what the problem is.
What’s the point of an emergency care unit that closes at 8 and practically kicks you out with no answers?
The amount of staff who walked passed when o was being sick and crying and just ignored me was unbelievable! Most of the staff were really rude and didn’t even acknowledge you.

This is supposed to be a state of the art hospital it’s a joke.

At the present time I’m still in bed at home with the pain and no better.

ONLY GO HERE IF YOU WANT TO BE LEFT IN AGONY FOR HOURS ON END WITH NO WATER, WAITING HOURS FOR MEDICATION AND THEN KICKED OUT BEFORE THEY CLOSE STILL IN AGONY AND CRYING BECAUSE THEY CANT GET YOU A BED AND THE ALTERNATIVE IS SITTING IN A CHAIR FOR UPTO TWO DAYS! THEY GENUINELY DONT CARE!i
Information regularly lost, or not communicated to me. Prescription requests taking upwards of 2 weeks to be dealt with, ended up at the emergency doctors at hospital due to a doctor refusing to see me in person and would only offer a phone call, despite my history.
Giving stars only because Sister Debbie is brilliant.
I had to go for a foot injury and saw a lovely male triage nurse, he was very thorough and explained everything in detail, couldn't have wished for better. Thank you.
I can't thank the entire staff enough at Neville Hall Hospital. I arrived with a broken arm and i was seen to extremely quickly by triage. From there, I was sent to x-ray immediately. I was so lucky to have my x-ray assessed by Sarah, who couldn't have been more understanding to my needs. Everything that was going to happen to me was explained beautifully and Sarah, Rich, Ryan, Helen and Ann Marie were superb with my treatment. I am ever-so grateful to them x
The maternity staff were brilliant. I had such a positive birth experience in July 2023. The rooms were spotless! I felt that all staff were supportive before and after birth. Thank you ladies!

The team at the ENT/breast ward were incredible what a kind, positive, friendly bunch of staff. Nothing was too much trouble! I have never been so well looked after. My room was spotless and the food was amazing too! God bless the NHS angels.
I would like to express my grateful thanks to all the nursing and theatre staff in the day surgery unit for their kindness and care during my recent proceedure. You put me at ease and made the day a good experience. Thank you all.
Receptionist very rude, took my son here yesterday his ear burst looked on wait less app and this come up closes at 8pm so rushed there got there at 10 past 7 and she asked how she could help I explained and she was like no LOVE you need to be here before 8pm it was 7.10pm we have people in the waiting room and all out the back I said OK no worries we tried sheerness on way threw but was shut at 6.30 and she was like well no love we can't help you need to be here before 8, there was people in the waiting room she was really raising her voice and saying it with such anger I found it very rude, unfortunately I didn't no my sons ear was going to burst secondly don't advertise shuts at 8pm when you turn people away who arrive at 7.10

I think a little bit of extra training is needed big woman brown hair glasses sat on the desk didn't get her name but would suit Karen....
Thorough, professional, helpful and optimum care. I cannot fault this surgery if it wasn't for the staff and communication at this surgery I would have been very poorly. Thankyou to all the staff here
So I was told to go to A&E as I was having trouble with my breathing and told by 111 it was an emergency so would be seen right away. From 6pm to 4am, I was sat in a stuffy and overcrowded room with over 100 people. We was all told that food would be brought out due to the fact that people had been there for 10-11 hours and counting. After 1.5 hours still nothing. The staff are friendly but under so much pressure. I ended up going home after 10 hours without my results due to the fact the waiting time had gone upto an extra 9 hours. I don't know how you can leave a hospital feeling worse and have more excruciating symptoms but you can.
*EDIT*
Ended up back in A&E due to having an asthma attack and the staff are absolutely amazing as usual, however , it's very busy and they are ran off their feet.

I put the staff in Ward 27 under pressure because of the severity of my injuries. All I can say is they were all brilliant, patient, very very professional in my treatment, helpful, careful and worthy of the highest praise I can give them all. Thank you all so very very much for looking after me. (The grumpy Jock with the broken ribs) x x

I had a bilateral mastectomy here and had an excellent experience. Mr Wooler and his surgical team were fantastic, professional and friendly, and the nurses took excellent care of me. The food was also great which was an added bonus. I felt very safe in my stay here
Had a lumpectomy for BC there yesterday on Day surgery Ward . I cannot fault the staff from
Nurses to porters to theatre staff . Nothing was too much trouble for them , theatre staff went out if their way to put me at ease and make me laugh . Nurses were really cut out for the job so caring and nothing was too much trouble . They definitely aren’t paid enough . I hear so much bad press of this hospital my first stay here as was always Prince Charles hospital but I’d definitely give this 5/5 stars
I was a bit worried about going here after reading the negative reviews but I needn't have been!

Reception desks were friendly, helpful and polite. I had completed the pre registration online and didn't need to re do this as some people have stated, for me the process was very smooth and efficient.

I arrived early for my appointment and I was actually seen way ahead of schedule so there was zero wait time.

Dr. Tabi Leslie was extremely reassuring, knowledgeable and thorough. She even called the office for the next consultant she recommended as a follow up there and then during my appointment. I didn't feel rushed or dismissed and she answered any of my questions in clear terms without any medical jargon.

For my visit there was nothing that could be improved! Thank you
I brought my 80 year old mum to the surgery yesterday, no appointment. She was struggling to breathe and had the most horrendous chesty cough.
The amazing Sister Jackie saw her. I can’t tell you how grateful I am to you Jackie. You treated my mum with such kindness. Antibiotics sorted and chest X-ray completed. Thank you Jackie you are an 😇. With deepest gratitude Danielle and Carole
I had reason to go to A&E at the Grange today. What an incredible experience. They attended to me so quickly and did every possible test to ascertain what the diagnosis was. The hospital was incredibly busy yet every single staff member and doctor were nothing short of fantastic! Thorough, explained what they were doing at every stage and kept reassuring me. Sooooo impressed THE GRANGE!!! WELL DONE.
I went to the memorial hospital on father's day and was met by amazing lady who the time to listen and booked me in having lost my husband and she her father it was going to be a hard day,was seen by triage quickly then assessed by a lovely man who said I needed x ray results not great but better than hoped this department was fantastic caring and kind well done
I called 200 times this morning to book an urgent appointment as they offered it at 8:00 am. But they never answer even after 200 times trying within an hour time I could not get through the line. What a great service they providing us! if you attend physically they always ask to called next morning and this is the situation when people calling them next morning.
It's a really difficult to get appointments or see a doctor. Staff are asking go to A&E. They do not need to tell us to go. Emergency mean emergency. When none emergency then asking to go to A&E. How comes? This is a one of the worse place I have seen since I join the GP. Why keep open this GP. better to close this place.
I have been a patient at this doctors since birth. I have never ever known a service as totally unacceptable as this. It is impossible to even speak to someone on the phone never mind get an appointment. Relentless ringing day after day still gets you nowhere. It’s so poor.

The orthopaedic surgical ward made a stay for my husband as comfortable as possible. There was always someone available when anything was needed, was very well cared for and not forced to do anything that he wasn’t ready to do.
It was very quiet as it was bank holiday weekend and there were not a lot of patients on the ward so he had a private room with en-suite. The physios were lovely and very helpful. Fans were also provided as it was very hot.
The ward was absolutely spotless and the cleaners were always there ensuring it stayed that way. The nursing staff were very nice as were the health care assistants.
Only loss of a star is for the food which was ok but not very appetising. Also parking is a nightmare (as with any other hospital)

Went to GP with one issue he quickly noted that something more significant was going on and got me admitted straight away. 7hours in assessment unit waiting room before xray and on to ward but not really worried. Next few days on respiratory ward fine, staff brilliant procedures explained and discharged with ongoing plan. How they cope, goodness knows people far worse than me being given outstanding care.
Been in this GP from 2017.
Never once had a appointment on time.
It's always late 15m to 1hour.
Today had phone appointment doctor calls 2 times one I pick second goes straight to voicemail message left to reschedule with in less than a minute from initial call.
Call GP after 50m receptionist picks the call asking if I'm gurtinder something I say no, hangs up straight on my face.
Call second time 35 m until pick the call I explain everything receptionist says I don't know it wasn't me so anyways your date of birth.
Every time more rude and disrespectful.
Putts me on hold when I refuse to reschedule for 9 days after my original appointment.
Just to put someone else to say if I don't accept then there's no appointment.
Request letter with regards of doctor appointment it cannot be given only by appointment.

Day surgery unit,carpal tunnel surgery
I cannot thank enough everyone who involved my wrist surgery.
The lady on the reception, every staff on the unit and of course Dr Walker and his team.
I felt myself like I’m in a 5 star hotel not in a hospital.
I’m more than appreciated your hard work
Many thanks
Although we parked a fair way from where we were meant to be (Entrance1) The staff member at the other assessment unit gave us a map and directions to where we needed to be (Entrance 2) Nice Airy waiting area with relaxed calming atmosphere and professional friendly staff.
U call to book appointment & after a wait of 15mins, the receptionist ask me to fill form online rather it could have taken less than a min just to book me in ( I wonder what they are there for ). NHS seriously needs to pull their socks.
After GP referral;
Good team in the Med Assessment Unit, X-Ray, CT Scan units. Nurses, support staff/porters and the Doctors.
Felt like I went through the works of tests over the day - necessary - and always making progress.
Very easy to trust this team to help.
Thank you.
Took my 5 year old to minor injuries this morning she had a fall and hurt her foot. They was absolutely amazing with her even down to the man that was doing the X ray. I have been to walk in hospitals doctors with my little girl and never had a experience as good as I did today, was really quick and easy and didn’t let us leave until they double checked everything and kept her smiling the whole way through. I am still in shock now with how good they all was. Amazing thank you all.
Has a great diabetes team

I am a patient at the dermatologist unit and I have no bad word to say about them. I have been going back and forth for many years, it started with a consultation and during this time, it didn't feel like the doctors and nurses were there JUST to do a job, they actually care and understand how mentally draining and how much stress a skin condition can cause and they always show empathy no bad how light/bad my flare up is. After I had finished my light therapy treatment, I was given a direct line and if I ever call, I leave a voice mail and I am guaranteed to get a call back within 48 hours, I think the doctor's name is Leila? (Sorry I didn't quite catch it) but she is INCREDIBLE, actually the most lovely person to chat to and she is so caring, kind, understanding and helpful - always.

I attended the Morgan Therapy Unit. The unit looked cleaned and everything was going well until the doctor walked in. Dr P ( a young man ) was dismissive , arrogant, and abrupt. Practically called me a liar. I told the nurse I didn't want to see him again. I put a complaint in within half an hour with the hospital. One week later NO ONE has got back to me.
If I could give zero stars I would. I saw a doctor with regards to my child who prescribed medicine. When I went to the pharmacy to pick it up, the pharmacies couldn’t release the medicine due to the doctor giving for lots of the same medicine. I spoke with the reception at the surgery who advised me that the doctor was unavailable. Another doctor release the prescription and I picked it up from the pharmacist who advised me to give to 5ml spoon three times a day. I receive a text message from the doctor changing the dosage to which had already given him the 10ml. This is absolutely disgusting, it could’ve been very serious if I had overdosed him Following the doctors instructions. All I got was an apology from the nurse who didn’t understand why this had happened. If I could change my surgery, I would in a heartbeat
I was admitted to Nevill Hall just before Christmas (2022) and spent 8 days there (pneumonia/chest infection). Although one doesn't relish the thought of a hospital stay (especially not over Christmas) I have to say that the staff (particularly Faye and the rest of the team on ward 4/4 ) went out of their way to make the stay as comfortable as possible, and particularly on Christmas Day with the visit of 'Santa' and his helper! The care was excellent, the staff very efficient but with a great deal of professionalism, dignity, friendliness and humour too. A special mention too regarding the food, which I believe is prepared on site. Very varied, well presented and excellent taste, my compliments to the catering manager and staff. My thanks to you all.

I have been a patient at this surgery for years. Over the last few years they have become beyond terrible. I really need a call back from a doctor; I ring EVERY day at 8am and half an hour later I am STILL waiting to get through! I am usually at position 1 or 2 but none of the receptionists bother to answer the phone! They are busy dealing with people coming in to the surgery but shouldn’t there be another receptionist answering the phones?
I am desperate to get a call back and it’s just impossible.
I have even tried going in when I can but got no where. I basically told the receptionist I really need someone to talk to but they just aren’t interested.
I am on hold once again as I am typing this but no one is bothering to answer my call. It’s just impossible.
No wonder the reviews on here are terrible. I think it’s time to find another doctors. Someone that actually cares about their patients and well-being.
UPDATE; I just got through and was told by a VERY rude receptionist the doctor I needed to speak to isn’t in until next week. She was so unhelpful and even laughed down the phone when I told her I try every day and struggle to get through! DISGUSTING.
We moved into this year last year and my husband joined this GP surgery only recently. OMG..what a terrible service from reception to GP. There is no face to face appointment. GP made one call (telephone) while my husband was driving (at work). He was told to pull off with passengers in his car. The GP never called back. He called reception and waited 45 minutes on the line. They should close this surgery.
My mum had hip replacement surgery recently (October 2022) and the care, attention and kindness she was shown throughout her stay was amazing. Covid restrictions meant visitors were limited but, the reassurance from the nursing team and my mum’s feelings of being looked after and ‘nothing being too much trouble’ put all of us at ease. A huge thank you from the family of the patient in Room OW 67, Bed 6 to all the St Woolos team - to the nurses, doctors and the catering team. You are very much appreciated 😊
Just come home from having a hip replacement on the Orthopaedic Surgical Unit and I can't speak highly enough of the care I received there.
Every one of the Staff team was outstanding, they were efficient, well organised and yet their attitude was so caring and personal.
The food also was excellent with home cooked food and lots of choices.
Thank you so much Team OSU.
Appalling, pathetic and arrogant behaviour by the staff. The lady who want to take blood test was in a rush and although we went early for our appointment she was keen stating that she wants to leave in 5 minutes. She was very rude with my child. Because she was in a threatening mood she scared my child off.and didn't take the test. My child came back crying. I complained to the staff in the reception. But looking at the reviews I'm not the only one treated in this way. I don't even know if the practice manager cares about well being of this surgery.
I haven't been with this GP for very long at all but I have had two separate issues that I have needed to see them for and both of the GPs just couldn't have been any more prompt and helpful. Yes they are very busy and perhaps you won't get an appointment the very same day but both times the doctors called me the next working day and following our discussions they got me to come into the practice, once the following day and once on the very same day! Compared to my old GP practice, the doctors here actually listen to you and don't just try to get rid of you as quickly as possible. They are also super friendly (doctors at my old GP were so cold and unapproachable!!) so I am beyond happy to be with this GP. So much so that this is the first time ever that I am writing a review, I really felt my positive experience with them was just really worth sharing!
Poor start or absolutely run off their feet. My son went in yesterday 10am with excruciating headache they put him on painkillers and IV antibiotics. He needed a lumbar puncture, after being told it would be taking place first thing next day, he was left waiting over 9hours.... however, all staff friendly and visiting easy with single rooms

**** Review edit August 2022****
Im sorry to say The Grange has not improved at all. The aesthetically pleasing and mostly single rooms, all with TVs (but no remotes... I bought my own but wrestled to keep it?!). I am a spinal surgery patient and the ward struggled with my care. Most staff are v.friendly, but a lack of awareness of spinal patients is clear. My table or call bell would be left unreachable. Food leaves alot to be desired (dont ever order soup!) and mostly freezing cold. I was washed, not covered and Drs walked in, busy staff cant answer call bells & Id was left covered in excrement with the door open?! There was excrement flicked up the light &walls, this was reported &not cleaned (I imagine its still there now). My physio went from every day at The Heath hospital (who I simply could not fault) to 3x week or less with low staffing levels here.... the list goes on. I am writing to them, not to complain, but so they are made aware. Something needs to change.
They look down at you i worked all my life they treat you like you dont no anything ,no caring about Patient, you work in GP to help people right, they don't know how the system works, I been in coma from car accident been told I can't work by UC dwp and everyone. But still need a sick note they didn't give me one every quarter, the government ask for sick even though they know you cant work you still need to get one every so often the GP has no idea how the system works someone needs to show them, DO NOT JOIN THIS Practice. I told them I can't feed my famliy with this note they didn't care imagine that. And I worked all.my life to be treated like this, I just found out the owners the doctors they don't care what you have to say they taking all your money who joins from the government all tax payes money, DO NOT JOIN boycott this place NHS is paying them all that money you can't even get hold of them doctors don't care all about money

Parts of the hospital could do with a fresh lick of paint and the parking is a nightmare which are the only reasons I’ve knocked a star off. The staff are lovely and welcoming and my treatment here was fantastic. I visited a few times a week for a few weeks and quite enjoyed seeing a familiar face. Lovely hospital just don’t try and find a parking space within 20mins.
