On my visit the pro Phil was arrogant unwelcoming. It's a shame because the course was nice .the Marshall was a great lad . Will probably not come back due to the poor customer service I'm the paying customer so should be treated well . I
My first time here, was a really good course friendly members and went round with a guy who is a member called Dan also on his own, he was really helpfull , fantastic only bad thingvto stop givingbit 5 stars is the fact could only play 11 holes would love to have played the full 18 but otherwise really good
Surprised to find this place so near to where we live....so nice and clean and up dated....nice bar menu and prices very reasonable...will recommend this place to our friends...don't have to be a member to come here for coffee or lunch or evening meal....we will visit here again very soon.
Played here many times now . Offers great value for money , and although quite a short course , it offers plenty of challenges to even the best golfer. The 4th hole is a very tricky par 3, with maximum precision needed, and a few sneaky ditches in front of the green to catch you out.
BUSY! Took 2.5hours to do 6 holes on the weekend. Crammed in tee times, big groups and low standard of golfers really slowed up play. Often had to queue on tees.

Played a society game Friday 6th October. Course in very good condition. We were lucky with the weather. Staff and members all very friendly. Will definitely return.
Stopped off for lunch on a rainy day after seeing social media posts. Had a lovely English Breakfast (couldn't resist even at lunchtime) Beautiful location and ideal place for a pint inside or outside regardless of the weather.
A hidden gem, I really enjoyed playing this course. Great views on the back nine. The only thing that let it down was the 17th, which is a bit messy as it is being redeveloped.
Lovely course and not too busy early in the morning too. Fairways im great condition and big, fast greens. Very hilly!
A nice course ruined by poor maintenance. Be very careful playing out of the bunkers at this course. They’re full of rocks and as a result, I put a nice big chip in one of my irons. One to avoid in it’s current state!
Been playing here in opens for a number of years, unfortunately greens had been micro tined, not fully recovered for seniors pairs open.. also price has shot through the roof,£120 per pair!!!

A fantastic golf course in immaculate condition. A warm welcome from the pro shop and clubhouse staff.

A good day dodged the rain could have played better but hospitality is good as is the big slice of cake that is mandatory in my book
First time visiting Epsom Golf Club and our last. We got out as a 2 ball in the pouring rain. The pro shop was welcoming enough. The course is in an ok condition, the greens are good, however there are so many dog walkers around, and the cars from the roads make for a distraction.
The signposting on the course is terrible and we often found ourselves walking to the wrong hole. This led to us being accused by elderly members of trying to steal a round, and when we complained about this rude behaviour, we were told “they’re only looking out for the club”.
It’s an old fashioned club full of old, creaky members who are no doubt all part of a neighbourhood watch alliance.
For £50 it’s not worth it.

Didn’t play golf but Stopped here for food whilst in the area, fantastic value for money. Big portions, tasty food and a very welcoming Club house. Friendly staff. If you are in the area then defo give this place a try.10/10
Visited today to go for a drink and meal to be told this is a members only club by the female who answered the door, your website clearly says we welcome all visitors and members to use our course and clubhouse facilities. Very disappointing and humiliating. Being a member of a golf club myself I know that golf clubs can offer great hospitality. Sadly not the case at trentham golf club.
Nice course but greens not in awful condition which for summer golf is not good enough. Also over booked. Booked for 9:37 and didn't start until after 10:00. They don't seem to allow slots for the people playing 18 for the second 9. Shame and put me off playing other Altonwood courses.
Fantastic golf course. First time I had played it for a couple of years. There had been a lot of changes from what I remember . The condition of the course is very good and the staff was very friendly

Visited in Summer. Nice enough golf course. Greens well looked after, only a fraction slower than I would normally play but very playable. Front 9 more interesting than the back 9. Not many par 5s, but overall I liked it. Would return.
The new club house is nice but the course is very long walking in-between tee to greens hard work ,but course was nice to play.
Well. Must be one of the most welcoming places in st austell. We do come here a lot and love to sit outside the clubhouse looking at the beautiful view

It's a decent course , a few nice holes , just could be alot better , don't play it after it's rained as it gets really boggy , but not bad for the green fee
Thanks very much for the hospitality shown to our small Golf Society yesterday (7/6/23). As the organiser for the day I found the communication with Phil and the Manor Team very easy. The welcome and quality of the breakfast rolls were excellent. The day itself. What can I say? All I can do is take one of the WhatsApp comments from our page. Great day, great course and weather, but how did you arrange the Flyover from the Spitfire? The course was in brilliant condition. We loved the elevated tees and greens. The day was won with a score of 35 points, which will tell you something about the features of the course. All in all, an essential venue for a Golf Society. We will definitely be back next year -many thanks. Winning Post GS.
Went to a private party here Large level car Easy level entrance Really nice inside an area with love comfortable sofas and a nice large table There were other nice tables with chairs placed around There is a floor area for discos as well The buffet we had was provided by them and it was very nice Staff were pleasant The toilet facilities were spacious and immaculately clean Overall a really nice place
I have only just got round to this...my review is for there venue 1461...the fabulous staff did my father's funeral wake, 29.11.22...a local business man...the attentative staff and buffet was beyond excellent, the setting beautiful, I imagine the walk around the golf course to be a pleasure, as I don't play!? Parking was plentiful, smart, clean setting, will be visiting again under happier times, well done to all involved

Conditions. Great playing as you have to think about what you’re doing, wind is a big part with roads and cars! Quite a lot of fun!
Downside is the greens weren’t great, very difficult to get the ball to grip on them and the fairways arent in great condition. Could have better sign posts and directions to holes. Great views on some holes which is a great addition! Will play again

My current club had a comp on so I decided to play at a different course. Like the website says it's not the longest course but does however challenge you to think about how to get round the course. Despite this time of year all the greens are in operation and it doesn't look like any winter greens are planned. Winter greens really puts me off my home course this time of year. Some of the scenes on different holes look great and I can only imagine how nice they look and play during spring and summer.
All players I past were friendly and spoke to me and my son for what was an enjoyable round.
Clubhouse facilities we didn't use but look really good and spacious. Pro shop was well stocked and the course even has its own mini practice range of 3 bays and 2 practice hitting nets.
Practice putting green was still operational also which again isn't at my home course.

Loved the course. I'll definitely be there again, had the summer sizzler to start the day, you can't go wrong.
Just brilliant. Played here for the first time since the major changes. What a fantastic course redesign and layout. The new holes have been built and designed beautifully. The course condition is excellent and the clubhouse is just wonderful.

Unfortunately the reconstructed first 5 holes detract from what was a most enjoyable course. More like a links course with vast areas GUR. Long walks from greens to the next tee and significant lengthening of the distances. This means its a struggle for a four ball to complete in less than 4.5 hours. Might look better in 10 years but no obvious attempt to encapsulate what has been lost to HS2. DISAPPOINTING!
Top service from a great group, consistent communication and explanation of picks so you feel comfortable following! Makes watching the golf each weekend a whole lot more interesting!!

Played in August 2022, very dry conditions but greens were in good condition.
Fantastic couple of days at the Legends Tour, amazing course and set up.
Even better this year 2023 (Apart from the final days wash out weather ☔) - They had mini bus shuttle running also from the car park to course entrance which was brilliant. A1 experience.

What an amazing course! Just £25 for 18 holes, superb greens and fairways all well kept would happily go again! Worth a visit! Great views on the back 9 of the course!
Wonderful course.... some really interesting holes, I thougherly enjoyed the layout, first 9 in a loop around the periphery, the back 9 inside. There really were no two holes alike. The par 3's are all different as are the par 5's, personally I like the run of holes 13 14 and 15, 13 is a great par 4, not long, but a really strong index 2 hole. 14 will rank as one of my favourite par 5's anywhere, downhill dogleg left to right to a well guarded green. 15 is an uphill 175 yard par 3, a real challenge to hit the tiered green.
We ate in the bar afterwards ( seniors league match), and the food was excellent.

What a wonderful experience this was. Yes the new first five holes are bedding in but are well presented and will be even better in a couple of years. Someone had previously said his Sat Nav. watch didn't work so what's wrong with using the old fashioned way of looking at distance markers. Don't let anything put you off visiting this superb course. The club house is something special and the members and staff are very welcoming and helpful. All in all a fantastic day. 28.6.22
Nice friendly club. Being a public walkway, prepare for the cyclist and dog walkers. The traffic can be off putting but I am sure the members would say they are use to it. The greens are tough and small.
I played Trentham as a visitor with 3 others from Enville on Tuesday, and can only say it was a great experience. Staff and Pro were very welcoming, and the food top quality and very reasonably priced. Course was in excellent condition with great greens. Good test of golf, but at the same time very fair. One of the best parkland courses I have played, and I would highly recommend it to others thinking of paying a visit.
A great 9 hole course. Lots of challenging holes with long 500+ yards to the greens, sand bunkers and lakes to try and avoid. Reasonably priced and friendly staff.
Only suggestion would be better signposting as to each hole from the tee. None of the usual info on distances etc and on a couple of holes it was not clear where the green you were aiming for actually was. Would recommend

The accommodation was fantastic with our own lodge, it compromised individual bedrooms and bathroom but communal living room and kitchen.
We had dinner at the Country Park and although it was a limited menu, the food was beautifully presented and delicious. Although a little expensive, the experience and the views are definitely worth it.
Breakfast was absolutely delicious with a small variety again but it's certainly worth it as what the serve is fantastic.

Very good clubhouse and excellent service . Great pro shop. Course severely lacking , will return in 5 years because that is what’s needed. Poor greens, scruffy all round, poor signage and no coverage for golf watches

Course was great, really good condition, some very wide fairways and some quite tight with heavy slopes to the sides so if you don't hit the middle it runs off to the rough quite quickly, plenty of water hazards so take a good few spare balls! Lady on reception was very friendly, shame a lot of the golfers weren't. I was playing there for the first time and did a solo round, 3 guys in their 80s in front of me wouldn't let me play through for the whole round, this caused a tail back of grumpy golfers behind me, then on the 18th tee the group behind me parked their buggy two metres in front of the tee while i was getting ready to play and wouldn't move it, then when I was lining up my second shot they tee'd off and I had balls landing within 10ft of me, just rude and no etiquette shown

Had the windiest February game in my life. It was my first time playing in years, but being Up in the Downs is always more than pleasant. Friendly faces walking their dogs, the race course around you, the views. Stunning, golf fees reasonable, considering it is so much more than the game!
Great course, only played it once. But will definitely be going back. Tad wet (played in feb) but other than that a good variety of different holes, no 2 holes feel the same. Be fantastic with some dry weather....been back this year and what a fantastic course.

First time I have DJ'ed at the all new Manor Golf Club Kingstone. I didn't miss carrying my kit up the stairs, as access is now very simple, the staff very chatty and helpful the food most excellent, all in all a great little gem of a venue, thank you to Emma for inviting me along to DJ her event
On top of Epsom downs the course is in good condition but the secret of this place is the greens which are immaculate, quick and lots of undulations. Pitching and putting skills are essential. Very friendly place nice bar had a great day thank you 👍😎
Nice course, quite open and a bit up and down to keep it interesting. Plenty of bunkers and couple of lakes to test you but overall very enjoyable. Not much of a clubhouse but enough to get you out on the course. Easy access from M25.
Very nice course, superb new clubhouse and very welcoming staff. The new holes will be interesting when they're in play next year. At the moment you start on the old 5th hole and finish on the old 1st, which work nicely, I'd 100% go back to see if I could beat my score of +8 (77)

There is a large distance between green to tee (and also tee to green!) on a course that is obviously designed to one day hold major events. You can see the architect’s vision, with space around the fairways, for grandstands, hospitality, and spectators vantage points, as you walk and play.
The course itself, although unapologetically a ‘new build’ is an absolute delight, and presented in immaculate condition. Each hole is stunning in it own unique way, with nods to many of the great golf holes from top courses around the world.
The food was excellent, and the pro shop and staff 100% attentive. A welcoming atmosphere from the moment you get past the entrance barrier.
If you get the chance to play at the JCB county club, don’t think about it, just go.

Say "hi" to Greg in the bar - a great host. The course is a bit quirky on a couple of holes but generally very fair. The greens were a bit slower than elsewhere (September 2021) but there's been little rain lately so maybe for protection. Good, friendly club with testing track in the wind.
Not bad at all. Prices were around the same as other courses near me like Hurtmore. Obviously being a woodland (tree dominant) course, some of the greens are covered in leaves and twigs etc which is a shame but not unexpected. It was very very wet when I played, with puddles on a lot of fairways and some greens so I’m guessing the course doesn’t drain well…..not great if it’s been raining a lot. Few challenging holes with ditches/water…..otherwise trees are your main obstacle. I enjoyed myself enough lol. Only problem I could really critique is there were beer bottles on nearly half the tee boxes lol. Not sure if anyone drives around and maintains them during the day or they were all from the morning of……but something worth checking on.

I played as a guest here yesterday, the whole day starting with the welcome by the staff to when we left after dinner was too class. The food was very nice and all freshly cooked.
The course was in great condition, it was very tidy. We played during a short but heavy downpour, the course drained very quickly and we could carry on enjoying our game.
I look forward to going back!

Wow - what a venue. I am not a golfer but I was simply taken back by the quality of this venue. The layout and landscape is simply beautiful. The lodges are extremely well laid out and the food was fantastic. I feel very fortunate to have stayed here. I wish I could give you more stars…. 10/10
Played here many times and the Course was in the best condition ever. A great deal of work had been done in the Course in 2020, especially the Greens. The creation of a grassed seating area, looking down the 1st Hole, is really nice. Definitely work a visit if in the area.
Nice 9 hole parkland course just outside of Goldstone. Good use of the land which is a bit hilly with side hill holes and ponds to add to the difficulty. Fairways a bit bare in places which should improve once the weather gets better. Enjoyable without being too testing. No clubhouse just a coffee kiosk and picnic tables.
A few people from work have told me about this course and my neighbor did too. Been here a handful of times I have really enjoyed it. The staff in pro shop where nice and I got to speak to a few people that where playing the course. All where nice and polite.

A great 9 hole golf course with plenty of parking spots. You will need to pre book a round of golf.
Nice 9 hole course. We've had a fair bit of rain lately, so the course was understandably a bit muddy in places, but the greens still played well.
Biggest gripe was the lack of signage directing you to the next hole and lack of a course map on the score card. Luckily we just followed the pair in front of us...

Been using Mike's service for over a year now. Initially signed up for a monthly subscription but soon converted into a yearly. It's an absolute no brainer for the price. The likelihood is even on a small staking plan you will make that money back in profit within 2 months of his service.

Amazing golf course with some spectacular views. Staff are so friendly and the prices are very reasonable. Mix of holes lengths and difficulty. Very well maintained greens and fairways. Food afterwards was delicious. Very pleasant experience.
Fantastic 18 hole course. The fore 9 is a traditional woodland course, while the back 9 is more of a links course, with plenty of rolling hills and undulating grounds. All in, it makes for a challenging round of golf. The clubhouse is quite modern, with a decent bar and favourably priced menu. Early golfers will appreciate the excellent full English breakfast. They also have a driving range.

Good short course, interesting holes and fabulous true greens. A bit boggy in places but not too bad for this time of year.
We booked through tee times but when we got there were told it’s a roll up only, so just be aware if you are a visitor you might have to wait around a bit.

Great course - the fabulous Bunker programme has been fully completed and now the best for miles around! desigend by Gaunt Golf no less. Super layout and well worth a visit.
Took my 2 boys to the driving range and they loved it good family fun staff are very friendly and helpful too highly recommend

Fun 9-hole course. Greens and fairways in excellent condition for late January (always my main bugbear in winter), green keepers need massive praise for this!
Some nice undulation gives the holes character as well. It's not a hilly walk though.
No clubhouse to speak of, but that's not something I was fussed about.
Overall a really enjoyable 9 hole course that's in fantastic condition.
