Well there's nothing good about the current services and staff at this building ...
Poor road access for elderly/disabled customers as there is too long a walk to the main entrance from the nearest road. Yet the staff car park is an annex immediately adjoining the building. So your staff are looked after but the public should just struggle ? - shame on you !! Inside the building the place looked scruffy and needs disinfecting.
Staff are rude, arrogant, dismissive with poor listening skills. When they could not answer questions or 'grey' areas they shutdown and tell you it's all online or that's not something we can help with. Just miserable, arrogant, discourteous and unfriendly. They should all go learn what the basics of customer service skills are rather than assuming that because they work for the council they are important and protected. This place needs proper staff not just box ticking exercise.

I drove end of bus lane to turn left at 17.54
6 minutes to finish bus lane restriction whike there was a sign end of the bus lane and they sent a fine to me .
They mess up every where in town and paying lots of money out for nonsense and try to rip off people pocket with this kind of fines.
See the photo and judge .
If you tell them rhey say its the law.
Only for normal people law works not for themselves.
They are trying to recover from bankruptcy by putting their hand into people pocket .
This is call a law made by them.
I feel sick even to talk about this.

Property shop should show the inside of the property on the site, but then people would see the state of it & not bid. Damp kitchen "We can fix that once your in" Why not fix it when the flat is empty? "But it passed the minimal standards for housing" Is this the Sheffield City slogan "Our housing will pass the minimal standards, but don't expect too much.." Perhaps you should live in the damp flat & see if it is acceptable for renting..

They assume they are a State dictatorship within a state. They merely represent themselves not those who elected them. A large proportion of their staff are completely unqualified not fit for purpose. Very hostile and talk down to people
Appalling behaviour
When challenged, they play the abuse card even though you are being polite and civil. We need a drastic change.

The worst council I've ever had to work with. Phone lines are a maze of automated services & if you do finally manage to get through to someone, you'll be lucky if they can help you. They also change their emails without any notice & the emails sent don't "bounce back" to give you an inkling they've not been received.

Received a final council tax bill for a property that I sold over seven years ago. Trying to call them to inform them I am not the owner but the phone line doesn’t go through to anyone.
Finally got through to someone after an hour who wasn’t helpful in the slightest, I asked her if I could speak to her manager she connected me to customer feedback.
It seems the council doesn’t care about having so many one stars anyways. The most shocking council, they need to seriously review the customer service they provide.

I worked at Camden Council for 5-6 months and my experience was not only extremely stressful but detrimental to my mental health.
I was dismissed as an agency worker by Diamond Blaque due to not having a discharge date by the hospital I was sectioned at.
I am utterly let down by Camden Council as a workforce and as a council. I am trying to get my council flat sorted and only a few members of staff have been very helpful including Harcourt, Beverleigh and Cherry.
My ex-manager dismissed me and made me relapse as she was given insufficient training. Along with Julie Newsam who was her manager.
I am devastated and worried that I might lose my council flat due to this review. However, it is integral to me that people are aware of how Temporary Allocations treat homeless people. Winter time is now approaching and I hope things change for the better.

Devastatingly disappointed! Zero desire for anyone to actually achieve something or help in any way. Waste of taxpayer money.

Summoned to court for "unpaid council tax" added a shambolic £80 penalty on top of what was £110 unpaid council tax (nearly double it's worth). To then be apologised to in court and told it was incorrect and I didn't owe any council tax. To now being told it will be taken straight from my funds without a letter or phone call to discuss the issue at hand. Vile, vile humans. A month before Christmas too. They need investigating! A total lack of communication in-house. And definitely no communication with CUSTOMERS.

This council tax service's communication is abysmal. There's a complete absence of email contact, and their phone service is a never-ending loop of automated messages, ensuring you can never reach a human being. The online portal, as if following the trend, offers only a fraction of what you actually need. This has been a nightmarish experience, and I wouldn't wish it upon my worst enemy. It's mind-boggling how they can operate in this manner. Zero stars, for zero effort and zero care for their customers.

Useless and will defend the inaction of their staff by trying to gaslight you. Get used to doing their job for them because they won't raise a finger.

It's probably never opened at 8am they open at 9am except on Wednesday when they open at 1pm. THEY ARE SHUT AT THE WEEKEND.

Most useless Council borough in the whole of United Kingdom, i lived in the most deprived area growing up and even we had more workers or souls who wanted to help. Camden are super useless unless you've done something against them, you will never be able to contact them, or get a resolution, you simply have to bite the tongue and move boroughs and hope another council borough will support you more.

Council tax section of my personal Camden account has been down for months, preventing me from accessing my bills - I'm glad Camden council are so easily taking my money each month, I just wish some of it would be reinvested towards a website fit for the 21st century (even 20th, I'll take it at this stage) so I can keep an eye on my bills. Although I'm not sure what is worse between having had no way of proving I am paying my council tax (with the council being aware of this IT problem months ago), or the hour I have been waiting on the phone to be able to speak to someone about it. "You can view your council tax bills and pay online instead of being on the phone", the pre-recorded voices on the phone keep repeating while I wait, with the irony not completely lost on me as I waste yet another few hours of my life, on my work week, trying to reach Camden Council. I will say though that the woman I (finally) had on the phone was nice and helpful - as most of the council workers I have dealt with through the years have been. I just wish they were not let down by the inefficiency of the rest.

Absolute joke of a council they don't care about anything especially housing homeless

Stayed at home today waiting for a repair on an external wall. As usual the council didn't turn up and couldn't be bothered to let us know. What on earth are we paying rent for? Absolute shambles regarding repairs/maintenance to your own housing stock.

If I could give zero or -10 I would!! In all my years of residing in social housing, I have never encountered such unprofessional, unhelpful, and unsympathetic behaviour from the repair team staff members, the "management team" within the repairs team, and the "management team" within the complaints team.
Over the past 10 weeks, it has felt like I've been engaged in an demanding battle with both the repairs and complaints teams. It appears that Camden Council is failing to fulfil its "Duty of Care" towards its tenants, a fact that becomes abundantly clear when reading a number of reviews here – a truly shocking revelation in the year 2023. It seems that Camden's repairs and complaints teams have regressed by a decade, disregarding the progress they should have made.
Securing a conversation with a human being seems an impossible task unless one categorizes their repair as an emergency. Neither team willingly shares their manager's contact details, making it akin to attempting to obtain classified information from MI6. They appear indifferent to the inconvenience of customers repeatedly calling them to schedule a single repair.
In my humble opinion, both teams require comprehensive training in their Duty of Care towards tenants, Customer Services, and effective communication among team members, among other essential aspects. Effective leadership within these teams is noticeably lacking and having served as a manager in the private sector for five years, I would mandate immediate retraining for them.
Camden Housing Services, much like our Central Government, appears ill-suited for its intended purpose. Allowing their staff to work from home has led to numerous issues, such as background noise from children and unreliable phone lines that hinder proper communication. At times, they made me feel as though I had inconvenienced them, prompting me to question why their repairs telephone lines close for an hour during 1 - 2 pm in this day and age.
Should you find yourself in the unfortunate position of having any of these individuals from the complaints team handle your complaint: Paul S, John H, Felix D, I advise against subjecting yourself to unnecessary stress, as you are likely to make little progress. After enduring 10 long weeks of being dismissed and receiving promises of a callback within 24 or 48 hours that went unfulfilled; I finally had enough and reached out to the CEO, her assistant responded within an hour via email, and a manager contacted me the following day, offering a same-day appointment – something I had been unable to secure during those arduous 10 weeks.

I left Sandwell Council and I want to tell them not to waste time sending me a council tax bill, but no one answers their phone. You listen to some silly instructions from an answering machine which have nothing to do with what you want to talk about. The worst thing is that it cuts you off instead of sending you to a human agent. Also, their 'my account' is useless as it prejudges that you want to say something that you don't want to say. I want to tell them that I no longer live at the address they are sending tax bills to but I don't know how since they don't answer their phones. I'm glad I no longer live in Sandwell. It's the worst local authority I have ever lived in, in terms of incompetence. I would have given them zero if it was available. I can't even send them an email as they don't have any.

Reviews are powerful, helpful tools in today’s society that are meant to warn or encourage a person to buy a product, take a service or perhaps work for a company. Its on the last basis that I must write this review. Before I do I want you to know that I was not fired from Camden, nor did I have any HR issues. I left on my own freewill to get away from the abusive relationship, Camden Council being the abuser. I worked at Camden for a number of years, but because of the lack of support and a working in a broken system at some point you realise those at the top do not understand what is happening in the organisation or if they know of the issues affecting staff - they simply don’t care.
To give you an idea of how it was to work at Camden, one manager actually fainted (Vasovagal syncope) from the pressure which could have absolutely been avoided and was taken to hospital, this is the type of pressure we were put under daily because Camden refused to provide more staff, refused to take on board our concerns. I regularly think about the colleagues I left behind and their wellbeing, as I know things in the team have got significantly worse since I left.
Camden seems not to care about the wellbeing of their staff or even the tenants, this is evident by implementing a system where they encourage the use of chat functions and whatsapp usage when reporting repairs and make it very hard to speak to someone as to rather hid behind a digital wall.
Ultimately the CEO needs to take responsibility for the abuse that happened at the hands of Camden. If the ship is sailing the wrong way, it’s the captains fault not the crew. I have used the word abuse because it’s the closest thing I can compare my last few years at Camden too, It really felt like I was in an abusive relationship and you get so used to it that you think its normal to have crushing pressure and to feel depressed on Sunday when you think about Monday. This was not an isolated incident in my team, I found this to be the case across teams.
So should you work at Camden, I have to say no, really avoid this, I only write this to warn others. Hopefully they can change but in its current form, I would look elsewhere.

I don’t usually write reviews but I’ve never been so disgusted with this service I’ve received from a particular individual. An individual named “Soorbhi Parekh” that works at the Camden council has been communicating with me past few days and we set an appointment to meet at the Camden council building. When I arrived here today, I called her and she said “I’m sorry I’ve been under pressure and forgot about the appointment” At this point, I felt disrespected so I hanged up on her face I couldn’t be asked to hear her excuse since she wasn’t bothered to call me to reschedule. I haven’t bothered to communicate with her anymore from hence on forth. Also very unprofessional and rude. Speaks over me and speaks so fast and can barely make out what she says. Prior to our appointment, she failed to send me a list of documents to bring over with me to my appointment as discussed on the phone. Very unorganised and I hope I don’t work with her ever. 0/5 not recommended.

A very sad view at the empty huge Swan Meadow Car Park in the evening where motorhomes can't spend the night quietly (even for a fee) instead of this young people are encouraged to drift, play loud music or otherwise disturb others (after 5pm of course for free).

SHOCKING system. Second highest priority, bidding for 6 month. No luck, someone comes out of prison with the worst criminal history you can think of and gets a property handed to them without them even bidding, (Within a year they’ve trashed the place and ended up back in prison). The most corrupt council going, they only want to receive money from benefits and not hard working money.

By far the worst council I have ever dealt with - to the point where I am actively looking to move borough so I don’t have to deal with them. The council tax is extortionate, and for what? Awful service and nothing to show for it. Camden Council is far from resident focused - it’s money grabbing, unorganised and makes up its own rules. I dread getting a letter from them, fearing which error their end I will now be blamed for and have to pick up the payment for. Extremely disappointed and I think they should be ashamed.

Sheffield City Council are corrupt and fraudulent. The only way you are going to get a house quick from the council is either you know someone in the inside or you're a migrant fresh off the boat.

I am on highest priority as they call it and been looking for a home for 5 months bidding every week and getting no where I have 3 children who are all away from family and are really struggling and no help at all absolutely fed up and they wonder why people's mental health isn't ok 🤬🤬

I am a Camden Council tenant. My rent is always up-to-date! I find is very difficult to get through the phone to Camden Repairs team! And when you get through the Camden repairs staff they are very rude and not helpful in any ways and at the end they put the phone down on you when is a serious issues should be sorted out! I have ongoing problems for many years with the leaking roof. It’s damaged my floor and my washing machine. It’s constantly fuses is blowing up every three hours and I’m losing my electricity. The toilet is always broken down and the water is heavily leaks out on the walls and on the floor making the loud noise and my son can’t sleep, when is next day he needs go to School. I have spoked with the staff her name is Tosina on 11.12.22 She was pretend like she has not understand me with my problems ongoing leak. Tosina told me for her is not emergency and she not going to help me! Then I have called next day second time in the morning on 12.12.22 and I have spoked with the staff her name is Tahmina. I have explained in the nice way the same problem I have had last night. But Tahmina not even asked my address she just put the phone down on me.
I found the Camden Council is not helpful for people who is paying rent and the Service charges. Staff is inhumane very rude and very unprofessional!
Look at the Camden Council reviews how many people is unhappy with the Camden Council Service!! This is showing how bad the staff is!! Is anyone knows where to complain? Because this is a dead end.

The worse council in the world!!! Leaving a disabled woman in a 3 bed house with 3 lots of steps she can't get down and can't get up to bed. 2 years been trying to get a flat disabled property. Now in the process of 2 hip replacements and 2 knees and the council give no hope to her. So much so that she has tried to take her own life twice. No one listens, no one helps. Absolutely heartbreaking to watch my mum this way. My dad also has copd and is in I'll health and unable to keep up with the gardening ect. Absolute virmin this council and I will take it to the top for the way they are making my parents suffer!!!

Unfortunately, there is no commitment to working hours. It is written that they are open five days a week, and when I was surprised that only two days a week are open, I advise anyone who goes there to contact them before he goes

Possibly the worst council in UK. I don’t understand why working class get offered the most rubbish flats in the worst areas when they should have better housing in better areas because they afford rent , pay tax and are always better neighbours . Jobless lot with antisocial behaviour get to have babies for living and get a 4 bed house in a nice area which they can’t maintain or even afford . It’s atrocious! Other cities allow working class to pick houses that suit them because they can afford rent & look after properties which is fair .

How do you expect people to bid on homes & be offered when you have a login system that never works...I have tried to log in multiple times only for your login system to tell me I have entered the wrong details...WHEN I HAVEN'T! You're constantly asking me to change my password because you have updated the site for whatever reason....Your whole system is not fit for use! No wonder there is a long list of people still homeless...
If you need a home, don't look to Sheffield to help you! They're useless.
UPDATE: despite them asking me to change my password about a week ago (which I did and it confirmed that it had been changed) I have just tried using my old password....guess what...it worked...despite me changing my password....seriously.....this system seriously needs to be looked at and sorted out.

Received a penalty and when I put the reference number is says wrong and I can't pay or challenge and no is with enforcement and still can't see the penalty charge

2 weeks later and im still trying to figure out how to buy visitor permits, what an atrocious site to navigate

Always a frustrating experience in dealing with this council’s staff who act as public lords over the residents. Highly uncooperative and snobbish staff who forget that their salaries are paid by the residents.

Customer services unable to answer the phone and none of the online services work!

What a sound bunch of Gs.

Absolute joke. Wish I could live somewhere else.

Very beautiful land mark. Unfortunately the day I went visited it there were a lot of construction and renovation in the area.
Lovely people and restaurants in the surroundings.
I highly recommend visiting it during the holiday seasons

Great building, nice place to get rest with a lot of benches, but unfortunately it will be close by 2024.

One of my favourite place in England. It’s really nice and beautiful building. You should check it out. Grab a cup of coffee and just sit on the beach a front of the hall and just relax. Your day will be good. I strongly recommend you this Town hall!
Have a lovely day

Social Services (Adult) and Social Services Safeguarding Team are unresponsive to real needs and are more likely to make matters worse than improve the individual's welfare!

No words can explain, some of the staff there are nice but when your trying to get in contact with them they are a pile of shite, I rang 4 times and never got through.
Besides some of the staff are piss takes and never try and put a smile of their face!! Not worth your time.

Children's social services are the most neglectful and irresponsible department. I have no idea how they still function, absolute waste of tax monies. We provided accommodation to a family referred from this department under a condition of advance/deposit payment within 14 days.We are now approaching the 3rd month and no sign of payment, no reliable person to contact, receiving conflicting information.Nobody takes accountability for anything! Stay away !

ABSOLUTE RUBBISH COUNCIL. Everything this council does is utter rubbish. You can't call them as the calls get cut off due to demand. The service centre in Wood Green is like a war zone and full of people demanding benefits and no one speaks proper English. Parking Services are just a utter joke. No one takes calls, visits or offers any information. Don't bother with this council unless your foreign. If you are white, male and lived in the UK all your life forget it. They simply ain't bothered even when you report a scam or a fraud. I called in that hell hole in Wood Green and waited and waited and waited only to pushed and jossled by people of foreign nature and been vile. The whole experience of Harrigey Council is vile vile vile. I would give it -10 if I could.

Really beautiful hall steeped in local history and a great place to host an event. We had the company Christmas party here and it was excellent. The food was cooked to perfection and served by great staff with the kind of precision and care you don't often see these days. Even posh Aunt Mabel wont be disappointed!

Just taken part in a grand tour of the Gothic styled Manchester Town Hall. Built by Thomas Waterhouse and decorated externally with the three symbols of God; the trinity of windows reaching up to the sky, Man; the various statues of men and woman and Earth. Floral decorations adorning the walls. On top of the spire is a golden cotton flower in homage to the Cotten products and mills. A must to see are the twelve panels painted by Ford Madox Brown found in the main hall.

After always dismissing Manchester as being a bit of a rough dive, the couple of times I've been fortunate to visit over the last couple of months have really turned me around.
Great, modern city with great culture and (dare I say) fashion.
The Christmas Markets were out of this world compared to what we have in Newcastle. I wish I didn't have a meal planned that evening because I just wanted to try so much of the food!

City Hall is exceptionally impressive with many historic art works, numerous 'mansion like' meeting rooms, statues, marble columns and the list goes on! There is a cafe on the ground floor. Highly recommended if you are in Manchester and you are up for some history... hurry though because it closes Christmas 2017 for a minimum of 5 years whilst it is refurbished.

I often saw many tourist, of recent chinese visitors taking pictures of Manchester city council and the town centre. Manchester is a great place to visit and live, the central library, post office, KPMG building, University of Manchester, Manchester Metropolitan University, Manchester Police enquiry office, Manchester United Football Club are nearby including hotels. The Manchester councils also host many events and christmas shows, tram and buses are often used to travel within manchester with free internet and at affordable prices.
