Have to say I never understood when people would say oh it tastes oily until I ate here. The spring rolls were the worst I’ve sadly ever had. It’s like they were refried when the oil wasn’t hot. Not only was the outside exceptionally oily when they aren’t supposed to be, the inside was soaked in oil too. Th lettuce leaf the rolls were sat on was drenched in like warm gloopy oil. Made me feel ill. Ate like one and gave up. Although I complained and they did remove the charge it’s still not right.
I asked for a fried egg and anybody who knows a Chinese style fried egg knows the yolk should still be runny. I’d rather not have ordered. Was badly fried. It’s a basic thing you should not be messing up.

I recently had the opportunity to try their dim sum, and I was very impressed. The dishes were all freshly prepared and delicious. I particularly enjoyed the har gow (shrimp dumplings), and the siu mai (pork dumplings).

Always lovely food
Frustrated with the service staff, despite their friendliness, no one could understand English, and they charged us for two hot pot dinners despite the fact that only one of us was actually eating there. I actually told them this before we started and a few times throughout the meal. I barely even tasted nothing. I made an effort to clarify while billing, but they denied me. £47 could be donated even if we don't want

Lamb chops ✔ Crispy baked lamb chops texture, the amount is really big, there are pictures of the truth. The outer skin is baked until crispy, usually I don't love lamb I clicked, fragrant but not greasy, the most important thing is that there is no stinky smell of lamb.
On the soup baby vegetables: eat a spicy meat must be appropriate to some green vegetables O, soup super thick material is also very sufficient, it is recommended to drink some soup first to clear the mouth, fresh off the eyebrows.

It's the king's elbow that I've been longing for, and it's true to its name. The whole thing is really big, and the four of us almost couldn't finish it. Soft and smooth, chopsticks gently peeled off the bone, the cortex part of the melt in the mouth, the meat is clear but not firewood, stewed super tasty, the soup can not be missed, promise me must be a mouthful of rice a mouthful of meat, the juice overflowing, to ensure that you eat the belly of the big round satisfaction, eat still want to eat!

Probably wouldn't get the dim sum again as it was decent, but not amazing. The beef noodle soup was good! I liked how chewy the noodles were 🍜 The garlic broccoli was tender and not overcooked. Lots of garlic too!
I had a jiangbing and homemade soy milk to go. It was so delicious 😋 The lady that served me was friendly. Too bad I wasn't able to stay and try more of their dishes. They seem to have a huge selection of choices. I would love to visit again next time I'm in Edinburgh.

Delicious Cantonese style Chinese in Chinatown London. They have set menus available to give you the opportunity to sample lots of dishes at a reasonable price. The Peking style duck was very tasty. One of the best hot and sour soups I've tasted, with prawns and it's quite spicy.
Flavoursome food! And the service is so attentive and kind. I highly recommend the mixed dumplings pot - is to die for. I would change qué soy sauce which was very very salty.
Food is a little pricey but considering the huge portions served, it's worth it. The service is quite slow but it didn't bother us as we weren't in a rush. Overall experience was good and would happily visit again.

We had the Beef Ho Fun, fried rice, Dim Sum Sampler, Salt and Pepper Shrimp and Sizzling Filet Beef all of which were amazing! A little on the salty side but that’s probably why we craved more. They were out of the lobster that night buy we will definitely get it next time. One of my favorite Chinese restaurants of all time.

It’s the 2nd time I had ordered a takeaway meal. The food has been superb and ready in ten minutes for pickup. I will be returning very soon to sample more delicious dishes.

Absolute awful food left everything other than chicken skewers..... everything tasted so sweet .... waste of money never go again
Overall the food was tasty, the dim sum were piping hot and the filling to dough ratio was good. The duck and pork were tasty but not as good as other places we have tried. The chat siu was very good and the beef was extremely tender. Cheng fun was also extremely tasty.
Staff were attentive and could help us with our requests, they were not as friendly and chatty with us as with other tables.
Overall it was a good experience and we would return.

Great food and delivered fresh and hot
One of the best meals I’ve ever had! The flavors were amazing. The portions generous. We loved every dish. We weren’t crazy about the salt and pepper pork ribs because they were too dry. Everything else was a 10/10.

I would give Chongqing noodles with minced pork a 1 out of 10- super dry, and the type of noodle is not the authentic one. Doesn’t tastes like ‘Xiaomian’ at all!

Not been for years. I gave it a go as we're temporarily living in Sale again. Sadly, the food was terrible, Satay chicken like nothing I've seen or tasted before, BBQ ribs that were lacking in flavor or tenderness, even the salt & pepper chips were binned after a couple of mouthfuls. Stale prawn crackers rounded off a totally forgettable experience 😫

Called the restaraunt for a chat, because generally the food from here has been good quality. I was told that perhaps the curry had sat waiting for collection, if the curry was well produced it would have the opposite effect - the consistency was just all wrong, double the amount of water.

I had a lovely dinner at Gonbay with my girlfriend. The best crispy duck I have ever had, also the sweet and sour short ribs are so nice, very crispy with incredible sauce, can totally taste the 'wok hei' from the chef skills. Highly recommended!!

I had lunch here and love the mix-hotpot, the portion is big and love how it taste. We also try the beef traditional pancake and it was ok.
I just ordered a takeaway from them. The service was really good but the taste wasn’t to my liking. It was salty (chicken noodle soup and beef chow mien) and lacked the umami flavour. After reading through their reviews I saw they don’t use MSG, MSG is one of the reasons I love Chinese takeout. So, if you like salty food or don’t want MSG, this place will be good for you because their prices are very affordable.

It’s got 4.5 stars on Deliveroo, absolutely garbage… chicken satay tastes like pork… so tough where it’s been re-heated, peanut sauce so watery it doesn’t even cost the chicken. The egg fried rice has a chemical smell to it… defiantly not authentic Chinese egg fried rice. Shredded crispy chicken… might as well be soggy leather in a runny over sugar sauce. More sauce then anything else. Deliveroo needs to screw. Who review these places because it’s absolute atrocious. Even with the discount provided with Deliveroo -£10! Is shocking…

The lamb griddle that they serve is probably the best dish I've ever tasted in the past few years. It has so much flavor to it!!! (Highly Recommended)

Tried spicy lamb soup hotpot at a local place. Staff were nice, but very much self-service and authentic atmosphere. Seafood quality was ok. After a while, the lamb smell became overpowering. Would recommend chicken soup base next time.

The food is quite good but you need to be prepared to pay an extra 10%. They add a mandatory service charge on top of your bill and then still ask for a tip. Me and my fiancee had a two course meal which came to £97, which was quite ridiculous. The majority of staff are quite young and are often on their phones. At one point the owner came over to our table and attempted to speak to me in Chinese (I am very clearly not Chinese). Overall decent food, high price, poor customer service.
Hi it's very nice food but one again was freezing when it turned up. So when you are ordering from here make sure you have a working microwave oven at home, and factor in the price of electricity.
It is a shame to only give 3 stars for 5 stars food, but we have phoned them before about this and again the food turns up not hot.
But I guess this is simply the way of the World at the moment.

Food always amazing here, full of flavour. Portion sizes have decreased in recent months though.
Won’t be ordering again wasted 14 pound on food that was poor, the crispy chilli chicken was either really really burnt or there was just no chicken in it just all batter. Have this from every takeaway I get and it’s never been like this. Jus poor might as well have just ordered batter in a box!
The chicken fried rice was tasteless and the chicken balls were very dry and the batter chewy. Won't be ordering from here again

Got crispy shredded beef for £6.40, there was no beef! Just beef-flavoured batter with onions. Disappointing because it’s usually nice here, and for that price I would expect a decent amount of meat. Noodles were good though (hence 2 stars instead of 1)

First time tonight we haven't had free prawn crackers. Ordered food including delivery of £27.20 but now to get free crackers you must take off delivery charge and old meal for one which takes it under £18. Very petty considering cheap price of crackers. Lost a customer on principle.

I phone to explain where I was told to put chow mien and chips back into box and I will get it exchange in 10 mins.
30 mins later I had to call back to check how long, 5 mins later only a chow mien turned up. When I question the driver he advised me to call up.
When I called again and explain without warning I was just left to listen to telling between two people (not great customer service)
I was then asked to put all food back in container (which meant taking the new chow mien off my 7 year old). And again wait till someone fetches me a new one.
At this point I refuse as I order it at 6pm, now 1hr 40 mins later after already waiting longer then advise. I explain that my daughter has to go to bed soon and I refuse to take food off her after waiting this long.
Again I was left to listen to the argument between two people.
I love 5 mins drive away from the place.

However some dishes on google reviews look tasty. I should have ordered some other food.

Normally my first choice in sale for vermicelli but tonight it was mainly plain noodles! AGAIN 😩 I have had the same problem before so I now tell them on ordering like I did tonight but... I called after receiving it to tell them it was plain again even after letting them know when ordering, but my response was what you want me to do? You have it now 😡
First and last time we order from eya. My son woke up been sick due to the food and i found my self doing the same 2 hours later. We have both had cronic gut rot all morning and fighting for the toilet.
This is the Hotpot restaurant where Chinese recommends, very friendly staff and clean food. Atmosphere is great too, moreover you can eat as much as you can!

This was the first time my wife and I have tried hotpot + BBQ, and it was amazing. We've seen so many videos online of the experience, and we were happy to finally give it a shot. The staff were very friendly and helpful, answering any questions we had about the dishes we were trying. Definitely recommend it! The price for the both of us was more than reasonable.
I ordered a crab meat soup and it isn't crab meat it's crab sticks which are called seafood sticks all they are is seafood flavoured sticks and have no crab meat in them at all. Iv always orders from you and never had an issue until now
Total waste of money - never again....why do is it assumed the UK doesn't know good from bad quality and we here have no taste buds. I ordered several dishes to get a variety of flavours. What arrived was tweaks/ variations of the same one dish - my impression was it was the same sauce and vege with a few additions to meet the description. The so called Red Thai dish was beyond disappointing and tasted identical to another dish in the main menu. Bland was an understatement and portion sizes were v small - I still have the empty containers from other restaurant meals twice the size . With no job I haven't eaten out for two years and this is a good reason not to. £30+ down the tubes
Always great friendly service excellent meals at reasonable prices. Takeaways don't get any better than this.
Ordered from here tonight food was absolutely delicious. Me and my husband had set meal with starters was great delivery and piping hot when it arrived. Definitely my new chinese without a doubt !
Searched a year, finally found the taste of Hong Kong. The dishes size are huge and delicious, will come back for sure after your 1st visit... I'm not just talking about taste, I'm talking about satisfaction guys, including taste, service, and environment. Phew,
Everything I've tried has been at least 'fine' Some things are excellent, like the best Chinese curry sauce I've ever had! It's worth collecting your order in person, just to experience the tastiest smell imaginable!

Visited Edinburgh with my family and found Hau Han when looking for good spots to eat in the area. I can definitely say that Hau Han's one of the best Chinese restaurants I've gone to and would definitely recommend it. The staff were very kind and attentive, even got to meet the owner Derek and the rest of the staff- Emily and another girl serving us that day (unfortunately I forgot to get her name before she finished her shift) were excellent too! They even gave my mum free Chinese doughnuts as we were celebrating her birthday. Very satisfied with the food and the service we received. 10/10 would visit again next time I come back to Scotland. Wish there was one here in London!

Items missed from orders, wrong items given. No chance to get them to accept and rectify their mistakes and errors.
It is just unbelievable. Simply the worst place I have ever seen.

Best salt and pepper chips in Sale by far, delicious food all around and always very accommodating with picky eaters. Also the delivery guy is lovely and always does no contact drop off which is super appreciated.
Had the set meal for 2 it was delicious. It arrived when we expected and was still piping hot.
Order through just eat every Wednesday,on average we spend £25 a week, £100 a month! The food is lovely and usually the orders are perfect. On the few occasions it has gone wrong and we've rang to try and have it rectified the communication and customer service is shocking! Missed things from the order then end up being charged for something we haven't received!
Hubby picked up order of vegetarian Singapore noodles and when he got home it had chicken in. If they can't tell the difference between a chicken and a vegetable don't eat here!!!
Got our order, which was very salty and not the usual standard. As I received it after closing time I called back today and was told that there was nothing wrong with their food, took it back in to show them it hasn't been eaten and they said it was fine. But that the char sui wasn't even what we ordered as they had added ham to it! Was refused a refund or any kind of compensation as they didn't think there was anything wrong with it, were very rude about the situation insinuating that I had added the ham. Were just rude and unhelpful. Do not recommend.
First and last time I order from this establishment!!!! Ordered the salt and chilli munchy box which was not only cold but bland. Could not taste and salt or chilli on anything. We also ordered the chicken satay skewers which were rubbery and look nothing like the picture which initially enticed me. Total waste of money. The highlight of the meal was the 3 complimentary prawn crackers!

In terms of food, I am yet to find better Chinese food in the surrounding area. In terms of service it has always been professional. Delivery has always been on time and order has always been correct.

I had ordered a £9.70 meal and asked if I got free prawn crackers .. the girl said you have to spend£10 to qualify for free prawn crackers,I offered to pay the 30p difference .. which she sai no you have to purchase them at the full price if £2.50!!!! I asked to spk to the manager ... I explained o was a regular customer and usually spend over £20 per week .... he was really rude and told me that he would not be giving me complimentary crackers even if I was to pay £10 !!!! and hung up the phone !!! I'll not be using this take away again ... may I add the cost of prawn crackers to them would be pennies !!! Definitely lost a good customer over pennies ...silly man... Tastes Good which is next door provide crackers with every meal ! And did taste better too !!!!😡

Looks nice inside and staff were friendly. Food was on par and no issues. Nothing amazing but no problems either. The 'munchy box for one' ended up looking like a 'shake up everything in a box' disaster but that's more a packaging issue than a taste matter.
