The Duck and Rice

Delicious Chinese fare in a fun buzzy pub setting - loved the hakka paneer, the duck and rice bowl, the dim sum, the prawn toast and the salt & pepper squid. Good, attentive service. The pub section is loud but really vibey. Hope to come back soon!

What a place! Amazing ambience, delicious duck, succulent salmon, superb service (Naomi, Hannah and friends 🙏), and the birthday cake and singing duo were a surprise bonus. Thanks to Sue, Alena and everyone (especially Kevin and Jenny!) XxX

We came around 5.30PM yesterday and there were three tables upstairs, and round one was very loud and looked like it was restaurant management or people related. We could hardly hear each other and asked to change table to one at the back of the restaurant. Food was good, but not fantastic. We came to try different kinds of dumplings

We came here for a good Chinese meal after hearing alot about duck and rice.

The food that was good was crispy duck was great especially with the plum sauce and fresh pancakes. The chickem.wings.were unusual as they lacked the bulk that im used to but they actually tasted great.

The rest of the starters and mains were however fairly average and lacked a real kick in flavours.

The table allocated to us was a bar type with very high table so wasn't the most comfortable dining experience.

I must say the staff were friendly and attentive and really added to the dining experience. Overall good atmosphere and service but food needed more depth and flavour.

Great place with super tasty duck :) ofc. The rice was also pretty good.
First thing first is the atmosphere. Pretty chill and 'dark' place, great for a date.
Food is super. Really. Duck is exceptional :) highly recommend it

Food was great as usual, those wasabi prawns 😋 Beef in black pepper was a little intense, crispy duck rice is a must have.
Table was too small for 6 people, very crammed in and no space between tables so very noisy.

It was an amazing experience. I invited my brother and his partner to celebrate their anniversary. Our waitresses was incredible “Hanna”. She was so friendly and attentive. Made the celebration 🍾 even more special. The food was so yummy. To celebrate their anniversary, they brought a beautiful desert. Great food, amazing 🤩 service and perfect company.
