The portions are minuscule for the price, and, fair enough, if the taste and the presentation was an experience. I got the bone marrow risotto. If I was a small dog with a diet of dry dog food, I would love this. But since I’m a human, the tiny, sour, almost tasteless plate of yellowish slop did not impress. €280 between three people for the amount of food barely enough to feed one, and the taste of a Soviet school cafeteria to match.

Food is amazing! One of the best Michelin restaurant we’ve visited. Highly recommended to order Pigeon🥰🥰

Wine list is extensive, but I must say the price is on the higher side too.

Yes the location is top in the Galleria. But the service and the food can be improved for that price. We had to pay 30-40 euros per meal ( pasta of 6 pieces) . When you order drinks no aperitivo snacks or bread coming with it. We had to ask for bread . Usually you get this by default in every Italian restaurant.

There are plenty of romantic restaurants in the area that provide better cuisine for half the price.

It’s in the restaurant Cracco where I left my reading glasses (Bulgari brand). I went back 3 times over the span of 2 days to ask if they had been found, but found nothing 😞 other than that the coffee and the dessert was ok.

Downstairs one can eat from a Michelin starred chef without the formality of the proper Michelin restaurant. Food is amazing and not too complicated like some high end restaurants tend to do at certain levels. Location is as good as it gets in Milan. Highly recommended for lunch.

It gets full quickly, but food and desserts are great. Quite pricy, but you also pay for the location.

I walked into this meal with an open mind after reading various mixed reviews, and feel compelled to write my own. For context, I've cooked professionally & travelled globally, So let's break it down

Atmosphere - sterile and boring. Lighting it far too bright and chatter or opportunity to interact with other diners is very subdued. On a side note a we had a couple sitting next to us who were on 1st name basis with management. The wife chose to answer her loud ringing phone during dinner and engage in a loud conversation. I call this out as clearly the restaurant either has mixed standards for fine dining or money is a motivating factor.

Service - I'd rate it as on par with a 2-3 star restaurant, this was the highlight. But only 1 of the staff engaged with us, meaning actually listed and conversed without make us feel like we were wasting their time.

Food - this is where everything falls down. We selected the tasting menu and there was a single dish that we thought excellent, everything else was blah. Every dish lacked texture, making us wonder if the food was prepared for babies. I'd rate many Non Michelin and 1-2 star restaurants well above Enoteca for excellent/inspired food. How this place achieves 3 stars is beyond me. During our trip we experienced two examples that I'd rate well above. In the upside they did recommend the GF menu right away.

Wine Pairing - maybe there was a language barrier, we felt it lacked inspiration and no attempt was made to explain why they matched certain wines & he was so soft spoken that I had to ask repeatedly for him to repeat the name of the wine. On the plus side, they don't charge by the glass but instead by the number wines you select, and they proactively refill your glass. This element is pretty good value.

Cost - we did not experience the upsell pressure others speak off, but for what we enjoyed...yeah I agree there is little justification for the price

At the end of the day, I'd encourage readers of this review to skip and explore many other options for a great meal and experience.

We had a lovely lunch here and despite the hype, the risotto Milanese really is the stuff of dreams. Interestingly, I had tried to make reservations here but was not able to. On a lark, we walked in and were immediately seated. The food was very good and satisfying and, as stated above, the saffron risotto is really the star here. We also tried the Cotoletta which delivered. A wonderful wine selection and astute service capped off the experience.

My husband travels regularly to Milan for work and every time he goes, I tell him to bring me some of that risotto back. So far he has not, but I will not stop asking. It's that good.
Michelin 1 star restaurant. Housed inside a hotel by the river. Good service and food are quite good. bread are good and cooking is innovative. Recommended

The only Michelin 3 stars rated restaurant in Florence. I would only give it a high 2 stars and low 3 stars. Cooking is not bad but not exceptional. The fish we ordered were too salty and need to change. When I made the booking already stated we do not like cheep or goat cheese ingredients but it was still presented in the welcome small bites. This kind of mistake is not acceptable for a 3 stars restaurant. When complaint about the saltyness of the fish, we did not get an apology before explaining the possible cause. The grand cellar is an eye opening and this is a big credit to the Michelin stars. All in all, a famous restaurant to try but cooking can be improved.

We really wanted to like Enoteca Pinchiorri, but we felt it fell short especially being a 3 Michelin star restaurant.

Here's what we did like about it:
1) They were able to accommodate us when I had the reservation date wrong.
2) Service was good and they're quick to cater to you

Here's where we thought it went wrong:
1) Water has its own menu starting at 10 euros per bottle
2) We were only impressed by the first couple and the last couple times on the tasting menu (the rest were not bad just not a wow factor)
3) Money spent and value received was severely imbalanced.

It's nice to cross it off the list. We were definitely expecting more out of our first Michelin 3 stars, but things don't always work out.

This was my 29th Michelin star restaurant. Did it live to its name? In my opinion, no.

Service was subpar, seems like they are trying to upsell everything, from very overpriced bottles, water, to cheese and €100+ white truffle addition.

Dishes lack a common thread to keep them together to form a cohesive story. The staff wasn’t well prepared to elaborate on the dish’s creation story (at least in English). For a 3 star restaurant, I expected more.

Timing of the dishes was parsed very apart, to a point that I almost fell asleep (I was dining alone). No one walked up to me to chat or ask how I was doing/ where I was visiting from.

In general, it felt like a show where you paid for the name brand and the script but the casts were all understudies.
The staff were very friendly, there was one dish that we were a bit disappointed, and the staff bought a brand new dish for us. The atmosphere was excellent, Christmassy cozy vibe.

We’re struggling a bit with this one. We’ve been to many Michelin star restaurants, but this was our first experience with 3 stars. The food was incredible, but we really did not enjoy the overall experience. And for the price you pay, that’s hard to reconcile with.

I’ll start with the food. Nothing bad to say here. Multiple dishes had you saying “wow” as you take a bite. The menus are very well designed and the portions are pretty respectable. If you have the option, you have to try the veal chop - I’m still dreaming about it.

Now on to the experience. It’s a bit stuffy and pretentious. Look, you’ve got 3 stars, you can do that. It just wasn’t for us. The dining room is extremely bright and it’s almost silent. It’s like every table is afraid to make any noise because of how you’ll be perceived. Hard to describe the overall feeling, but it definitely wasn’t an enjoyable or welcoming environment.

The staff was certainly nice, but you’ll notice a lot of reviews mentioning that they constantly up-sell you. They’re right. They come to your table often trying to get you to spend more and then look down upon you if you turn it away. Again, just not for us.

Last thing here - the price. Again, you’ve got 3 stars, you can charge whatever you want. BUT - every single aspect needs to be perfect, and I can’t say that here. It’s pricey. Like, €120 per dish. Not going to dwell on this too much, we just didn’t feel good about the value we were getting. To each their own…

I’d still recommend coming here, just do a bit of your own research first.
We were definitely disappointed with our experience here. We were very excited given it's the only 3 star Michelin in Florence, but the food was good, not exceptional in flavour.

The service was very pushy in trying to upsell you at many points throughout the meal which qas off-putting.

Our first 3 star Michelin we wouldn't return to or recommend.
Excellent food and innovative dishes. Worth to visit

The place is amazing, right in the Cracco is definitely a special dining experience! The ambiance inside the Galleria is stunning, and the food is creative and full of amazing flavors. The service could use some improvement, but it's still quite good. The best part about Cracco is that it's more than just a restaurant - it's also a bistro and pastry shop, open all day long, with separate event spaces. It's the perfect place to grab a bite to eat or relax with some dessert. Overall, I'd say it's a top-notch culinary experience. 👌
Enoteca Pinchiorri in Florence is a culinary masterpiece. The restaurant offers a truly exceptional dining experience, with its impeccable service and an extensive wine list that will delight even the most discerning oenophiles. The cuisine is a harmonious blend of innovation and tradition, resulting in dishes that are not only visually stunning but also bursting with exquisite flavors. Dining here is a journey through the finest Italian ingredients, and it's no wonder Enoteca Pinchiorri has earned its three Michelin stars. A truly memorable gastronomic adventure.

I recently had the privilege of dining at Piazza Duomo in Alba, and it was nothing short of a gastronomic revelation. From the moment I stepped through the charming entrance, I knew I was in for an extraordinary dining experience.

The ambiance of Piazza Duomo is simply enchanting. The restaurant is nestled in the heart of Alba, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere that effortlessly combines modern elegance with traditional charm. The attentive staff made us feel like old friends, and their knowledge of the menu and wine pairings was impeccable.

Now, let's talk about the food. Chef Enrico Crippa is a true genius in the kitchen, and every dish that graced our table was a work of art. The tasting menu was a journey through the flavors and ingredients of the region, presented in a way that was both innovative and respectful of tradition. Each plate was a testament to the chef's dedication to sourcing the finest local ingredients, resulting in a symphony of flavors that danced on my palate. I can't emphasize enough how each course was a surprise, delighting and tantalizing my taste buds in ways I never thought possible.

One standout was the white truffle dish – a true Alba specialty. It was a divine experience, and the aroma alone was worth the visit. The wine list is extensive and well-curated, showcasing some of the finest local and Italian selections to complement the meal.

The service was impeccable throughout the evening. The staff's passion for the food and their attention to detail in explaining each course and wine pairing elevated the experience even further. They were always ready to answer questions and share their insights, which added a personal touch to the evening.

Piazza Duomo offers a dining experience that transcends the ordinary and leaves an indelible mark on your memory. It's not just a meal; it's an exploration of the Piedmont region's rich culinary heritage, executed with finesse and creativity. Dining here is not just a meal; it's a sensory adventure.

In conclusion, Piazza Duomo in Alba is an exceptional restaurant where art, culture, and gastronomy converge. It's a true destination for food lovers and anyone seeking a memorable dining experience. I can't recommend it enough, and I'm already counting the days until my next visit. Bravo, Piazza Duomo!
Poor experience for a Michelin starred restaurant. My husband and I were on a holiday to have an enjoyable time, but we left the restaurant with full of anger and disappointment without even getting to eat the mains of our €165 per pax course meal. This is the 1st time we have had such a bad experience with a Michelin starred restaurant as we have waited until 10pm (mind you, we arrived at 7.20pm) for our mains, i.e. pigeon, to arrive whilst other tables around us, which arrived an hour later than us, got their pigeons served. We’ve reminded them more than twice to speed up, but excuses after excuses were given such as “Kitchen was having problems”and “Pigeons needed to rest for 20 mins before serving”. With the excuses given, you see waiters passing by us serving pigeons to the other tables. All we expected was an honest answer after that long wait.
The ambience was the only thing commendable as the restaurant overlooks the river with a romantic table setting. Not sure if it’s worth paying for the service and food that you get though.

Excellence for anything especially for the two iconic dish such as photo 1 and 2. The point is that it is called like cappuccino, but the mian ingredient is 🦑.
Secondly for the past (photo 5) and the photo 3 such as Milan Risotto.
Above dishes they are best in such restaurants i tried in Hong Kong, London , China mainland and Vienna.

The experience at Il Palagio was nothing short of remarkable. From the moment we arrived, the wait staff, the ambiance, and the attention to detail all combined to create an exciting dining experience. This was not a typical restaurant; it was a Michelin star establishment, and the food was truly remarkable. This dinner should be savored and enjoyed; if you are looking for a quick meal, this would not be the best choice. Il Palagio has been crafted with an artist's eye, and it is meant to be admired, endured, and explored.

I wouldn't normally leave a review but I feel this restaurant definitely deserves at least a 4.5+ rating on Google. My partner and I had our first ever Michelin starred dining experience here. I went into it thinking my conclusion would be "that was nice but not worth the money." I was convinced that feeling was inevitable. I was wrong! It was worth it.

All the food was great. The only item I didn't absolutely clear my plate of was seaweed sorbet on the dessert. Everything else in our 8 course meal was delicious. It showcased Tuscan classics in a unique way, with some dishes more creatively expressed than others. The chef's skill with making addictive sauces is awesome. Every sauce was a 10/10.

Something is that we felt comfortable enough to laugh amongst each other and be casual, rather than intimidated. I wish I caught our waitresses name as she was wonderful. I've had issues with things feeling to serious/intimidating at other fine dining places. We prefer cocktails over wine and, while the sommelier seemed disappointed that we didn't choose wine, he wasn't nearly as pushy and pretentious like they are everywhere else.

A bonus of making a reservation here is seeing the Four Seasons (of course you can do this without eating dinner at Il Palagio but still, exploring the hotel is a great activity before/after dinner.) The Atrium Bar is absolutely gorgeous.

If it's your first Michelin star experience and you're wondering if it's the right choice (like we were), just book it!

Fantastic experience for a birthday dinner! I’ve eaten at several Michelin restaurants now but this was the first one where I left actually feeling full. The only not perfect note is that we dined outside and it felt a bit like a wedding reception. Otherwise: service, food, atmosphere, etc. was perfect!

Enchanting, artistic, and nostalgic. Superb presentation, every detail of each plate was carefully constructed with a combination of colours and delicate combination of hundreds of ingredients to create a uniformed and harmonious taste. My wife and I spared no expenses. We went for the 11 course seasonal things with the barolo and barbaresco pairing. Although it's called a pairing, they are 2 distinct paths, naturally the barolo/barbaresco are only red wines. Each dish was able to introduce countless ingredients without overlapping or overpowering one another. Where a particular ingredient (ie. Ricci) was the protagonist then all the ingredients worked together to make the protagonist stand out. Each dish for the most part was presented with a stock/broth which was kept in a seperate glass. You chose the dose and when to sip which allowed for experimentation with each dish. The wine pairing was also exquisite, i would have liked 1 more barabresco, but of course barolo is king here. Staff were very attentive, friendly and incredibly passionate. They went above and beyond as they had kindly organized a surprise gift for my wife which added the final touch to this incredible experience

I was invited to Uliassi for my birthday. We had a table outside with a a lovely view on the sea during a hot and sunny day.
We had the classic menu, cost 250€ wines excluded.
I was quite disappointed by this experience. Of all the 11 dishes served only the calamari was excellent. Most of the other dishes, though with all with a lovely presentation, left me quite perplexed not really understanding all the mix of flavors sometimes very confusing, too often citrus flavors taking over. Wine menu is excellent but prices are ridiculously high for Italy.
For this price I was expecting a unique culinary experience, all I got was a posh experience with excellent service with instagramable dishes in a nice location. I would strongly advise against this experience if you are more into traditional and unpretentious cuisine.

From perfect protagonist of summer holiday postcards, the Adriatic Riviera becomes a painting or, if you prefer, an art film thanks to Mauro Uliassi's compelling performance. The restaurant seems almost hidden and confused among the bathing establishments that crowd the Senigallia coastline: one would never expect a 3 Michelin Star camouflaged among beach umbrellas and sea waves. The strength and originality of this cuisine lies precisely in the consistency of being able to offer the best starting from what surrounds it, with the courage to draw on and confront the best known and familiar gastronomic traditions, the same ones that have decreed the success of this coastline, but giving it a creative and personal interpretation. The sea, of course, with its flavours and aromas, but also the hinterland, with its never extinguished passion for the Marche's game tradition: sea and mountains, the true soul of regional cuisine. A colourful experience warmed by the smile of the owners, in addition to Mauro, his sister Catia doing the honours and Filippo, the chef's son. Without forgetting that, in respect of the territory, they have now banned plastic and do their utmost to convince sailors not to use polystyrene to transport fish.
Food was excellent, we order the premium wine tasting and it wasn’t a perfect pairing. I told the waiter that I didn’t like one of the wines and he didn’t pay attention. They keep bringing wines that I didn’t like and I keep leaving them on the table. The dessert wine had a vinager smell and I didn’t drink it.

Food was amazing and it’s worth the visit but the pairing it’s awful. It’s better to orde from the wine list.

Le Calandre is a culinary masterpiece that tantalizes the senses and pushes boundaries. The innovative dishes are a harmonious symphony of flavors, meticulously crafted to perfection. The service is impeccable, creating a truly indulgent and unforgettable dining journey. Each course is a work of art, showcasing the chef's passion and creativity. A three-star Michelin gem that redefines fine dining and sets the bar astonishingly high. Prepare to be amazed and pampered in a league of culinary excellence that few can rival.

~Style. 4 monastic rooms in historical residential building
~Setting. Ancient Alba across from the picturesque piazza & church built over Roman ruins
~Explore. Pedestrian friendly Alba
~Rooms. Was in room 1. Two balconies. Fantastic view of the summer concert (notte di San Lorenzo) in front of the church at night, watching it from my balcony was such a lovely experience. The rooms are in the same building as the restaurant via a corridor.

Disappointment.
We visit Michelin-starred restaurants from time to time and of course, this time we were expecting an unusual experience.
All 4 people took a set of 9 dishes.
Surprisingly, we all came out hungry.
Several dishes were left unfinished.
None of the staff even asked what was the reason that the guests initially leave small portions half-eaten.
We are surprised that this restaurant occupies a leading position.
The original function of the restaurant to feed the guest was not fulfilled.
So the gastronomic experience cannot be called memorable.
Great location is the only thing worth the money. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend a visit.

Simply the most sublime food experience of my life, and I guarantee that for 99% of the population. I will have to write an essay for all the dishes, and all items have words such as wow, incredible, insanely delicious. Pricey absolutely. Worth it for an extraordinary meal beyond measure? 100%.

Service is impeccable, none of the snootiness associated with such caliber. We felt like we were the only customers at the restaurant that night. Treated like royalty in a fantasy place.

Even let my son play on their grand piano with genuine appreciation.

Easy choice for a last meal before I die, and it is not remotely close. The ambiance is second to none.

Bittersweet experience that I’d rather avoid in the future. The food and the technique used in the kitchen are quite good. That being said, the service level is not how it should be from my experience, at a 3 Michelin star restaurant. There were two sommeliers in the hall we were dining in and unfortunately we were assigned one who was quite arrogant and definitely lacked professionalism, experience and technical knowledge. In addition to this, last night there was no Maitre D’ who came to introduce himself at the beginning of the evening, to whom we could signal this (as there usually is at a Michelin 3 Star restaurant). It is such a shame as mostly the rest of staff was friendly and the level of creativity of the dishes was noteworthy. I would advice to first consider other Michelin-starred restaurants around the area rather than going to Le Calandre.

Food's amazing. Very very long wine list.
Atmosphere and service are a bit cold - typical of great restaurants but less my style.
Best meal of my life. Better than Jiro’s, better than Utzutzu, better even than Rumour (my previous #1). And I am not a Michelin loyalist, please look at my other reviews. I care about value and care nothing about appearances, but this meal is absolutely worth every penny and then some.

I was initially attracted by the sea urchin pasta dish, but the eel and red mullet dishes proved to be the supreme winners, yet every single dish of the seven course tasting menu was out of this world. The wine pairings were magical. And the service was better than I’ve experienced anywhere in the world. Every dish came out the moment we were ready for it, not a beat earlier or later. Wines were replenished within a moment of being consumed. The vibe was exceedingly warm and endearing. My only regret of the whole meal is that I did not get the chance to thank the chef for the meal in person.

Leaving the busy commercial area, you enter the fabulous world of Le Calandre, a modern and essential room, impeccable service but also informal enough to desacralise the atmosphere and discover the world of Massimiliano Alajmo: three tasting menus, with ample opportunity to reduce and cross the dishes, which go from the restaurant's unmissable classics that have set the standard, such as the famous cappuccino of cuttlefish with black ink, to itineraries in which the chef never ceases to discover and experiment, to surprise and amaze. And if you want to take away a gastronomic souvenir, opposite the restaurant is their speciality shop.
Best meal I had in Italy! It was very expensive but well worth it, the food was absolutely excellent! And the head Sommelier, Salvatore, crafted amazing pairings with the food and some of those wines are now our all time favorites. Recommend sitting outside to enjoy the view. I had the summer tasting menu and my wife had the vegetarian tasting menu, both were fantastic.

(about the restaurant, not the unconnected hotel) incredible experience and food, only problem was there was a bit too much food! We booked for lunch and the Classics menu with wine pairings which I highly recommend. Favourites were the carbonara, bone marrow, risotto and the first cold tomato dish. Wish I could go back and eat it all over again!
My wife and I had an incredible dinner at Borgo San Jacopo, and it was easily the best dining experience we had on our trip to Florence. The food and service were exceptional, and the staff made us feel very welcome and catered to. We would highly recommend and certainly return if a trip back to Florence is in the stars!

A difficult decision to make a review. On the one hand the 8 courses menu was very good. A high interpretation of Italian cuisine. But there were to many disappointments. Starting with the last, the dessert was very special with seaweed as ingredient. The portions of the different courses were very strange what is not normal for a Michelin star restaurant. But the most disappointing part of the evening was the sommelière. She recommended a red wine that didn’t match the main course at all. And the „sweet“ dessert wine was sour and not sweet (even would have paired good to the strange dessert). But then she should have said this, the moment my wife asked for a sweet wine. The service at all was very engaged, but because of a big group in the restaurant they seemed very stressed. Also there were a lot of main components of the different dishes that weren’t listed in the menu like goat cheese, coriander or raisins. Not the typicial Michelin star restaurant experience you would expect.

One of the best tasting menu experiences i’ve ever had! Every dish was well crafted and prepared beautifully, making simple dishes like salads taste amazing and new. Stand out dishes were the beef and veal salad. Service was super friendly and personal, and their wine selection was pristine. This restaurant to worth the visit 100%.
The service was great and the food was generally good. But I don’t know if a seven course lunch had to take 3.5 hours. The sea urchin/seaweed pasta stood out and was my favorite(it got better as i took each bite) but frankly speaking, a 2 star michelin restaurant should have more dishes that are memorable. They do use cool ingredients
This restaurant is a must try if you're looking for fine dining and Michelin star rated food. The wait staff was very friendly and professional. There are only 7 tables so it's a very intimate setting. The food was amazing. We got the 7 course tasting menu and it did not disappoint! The staff were great at explaining all of the dishes as they came. Be prepared to stay there for about 3-3.5 hours, but every minute will be pleasant and well worth your time! I hope to come back to this place one day 💞

We had the Barolo set but I must say I was a bit disappointed as the menu creator had too much constraint as they must sticked to the tradition which mean more boundary. May be the normal menu would be a better choice as it would showcase the chef creativity and skills. So for the Barolo menu I must say base on its merit, it is not worth it. Services were of course top notch as per Michelin 3-stars.

We absolutely loved our dinner here. The tasting menu was well thought out. The flow of flavors and textures was impeccable. All of the courses were on point. The best though was the veal dish. It was absolutely fantastic melt in your mouth goodness with simple flavors. The restaurant is also in a very beautiful square. Overall a very good detour on our trip.
What a fantastic dinner we had last night at Ristorante Borgo San Jacopo. Tasting menu was fantastic for everyone including the vegetarian. Wonderful and generous wine pairings, a beautiful ambience, gorgeous glassware from Riedel. Standout dishes, the artichoke, the tagliolini Al tartufo, the fusilli with crab, the porchetta. All delicious! But then everything was so good, not 1 boring dish. The biggest thing however was the fantastic service, everyone was so lovely and so personal. In particular for me the fantastic Salvatore who indulged my obsession with wine. If you are an oenophile please go see him for a charming and engaging experience with their wonderful ever changing wine selection as they are all limited production special Italian finds. A huge thank you to the Ristorante Borgo San Jacopo team for a very special night. We all had a wonderful evening.

This restaurant is one of the most impressive I have ever been to. I especially liked the whole concept, history, you can feel the Italian vibe, old traditions. I really liked the service, it's especially nice that customers are served by one of the restaurant's owners, Giancarlo Camanini, you feel that he perfectly knows the features of cooking each dish from A to Z. Most liked dishes such as bread with oyster, pasta with yeast flakes, risotto with black garlic and undoubtedly the siganture dish - cacio a pepe, made inside the pig blader.
Beautiful location. Amazing food.

Absolutely MIND BLOWING experience. Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to a feast for kings. Not only was it the best meal that I have ever had in my life, but the entire dining experience was top-notch. The next time I am in Italy, I am making Alba a priority stop. Thank you, Piazza Duomo, for showing me how good food can truly be

We had dinner at Il Palagio twice in December 2022. The first time was for my birthday in early December and the second time was between Christmas and New Year's. On both visits we were fortunate to have Andrea as our lead waiter who shepherded us through an incredible dining experience. When we originally booked Il Palagio, we booked it for the San Miniato white truffle menu. On our first visit, we enjoyed both the truffle risotto and the truffle tagliolini as our primi course. (They are quite generous with the truffle and you can pay for additional truffle.)
On our second visit, we replaced the taglionlini with the the linguine morelli as a primi. We ordered the beef filet for two as our secondi on both visits. While we rarely had room for dessert, they did surprise us with a small dessert for my birthday, as well as a checkerboard of small sweets to choose from. (You can't go wrong. Everything is delicious.)

In addition to the courses we ordered, we were offered a variet of delicate amuse bouche between courses, as well as bread with new olive oil and herb butter. The flavors were fresh and rich.

There is an extensive wine list and a sommelier available to help with wine selection. They were very helpful in selecting the right wine for our menu choices.

Everything, from the risotto to the filet, was cooked to perfection, but one of the most impressive parts of dining at Il Palagio is the presentation. Presentation is part of the experience. The ambiance of the holiday decor made the restaurant feel extra romantic and cozy. Andrea and his team make the entire meal a production that is elegant, memorable, and most important, tasty.

Thank you so much to Andrea and his team for making our celebrations in December so very memorable. (We also loved his recommendations for sightseeing off-the-beaten track in Florence!)

We definitely will be back!
Outstanding service and delicious food. We had the winter tasting menu with wine pairing. The wine pairing was the absolute star of the show - the sommelier could see our keen interest in wine and his efforts were greatly appreciated. I would highly recommend doing the wine pairing with your tasting menu

Views of the ponte vecchio from the restaurant can also be stunning if seated at the right table.

I recently dined here, a small and charming restaurant that had some great dishes, as well as a few that were not as enjoyable. The service was friendly, although somewhat inconsistent. The wine menu was interesting. Based in my experience, I would recommend ordering a la carte rather than opting for the tasting menu.

Of the dishes I tried, the trottole with rabbit offal ragout, sweetbreads with carrots and ginger, and the smoked eel with beetroot and sour cream were all excellent. The sole with black truffle and Champagne was favorite.

If you do decide to try the tasting menu, I would recommend keeping an open mind and being adventurous. The sweetbreads were a surprising and delightful dish, with interesting flavors and a very tender texture. However, I found the lamb and artichoke to be disappointing, as the meat was quite gamey and the artichoke had a strong liver flavor. The timing between courses was also quite slow, especially toward the end of your meal.

Because we were in Alba and it was truffle season, we had decided to go all out to try the truffle tasting menu at the 3* Michelin restaurant, Piazza Duomo.
Perhaps my expectations had hampered the experience, imho, I thought the menu was pretty one tone and lacked a tad bit of creativity. It could also be that to truly appreciate white truffle, you need to pair it with selective ingredients that are complementary. 🤷🏻‍♀️ That said, every dish was still executed well, plated beautifully and hospitality impeccable.

Delicious foods, beautiful restaurant and plating, and attention to detail service. This is exactly what I was looking for when dining at Michelin starred restaurant. It offers tasting menu and a la carte.

It located in the Four Season hotel. The hotel is very beautiful as well. Don’t forget to enjoy all the beautiful decors in the lobby.

I genuinely thanked several times the chef and his fantastic team for the experience provided, a moment of true discovery.

I had a vegan version of the "viaggio-Crippa" tasting menu (three of my dishes were originally on their standard menu) and a matching selection of regional wine.
Very impressive research work, as never seen elsewhere, noticeable from the very first bite. The antipasto piemontese made me smile playing with around 10 separate vegetable plates bringing outstanding flavour - worth a mention the carrot plate, so full of flavour that it felt as having some kind of edible parfum in my mouth for several seconds, a fantastic surprise never felt before.
The iconic salad 21-31-41-51... with around 85 different ingredients handpicked by the chef every early morning from their local greenhouse speaks already by itself. Fantastic new flavour, very well balanced, perfectly "engineered". My experience continued with several other fantastic dishes and I felt privileged being there. We both felt, after trying several other competitors as this was the best culinary experience we ever had.

Pleasant service run by an incredibly experienced restaurant manager.
We are certain that we will come back. You will not find anything alike in Italy, it's definitely worth traveling there, even exclusively for the experience.

One of the best meals we ever had. You wouldn’t expect a restaurant like this in rubano. Beautiful sereen decoration. Amazing staff. Nice detail that the chef came to our table. We also love to meet the creator. We had the classic menu which was surprising, amazing dishes. We were lucky that we had a table for lunch. We fell from one surprise into the next. We understand that this restaurant is rated as one of the best of the world. We will be back!

An outstanding four hour meal that was amazing from start to finish. Each dish was a thoughtful work of art and delicious. The service was marvelous. Needless to say we left with smiles on our faces and marveled that we stretched one bottle of (fantastic) wine through the whole meal (hey we needed to get to Rome for the evening).

Well deserved 2 michelin stars. Service and food was on point.

The restaurant is housed in the only circular tower in all of Florence with an interesting past - it used to be a female prison. Do book in advance as there are only a few tables in the whole restaurant.
Had lunch here because couldn’t get dinner table. The chef here is greatly influenced by Japanese cuisine, as a global trend. The appetizers’ texture were very pleasant! Too pleasant it took me a while to finish them. I’m glad to see yuzu here in Italy simply because I love yuzu. The pasta we had had sea urchins from Sicily, which was interesting to me. I only have had unis (sea urchins) from the Pacific Northwest and Japan, so this added another location to my library. Although the uni in the pasta was very very tiny, I felt like I could barely taste it. I assume too much uni would throw out the balance of the dish, oh well.

The place is absolutely fabulous, cozy atmosphere, very high quality of impressive menu. An amazing Michelin restaurant with marvellous food and impeccable service in an incredible palace, beautiful all the way. Every attention to detail has been made and the staff are always on point. Definitely we will come back again.
Absolutely incredible. Definitely one of, if not the best meal or our lives. The service and presentation of each dish was superb.

Highly recommend! You will not regret it. We had the 7 course degustation with paired wines

Great experience and tasting menu. Refined dishes focused on seasonal products from Tuscanny so the perfect place to visit if you want something a little fancier than the local trattorias. Everything was great but my favorite was the risotto which showed off the best possible combination of cheese and tomato.

Also notable was the wine pairing which had generous pours of very serious wines. This was appreciated as wine pairings these days seem to be more of a profit center for restaurants with high pricing and average wines. That was not the case here at all.

Extraordinary.
You eat mainly fish, but you can't call it "fish restaurant".
Recipes are creative and impossible to describe: do not make a choice, trust the chef.
The quality and the creativeness of the food deserve all possible stars.
The location is not impressive on its own, but pleasant and appropriate for a nice experience.
The staff is young, but well trained and full of enthusiasm.

watch out for your cell phone, as they hide it in the very beginning of your stay, without warning in advance...

they will slightly push you to buy additional items at the end, but in the very beginning there was no consultation regarding the electronic wine card... so we ordered a French rosé. I wouldn't ever buy this wine in the supermarket and never saw it in France before. much too sweet, but no somelier around, no information, just ipad.

the first course was very basic. ok, chef warming up...

the risotto was cosmic - a lot of references to it. amazing!

the tartar you eat with your hands - no spoon - even for the caviar on it.

this is a nice, slightly overpriced restaurant. not #10 for sure.

One of the best dining experiences I have ever had. We had a 4-hour lunch with beautiful views of the water from our table. The restaurant was airy and full of light. The food was delectable. We did both of the tasting menus that they offered so it was nice to try a little bit of everything. The presentation of each dish was gorgeous and the flavors of each subsequent dish was different from the next. Service was amazing. Very memorable experience and cannot wait to go back one day soon!
One of our favorite meals that we have ever eaten in Italy. The service is very professional, the outdoor seating on the piazza is beautiful, and the food is refined and exciting. We were surprised to be served an appetizer course of small dishes as a surprise with compliments from the restaurant. The rabbit dumplings with fava beans was the perfect spring dish. Absolutely heavenly. Millefoglie and amari for dessert did not disappoint. They also brought a complimentary dessert surprise — little wafers with Campari jam. Just unreal. You must eat here if you are looking for an exciting meal in Lucca.

During my trip to Venice, I ventured out to Podova which is about 40 minutes west of Venice just to visit Le Calandre. In short, best decision. From the welcoming staffs to perfectly prepared dishes, I enjoyed the every minute I stayed there.
Service and attention to detail expected from a 2-star michellin restaurant. Went with the 7 course tasting menu with the wine flight - slight disappointment that the matches included tea (with the first course) and an a beer (in place of dessert wine) however much I could be convinced that they were a perfect match. Food was superbly presented, with varied courses keeping the interest high. All comes at a price that will mean it's reserved for special occasions but didn't disappoint.

Really nice location, just near to the sea. You'll feel like you are dining with the feet in the water. The brother is a very talented chef and the sister is finely handling the service. You'll have the opportunity to choose amongst 3 menù, the classic one, the "new features" one and the wildfowl one. All are very good, but I strongly recommend the wildfowl one. The atmosphere is very welcoming and the personnel is nice.
We had a wonderful experience at Santa Elisabetta, very well deserved 2 Michelin stars and I’m sure they will get the third soon. The restaurant is located in the first floor of a beautiful building, the dinning room is really charming with only 6 tables in it. The food was completely outstanding, every course in the menu was A+. The menu is long, 9 main courses + unlimited homemade bread + 2 desserts + petit fours, we spent almost 4 hours eating. The room staff was very kind, they treated us very well. We let the sommelier choose 2 wines for us and after explaining our tastes he find the perfect choice. Best restaurant in Firenze hands down if you love fine dining.

Very good restaurant, deserving their Michelin star. Staff was just casual and friendly enough to make the experience relaxed, but still very professional.
We had the vegetarian 6 course menu and the ‘normal’ 6 course menu and both were delicious. Wine selection was also great.
One of the best dining experiences I have ever had. Great value for money.

Highly recommended. We had a great experience with their tasting menu. The menu dishes had a good flow. The flavors were excellently balanced. The dishes, surprisingly, had layers of flavor and ingredients. This is in direct contrast to what you expect from ‘minimal ingredients’ Italian cuisine. Yet it does not take away from the experience, but rather lends to it. The wines were well paired. We opted for the local (regional) wine pairing and it was a great choice. We discovered some local wines which are made from rare grapes that were almost lost! The ambiance was what you expect: comfortable, easy yet sophisticated, and a healthy sea breeze. One minor nag is that the service was not as jovial as can be expected in such a place. The staff were not as excited about their own dishes as they should have been.

Lido 84 is one of the worlds best restaurants for a reason. Impeccable food, warm service that comes to define Italian hospitality, a simply stunning restaurant and have we mentioned it’s on Lake Garda?! I’ve been here twice one year a part and it only goes from strength to strength.

Just perfect…
We visited Alba during the truffle festival and Piazza Duomo was an experience we did not want to miss. Everything was so perfect, the textures, the balance of flavour and the feeling to leave the restaurant just right. And what creativity, the dish I will remember because my expectations were low was the 70 ingredients salad, it blew me away… so let yourself go and key the chef takes control of your senses for one unforgettable evening

We had our dinner here tonight and it has been an amazing experience. Alberto Faccani hosted us with art and creativity. The dishes and the wine selection are simply on its best combination. The dessert was a big surprise and delightful explosion of taste. The service is very professional and always ready to advise and explain every dish. Well done Alberto! We'll definitely be back soon.
Came here with a party of 6, beautiful atmosphere, and food presentation was impeccable. Service and overall taste of food could be better. I loved chicken and the beef tartar, all other dishes she tried were underwelming. The food was nice for taking pictures though!
Great food, try their tasting menu (with wine pairing) and you'll have the possibility to taste some local specialties renewed with style and with a classy touch. Cozy place, highly suggested for a romantic dinner or for a small group. Good service. Michelin starred (1*) restaurant.
