To be frank, if I were to revisit this eatery again, it would be for the wanton mee. Certainly not for the beverages or egg toast.
Even the ordinary neighborhood kopitiams can easily obliterate this. The soft boiled eggs are way too cooked. And the drinks are honestly bordering tasteless, so much so for a highly acclaimed kopitiam.
Otherwise, a great place for a much more less packed and leisure breakfast.

came for heavy breakfast, ordered food from next door! chee cheong fun with pork skin n curry is nice. pork intestine satay is good, pork satay is better than chicken satay, pudding also not bad. kopi oso ok, served by senior waiter, ppl may think their service is slow and bad but i think they are actually quite funny and humour, just need to be patience haha. look at our table with lots of food!
Above average food. Can call food from neighbouring kopitiam. Toasted egg with bread so so. Roast pork seems to be very popular.
I rate the atmosphere 5* bcos I love crowd. More the merrier. It proves that the food is edible and you hardly go wrong. However, this place is an exception.

Happy to see such a busy place. They are thriving and the atmosphere is fantastic. As a tourist, what we want is something flavourful and authentically local and edible. We don't mind paying the extra but please offer us something acceptable in return.
I know taste is subjective. However this is ridiculously not up to Kai-xi hor fun standard. This kind of flavour made first timer traumatic. Very complicated flavour and correct me if I'm wrong, high in MSG. Just not right, my friend. If you ask me to rate, it is definitely below the one in Wing Fat Xiao Chao and Moon de Moon. It is just half a point above Loke Wooi Kee(I find it bland).
IMHO, a bowl of kaixi hor fun has to be clean in prawnly flavours (hor-fun, I'm not good at it and I find almost the same in every stall), chives a must to balance the flavour and the soup is thick with body but clean and balance. If everything is met as above, you get the oomph and wow factor. I found these flavours in Wing Fat Xiaochao (Kg. Pasir Pinji) kaixi hor fun. Moon de Moon is the one to go if you like lighter/clean version of Kaixi hor fun.

Great oldie styled Kopitiam. Great coffee. Kaya toast. There were other interesting food on offer but we could not try all as we had just finished our lunch earlier.

Arrived on 2pm normal Friday, luckily not so crowded. Packed with local specialties here, Tricycle Chicken Rice Noodles Soup RM 9.00, Mixed Satey platter RM 12.00 : 3 sticks Pork (Local specialties, usually can't find in other state), 3 sticks Chicken, 2 chicken livers, 2 Chicken gizzards serve with peanut chilies sauce. The curry chee cheong fun with pig skin is perfect matched to the satay. After meal, one can order the caramel custard as dessert, local brew coffee and tea also available here.
Kai see hor fun is very generous with the meat. The soup is flavorful. It is one of the few kai see hor fun that I found delicious in Ipoh.
Egg custard is above average. The flavour is great but the texture can be improved.
Popiah is delicious and was served fast.

Bought their matcha(RM10), taste like Aik Cheong matcha packets (RM1.50). 😂😂😂 What a joke. This is why malaysian malas support local.

Have more food nowadays. Service was slow, we asked one of the staff to clean up our table she was basically ignoring us. Nothing great about the food and drink. Time has changed, our taste bud are used to many other better quality stuff already
Great kopi lady that’s specific and attentive. Love the egg texture. Nasi lemak bungkus was great too. Just wish they’d use butter instead or margarine on the bread.
Lovely place right by the river. Very friendly staff, good cakes and coffee at affordable prices and high-speed WiFi - the fastest I've had in any coffee shop in town in fact. Overall a great place!
Not many people know this but Sin Yoon Loong is the founder of Ipoh White Coffee! While the opposite Nan Xiang were the ones who worked with old town to spread the name of Ipoh White Coffee, Sin Yoon Loong was the one who created the iconic coffee in the Ipoh town. I always made sure to get their packet coffee back for my colleagues and also have their amazing chee cheong fun. The roast pork is also delicious and overall i enjoy the authentic ipoh coffeeshop experience in this place. 👍🏻
Standard food but outstanding bad service. Those either shop owner or service crew act like you owe them one thousand past life. Perhaps he thinks that his style but customers don't pay for sour faces.
I was very hesistant to come here after reading various latest reviews, but ended up coming here cos the rest of eateries are not opened on 2nd Jan. What the others reviews said was correct. So if you are thinking whether to hv nice and authentic Ipoh food, this is not the place. It’a very ordinary, made for tourist.

Friendly and warm service. Food are great and flavourful but we find the sauces are quite sweet and the coffee tasted like 50% sugar. We will definitely go back to try out more of their dishes!
Excellent food, roti bakar, roti kaya, wan tan mee with BBQ pork...a few fishes done really well, fast and delicious. Well priced. White coffee is also great. Busy but tables turn over quickly. Worth the visit!

Probably my favourite coffee in Ipoh. The food was good but I mainly come for the coffee, with most of my food orders from Nam Heong across the road. Both coffeeshops are friendly and allow food to be brought across as long as you drink their coffee.
If you're not from Ipoh, chances are you visited this restaurant. To assess the food from a tourist's viewpoint, I suggest trying the shredded chicken noodle, pork satay, and caramel custard. Keep in mind there's a 50-cent charge for using the restroom.
The curry laksa here is phenomenal. Handmade noodles. Springy textures, bouncy consistency, smooth.

The reason I come here was because of the milk tea with teapot, first of all it's cute but it's really expensive and the tea was only 6/10 portion in the cup, we open up the cover because we wonder why the cup so light weight, I spent Rm18 for the cuteness only I guess, the milk tea tasteless, I can't feel the tea or milk in anywhere😂The food portion were so small and taste really common, nothing so special and priceyyy, The place still ok, comfortable and cooling air.

This is yet another very popular coffee shop for white coffee. But they don't have many hawker stalls like the one opposite. Most people come for their white coffee & toast. But the wanton mee stall is great, they server good wanton mee with tasty roasted charsiew. There is also a roast pork stall selling crispy skin roast pork. Having some roast pork to accompany your cup of coffee is just what local people love to do.
It’s a compulsory visit for me every time balik kampung, friendly staff, cosy environment, have considerate amount of drink choices - coffee, non-coffee, and fruit flavoured beverages (If I’m not mistaken). But from the website I didn’t find any pick up service available. Only delivery. I forgot to ask in person, but please let me know here if you do have pick up service via website/apps/text so I can just order and pick up to reduce waiting time. 🙏🏽 Thanks and keep up the good work.
Semuanya best kecuali no space for dine in before 5pm, sangat² rugi. I'm outsider, so kami beli set croissant with choc dip n whipped cream & few pastries & drinks. Taste so good.

If part time waiters no need training please say it. Without experience asking what item it is just walk around. Only one pretty nice girl will patience explain for it. Only one! The cafe looked clean & the bread was displayed in a neat & nice manner. Bought a sourdough bread to go & checked if able to slice it for me. The guy said they do & start preparing to slice.
However , I was shocked to see him using his bare hands to handle the bread & he proceeded to use a cloth (unsure if it's clean) on the table to wipe the bread knife before cutting. The whole cutting process was done with bare hands in front of me. Food hygiene was bad & all this is being done in front of me.

Nice coffee & view, helpful staff. Trying their signature coffee, not bad. It's good for a takeaways. Kalau nak stay, space tu agak limited.

Quite big portion. The American chicken chop recommended, cheese bake rice so so only. Can try their double drinks, one side sweet, one side non sweet.

Had tea time over here with some breads and quick bite. Their signature coffee not my taste while the coffee butter is better. You have to order and pay at the counter.

We came around 9am, there was plenty of space, when it hit 9.30am the crowd came in but the turnover is very fast. The food is very yummy, I got the char kway towards eggs, and it was cooked for order. Hubby got a chicken rice. This is a special dish. I never had it before till now, a bit like braised chicken rice but with their own style. The drinks we got were cham and milo o. It's good, too.
Charkeytiaw is nice. Gingeronion chicken rice so so.. fried chicken must try! Cham here got unique taste.. I guess coffee will be more tastier.

This coffee is a must visit place if you are around Segamat. It bring back the harmony between many races in Malaysia. Just like a restaurant in KL name after Ali, Muthu Dan Ah Kaw. Keep up this good harmonic environment. Bravo 👏

Nice place for light breakfast, a classic kopitiam. Love the kopi-o, really thick black coffee. Nasi lemak so-so; only got small portion of chili (not sambal) & hot. 2 kaya toast, 2 half boiled eggs, kopi-o & the nasi lemak RM9.40. Ok for me.

I gave a shout to malay owner to take challenge of opening a great coffee spot. It grew on me and to my finds it palatable for her to latte. Usually she would gave a disapprove looks when tried my usual coffee drink but not this place as the ratio of milk and great espresso ahot. This place needa a flamboyany marketig.
I datang dari JB, order Choc cream chip dan ice vanilla latte. Rasa dia sgt sedap. I jenis susah puji air barista jual. Mostly dorang jual kadang ada sedap. Kadang tak sedap. Tp this barista! So sedapppp! Nora bg 5 bintang!!

Yesterday night i order four sandwiches and today i call up to ask the owner/manager to add a little mayonnaise onto my ham sandwiches, she replies to me in harsh way saying (why didn't you say yesterday, as i already pack everything), Is it very hard for a simple task requested from your customer? Moderate for coffee and bread. Service is bad. Bought coffee n some bread for lunch in this shop. After almost an hour of sitting here, Owner turned off the air conditioning by sending message: it's time to leave. In fact, I'm going to leave in 5 mins. If they can hold for another 5 mins they will deserve a 3 stars! Please improve your service for better business! Thank you.
