Its a scam. After they take the money they don't return your phone call or text if issue isnt fixed. costed 350 to fix my washer was on lock mode. Tech came to "unclog" it but afterwards continued the problem. My washer still wasnt draining. Lost $350 plus a damaged washer. Now I gotta buy a new washer. I should've bought a new one to begin with. Dont waste your money I was tricked when I saw 5 star reviews.

Before anything, I’d like to mention that this is the firs negative review I’ve written on line, ever. This company left me with terrible disappointment. I made an appointment over the phone with Rob who is mentioned in reviews by others multiple times, which leads me to believe that he is well established at this company. I explained about my broken fridge and the stress it’s causing, he sounded sympathetic and said they will evaluate for a fee and let me know what ( if anything ) can be done.
On the day of the appointment no one showed up all day, nor did anyone contacted me from the company. I left 2 messages and emailed over the following days- zero response. I feel that this is an extremely disrespectful way to treat a customer that you agreed to make an appointment with and wasting someone’s time like this is unprofessional.

Disappointed, the owner sent a guy who did not know anything and kept on telling different parts were no good. Then, after I spoke to his boss, he checked again and now it was something else. Paid him 75 bucks and he said at the end it was the evaporator motor and it would cost 665.00 to fix. I called someone else and turns out it was a 25.00 part, and charged me 50.00 .... stay away from them the workers have no clue what they are doing its a guessing game for them.

I have been calling weekly for over a month for a part for my Black & Decker portable air conditioner. Promises have been made to escalate and ship within the week and it still has not shipped. They state they are escalating to a manager, but that I cannot be transferred to them and there is no other phone number to call. I will be seriously reconsidering my purchase of future black and decker products if they continue referring to this company for replacement parts.

Very impressed with this company. When my fridge temperatures were fluctuating they came out promptly, correctly diagnosed the fan as being the issue, ordered the new part, and were ready to install it two business days later. After installation the temperatures at the top of the fridge were still high, so I called them back. Robert came out same day (on a weekend no less), adjusted the fan height, and now the whole fridge is a perfect uniform temperature. Problem solved. The pricing is very transparent and worth every penny. If you choose to have them repair, they'll apply the fee to diagnose toward the cost of the repair. Both Paul and Robert took the time to explain the problem to me, which I also very much appreciated. Going forward, Appliance Man will be my first call for anything that breaks and I recommend it be yours as well.

On Friday, called and spoke with Robert. We scheduled an appointment for the next week when someone would be home. He was friendly and professional. Then, on Saturday (the following morning) AV (Victor) called and asked if someone would be home which we were. AV came over, diagnosed the issue and fixed it right away, and fee was very reasonable.

Booked a technician thru this company. He came 3 times until he can figure out what part he needed back in October. It took him 2 months to get the part. I've been trying to get him to come and repair the stove since new year and he keeps missing appointments and making excuses. He already got paid for the repair and half of the part and keeps wasting my time. The company says the technician is responsible and that I have to get my money back from him. The technicians they use aren't their employees so they have no say in what they do. They just make appointments for them. If anything goes wrong you're on your own.

I scheduled an appointment. They had me block of 9am-5pm (the whole day) for their visit. They arrived with almost no notice and then charged $100+ fee just to tell me what I already know (that my laundry rim needed to be swapped out). They then wanted to charge me $700 for a new rim of which $350 was going to be labor to do what is 10 minutes of work. This would also have required another full day of waiting several weeks out from the day of the estimate. The worker seemed extremely anxious and was very unclear about pricing, timing, and other factors related to the final quote. I decided to decline the quote due to the extreme unprofessionalism and would recommend others not to consider this company.

Worst experience possible! Once the reps in India lie about the service they claim will be provided, You can never speak to them again. No numbers are available to call. The techs are like Uber drivers, independent and don’t work for sears. There is no sears its a scam. No physical locations as they claim when google searching. It’s all a lie. Only recourse is to stop cc payment and hire a legit company. What a joke. Would never hire again!

I contacted the guys to repair the refrigerator. The problem turned out to be serious, the motor burned out and it was necessary to change it. There's nothing to be done, a new refrigerator is much more expensive. They ordered me a new motor and a few days later they came for a replacement. Everything was done quickly, the refrigerator works like new now. I'm glad.

Our Miele dishwasher broke in Northern NJ. I found Appliance Man on line which can sometimes end up with a bad result, however, I saw a lot of 5 star reviews. This company was extremely professional. They explained everything clearly. They kept us up to date with the part ordering. They gave us a window of time in advance when they would arrive but then they called us as soon as they knew exactly when they would arrive. The repairman diagnosed our issue immediately, ordered the necessary part, and then came back on time to fix it. They deserve all five stars. They were perfect.

This was a great experience for me. I had an awful experience with Mr. Appliance of NYC which is right down the street from where I live so I was hesitant to call another place in the neighborhood. If I could give this company negative stars I would. I bought a compact washer and dryer supposedly black and decker less than a year ago and now it's completely dead I have made in the last month to date over 70 phone calls and sent 23 emails today alone I've emailed them every hour on the hour demanding a response. I have received one email from this company giving me half directions I have since sent photograph of proof of me following their directions and now after two weeks cents still no replacement and no follow up. I have filed a Better Business Bureau complaint because it's so ridiculous these units are not cheap and somebody needs to stand by them

I’ve had this hunk of junk since may 2021 a month later it flooded my carpet in my room. Now here I am 3 months later with at least 30 attempts to contact the company and get a refund or replacement. Apparently it says black and decker but it’s not. Some company called w appliance is the maker of this unit and when I’m connected to them it rings until it gets to a full voicemail. I honestly can’t believe amazon is selling this trash product made by a scam company. $400!??? I’ve NEVER in my life spent this much money on a product and encounter this many problems but also ZERO accountability from ANYONE who sells this product. I purchased a Black+Decker portable air conditioner (Model: BPACT14 / Serial: 86576Z2001160350243 / Catalog: BPACT14**) from Amazon on 8/17/20. It came pretty beat up with several dents and sizable crack in the window bracket, and a screw missing on the bottom, right side (I have pics). It worked for about 2 months but when I tried using it this summer, it would only run for about 30 mins before shutting off and showing the FT (Full Tank) error code, so I'd empty it and get the same error again. Per manual, it should only need draining 1x per SEASON.
I have attempted contact w/ this sham warranty company 14 times over the past 4 months and they've never once patched my call through to a human. I've left them 6 voicemails asking them to call back and they never have. MY ONE YEAR WARRANTY IS ALMOST EXPIRED (TUES 8/17/21) and I'm furious I paid $433.19 for a defective a/c with ABSOLUTELY ZERO WARRANTY SUPPORT. I am also filing official complaints with both Black+Decker and Amazon.

Took a few visits to figure out exactly what was wrong, but Robert was very understanding and patient, and was very fair with pricing. Fridge has been working great ever since. Robert is the best. We had a stovetop that was clicking whenever it got above a certain strength which was maddening. Robert came several times as it was a persistent issue and the parts were not working well. He was patient and responsive and determined to fix the problem and he wouldn't quit until he fixed it which required several visits and various ordering of replacement parts. He only charged us for the initial visit and parts which is also amazing. He also had fixed our regular oven in the past and did a fantastic job. His professionalism is unmatched! .He also did a beautiful job cleaning our stove and oven. We are very grateful and will definitely hire him again for all of our appliances. Robert is a very kind guy and chatting with him while he worked was an added bonus. Thanks so much!

Purchased a window A/C unit from Black and Decker that failed after the first 3 months. Processed a warranty claim with this company and mailed the requested materials to them more than 2 months ago. They do not return calls, wont return emails, promise manager call backs and nothing. It is clear this company is FRAUDULENT. A search on BBB reveals dozens of complaints within the last 12 months alone. The takeaway- don't buy anything from Black and Decker, they do not actually service or warranty their products.

Took 5 days to finally show up after blowing us off, should've been our first clue. kept saying they were on their way. Finally on the 5th day 440pm they call said they would b here in 20min. DID NOT show up until 912pm. If it wasn't for our building engineer being nice enough to stay we most likely would've been charged for nothing ( 90.00 fee just to come out). It took the repair man about 20min to fix our leak. We got charged $320.00. No, really!! when we called the next day we were told because we did authorize card and the leak was fixed, deal with it. WoW!! How professional. shows up after 9pm after days of blowing us off, then 20min work for a little over $300. And btw the supposed assistant to manager, because you can't talk to the manager ( how convenient ) is absolutely one of the rudest person you can talk to. So I would highly recommend one of the many other repair shops around.
