PAWS NY continues to provide some of the most valuable services to NYC pet owners. I am continually amazed at how well-run and effective this organization is, and how they manage to help so many pet parents meet and overcome the challenges they face in providing care for their pets. I salute the staff and volunteers who make these miracles happen every day!

PAWS NY is a wonderful non-profit organization that more people should know about. They primarily help low-income disabled individuals keep their pets in their homes. It's easy to sign up and find a volunteer opportunity in your neighborhood. I walk a dog once a week and it's been great getting to know the owner and the dog.

Disabled after an injury and in my later years, one of my biggest worries was whether I would be able to care for my cats. If I could no longer care for them, who would want and love them? PAWS has made such a difference in my life - my beloved cats are still part of their family with me, and I have a wonderful volunteer Mia who comes in to bring cheer to us all and care/ support for my Lola and Gomez. It has been life altering for us. Every day is literally lighter and I am not alone.

With the support of PAWS, I have recently been able to welcome a service dog into my home as well, which is making a great difference in my functioning and continued ability to live independently.

It would be hard to put into words how wonderful I think PAWS NY is, or how grateful I am. In my experience, they bring integrity, kindness, compassion and purpose in their every endeavor.

Getting to know new people and play with animals at the same time -- can't imagine a better volunteer project! I have been volunteering with PAWS NY for more than five years and genuinely look forward each week to visiting my clients and their pets. PAWS NY provides great resources to volunteers (discussion portal, animal behavior tips, ways to volunteer more) and I've always felt supported.

Paws NY is an amazing place to volunteer. You are helping clients who are ill or disabled with their pets so that they don't have to give them up to shelters. You get to meet wonderful people and their pets. I always feel great helping these people. Paws NY inspires me and I am so happy that I volunteer there.

I’ve been a PAWS NY volunteer for almost two years.Their mission is unique in that they help secure the human bond between seniors/disabled individuals and their pets by providing a variety of services that their clients are no longer capable of providing. I used to have a dog that has passed on but could not imagine what it would have been like if I had to part with him because I could no longer walk him. Dog walking and kitty litter maintenance are two examples of the services that PAWS NY provides through their pool of volunteers. I can tell you as a volunteer that PAWS NY is a very well run organization that is passionately devoted to their clients, their clients pets and to their volunteers. To my knowledge, there is no other organization like PAWS NY in NYC.

I decided to volunteer for PAWS NY after I retired. I walk dogs weekly and also occasionally will take a pet to the vet. PAWS NY is wonderful. I get to help animals and help people at the same time. The clients are so appreciative It's a win-win-win. It's easy to join up and find posts, though outer borough volunteer are especially welcome.

Every time I've told non-New-Yorkers about PAWS, they are so envious that the organization doesn't exist in every city around the world! It's such a great mission (helping older folks with mobility issues take care of their beloved animals) and couldn't be a more seamless volunteer experience. You only commit as much as you're able and it's so easy to be matched with a person/pet combo in your neighborhood. If you're looking to volunteer with pets AND people, PAWS is the answer!

We have absolutely had the best experience since my daughter has started receiving services at the Arc of Loudoun. Tayler and Tess have been so wonderful to work with. We have even switched our speech services to Arc recently & are waiting for an OT slot to open. The professionalism and knowledge that the staff here has, is so comforting and impressive. Everyone has been so friendly even if we do not work directly with them. My daughter’s confidence has improved so much. We are so thankful that our developmental pediatrician at Kennedy Krieger highly recommended Arc.

Would never return to this job. People need to know how terrible this place is before they even apply. This job was extremely stressful and they are very micromanaging. Loved working with my cubby loved my educational lead and Program director. Upper management is terrible. The worst is the supervisor of related services named " Melissa." She is the nastiest individual I have ever met in my entire work life. She talks down to instructional therapist and is very short when you speak with her. I have no idea why she has a job and how she is allowed to talk to staff that way. If it was not for the students I probably would have stuck up for myself. Moving forward I put in my two week notice and there was a summer break coming up. They were so petty that they couldn't even pay me for my break which they were supposed to. I never got in trouble at this place and did the best I could everyday. Did not feel appreciated at all and everything was work, work, and work. I did not take action because I was just happy to get away from this place. Lastly, they do not even give sick days only PTO. If you do not have PTO they wont let you take off unless your a favorite. You also will see management promise people jobs just to keep people there soo disgusting and pathetic. They only positive thing was the students, the long breaks in spring, summer, and Christmas.

* I heard they got a new principal so hopefully things can continue to improve here- April 2023*
Awful place to work. Staff is not respected and the needs of individuals can't always be meet in a timely manner. Wants to be a school but short staffing causes survival mode to get everyone through the day.
Jubilee is a very special place to work. Inclusive, diverse and the mission of supporting adult individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities live independent and empowered lives is extraordinary. Jubilee excels at engaging the greater community and with meeting supported person-centered goals and needs.
Clean facility. Friendly staff
Really awesome place nice and friendly caring staff
This has been the best company I have ever worked for. I’ve spent the last 9 years here, and each year I have more reason to stay. Jubilee loves and cares for the people they serve while making sure they do the same for their employees. I love it here!
They have been providing needed services for my elderly aunt so many years. I highly recommend to anyone who needs adult care services.
This is a great non-profit that loves to help others. I really appreciate the amazing work that they do!
What a fantastic place to work! I’ve been employed with Jubilee for the past eight years. Jubilee provides me with opportunities for growth. Jubilee is very innovative, and values employee input. I must admit I started as a Live-in Direct Support Professional and now I am now the Talent Acquisition Manager. I’m saying these things not as a Recruitment Manager but as a happy employee who believes in the mission and values of the company. Come check us out. It will be one of the best decisions you’ll ever make.
I meet with other addicts and have groups and I met with my awesome counselor Mr. Youngblood
Good place and people for the type of service they offer.. I Wont go to anyone else. Lol.

My elderly father needed home assistance and Family Home provided us with qualified candidates who not only were extremely understanding on how to provide assistance but flexible and cost efficient. This service was perfect in every way. Happy to recommend this to friends and family.

Family Home Health Care is the best. They’re a reliable and trusted company with professional and knowledgeable healthcare providers and I highly recommend this to anyone in need. They are so friendly and easy to work with. The caregivers are excellent, dependable and self motivated. The company has been very cooperative with necessary scheduling changes. Overall, all the service they provide has been wonderful. Thank you so much for everything.
Good resources for those needing assistance.
The session was very informative and they were very patient with question and plenty of agencies to help and support you while going through the process of helping your disabled child.
This place is awesome and I love how treat volunteers.
Only drove by. One day I may stop by to really check it out.
This place is great, there's free parking, wheel chair accessible, very friendly staff and services.
A fantastic group of caring advocates and professionals. Keep up the great work Arc, and it's been an honor working alongside you when needed as a psychologist in supporting families with disabilities in the DMV!

Very good.i have passion for my work and the people there are so lively and lovely.we work as a team.which gives the progress of the job.thanks
I chose it for my grandson to get the immunity experience of being with other kids
My son loves going to the program. He gets door to door service. He goes swimming, plays basketball, does crafts, watches movies, goes to the park and even goes shopping for supplies. Every day is something different, so he doesn't get bored. There is even a dance class. I kind of wish I could go myself. ☺
Awesome company to work for. The environment feels like family and everyone get's along just fine. Room for growth and the company serves great people and their families. If I did not relocate to another state I would still be there. I miss the company and if I ever move back to the area I would come back without hesitation!!

Lifestyle does a lot for special needs
Human service is the most wonderful thing a human being can give to another human being, life is all about accepting it's challenges and learning to still be able to be a productive member of society in different ways, that is what Jubilee is all about! Holding hands when you need it most.
