This is probably the most amazing public park I've ever lived near. So many fields and places to walk, a huge dog park, as well as plenty of playground equipment. There are also batting cages for you to practice in. Hands down, the best park ever!! Also pretty cool during the upcoming holidays when you can drive through and see all the amazing lights!
Haven’t explored the entire park yet it’s so big! But I saw this lovely coyote this morning!
Awesome park for kids. There's a splash pad, playground, wading pool, and picnic tables. The wading pool is large and goes up to 2 feet deep with lifeguards on duty. There are multiple benches surrounding the wading pool. Restrooms and a rinse-off station are present too.
Great Family Day at Blue Hills Reservation

We had such a fantastic time at Blue Hills Reservation with our little ones! The lake was a huge hit — it's calm and perfect for young kids to splash around in. The water was clean, and we felt really safe letting them enjoy the beach area. We set up a picnic and spent the whole afternoon just relaxing and taking in the beautiful surroundings.

And the ice cream was a real treat! After a day by the water, it was the perfect way to cool down. The kids couldn’t get enough of it. The park is super well-maintained, with easy trails that are perfect for little legs.

Overall, if you're looking for a peaceful and fun spot to spend the day with your family, I can’t recommend Blue Hills enough. We’ll definitely be back!

Great fenced in park. Baby swings, lots of climbing for little and big kids. Huge grassy area to run. A little dog, and a wooden boardwalk near water. There's also a tunnel that goes under Horatio where we saw paddle boarders come through. Bathrooms were decent. Parking lot is small. There are covered picnic tables and grills by the gazebos.
Great place for a light to moderate hike. It took a group of us a bit less than 3 hrs from start to end (it was a loop). We got to see an owl!
I absolutely love this park. The bathrooms are surprisingly clean. There is so much to do and the landscape is beautiful
This is an excellent local park. It was so generous of the Cottle family to leave this land to San Jose residents rather than to develop it into another strip, mall or condos. It is clean and well maintained. The rangers are warm and helpful. There is ample parking.
Love hiking here. Trails are well marked and several have great views. Pretty clean and well respected by hikers. The bathrooms are big and pretty clean, arguably the best I’ve ever seen at a trail site. Cute wildlife habitat too, love seeing that otter.
Big parking lot and river bank are the only good things. The playground and the splash pad are small and get quickly overcrowded, with big kids pushing little ones. No shade or cover, kids get roasted on the sun.
This was my first time visiting the park. I met friends for tennis and then som pickleball. The pickleball courts are very nice. I'll def be back again soon.
Great place for lids and families. Additional pool is also open 10 am - 6 pm
The staff were very helpful and friendly. It is a beautiful and clean facility. They greeted you saying " How can I help you tyoday?" They were a great and courteous staff! I purchased 2 Diet Coke Products and 2 snacks! The Restrooms were very clean and stocked!
Great park. We did the sedgeway tour. Really fun. We were given a 10 minute training course. We had a good tour guide and instructor (Bob?)
Awsome place with pool and water games.
Easily spend 2 hr with kids
Nice view
Nearby lake add a special touch to it
Blue Hills is one of the greatest natural gifts in the area. Hikes range from easy (perfect for little feet) to advanced skyline trails (perfect for views and to be challenged). Very dog friendly (see photo of my Frenchie). Trails are well maintained and easy to follow though I do use a map or AllTrails app. Love the place Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall. Get out and experience it in all its glory!
"The Lake Lili Park is a charming spot for a summer stroll. With its serene and pleasant paths, it's the perfect getaway for those seeking a moment of relaxation away from the city hustle. The park's tranquil atmosphere, combined with the natural beauty of the lake, offers a rejuvenating experience for visitors. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a peaceful place to enjoy nature and take a break from the busy routine."

A fantastic, flowing park that's well maintained and features abundant amenities (children's playground, clean bathrooms, enclosed dog park that's segmented for large and small dogs, walking trails, several soccer pitches, softball diamonds, tennis courts, picnic pavilions, disc golf course, etc.).
This park is huge. There is a playground, pavilions with grills, basketball, volleyball, tennis and pickleball courts as well as baseball and soccer fields.
There is also a beautiful paved walking trail around the whole park.

A state park inside the center of San Jose with well reserved farm. Very clean and comfortable BBQ panic area. A flat loop of trail to be able to walk, jog and bike. Good for dogs and kids. Fees required but many other entrances if only for trail.
Nice park with a scenic boardwalk and nature trail with fitness equipment. Great playground for kids.
I’ve been going to this park for years to walk my dogs, go biking around the neighborhood, & play Pokemon Go. But ever since I became a mom, I LOVE this park so much more! Beautiful place for photo shoots, & children of all ages can enjoy it! This park also has the best kept restrooms in a public space.
Nice well maintained Park was great to visit while we were there from Michigan.

Great time playing pickleball with locals and visitors from around the region. Everyone was very welcoming.
This is a beautiful park. So much space and such a fun playground. There are baby swings as well. The Board walk was peaceful. A great place to come with your family.
AWESOME HUGE PLAYGROUND!!! Our son had a blast here! Nice three-story high playground setup with multiple twisty tube slides and tons of ways to climb up. Lots of creative ways for kiddos of all ages to be active. Large picnic shelter too and baseball fields! Great park and playground!

Super LOOONG Playground! It just keeps going on and on! And they coulda made it even LONGER! If they woulda somehow connected it over to the last playground with the double slide! This playground is at a sports park complex with baseball diamonds. A great playground to take your kiddos to and play BALL TAG! 🤪🤪🏀👍👍

I’ve never been to this park before and it is a great experience and place to go! There is a playground with swingsets… You need to visit, the lake or canal is the best part!
Martial Cottle Park exceeded my expectations. The visitor center was a real treat filled with history and information about the Cottle family and use of the land. The park has a fun playground area with play animals to ride and logs to climb. Huge picnic areas and a few miles of paved pathways for walking and biking.
This is not a beach, but a great area to walk or run by the river, picnic, or bird watch.

Hidden gem! Maitland has the best parks. Though this one is a bit small. There's a nice boardwalk over the water and seating on a deck as well as picnic tables with grills. You can see birds and turtles. They have some nice informational plaques about the plants you can spot. A picnic bathroom (which I thought were outlawed)!! Water fountain didn't work when I was there but hopefully they're repaired.
They also have tennis courts, playground for children and exercise stands with elderly and wheelchair bound individuals options which is great. You can even cross the bridge and go to Covered Bridge Park. It's not much, but it extends your walking.
It’s hidden but it’s a nice little park! They’ve got a playground, tennis courts and more here but unfortunately only have a Porta potty. Still a great park to visit!
One of the better parks in the area! It’s pretty big and they’ve got a couple of baseball fields with another open field. They also have a playground and a few places to sit.
This is a great park! Fun playground. Came in December for a Myrtle beach trip and the bathrooms were heated and clean which was an unexpected surprise. We happened to come in town for a Christmas light show so we came back to the park the next day to see that. It was great! So many lights and Santa’s village at the end was excellent as well. A giant elf was walking around and you could see Santa. Very impressed with this community event and park experience!
Blue Hills is one of my favorite places to go hiking. The trails are simple and accessible and the views are amazing. There are plenty of trails to start at with plenty of parking as well. I highly recommend anyone to visit Blue Hills Reservation.
It’s always just a nice experience hiking here. I’ll let the pictures and videos posted by everyone speak for themselves.

I personally love it in the fall. Head over and you might spot some deer!

(Two Deer in the first video)
One of our favorite local park. Lots of parking and space for events. Great spot to enjoy some nature while keeping kids busy at the place set.

Great place for tennis or pickleball lovers. Lock your belongings in the trunk, there is a criminal element that will steal your purse out of your car and cost you plenty!!! Especially items that can't be replaced !!! That truly is the only downside.
Beautiful park. You can watch air planes on top of the hill, too!
The fields were in great shape and dry even after the tropical storm came through, which says a lot about the drainage. Plenty of batting cages to warm up. Plentiful shade throughout. Concessions choices were good too. Bathrooms throughout, so didn't have to go far. Overall, it's the best sports complex I've been to for playing ball.
Very peaceful, tranquil, humbling... I am in a mountain forest surrounded by more animals than people. Slept out here a few times; never felt any fear, sense of danger, or stress. Never once got eaten by a bear. Or a mountain lion.

Overwhelming.
If ur needing a green mountain getaway this is ur place .
This was a fun hiking area with a ton of different trails for beginners to advanced hikers. A lot of the trails are heavy with rock structures that you have to climb, so it's important to wear appropriate shoes. There are multiple free parking lots with a plethora of spots available for use. For some parts of the trails, we had to cross a main street, and even though there's a pedestrian crossing sign, barely anyone stopped.

Great park for softball/baseball tournaments. They have plenty of locations for shade as well as a nice playground. There is also a pickle ball court and a concession stand with several surrounding picnic tables.
The North Myrtle Beach Park and Sports Complex is a great venue along the intercoastal waterway. I was at my grandson’s baseball game and the fields were in awesome shape. There is also a playground and water park and dog park. The breeze coming out made it very comfortable on a hot day along with multiple shade umbrellas and canopies in the park. Great place for a tournament!!
The Rio Grande is the highest I've seen it in years. Hiking along the river bank is impossible now and where you can access the river the bank may be undercut. It is a beautiful sight to behold, our river full and flowing fast.

Such a beautiful place to relax and breathe in some pure air. Very peaceful spot.
Great peaceful wooded, natural trails. I love the wooded trails, and the fact that there’s a staffed office with restrooms. Great park if you are into “forest bathing”, or just absorbing the natural environment to quietly reflect and relieve stress.
Employees were helpful curtious and Friendly
Lots of useful information
Office was rather hard to locate at first.
Awesome trail system, especially given the proximity to Boston (you don't have to get far out of the city to get to trails). The system is quite large with so many different trail options including the Ponkapoag loop across 93. There are both very easy trails- flat, manicured gravel and very challenging- the skyline trail going over steep climbs and descents (20+% grade at points) with very rocky terrain. There aren't too many viewpoints, but there are some on the skyline trail. The best view is from Buck Hill as you can see the Boston skyline and the ocean.

Great playground and generally quiet unless there is baseball or softball tournaments happening
Beautiful park with a staffed office. Multiple playground areas, handball and tennis courts also. Restrooms have lockers as well. Lots of shaded areas and access to the local trails.

Community office also has a bulletin of posts for various events, including yoga and other things. Very nice and active community who take care of this park.

Highly recommend!

Martial Cottle Park is a wonderful open space area with walking and riding trails, and even a children's park. They have picnic area's and nice clean bathrooms. A great place for the whole family. It's a dog friendly park as well.
Went to see the holiday light display which was really nice. Not the best I've seen, but definitely nowhere near the worst. Everyone enjoyed the section that had an interactive music display which played through your car stereo. The winter village at the end was nice, especially the petting zoo and s'mores, but parking took a bit of time. Overall, a nice night.
This was the site of The Great Christmas Light Show! $20 for a truckload of happy campers! $20 got us all in to a wonderful drive-thru light show with the sounds of Christmas on our radio! Included was Santa's village with a petting zoo and great photo- ops for family pictures! Food and souvenirs were available for purchase, also. Great experience!

One of our favorite local park. Lots of parking and space for events. Great spot to enjoy some nature while keeping kids busy at the place set.
Classic park with full facilities. There are multiple ages play structures, walking paths, shaded shelters with tables and grills, a mini library for giving and taking gently used books, tennis courts, and baseball fields.

The restrooms are spacious, clean and updated. There is overflow parking across the street and benches at the playground to sit in the shade if you prefer watching your kids play.

As for me, you will find me running around the play structures with my kiddo letting my inner child play freely! 🙏😁💚

Cannot say if this is the location we visited. Cibola forest is in many parts around Albuquerque. Should really have better descriptions. First set of directions took us to the office headquarters inside of the city.
Murky and nothing to be swimming in at this time.

There is nice, fenced playground structure and a tennis court, some park benches and picnic table. I saw no restrooms. Small but pleasant.
I'm coming from middleville,so this park I must say is a must go if you have children that loves jungle Jim's ,spiderwebs, slides, and swings galore even on an inter tube made for two.And when your done have a picnic and then a hike on all their trails they have hikers and families and a place for your furry friends too in their gated dog park. I suggest this place to everyone.

Great little park for my daughter to play in, but WATCH OUT for fire ant mounds along the edge of the fence inside the playground area!
A unique public wading pool for children in the Boston area. Plenty of parking and good facilities nearby including a recently renovated playground.
Nice place for a picnic, fishing, or swimming. Not crowded when i was there in the evening. Great place to see wildlife. Easy to get to as well.

Not much here aside from a playground, basketball court and a couple of benches including a bench swing. Is nice though, very clean, had port-o-johns and did enjoy it. 4 stars only because its a very small park area compared to others we've visited nearby.

Awesome place beautiful
Big playground in the park near the Charles River. Has 2 splash fountains territories for the kids. One with the small pool is closed. There is a big free parking, restrooms, tables, benches. The playground is diverse and has a zone for small kids and older kids. We enjoyed this place.

Nice place to come and hang out. Lots of people though, so if you are looking for solitude, look elsewhere.
Beautiful park with a short boardwalk trail that ends in a neighborhood. There is an exercise trail loop, two playgrounds, tennis courts, and a civic center.
Back on Juneteenth holiday. Over capacity 200+% lol

Funnnn in hot days for the kid.

The most FREE fun water spray, pond and playground near Boston for kids. Come

Such a relaxing stress free place to unwind.
Just discovered this park. Absolutely love it. The visitors center is amazing with lots of local history. Volunteers are very friendly. If you have a 4 legged friend they can become a Bark Ranger.
The bathrooms are clean and new.
The playground is amazing. So many cool places for kids to climb and play. We love this place. And it’s very calm and relaxing. So many birds singing. Love it. 💕💕💕💕
Wonderful place for both adults and kids. Park is very large and expansive and has several parts. Start with the visitor center - lots of history and very helpful rangers. From there you can bike, hike, roller skate along park’s long paths or head to the playground. It’s quite unique with wooden animal statues that kids can ride and play with. There are a lot of succulents planted everywhere with helpful tags explaining their purpose and how to care for them. We saw people launching rocket models in the large grass area, people biking around, having picnics (many very well maintained picnic tables all over the place). The only problem is finding shade - this place is quite flat and though they have planted trees they are still pretty small.

Restrooms - plenty and clean.
Parking - $6 entrance or outside on street.
Stroller friendly - yes.

Nice park, needs more lighting at night.
A gem! Lifeguards do a great job, nice mix of shade and sun.
Great splash pad for kids that don’t want to be in the wading pool.
Bathrooms, gorgeous views of the river around it.
Amazing playground.
Lovely!
This is a wonderful little community park with jogging trails, covered pavilions, and a playground. There is beautiful scenery and a nice boardwalk leading to a neighboring community. Well worth a visit.
