Excellent value for money, and it was expertly organized, even with the security screening. Rihinnon was delightful and well prepared with the history of both the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. Despite the crowds she kept everyone together and on track. Thanks.

Grand Central Terminal is a unique and beautiful structure in the heart of NYC with an interesting history. The tour covers places of interest both inside and oitside of the buildings. A must to see. My guide is knowledgeable with a sense for detail, caring, smiling and easy to be around. The tour is highly recommended.

Thank you so much for today’s trip. We really enjoyed everything about the trip. The pace of the chat stories everything Tim and Manny were great , there was the lovely mix of information , humour , facts and general balance of the group dynamics , Tim is very knowledgeable and knew a lot more than a tour guide as he has worked in the area for years !!
Really RECOMMEND this tour , also if it rains you know it’s safe !
Thanks
Bruce was an amazing guide, very knowledgeable and relatable. Made the entire experience fun. We enjoyed it so much we ended up booking his other tours.
Bruce was very knowledgeable and passionate about the subject. We did the Revolutionary War walking tour and learned a lot! We will do another tour with him next time we’re in town!

This tour was AMAZING! If you are a history buff and love hearing facts while appreciating the current city, this is the tour for you! I now want to do a second trip to New York just to hand select certain places I visited on this tour exclusively. I feel like I know so much about the city now!

Our guide Nathan was phenomenal and knew the city and history like the back of his hand! He kept us all together and really took care of us. I am SO glad we did this tour. You can’t beat seeing all these locations and having time to stop, explore, eat lunch, and ride the ferry for this price!
Amazing tour!! Hamilton and Washington Historical walking tour was the best! Can't wait until I have taken all of Bruce's historical walking tours of NYC! Brooklyn will be next on the list!
Thank you Bruce for such a great afternoon on your tour!

I enjoyed this tour with close family, including a high school age student in our family, and we each found it to be an excellent educational primer on the movement. It inspired critical thinking about those who came together to put their lives on the line to forge the equality that some of us take for granted in the present day.

This tour seemed to be a unique and refreshing addition to the broad array of other waking tours on offer in New York.

Joe had a captivating, and engaging tour narrative that set the status quo of today’s lifestyle against the historic backdrop of institutional disenfranchisement, discrimination, and brutal police repression those who came before us experienced in the mid 20th century.

Joe conveyed a thoughtful and well-researched historic narrative as he brought us around to several places in the vicinity of Christopher Park of importance to the equality movement, and unpacked the history and the evolution of the movement up to the present day.

This tour lasted about 70 mins. I would remark that it’s suitable for families, couples, singles, students, friends, academic and professional acquaintances, and basically for anyone with an interest in social, and cultural, and political issues and their context within the history of the United States.

We take a lot of tours when we vacation and RACHEL is by far the best tour guide we have ever had! She works hard to make sure her group gets the best experience, the best views in the ferry, and the best recommendations. ALL of her facts and stories of the city are interesting and not boring lol. Rachel recommended 99 flavor taste restaurant in China town because it was my husband’s BD and he eats for free. It was AMAZING! Best tip we got from her: get your souvenirs from China town! (Same stuff but 1/3 of the price). Make sure to tip her well!
We received the Hamilton tour as a gift and it was so outstanding that yesterday we took our second Revolutionary Tour, the Best of Brooklyn. Equally amazing! Bruce is super knowledgeable and relays information (who knew there were so many hidden treasures in our historical city?) in such an engaging manner that the time flies by! Walking over the bridge while listening to the fascinating story of it's construction was a wonderful way to spend the afternoon and we are looking forward to more of his tours in the future (also absolutely keeping them in mind as gift ideas because what's better than an unforgettable experience?).

Rachel did a great tour today! We were on the Big Apple in Lights, she was very informative and took us on great routes, overall very pleased!
Our Secret Places of Central Park tour was fascinating. Bruce was a superb guide - personable, engaging and incredibly knowledgeable about the Park’s amazing history and hidden treasures. We’re looking forward to our next tour with Bruce.

We took an excellent tour of the monuments of DC at night. Deb, our tour guide, was knowledgeable, funny, and just a little bit sassy, which made for a highly enjoyable time. Dwight, our bus driver, navigated with ease and kept the tour running smoothly. This is a great way to see some of the key sights of the city without having to worry about transportation yourself. Excellent experience.
The trip was amazing and the views too
We liked and enjoyed this trip
But the employer who sold the tickets was extremely rude
She doesn't want to answer our questions and she was so nervous, My friend asked her to stop acting like that and to be more polite but she didn't try to apologize or to take care of us
We had a great day 5/8/23 with Rob! He clearly loves his city and we learned so much. Rob gave us great tips and prepared us well to explore on our own with confidence. This was a highlight of our NYC trip.
Isaac our Driver was super courteous and professional! We booked a 5 hour tour that was so informative about Manhattan! We did an Newark Airport drop-off! Highly recommended!

I really enjoyed the tour, all the stops, the info the guide gave us. But the ad talked about some features that weren't present on our tour like the led bracelets and the ear piece.
Wonderful experience with our tour guide Mr. Map! So knowledgeable with the area and the monuments!
This was my favorite tour in New York City. As someone who loves learning about history, I really appreciated how knowledgeable Bruce is, and was even more impressed by his delivery. I learned about many things I had no idea were part of the history of such an iconic landmark as Central Park. It's always great to do it alongside someone who is so passionate as Bruce and cares so much about everyone's retention of the material he delivers. Looking forward to attending a few more of his tours. 10/10

We went on guided tour Saturday 9am week before Christmas with Steve (who was amazing guide so knowledgeable and had an any accent) tour guide. Was well worth money especially for the glass top bus!! It was warm, we saw everything all in one day, and it was perfect for seeing the town in the winter with a baby. We even took our stroller for the longer stops and they had water on the bus! Would definitely recommend if you want to tour New York comfortably!

The tour is very good and relaxed one. The bus is very good alogn with our guide Mr Map and Ms Lee. The only thing that they should do is change the starting point of the tour (mentioned as White house gifts on their website) whereas the actual tour starts from McPherson Square Metrorail Station. The tour is highly recommended.

Our group of 7 from GA took the night tour with Mr. Map & Mrs.Lee!! We enjoyed this tour so much. Mr. Map was very knowledgeable about his home city! He was eccentric and made history fun! It was a good tour for adults and children. I checked something off of my bucket list while on this tour. I was able to sing in Lincoln Memorial (not very well because I've lost my voice), but at least 100 people joined in!! We sang the national anthem together 🥹! It was a beautiful moment. You should take this tour! Very punctual!
Always ask for a day pass. They don't tell you but if you do more than 1 trip it usually works out cheaper.

Issues: 1. Poor frequency of service. Every 2 hours?

2. Ticketing system is stone age and moronic. Even if you buy a pass you have to try and find a booth at your departure wharf to issue a ticket for each trip. So if you don't prebuy you can't just turn up and ride.

3. Slow. The boat waits around for 15 minutes or more at intermediate stops. They check your ticket with a QR reader as you board which is slooow.

4. No posted schedule or timetable

5. Expensive!! They have boats sitting idle costing money and earning nothing so your fares are high.

This is so bad it must be a government contract.

The service has some tourist value but it is designed to be as inconvenient and inefficient as possible so it is pretty useless aa a mode if transport. It sure ain't a taxi!

True the crew seem courteous and professional. The ride itself is fun and the boats are clean. It's just run in a way that makes it useless as a practical or convenient way to travel.
Thanks Rob & The team for a perfect tour experience in NYC. Highly recommended.
Took the ferry to Georgetown from the Wharf. Captain John is super friendly as well as the crews who provided an unforgettable journey to us! Tickets are very pricy though.

I and my bf are newbie in New York, this is a wonderful New York 101 tour. The value is extremely great for the price (6 hours tour across town with transportation and knowledgeable tour guide).

Emmanuel's driving skill is top notch, NY traffic is insane but he navigated it like a walk in the park. Steve was our tourguide, who gave amazing New Yorker vibe. He walked us through all the cool story associate with each location and building we passed by and made the city more human. Moreover, he provided all the information of things we should look into after the tour if we want to spend more time there. He also mentioned reputable place to book services, broadway, cruise, etc and give good tips to not be scammed in NY. This is all that I can ask for and definitely awesome way to get to know the city.

One note is that maybe in the communication, you should mentioned people to wear comfortable shoes because there is a lot of walking. In a lot of states, cities, we don't wall that much usually 😅. Water was provided and awesome tour paper, map provided.
The best part of this tour was our tour guide, Bruce Racond! His passion for history, his vast knowledge and his storytelling skill made the three hour tour fly by! It was a cool day and Bruce thoughtfully brought us indoors for part of the tour, kept us in the sun if possible and and gave us a mid-tour break. He worked his magic to keep us engaged and interested by very capably weaving the historical landmarks, cast of characters and important action into memorable tales of our country’s founding fathers and their exploits!! I highly recommend this tour and give Bruce a perfect score!!!
I had guide Brendon & driver Fred. I had one day to show my daughter the key landmarks around Manhattan New York City so I decided to use a tour bus. Brandon was very informative and the bus was clean and comfortable with really nice leather seats. The tour showed us all the key landmarks of the city including bringing us on the Staten Island ferry to allow us to get a closeup of the statue of liberty. The tour showed us everything I had hoped for, but it wasn’t fun - It was more like a school orientation.
Gil was an amazing tour guide. We booked the 6 hour NYC tour and I can not imagine a better way to see all that we saw in half a day. We started in Times Square, we were educated on history and architecture throughout our day. We made stops in Central Park, Rockefeller Center, Madison Square, the 911 Memorial, Ferry to Staten Island w views of The Statue of Liberty, & so much more. Worth every penny!
Scott was fantastic! Such a stress-free way to tour New York in a day. We had a range of ages from 20-72 and it worked for all of us. We appreciated the history and the background and he swung by several stops we hadn't included in the plan and adapted it on the fly. It was a fabulous personalized way to see the city. Highly recommended.
One of the best walking tours I have ever taken. Bruce Racond is incredibly knowledgeable, organized, and entertaining. He can even quote long passages from historic documents from memory. And he has real respect for American history. Highly recommended.
I would rather let the videos speak for themselves for this one. Grab a beer and chill on the outside/top/inside preferably.
Just one tip- Park you vehicle(if you have one) at a proper paid place if you dont wanna get a $100 ticket like me 🥲

Engaging and full of fascinating information. We loved this tour! Highly recommend.
Our group also stopped for a drink at The Stonewall Inn which was really special. A memory we will cherish.
Great tour. We were blessed with perfect weather. The tour guide was knowledgeable and professional. He carefully navigated history with political overtones in an inoffensive manner. The bus was comfortable. Certainly worth the price and time.

Loved this tour! I'm a LGBT history buff and still learned some new fun facts from my tour guide. Super friendly and very knowledgeable, I would definitely recommend!
They are using my phone number as their own and I’m getting calls NONSTOP from people asking me about their Central park tours. I can not find an email address to contact them directly to ask them to take it down. PLEASE DO NOT CALL THE NUMBER THAT IS LISTED
Ibrahima was knowledgeable and personable, he took us on a 3 hour walking and subway tour of Brooklyn and his love of the area shone through. He actually spent over his time with us and gave us a excellent restaurant recommendation, gong so far as to make the reservations for us at this very popular restaurant-Le Crocodile, we highly recommend his services which can apparently be customized to your taste

Joe was awesome! very enthusiastic and knowledable about LGBTQ history and New York City, good sense of humor too. Very professional, well prepared and he made it fun. Was a little cold, but he made us forget about that too. Thanks Joe!
What a wonderful tour! I took students from Bloomfield College, and we learned so much from our engaging, friendly, brilliant tour guide Joe. I thoroughly recommend this tour and I can't wait to bring more students. Thank you Joe!
Monday 01/03/22 we had a tour scheduled with Family in New York Tours. Billy was our tour guide and he was awesome. This is totally a legit company and the best tour company in NYC.If you’re anything like me you read reviews on EVERYTHING literally; and I’m telling you look no further. Billy is so informative and down to earth. We went everywhere on the list of places and he even took me places not listed. If you’re a die hard John Wick fan like me you know going to the Continental was unexplainable (hella bomb). May God continue to bless you Billy with kindness, sense of humor and your ability to show everyone the beautiful NYC. Billy you’re a jewel!!

Sincerely the Smiths
This is a must if you are in DC! It is so pretty and very peaceful way to travel along with a great view! A great way to end our week in DC. The ticketing was really easy and there is a lot of seating (highly recommended going on the top!)

Joe is an amazing tour guide, took me to an exclusive one on one tour, and was very kind and generous and knowledgeable. A must to anyone from the LGBT community and it's allies to understanding how we got to where we are and who we have to thank for it
We had another incredible experience with Family in New York this past week. Scott was fantastic to work with and Tammi was an INCREDIBLE host and guide. We did a full day walking tour of NYC and Tammi was absolutely perfect. Knowledgeable, funny, professional. Just a great experience. Can’t recommend this company enough!
Just came from a 4 day trip to NYC. I appreciated our tour guide. And would love to come again as him as the guide. IT WAS A VERY MEMORABLE EVENT

Jacob was our tour guide for the Statue of Liberty Early Access tour!! He was AMAZING!! His degree of humor mixed with knowledge REALLY enhanced our tour experience. He explained things I never learned in history class in a way a history teacher could never make me take interest in. I really hope you are lucky enough to get him!!
Lyle our guide was a nice friendly guy. Very informative and interesting. Really enjoyed our walking tour .
Smooth ride, on-time departures, courteous staff, pleasant experience. Fun way to get to and from Alexandria and the Wharf.
Very smooth ride!! A lot of options to sit- inside area, outside covered ( first floor), upper open area (second floor). It’s accessible to everyone. A great way to escape traffic, spend time on the water, and see good views! Would recommend highly.

Went on a Night Tour, our Driver and Your Guide were great.
Friendly, kind and courteous! The ear piece they provide is a great addition, allows you to take photos while listening to your guide and not have to be a few feet away to listen. Our guide Brian was ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐.
I recommend this tour and will use them again when I visit again.
This is a cool way to get around see the city from a different perspective. The ride is pretty smooth and out ferry was nearly empty so we could roam around with no issues. On board WiFi and charging ports at the seats if you’re “dying” while you’re traveling - very convenient to have the juice!

I highly recommend using this company and asking for Jacob! You will not regret it. Also i do recommend catching a morning tour if you dont like big crowds. We had ours in the morning and it was calm and amazing! Again ask for Jacob!
We took a tour with Alex as our driver and Ibrahim as our tour guide. Alex picked us up exactly on time at the cruise terminal after a 7 day cruise. There were 13 of us, we then proceeded to pick up the tour guide in downtown New York. Ibrahim with Alex navigating the unbelievable traffic gave us a wonderful overview of New York. some of our party has never been, while Some have been many times ~ this was the very best way to end our vacation.Thank you Ibrahim and Alex. My husband had never been to NYC and I had lived here 30 years ago. We took the tour of Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island and 9/11 Memorial and Observatory. "ROB" was our tour guide for the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. He really knows his stuff, very knowledgeable and funny. We had a great morning with him. This tour is not for anyone out of shape.
In the afternoon we were met by "AMANDA" for the 9/11 Memorial portion, she was very insightful, knowledgeable and the more personal stories she shared brought tears to our eyes. She really did an excellent job bridging the history of the WTC and showing the forward movement Post 9/11. She was wonderfully amusing as well. I would definitely recommend these two INCREDIBLY, TALENTED, AWESOME individuals to anyone who would like an even better understanding of these landmarks. Thank you, Thank you, THANK YOU!

We visited in late June 2017. So glad we booked the tour. Rob was a fantastic tour guide for the 9/11 memorial tour. He was very knowledgeable and engaging, a great speaker. We also took the Statue of Liberty Tour with Dan, who was equally entertaining and knowledgeable. We had three teens who were entertained and enjoyed the tour as well. Would definitely recommend Walks of New York.
Highly recommend them. Fabulous way to spend our first full day in NYC.
We took a 6 hour car tour of NYC with Scott last Saturday and had a wonderful day out seeing everything we wanted to see and more!! Scott is so knowledgeable and happy to answer any questions. He was flexible to meet our needs for breaks or how long we wanted to stop and take photos. Excellent way to see NYC and great value too!

The tours of the Liberty & Ellis Islands as well as the guided 9/11 memorial tour were both informative and moving; our tour guide Jeffery was also extremely friendly and helped make the experience memorable and enjoyable! All of the information provided helped enhance our experience, and a great deal of local and historical knowledge was given. I would definitely reccomend Walks of New York to tourists seeking an exciting tour of some of the city's most inspiring and iconic attractions, led by a tour guide who is clearly passionate about all the city has to offer.
