Food and atmosphere are good, not great but better than average. I felt like the service was just fair, like everyone there is doing you a favor instead of appreciating your business. Had to ask for mustard and duck sauce. Waitress felt she had to sweep the floor in front of our table while we were eating. Three of the 4 dishes arrived at the same time. The 4th was a good 5 minutes later because she was busy chatting with another restaurant employee. It's too bad because I'd go back if the service and attitudes of everyone there had been better.

The velvet seats at the tables were stained and nasty. Wouldn’t accept a local flavor coupon that was within the dates. We left and will never be back.

The intestines are incredibly delicious 😋, and the service is also great. However, the floor is quite slippery, so elderly individuals need to be extra cautious while walking.

Excellent table cloth throw back Chinese menu. Upgraded modern interior and efficient service. Food is 8/10 and portions are reasonable. Menu is large and has many traditional Szechuan items. The negatives are very expensive drinks ($20) and expensive entrées. Worth a visit dor a special occasion but not tour every day kinda place.

Good food, good service and good atmosphere. The bathroom is clean but its decor is not aligned with the restaurant. I took one star off because of that reason.

Ordered takeout tonight. My son arrived early to pick up the food to make sure it wouldn’t sit around. Waited about 5 minutes for food and headed home (about a 7 minute ride). All food (except the lo mein) was cool to lukewarm. And the chicken and vegetables had no flavor. We order takeout from here often and have always been pleased. So I figured I’d call to provide feedback to the manager/owner and my concerns were dismissed saying “you can’t expect it to be hot when it’s takeout.” While I don’t expect it to be piping hot, it should at least be warm. His response lacked empathy or any concern which was very disappointing. Not likely to be back.
The dish there is authentic. We ordered two lunch special. Both are very good, but the 农家小炒肉 was the highlight! The fermented soybean really lightens up the dish and adds more layers to the flavor. Service was great too. Should've ordered some more to go!

After having lunch with my family here, I have decided that henceforth it's Sichuan cuisine or nothing. All the dishes we ordered were a big hit and the customer service was on point!!! Will definitely recommend eating her. 😊

Greeted warmly upon entry, the menu is varied and guarantees for a pleasant delicious meal.

They can adjust spice levels as needed, so I ordered a milder version of the chicken dry pot, as well as an amazingly cooked scallion pancake, which it’s flakiness reminded me of a warm buttery croissant.

Bonus points, I asked for a ginger ale, and they brought out an ice cold can of Canada Dry, I’ve been getting lots of unflavourful fountain ginger ale from restaurants lately…

Loved the experience, Best Sichuan can keep their name and bragging rights.

Worst service EVER. This was my mother’s first meal after being in the hospital for two weeks. We went to celebrate her first round of physical therapy next door and remembered how great this place was when we took family members years ago before the current owners. My how things have changed. We were pushed to pay cash before we ordered and offered free ice cream or peanuts if we did. We ordered egg drop soup and asked for crackers. She brought the soup and told us they were “frying the crackers”. After half way done with our room temperature soup she brings one bowl of cold clearly NOT RECENTLY fried crackers and duck sauce. She brings my mother a can of soda with no glass of ice. We get the shrimp fried rice and have to ask for the vegetable dish. We asked for Curry sauce and she said that’s not authentic and they no longer serve it. I asked about the size of the shrimp in the rice and she had an attitude explaining how we get 6 jumbo or 8 small. There was zero friendliness just a push to eat pay and LEAVE. When my mother asked about the problem she said they were busy but we got full attention when the bill came and we were attempting to pay online.
It’s sad I read the nasty responses and zero accountability from management and even more sad because I ALWAYS tip 20% having been a server myself. Not this time. But they won’t have to worry about any of this if they don’t start acting nicer. Definitely felt race was a factor as we watched her dote and laugh with the white customers. Here’s a tip we heard the rude waitress mention she was in school for medicine. She was serving an experienced RN of 35 years. That could have been such a nice exchange. Instead of a lost customer and a bad review. You never know who you’re serving. Be nice to everyone.

Seafood sizzling platter had no sizzle, just warm and chef forgot to include shrimp. Dish was bland and small. Other dishes were just ok.
The waitress tried hard.

This place is so good! Came in today and they treated me so nicely. The food was not like your typical corner Chinese food restaurant. It was sooooo fresh and so good. The staff made me feel so welcomed. I got the fried chicken dumplings and the sesame beef as an entree . It was so delicious and so filling. Taking the rest home to my man lol. Drinks was good too btw :) 10/10. Ps: it’s also very casual.

Fast service. We had a variety of dim sum today.

There was one thing I was not happy about. We told The Waiter we are there for the first time and asked for suggestion.

She ordered way too much food. Upsold everything.

The bill was crazy at the end of course.

Coming from Tokyo and to meet my Asian food craving, I went there last night. A good Sichuan dinner spot at the heart of Manhattan. My favourite was wanton in chili oil, hot pot style and lo mien and xaio long bao were okay-ish to me. Worth giving a try!

We "found" this restaurant during our last trip to NYC and loved the Bejing Duck - it was super delicious and also served the traditional way! This time we didn´t go for a starter and focused on the duck only and it was again amazing! The meat was still super juicy while the skin was crisp - absolutely delicious! We will for sure come back next time.
Have been coming to this place for over 10 years, never left disappointed. Great food in a low key setting. Would highly recommend.

I just ordered take out here and everything tastes ok but this lo mein is SO BAD. I cannot explain how bland and watery it tastes. The beef is the same nasty yellow color as the noodles. It was a weak portion as well , that at 14 bucks :/ .
Ps also when I asked for packets of soy sauce and sweet and sour sauce was told that she did not have any. Who eats Rangoon without sweet and sour ?

The food was good, but quite underwhelming for it’s price point. Maybe it’s because we didn’t get the famous duck, but it was food you could easily find around Chinatown. All the workers were very attentive and we appreciated that. The bathroom was a bit shabby too which made the experience just not up to par.

Started with the fried pork buns very delicious, then we got the dan dan noodles very delightful peanut oil I believe great tasting noodles . Last but not least we had the hot sauce style chicken which was a hit !! Great spices pretty hot order with caution but even tho the spice was up there the flavor evened it out I definitely recommend this dish big enough for 2- 3 peoples depending on how hungry you are.

Unique nice food. Fresh hot, well served. Large portions. Try the curiously tasty chicken...and any of the special rices. I will be back to try more
I used to love this place but it’s gone up in price a lot, most places have to be fair. The quality isn’t there anymore though. The last few times I’ve ordered the egg rolls haven’t been warm or crispy and didn’t even seem to have been fried; usually they’re
fresh and hot. Also was missing an item the last time I ordered; sweet and sauce for the sweet and sour chicken.
I do really love the garlic beef

Good hotpot, great presentation. However, I expected more from the hype around this place.

The soup bases were quite bland: the tomato base wasn’t tomatoey enough, the spicy base didn’t have that sichuan numbness that they claim, and the golden chicken broth wasn’t so thick and strong.

The service and the ambience were amazing, a little down for the actual food which is what you really come for. We order quite a bit and spent $60 pp.
Everything is so flavorful and pretty affordable especially for lunch! Staff is very nice and it has a very relaxed atmosphere to it. Might be my new favorite spot in Squirrel Hill
Visited ChengDu recently for dinner and had a pleasant evening. Ordered a variety of Dim Sum to start and various dishes to share. All the dishes were nicely made, and the Dim Sum tasted fresh. The Peking Duck was pretty good and even had some to take home.

Our waitress was very nice and friendly and came to the table often to check on us. They also have a lot of space and can accommodate large groups.

If it's a concern, there's plenty of parking in the rear of the establishment. For me, that's a big plus. The restaurant is comparable to other authentic Chinese, I think. You wouldn't need to travel to Queens or China Town?

All in all, we had a great experience, and we enjoyed our meal here at ChengDu at Franklin Square, NY.

I have to say one thing, though: maybe settle down on the upselling. This can change the whole dining experience and can become one that is negative.

I would come back and try the other dishes.

Have to try this Wonton in Chili oil!
Spicy food lover must come check it out!
Madly recommended (^-<)
Fantastic experience. The triple green vegetable with chicken is awesome. The spicy chicken with flaming pan is tasty and aesthetically amazing to see. We tried the egg drop, wonton, and hot and sour soups. They were good as well. And finally the chicken egg roll was piping hot and crispy. Will definitely be back! This is definitely up there with Chinatown Inn and Sesame Inn, if you're familiar with those two spots.

We were searching for good Sichuan restaurants in Manhattan and luckily we found one of the best places!! This place is a hidden gem..!! Excellent service, very friendly staff and the food is really good. We tried the scallion pancakes, fish dry hot pot and chicken lo mein. The fish dry hot pot was especially good. A tad spicy but very tasty. An iced tea or coke is a good companion. Will definitely return..

I love hotpot, it’s one of the best things in the world. I really try to get out to at least 1 hotpot restaurant when traveling and Shoo Loong Kan is good, very good.

The restaurant is decorated with traditional wood paneling, red drapes and lanterns. It definitely transport you to another place. Each table has a built in stove with ample table space for all of your items, there’s also an additional cart pulled up to the end of table for extra space, very well thought out.

Orders are done via QR code. In one pot you can order up to 3 broths or just one broth if there’s a strong preference. There are many choices of hotpot items from meats to noodles, everyone will find something. Then there’s an option to pick your own sauces. The Mala broth is my favorite, the meats really picked up the flavor of the broth. Side note: Mala is only for cooking not drinking.

Service was wonderful. We were checked on multiple times, cooking times were provided and they even helped us with our sauces.

Must eat in Houston.

Got a private room, good furnishing but sparsely decorated. As expected of a Michelin star place food was excellent though serving nornal for a Chinese restaurant. Lots of dishes, portions a bit small compared to nearby area. Pork belly in clay pot with sour veggies was way too salty, the only dish most at the table didn't like or finish. Mapa tofu a bit overcooked. Ice cream with mochi ears was nice finish.

I like the vibe, I like the construction. Happy with my hotpot. The good quality is great and their spicy is the real spicy. I can only handle the mild spicy as a spicy lover. The only problem is they take too long to serve us the food even we got there around 2pm.

4 of us total has dinner here today to celebrate my friends birthday ( his choice of location) on top of my dish not being done right (crispy beef sesame is supposed to be crispy! Not soggy!) The waitress was rude, kept taking stuff from table we were still using, had a grumpy face (looked like she didn't like her job). I TIPPED less that she expected, she call me out in the middle of the restaurant "i did no good job?" No!!!!!!! You didn't!!!
But because her embarrassing scene to everyone else looked like I did not tip her at all, I took the check back and readjusted the amount.
This behavior was completely unacceptable I do believe it is important to tip and to tip well for good service received. Not tonight's case.
Unfortunately Mandarin you let me down today on very special day:( As of today I don't recommend Westborough Mandarin restaurant location to anyone.
And my suggestion is retrain you staff!
Service was good ..I got take out but the food was horrifically awful I felt sick afterwards aswell. Don't ever get the chicken tso. I should have went to panda express 🤮

Great ambiance, good service, and the food and experience was amazing. we ordered multiple beef, lamb, and seafood options. my favorite items were the Spicy beef slices and the crystal beef. the flavor of the the broth plus the flavor of the seasoning on the beef was just perfect.

They have a halal section on the menu and the staff is very knowledgeable about the halal options
A door to the world of Sichuan cuisine in Manhattan

As a remote lover of Sichuan cuisine,
you know all these Youtube
foodies, right?, I was eager to visit sooner or later Sichuan place. This redtaurant is called Grand Sichuan Eastern and it is located Greenwich Village part of Manhattan. This Chinese place won me over with its delicious food, attentive service, and reasonable prices.

It has simple yet tasteful decor, featuring geometric patterns on the walls and a few traditional masks and hanging fish figures. Nothing screams that this is a Chinese place, without feeling overbearing. Just hints.

The vast menu was impressive, boasting a wide variety of Sichuan dishes. Vast means there are 278 separate dishes, I kid you not!

The spiciness of each dish was conveniently marked by pepper images, making it easy to choose something to suit our preferences.

Our first dish was the pork soup dumplings, which were loaded with broth and expertly crafted. You bite one side of the dumpling and fill it with vinegar sauce - this gives a whole new dimension to the range of dumpling tastes. The juicy and flavorful dumplings were an instant hit.

Next up was the Sichuan wonton with red oil, which we ordered with a spiciness level of one pepper. Although it wasn't particularly spicy, it still had a pleasant kick to it. The dish was more like a soup, with a generous amount of broth in the soup plate.

My daughter opted for the crispy salted and pepper prawns. Although there was a slight mix-up with our order, the dish we received was delicious, featuring big, juicy prawns served with a healthy portion of vegetable salad and a bowl of rice.

The lunch for three, including sodas, came to about $60, which I found quite reasonable for the quality and quantity of food. It's worth noting that the restaurant only accepts cash or debit cards.

I highly recommend Grand Sichuan Eastern for anyone looking to explore Sichuan cuisine. Even if you're not a fan of spicy dishes, you'll find plenty of options to suit your taste buds. Don't miss out on this not so hidden gem in Manhattan!
The food is really good good. We ordered the fish in bean paste and braised pork belly. My only complaint is the service. None of the servers can understand and speak proper English. They were unable to describe or recommend any of the dishes to us. I wish they kept at least one server who could understand a little English.

This is the dry pot I’d always get and it’s been a while but guess service and stock is bad cause theirs no slices fatty beef and theirs one piece of shrimp. Sad part is this isn’t the first time something was missing from my dry pot but it tastes good so I give it chances, dude couldn’t even say sorry. Some places just lack any care and this is one

Peking duck was fatty and the crispy beef was good.

Sesame noodles were okay but I wouldn’t say they are the best in New York (which is what is advertised).

Everything here is very pricey and I wouldn’t call it authentic Chinese food.
This restaurant has 2 different menus. The american-chinese menu and the traditional menu. The fancier black traditional menu is what you want. ⚠️ be warned, much of the food is spicy, but my god is it good.

We had baby bok choy & black mushrooms, braised pork belly, and dry shredded beef. They were all absolutely delicious. 💯

I would say avoid the Boba tea. It was watery and the Boba seemed overlooked on the outside and dry in the center, sort of like canned Boba tea.

This place is a fantastic Sichuan restaurant! 🍴 Cafe China 🇨🇳 offer a fantastic selection of authentic Chinese dishes! 🍽️ Definitely try the Pork 🐖 Buns, Shumai dumplings 🥟, Kung Pao Chicken🐔 (be warned that this and most of the entrees are spicy 🥵). I didn't have much here just the Pork Lo Mein and pork soup dumplings the flavor of the broth in the soup dumplings left a little to be desired but still was very good and tender. The pork Lo Mein was Pork Lo Mein it's kind of hard to mess that up

Good place, with many tasty food options. I’ve tried pretty much everything on the menu. I must say that I recommend the stewed beef short ribs over some rice. It’s very good. It’s kind of small inside and very busy, but the service is very quick. Definitely will want to make reservations.

The restaurant ripped us off on this order by not packing the Diet Coke.
Taste wise: the fish was good, and the smoked pork was ok. The wonton soup was awfully salty that I didn’t take a single bite but just threw the entire container out.
Delivery: We paid for priority delivery service on Uber Eats, it still took longer than 30 minutes to get the food despite that we were just a block away.
Lastly, I didn’t know that every dish comes with a box of white rice so I ordered one rice. We end up having four boxes of rice for two people… so don’t order separate white rice unless you really really like white rice.

Manager lied that her card system was not working to get cash, then suddenly offered card payment option when our tip for lackluster food was not as large as she had hoped. Admittedly we went for dim sum dishes at a Sichuan restaurant, but it does advertise these as made in house. I'm fairly sure they were, but they were pretty bad, as well. Best dish was from the normal menu. All were obscenely overpriced. If having this experience in a restaurant seemingly transported from mainland China circa 2000 while listening to some very nostalgic Taiwanese pop (my favorite part) sounds good to you, go ahead. The soundtrack may also include a manager yelling at her staff. A lot.

Review is primarily for service and food for anyone who isn't me. We ordered a pretty large to-go order for Lunar New Year and I was surprised to see it waiting among boxes of other to-go orders at the appointed time. There were a ton of people inside.

Food was packaged decently. However, as noted on my warning for dietary restrictions, they simply did not care about our request for my nut allergy. Two dishes contained peanuts or walnuts. I sampled the pork rib just to try something "safe" and immediately triggered a light allergic reaction, likely due to cross contamination. I was not able to sample much else, but my friends noted that it was authentic Chinese cuisine and was pretty good.

Food: 4/5
Service: 3/5
Overall: 3.5/5

Dined in for dinner on a Tuesday. Restaurant was fairly empty and most customers were there to take-out. Good food and clean restaurant. Attentive servers. However, prices are considerably higher than competing restaurants. Parking lot in back is convenient.
Staff friendly and welcoming. Atmosphere a bit sparse but ok. Food excellent and more traditional. No deserts but there are sweet options to end a meal on if wanted. Will definitely go back.
Came here for a Christmas meal of their whole Beijing Duck, and everything was excellent across the board. Calming atmosphere and ambiance. Attentive, efficient, and professional wait staff.

Every bit of the food was incredible as well, being the best we’ve had for any of the dishes. Scallion pancakes were so savory and delicious. The whole duck more than fed our party of 3, it was carved at the table, and it was perfectly cooked. Just a piece of skin has more flavor than most restaurants do. It was made all the better by the Hoisin Sauce they provided, which went great with everything.

Overall it was a very memorable experience, completely worth the price for the high-quality you receive. It was so good we might make coming here at least a yearly tradition, if not more often.
Went here for dinner with my boyfriend, I got the downtown without soup lvl 1 spice and he got the original without soup lvl 3 (standard spice). I have a pretty low spice tolerance (i usually order mild at most places) and the lvl 1 was a perfect amount of spicy for flavor without making my tongue so numb i couldn't enjoy what i was eating, but i may try lvl 2 next time for a good kick. My boyfriend really enjoyed the standard lvl 3 but needed to buy an extra drink (we tried the jasmine tea with foam) about halfway through his meal. In his exact words "Its soooo good but my mouth is totally numb" The waitress recommended the "without soup" to really get the flavors of the dish and I'm appreciative of that recommendation cuz it was delicious!
I am by no means a ramen connoisseur. Had the Downtown. Spicy level 1 numbness Leven 1. Taste was good. Presentation nice. And like the other reviews here, I'm not entirely sure the noodle was a ramen. Whatever the noodle was, it was too hard (undercooked) for my liking. Husband had the Downtown and the noodle used there was definitely ramen. Great, fast service! Unfortunately, they had run out of a lot of important items the night we visited; no teas and no chicken.
Love this place 💕
The food is crazy spicy 🌶 🌶 🌶 which I generally don’t like, but the flavor profiles are amazing. 🤯

Very nice rice noodles! Had ordered takeout and the quality’s good too! Just rem to order the Hunan specialty dishes. Special credit to the rice, best I had in NY yet.
Unassuming from exterior we questioned entering. But the foooood, though, wow, so so great! Authentic and affordable! I would have given it a 5 stars if it wasn’t for a bit of crumbs and flakes on the table when we got there. But overall, would 100% recommend!
Visited on a Wednesday just after 5pm. Place was a ghost town, only 1 person at the bar and us. Overall it was middle of the road Chinese fare at what seemed to be premium prices. Cannot compare to other places in the area for price but it seemed a little steep even factoring in the post Covid inflation. Will try again someday to confirm but for now there are too many place I have not been to to repeat here just yet.
Not sure how this place has 4 n half star reviews. Went there with high expectations just to be disappointed.
Got spicy chicken that was ok
Lamb flaming pot was decent with fries in it that was weird part
Then order a special fried rice that was ok.
Our stomach’s wasnt happy after the experience maybe it was the oil that was used.
We saw cooks dragging big dirty trash can through the restaurant filled with ppl.
To end with the server gave us the copy circled around the tips sections which I felt wasnt needed.
Shout out to instagram! That's where I saw reels of this place. I had to go! I drove an hour, and it was definitely worth the drive. Customer service was great and the food was amazing. The pork bun is a 10/10. Definitely will go again

I hardly give a restaurant 5 stars and this almost made if it was not for that spicy chicken which was fried and tossed with sichuan pepper. I was expecting it more to be smothered in sauce but it was ok.
The hero of the dishes was pork chili fried rice which was amazing and the best one I had till date.
Then there was Sichuan lamb hot pot which was amazing as well.

Stop scrolling through the reviews and just try the restaurant. The food is absolutely amazing! The meat is well cooked and well seasoned, they don’t play around with the spices. The service can be slow understandably because the restaurant is always packed. If you’re gonna be super hungry, I would recommend heading to the restaurant 30-40 mins earlier given the wait time. The food is reasonably priced and worth every dime.

Really friendly, quick, and great local Szechuan spot.

While not on Szechuan row, this place makes several dishes really well and even makes it extra mala for me when I ask.

I order here usually at least once, sometimes twice a week. I really like:
-ChongQing Spicy Chicken
-Parched Chicken with Three Pepper
-Gui Zhou spicy Chicken
-Spicy Whole Green Pepper

I am less of a fan of their cucumber salad and their mapo tofu, but plenty of other dishes to keep me happy.

If you like spice, I recommend you skip the American Chinese Food and try something off the special dishes menu, which is primarily Sichuan style food.
ANOTHER FOODIE’S GEM. A cozy restaurant with pleasant ambiance. TRULY AUTHENTIC TOP 3 (REGIONAL) CHINESE in Pittsburgh, looks very popular with Chinese emigres/visitors and Chinese Americans. It looks busy at both lunch and supper.

It’s truly a dining experience. It has a longish menu that one can enjoy over several visits, as I (and few colleagues) have done. None of that horrible greasy salty sugared Americanized Chinese-like food that is so common. Savor the true Szechuan cuisine: silken sauces, spices and different peppers, tender juicy meats, fresh vegetables, various rich textures.

Recommendations as of August 2022: Bokchoy & black mushrooms, Sichuan eggplant, Spicy Lamb in a pot (silk sauce with vegs & lotus roots), Kung Pao Chicken (crunchy with kick), King Mushrooms with basil (“meaty” vegetarian in a well balanced light sauce), Cumin Lamb (it literally wakes up the palate, uniquely dry sautéed that goes with any sauced veggie entree), my favorite so far: Crispy Pork Shoulder, amazingly tender meat with skin falling off the bone and a rich sauced mixed veggie) — And yes don’t forget the hot black, which freshens the palate between bites from different dishes.

Large servings, best shared between 2-3 people, OR take home for another meal.

Very highly recommended!😎

Hands down the BEST Sichuan restaurant I have EVER been to!

Dine in or takeout, you can't go wrong.

Must haves, Sichuan pepper corn chicken, water spinach and bamboo shoots in chili oil.

Atmosphere is clean and relaxed. Staff is very attentive and they remember you! Being remembered is awesome and shows that they care about their customers.

Food turnaround time is very quick! Drinks are also very good. Both alcoholic and non-alcoholic.

Bathrooms are clean and there's plenty of parking in the back.

If you're looking for last minute dinner plans, if you're looking for a new usual spot to goto for dinner dates, this is the spot.

This my new local favorite. Don't pass this place up.
A different take on Japanese ramen, I think, since it may not be ramen at all. They have ramen on the menu, but the main attractions seem to the the spicy versions with or without soup.

Based on recommendations from my kids, who recommended this place, I tried the Downtown version that is more vinegar based than Tokyo that has more peanut butter creaminess to it. You also get to choose spicy and numbness levels.

I went with 4/4 on the spice and numb levels, and could have taken up to a 5/5 or 6/4 as the numbness has never been my thing.

I enjoyed my meal and happy i tried it, but not blown away and ready to line up for more. Maybe I need to fine tune my spice and numbness levels some more and/or try some of the other dishes. We also tried the fried chicken, which maybe the secret menu item. Problem was, they didn’t have two of the sauces I really wanted to try (Korean and spicy). I did ask and got some chili oil which helped kick up the basic sauce they have and describe as like “Chick fi La” sauce.

Service was friendly, so have to give some credit for that, otherwise might be a 3 star review.

Anyway, happy I tried it and will update my review of opinion changes.
We got general tso’s chicken, Spicy chicken and Chinese broccoli, noodle soup, and dumplings. The food was very good. It was made to order, came out very hot, tasting very fresh. There was no wait and the staff was friendly.

Dan Dan Noodles - 7/10
These noodles had great flavor and a nice chewy texture but it wasn’t spicyy. I’m glad they have non spicy options for those who can’t handle the heat, but I think the spice was really needed to pull the dish together.

Spicy Fish Fillet Box - 9/10
I wasn’t super hungry when I ate here and the food was still delicious! The coating was flaky and crispy while the fish was soft. It definitely gave me the kick I was craving and they did not skimp out on the portion. The chinese cucumber were okay, and the dumpling I could have done without.

Came here looking for an authentic Sichuan dining experience and certainly wasn’t let down. Ambience was great but since we were moved up to their upper floor it did seem a bit crowded at times. Apart from that, however, the food was delicious, perfectly spicy and flavorful. Hugely recommend the fish and three pepper chicken.
Had the pork ramen...what an artful bowl of soup...almost too pretty to eat. Very cool porcelain bowl...tallest bowl I've ever met. The milk tea was refreshing and as balanced as the broth in the ramen. Noodles were chewy good too. Just a gorgeous and delicious bowl o ramen. Highly recommend.
Delicious food all the time! The Mermaid Shrimp is to die for!
I had Tokyo style without soup today.
I really love it. I had 3 spiciness and 2 numbness. I eat spicy food, and I feel like I could handle higher spicy level.
But my friend who doesn’t eat spicy would pick 2 or 1 spiciness.
Without soup one would come with a bowl of rice.
After finishing the noodles, we gotta add rice in creamy sauce :)
Tasty~
Fried chick was very good too!
Brilliant service and cuisine on Christmas Day 2021. We ordered the orange beef and Sautéed Pea Shoots with hot green tea of course. Everything was delightful and I was very happy to stop and enjoy their restaurant. Definitely will head back soon.

Ordered after a long day exploring the city and I was very impressed! The food was ready in 10 min and it was all very delicious. We had spring rolls which were crispy and tasted very good. We also had the chicken fried rice which was top notch. Lastly we orders the Black mushroom Chicken and it was PHENOMENAL!! I’ve never tasted anything like it! I would travel back to the city just to have it. Amazing!!

I just ordered their version of "La zi ji" the fried chicken pieces with spicy chilies and I kid you not, half of it was just the dried chilies and peanuts (which you can see, I fished out). It wasn't even spicy at all and I love spicy. Had I known they put peanuts in it, I wouldn't have gotten it. Was better off ordering it in Queens where my friend orders his. Absolute disappointment.
Small eatery specialized in noodles. Pleasant and clean environment, quick service. Food is delicious, with generous portions and well seasoned.

Update: still good.

2nd visit in Dec 2021:

Recommendation:
1. 蟹粉豆腐
2. 小炒肉

Not recommended: 番茄肥牛

They provide rich choices for 米粉. I tried the one with 酸豆角. The noodle is kind of too soft. Not sure if it is authentic as I am not from the province of xiang. Personally I like the taste since I love spicy.

Most dishes are tasty for me so it is more like 4.5 stars rounds to 5.

1st visit:
I enjoy the food but it could be better.

Hungry on my way home after a full day of walking through the streets of New York, I stumbled over this place. It was packed with people, but I did not have to wait Long. The Staff was very friendly and the food excellent. The vegetables were crispy and perfectly cooked, the sauce delicious and tasty. I hope I'll find this place again.

With so many Sichuan restaurants in the city, this one just doesn’t make the list of places at which you should eat. The food isn’t bad, per se, but it’s not exciting. We got a variety of dishes, and all of them tasted similarly mediocre. For instance, the duck was so mild it was nearly chicken. There were hints of Sichuan spices, but for the large part, everything was basically soy sauced. After a few bites, eating became simply a task to stave off hunger, not an activity I could really enjoy.
The pork soup dumplings here are delicious and my favorite dish to order. But many dishes here are good. Fried rice is pretty good, lo mein is pretty good (though not my favorite). Really loved the Gui Zhou spicy chicken. Beef with green peppers is very tasty. The king pao chicken was also good.

The soup dumplings are smaller and not as good when you deliver, but that's a necessity because the real ones wouldn't stay in tact on the trip. They're still good delivered but I highly recommend dining in to have them.

Wow! We were impressed by this place. Big plates of tasty food (if you like chinese cuisine of course), excellent service, authentic atmosphere and affordable prices - what else to ask from a good restaurant. Highly recommend!

Average prices, good mixed drinks (pineapple passion is my go to here) surprisingly good sushi for this area outside Boston. Music selection is sort of elevator meets soft big band... A little rough but not hard to ignore. Always clean. Staff is always friendly and just the right amount of checking in.

Good local spot. The food is ok and the service is fair.
Handicapped accessible entrance and seating.
Unisex restrooms are available.
Conveniently located in the Chelsea district and easily accessible by train, bus or walking. Street parking is available.
Oh, by the way, my friend got food poisoning after eating here with me.....

Some of the dishes here are pretty authentic. The cold noodles and cumin lamb were very tasty, but the rest were kind of downhill. The scallion pancake was too soggy and the spicy diced chicken was mostly breading. It was also pretty pricey for Chinese food but probably due to the location.
The food is quite good, authentic western Sichuan style. Prices and portion of food are fair. Clean dinning environment , nice setting, friendly staff and quite atmosphere also enhance the overall dinning experience. Will be back again.
