The Bravern Apartments
Reviews

Some of the houses are good with ample lighting, but some of them are too dark without ventilation. They need a light to use the hall and kitchen in the daytime. Prices are reasonable compared to the communities close by. It has a play area and a lake, which is scenic and peaceful. One should be careful about ventilation before signing the lease here

My name is Jessica and I have been working with this property going on a year as their first point of contact with Package Concierge. The management team here is absolutely amazing! Julia, their property manager has always been so pleasant to work with! Their leasing department is also super helpful and great to work with! Alan is always so professional and polite!

I absolutely love the Bravern! Recently, after spending two years in a 1BR I decided to upgrade to a 2BR on a higher floor. My views are magical! No obstruction whatsoever! The leasing team (Dylan and Evan) and the concierge folks assisted me with the transition, that went beyond smooth. Small maintenance requests were done by Gio and Mariano promptly and skillfully. Both are just so pleasant, and not to mention professional. Signed another 15 months lease, don’t plan to leave this place. The leasing manager, Julia, is a class act and addressed any questions and requests I had without hesitation through my move from South to North tower. This place is the crème de la crème of Bellevue. I love the finishes! Everything is high quality! If you want security, luxury, convenience and high end amenities, this is the place for you. Could not be happier! 5 stars all the way!

Beautiful building

Chris in the leasing office is amazing! He worked hard to keep us within our budget and still found us a beautiful place that meets all of our needs. He has been more than accommodating with our many requests and is always prompt in his replies. We are so excited to call the The Bravern our future home. Thank you, Chris, for all you have done and continue to do for us!

Been a resident at the Bravern for few years now, and we have always loved our stay, but the reason behind our review today was our conversation and interaction with Ryan, the new assistant manager at the property. He took care of our needs and our new renewal which is coming up.
He made us feel really valued and understood our needs and concerns during these tough times. Thanks Ryan for helping us out and putting that personal touch that is missed so much these days. We look forward to seeing you around more often!

My partner and I received our keys today, and we are both so happy to call this place our home. We are extremely impressed by the professionalism and dedication of the staff, from the maintenance crew, who have kept the building in spectacular shape, to the team in the leasing office, who made us excited to live here in the first place.
We have to thank Chris in particular for making a great first impression when we came to tour (twice!) and for guiding us throughout this entire process. He kept us informed but not overwhelmed, he was prompt but never put pressure on us, and he was able to handle a complication in our application without any delay. We feel grateful to have been in Chris' care.

We were passing this place with our dog, our little puppy was sniffing at the edge of the building wall, not even close to their door. The doorman came out and yelled and screamed at us and called us “motherfucker”. Because our dog is 6 feet away from their door. This is the rudest encounter I’ve ever had. This man should be ashamed of being in New York.

Rats in the lobby!

The management quoted higher price than market price for lease renewal. And the Equity customer service is so rude and arrogant when I call in for lease renewal and discuss about the rent price. I called in several time and same woman pick up the phone, with same respond, same badly attitude. And she told me I have no other options and must accept their higher renewal rent.
I talked to a couple other folks in the community and all are in the same boat. It seemed like the management wanted to push out a certain race out of their community. Maybe she think nobody will speak it out about her badly attitude to residents.
I don't recommend this apartment to these people if you have a long-term stay plan.
While, the leasing office staff are very friendly and easy to communicate.

Do not live here if you can help it.
Horrible paint quality used for interior. Its tacky and sticky and tears easily.
The bathrooms have awful ventilation and are prone to mold.
The kitchens have insufficient stove top fans that don't actually vent out of the building. If you like to cook definitely worth avoiding.
The property upper management raises prices enormously and regularly. They have a constant influx of Microsoft folks so they don't mind turnover.
Upper management will also stiff you on repairs and maintenance with issues taking multiple times to resolve. The maintenance staff is friendly and great but management won't spend money replacing appliances that are clearly on their way out. That'll leave you with a poorly working dishwasher or fridge for weeks.

Great location is easy to get on the freeway and close to everywhere. Luxury retails bring safe shopping environment. Bravern is built by quality. We really enjoy the best views of the city. Unit is very spacious with the high ceiling, and wide corridor is easy for moving in. They have great leasing team help us to find right unit fit for us, great concierge provide daily needs, great maintenance team respond and fix immediately, great management make sure everything work well. Friendly community let us feel it's more than the apartments itself. They are the best of the best.

This is a very nice apartment in Bellevue staff provide high quality services, like Alan, Mariano…when we move in, Alan gave us a lot of help. When we found somewhere need fixing Mariano always let us very satisfied. Thanks for your help.

I stayed here for 5 years and it was truly home away from home. I had pond just in-front of my apartment and would regularly go for walks and feed the ducks. Any maintenance issue was promptly addressed and the leasing staff was always ready to help.

Me and my daughter have been living in south building for about five months, until now we love here and really enjoy the view, each morning we see different way how the sun jumps out of the mountains, experiences how nature makes different color palette into the sky, even at the coldest winter and Seattle’s typical rainy days me and my daughter love to sit near the window, my daughter says this is feels like living in a fairy tale.
Living here very convenient get onto the high way, made our morning traffic better and save times than before.
We like the property manager Kim who gives us a lot of help, she knew I have little one so helped me found a parking spot near the elevator, and all the concierge team Susan, Alan, Thea, each time when we need some help, they’ve been very helpful friendly and very knowledgeable.
Once our garbage disposal was stop working, I went to the website and wrote a ticket for the maintenance request, on the next morning they came to my unit and quickly fixed it. Me and my daughter experienced several apartments, Venn at Main, Flat at Main, Alley 111 and Astoria at Main during these years since we moved from California six years ago.
I would say Bravern apartments is the top of them, we probably will stay there for another year.

It’s been over a year and still no mail boxes. They just keep shifting the blame saying they’re waiting on USPS. This could have all been avoided if upper management had done their job and worked it out with USPS and gotten everything squared away first—but instead they decided everyone’s time and stress doesn’t matter and mass uninstalled the community’s mail boxes with no plan and told us to just deal with it and go get our mail ourselves. At least they finally installed some now, but it’s looking like another year until USPS shows up and approves them for use.

i find a lot of issues here for a luxury building so far (living here for a couple of months now). You don't feel treated as properly either i feel if you bring up an issue. There is a lounge but the guest policy is so restrictive there's no point - there's a pool table but who are you going to play it with if you can't bring your friends? (there's a charge for bringing in guests). The upside is that some of the staff here is sweet (and maybe wants to make it easier for you here?)

We used to love it here until management removed the apartment mail boxes. A few people had their mail stolen, but management could have added a few security cameras to deter theft and then replaced the mailboxes when the new ones arrive. Instead, they removed everyone’s mail boxes and never replaced them. There’s just empty cavities in all the walls where the mailboxes used to be. No mail box = no mail to steal?
We now have to pick up our mail from the local USPS. There is the weekly inconvenience of driving there and waiting in line for your mail, but the post office employees at this location are consistently rude and disorganized, often losing and misplacing mail and packages and not being willing to help track down where the missing items might be.
It might be understandable if it was a few weeks of this and then the new mailboxes were installed. Systems need to be updated including mail. But it’s been over several months now and there’s still no sign of the new mail boxes, no progress being made, and no updates being sent out on an eta. It’s like management just forgot and moved on, leaving us in perpetual uncertainty and mail retrieval.
It is unfortunate, but I can’t recommend it here. Projects just get left undone. If you are used to having a mailbox and receiving your mail in it, save yourself the trouble, and find a place that values your time and effort enough to follow through with completing a project as important as updating your mail.

today which is October 12 evening I went to for delivery and unfortunately coustmer forgot apt number but address fine, and doorman said he don't know the name so I tried to contact coustmer 2 times don't pickup I tried to leave a massage also but not respond so I contact company support and I was told that after I wait 8 minutes to leave it in the lobby, but one of doorman was very rude and unprofessional, doesn't even treat me like professionally or friendly, when I tried to leave it on the table and take a picture, and picture is not for me its for resident and he knows where is his food at, that's how the apps work, but he told me no, and he said if you gonna take a picture leave it the floor, I don't understand what he was thinking and why he don't want me to take a picture? Because in my experience some time family members of resident order the food, maybe that's why he couldn't find the name, it could be his/her mom or close family, but maybe they forgot apt number, as long as 45 wall why he don't want to keep it there or atlest he can explain friendly, anyways after he wast my time I have to end the delivery and leave but if the costumer leave in the building and waiting for his food feel sorry for him/her, I have tried everything,

Best experience from start to finish with the leasing team! (Renee, Earney, Sal, Stephen, and Felipe) They made sure to follow up and take care me through the whole process. I lived in the one bedroom layout for over a year. A friend recommended this place to me and she was right that they were amazing and the community is very laid back. Had some maintenance issues with a few things along the way but Aventine was always on top of it and I loved the maintenance guys! So trust worthy and respectful whether you are home or not. If I ever move back to the desert, this is definitely somewhere I'd live again. I wish I could give more stars! Thank you for everything!

Staff have been incredibly friendly the entire time we've lived here, the grounds are gorgeous and well maintained, and any issues we've had have been corrected within (AT MOST) 3 days. The only issues we've been having are that there can be construction being done a lot which can cause so much noise really early in the morning which makes working from home a bit difficult but the positive thing is that it means they're keeping everything fresh and maintained. Living here during the Spring is amazing because they have so many beautiful trees and flowers planted everywhere!

Booked an appointment online two weeks prior to tour, no further contact. 20 mins before the tour, got a call from Matthew stating sorry, no available room to view and can only send pictures. I asked why was I not contacted this whole time until 20 mins before, and he just hangs up. All the comments regarding the unprofessionalism of this leasing office were correct.

Top floors are too hot in the summer.

Very nice 👍👌😩

Definitely not as luxury as it is marketed to be. We have had constant issues with the AC and building management has refused to replace the broken units.
Would not recommend.
Would not recommend.

Scheduled an guided tour with confirmation and even a text reminder. But when we arrived, the lady at the office, which looked so sleepy, simply told us to go online and look at the units on our own. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? We toured several places and this is the most unprofessional leasing office I’ve ever seen!

Would not recommend buying here. Sales team is great but condition of unit is terrible. New floors look 5 years old with hundreds of scratches throughout. Dryer is some ventless efficiency failure that doesn’t work meaning you have to buy your own. Unit was not cleaned upon move in, leftover drinks from workers, sticky gunk / caulk / paint spots on floors every square foot of the unit including bathroom and shower glass. Would expect this from something 1/4th the price

Wholesome food, large portions for "specials', polite and efficient staff.

Great location. Great doormen and building stuff.

The building is nice but the location sucks and living across from a halfway house presents issues (loud music almost every day and night, ambulances and cop cars regularly, and i've even had to make complaints to the police).
It's also worth noting the building has very few amenities and charges a fee. You cannot bring friends into any of the amenity areas which makes them pretty useless. The roof is beautiful though.

I am in the process of transferring my job to Washington and decided Bellevue was an area I wanted to live in. I’ve toured many communities and happened to walk in to Aventine Apartments. The community was definitely what I was looking for. The apartments were so spacious and have such a warm and cozy feeling! Even included a full size washer/dryer. Moving can be so nerve wrecking but Matthew took his time to really share all the great qualities of the community and the area. I will definitely be doing my application because of him!

Do not live here if you have other choices. Messy management, high charge, reserved elevator but didn’t work at all. They don’t care about about you. The elevator can be out of work anytime.

Such a beautiful building

Great location by K-town. The entrance is flanked by two nice restaurants and ample space. The units feel clean and new. Never had a bug problem. Minimal noise issues. There's no in-unit laundry for the smaller units but my studio's layout is perfect otherwise with closets in the right places. Doormen let me know when I walk in if I have packages to pick up. Maintenance requests were dealt with day-of (and rarely needed). Very nice experience overall.

King County is building a homeless hotel right across the street of Vue22. This brings some safety concerns for future residents. I'm a current resident and I may leave after my lease ends because of this.

Staff is great! But the building is not. We had rats coming in through the toilets, and constant smoke coming through the vents - both pot and cigarettes. Bathroom vents are supposed to draw air out, not in.

I have lived here for 2 years now and cannot speak highly enough of the building and the staff. The facilities are excellent and the rooftop is one of the best in Manhattan. The apartments themselves are very professionally designed and all utilities work very well. In case of the rare maintenance issue, the staff are very prompt in fixing it. There’s a 24 hour Duane Reade right opposite and 3 train stations within 2 minutes walking distance. The best part about the building is the concierge staff who are friendly, professional and hard working.

Madison House New York city

I've been a long resident from Aventine Apartments and I have to say I was very happy with my experience. You don't get amenities nor a fancy apartment, but I guess is expected since I got a good deal on rent when I moved back a couple of years ago. However. Everything went down under the new management. In the past months I have had more issues than the whole 2 years I've been here before new management took over. Unresponsive management is has been a paint to deal with. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere

I’ve lived here for one month. I’m very happy with it so far! The location is close to a lot of shopping and restaurants. The building is very nice and up-to-date. It’s always felt safe. I haven’t had a lot of interactions with the management so far (haven’t needed to), but they’ve been great in the few interactions we’ve had.
Update: it’s been about 1.5 years. I still don’t have any significant complaints. I have never had to talk to maintenance (nothing has broken), so not sure how good they are. The dumpster has been overflowing on a few occasions, but it’s not common. Be aware, you WILL need AC, at least if you are in a south-facing unit. It gets to >90°F inside my unit in the summer if I don’t run AC. Opening the window doesn’t really help much. Not sure why they didn’t build in AC when the building was constructed. But a portable AC keeps it nice and cool so it’s not a big enough deal to knock a star off my review.

There was a management team change earlier this year but I am glad the current one is just as good as the last one. There is no amenity like others said (no garbage chute as well), sound isolation is pretty good, appliances show their ages but they are well functional and clean. Overall a pretty good experience and probably one of the best apartments in Bellevue downtown in terms of what you are getting vs what you are paying.

Horrible management company!
They don’t care about the long standing, on time paying tenants, during this pandemic.
They are offering new tenants into the building a several thousand dollar concession to rent an apartment, but not giving any concession to the current tenants.
Also, there is the exact same apartment in the building leasing for almost $500 less and they refused to do anything to help the current tenants. They don’t care about people’s job losses, salary cuts, etc.
Greedy, awful management!

I had been a tenant of The Moscow Hotel Apartments and called it my home for 6 years from the summer of 2013 and ending in June 2019. The new owners raised my rent 9% (from $685/month to $750) and gave me only a month and a half notice of a new rent increase, whereas the previous owners would have that information available 3 months ahead of time and often sent letters well in advanced about rent information and what to plan for.
Waiting this long to let tenants know about a major increase in rent was clearly intentional; if they were trying to make sure there wouldn't be a mass exodus of the building, they sure succeeded.
I was also told that in future lease renewals my rent would go up $50 a month every year until it reached $900 a month (that's excessive for 675sqft in Moscow, Idaho).
Other states and cities view these kinds of increases as not only immoral, but illegal. Unfortunately, Idaho does not have these kinds of protections and tenants must rely on property managers to "do the right thing," which has failed in this case.
I was told that $30 of the increase I and all other tenants received was for Internet, which would now be included in rent; however, this Internet "plan" is a shared wireless connection (internet traffic from your neighbors is visible, it's the equivalent of public wifi and NOT private... heck, even my phone was showing my neighbors device names and what they were streaming.) No shared wireless connection is worth that price.
The Hotel was uncooperative when I asked for an extension on my lease to find a new apartment after I was informed about their increase, forcing my to fail to vacate. I inquired about an extension before my apartment was shown to any prospective new tenants.
The new owners have also ended a variety of amenities that used to be present at the Hotel including an office manager who would sign for packages and store them securely and promptly answer all rental related questions, indoor trash closets, and indoor recycling. Maintenance of common areas has deteriorated, hallway and exterior lights are often out for weeks before they are replaced, snow shoveling has become subpar (with only a small path cleared, and not shoveled until late morning only once a day), and exterior litter and vomit sit for weeks without being addressed. The Moscow Hotel is offering less and less, and asking for more and more money.
I had enjoyed my time in this building and being in the heart of downtown for many years. Sadly, this place has lost its value.

Called to see if there were any opening never replied to my message

I lived in 45 Wall Street for over 6 years. Prior to that, had lived in quite a few neighborhoods, moving almost every year. I finally felt like I had found a place that I loved so much, that I never considered leaving.
Fast forward to me moving urgently for a job on the west coast last month- I've had the most horrendous experience exiting the building. It's completely ruined my entire living experience with the building. A building I referred numerous tenants to, even friends who wanted to take over my apartment.
I relinquished the apartment to them over 3 weeks early, while I continued to pay rent through the end of my lease. Which I expected to do, no problems there. Lucky them, they got the opporunity make double rent. After living there 6 years, I had painted some walls, and had every intention of handling it from afar due to my quick move. Instead that wasn't an option, they did it as soon as I was essentially on my flight, and they charged me over $1,000. For literally 2 painted walls. I was told I was "too late"even though I was PAYING RENT STILL. An email even went to Barbara, the property manager, asking for the paint colors I needed to buy, which clearly proves my intention of handling.
The service elevator is always a disaster with garbage removal and was a disaster trying to utilize for my movers. Zero flexibility. Because they were using it AGAIN during my move, I was unable to trash some unwanted furniture on my move out day. Hundreds of dollars more off my security deposit to move a completely disassembled unwanted bed frame to the trash downstairs. No flexibility on that charge either. I was told I should have abandoned it in the hallway to personally avoid charges to my apartment.
After 6 years and keeping my apartment in perfect condition (which they should be renovating now regardless, painting, etc after that length of time) they essentially stole my entire security deposit over nothing and had zero flexibility to my situation or valued my long tenancy.
BEWARE. New Yorker's spend way too much money on security deposits. You will not get it back here.

Incredibly rude and useless building guard

Bellevue Meadows is a very beautiful society to live in. The campus is very clean and peaceful.
Sylvia and Karen both are very helpful. They are very prompt in solving your queries which made my move to Bellevue Meadows very smooth. Have not faced any issues so far. Very happy with my decision of moving here with my family.

Pretty nice apartment, I lived here for a few months 4years ago. I like it

The building is amazing

I did not visit in person, but they were very helpful over the phone.

AVOID RENTING HERE! After living in this apartment complex for 2.5 years, the new office manager, Samantha Ricketts, offered me a pro-rated rent amount for the month if I moved out 10 days prior to the end of my lease when I mentioned I decided not to renew. She coerced me into signing a form of my notice to vacate and wrote down the days I would be moving out and also when I would like to receive the check by since I was moving out of town. She calculated the amount I would be owed as a refund from the rent I had already paid, which worked out to be $164.51. She said I would receive that amount with my deposit refund. After contacting them 3 days before I left town, she emailed me back and said that the deposit check would not be ready for me to pick up before I left and asked if she could mail it to a different address. I provided my out-of-state forwarding address for them to mail it to. According to my lease, all monies owed to my person by this apartment were to be mailed out no later than 45 days after I handed in my keys. My check was not mailed out until 53 days after I handed in my keys, and was mailed to the wrong address. This was 6 weeks after I provided them the updated address at *their* request. I even sent a reminder email 4 weeks after I provided the address to make sure they still had the updated information, to which I received no response. When I contacted the office to have the check mailed to the correct address as agreed upon by both parties 6 weeks prior, they sent me a check with a $35 charge for having to cancel the first check they mailed out to the wrong address. They also failed to include the pro-rated amount their office manager said they would include, and when questioned she denied that she ever made this offer. With the $35 charge and the $164.51 refund amount, they have stolen $199.51 from me. The coercive maneuvers used by this business and inability to recognize the mistakes made internally by their staff at the renter's expense is unethical, shady and downright fraudulent.
All of this is on top of the fact that the manager is often absent from the office during business hours and sometimes takes weeks to respond to important emails, if she even responds at all. Since the office holds your packages hostage, it can sometimes be weeks before you can actually get in there to grab your mail since you never know when they'll be there. The ONLY good thing about this complex is the very sweet maintenance guy, Mike, and the previous office manager, Erin. Those two are/were always on top of things. The current management is not. Plenty of better housing options in Moscow.
Decent rental building. Apartments for large groups of people…

The location leaves a lot to desire, but the building and facilities are great. And you get a slightly better place due to the location.

Luxury living. I wish i lived here, really. It's so polished, so crisp. from the moment you enter the lobby you know it's one of THOSE apartments in which attention to detail, cleanliness, and amenities are paramount. And of course living high off the hog doesn't come cheap.
But this place has it all, floor to ceiling windows, amazing appliances, beautifully designed bathrooms and kitchen spaces. and Location. Near the Path, LiRR MTA, MSG, K-Town, herald Sq... sigh. Single Studios start in the mid-$2K range so you or your parents need to be doing pretty well for yourself. I'm still impressed everytime I visit an apartment in this amazing building. It's on my wishlist...

This building has the hardest thing to find when apartment hunting: great management. The building owners are very friendly and kind and the building manager and the maintenance man are fantastic. Erin, the manager, is very helpful and friendly and is always willing to work with you to take care of any needs whether it may be dealing with move in dates or holding packages or whatever. Mike oversees maintenance and he is awesome. Always fixes things promptly and well and is super friendly and courteous. I am in my second year in the building and love it. It's been my best apartment living situation ever. Also, it's the best location in town.
