Poor experience with the court and legal system. After following the rules and regulations from the police officer who pulled me for a lapsed unregistered vehicle because the DMV did not do their due diligence to send a reminder. I went to court to appeal and was made to pay a higher fine than the original ticket. I agree the town, the judge, and law enforcement officers are targeting individuals to only increase profits for themselves. The system is overly corrupt.

They like taking people's land. Will be reporting everything to FBI

APPEAL their decisions with a higher court. Challenge there OATHS of Office, all court orders legally suppose to be Stamped, Sealed , and wet inked signed. MOST of their judges has no jurisdiction to reside over your case in this court. LASTLY, you can sue currupt elected officials in federal court. RESEARCH SURETY BONDS. My name is Constance Washington. I am a single mother of 10. I'm also a clerk of the court for over 25 years in Supreme Criminal Court in NY. I recently purcahed land in Edenton NC. I personally was a victim of modern day land grabbing by a company called DOWN EAST HOMES here in NC. I'm also a victim of RICO by this court and County. The Deputy Chief Clerk Wendy Turner place me in default judgment despite the fact I filed an answer that she stamped with a 26 page affidavits. Then a elected Judge Marvin Blount from Pitt COUNTY and District granted the default judgement on my land on Columbus Day(a federal holiday). Afterwards, he than denied to set aside the default judgement. This company have been stealing black people land for a long time and if you go on my page on tiktok I will show all my proof. @Constancewashingt03. None of my orders are stamped and sealed. I have been requesting an oath of office in writing and have yet to receive it. Chowan County Superior Court is corrupt. They assisted DEH in stealing my land. I am not the first black woman they did this to. I AM A CLERK AND I KNOW CORRUPTION WHEN I SEE IT. The same company that broke the contract on my property is the same company that purchased it from the sheriff.

These people are crooked. They're working together to help steal peoples land. WENDY TURNER needs to be fired and arrested along with the no good judge. Tasteless.

Absolutely the worse court house ever! No one answers the phone after i personally called while i saw her sitting at her desk and actively ignoring calls. Had to take a 40 minute ride for something that could have been handled over the phone if she’d just do her job and pick up the phone ! Ridiculous

Unlawful ticket for being double parked when there was others cars parked same way not surprised these are agents connected to defamation of character case

This is one of the worst and most disorganized courts in America. I called multiple times seeking information and was given different and conflicting information each time. Prosecutor Jalloh does not seem to have any empathy either. He consistently offered worse plea deals and had no issues taking advantage of those with lesser education in his court. (one defendant had the choice to either plead guilty and do jail time or complete some kind of program and take a slap on the wrist. when the man didnt hear his options correctly, prosecutor jalloh pressed him to plead guilty repeatedly until the man agreed) I have absolutely no respect for this kind of behavior so it felt even better to beat Prosecutor Jalloh in court defending myself. The only redeeming quality of this court is Judge Ellington. Judge Ellington carried herself not only as extremely intelligent but also compassionate and showed genuine care for the people in her court. Even though many of the defendants in front of her were not well educated and did not know how to properly represent themselves or present themselves in a court room, Judge Ellington was always willing to take the time to talk them through the situation and explain what something meant, and while a judge cant help a defendant, she made sure that each defendant at least had a fair playing ground.

Check the hours before you go or they might be closed. You can find out a lot about it during the trolley tour as well

Why tell people 11:30 virtual court but not start till 1 o’clock ?? People work and have lives to live

They let people get beat and burned and not put the person who did it get in jail because their parents work for the county. They will also let the parents know that someone is trying to press charges against their child.

Due to the poor system, I dnt even want to live in West new york anymore. There was literally no parking the day before halloween and i was gone for 8 mins to find a ticket on my car. The parking is horrible on Bergenline plus with construction, I find the jurisdiction system to be horrible because they could not dispute my ticket in time, i was forced to pay for a ticket during this hard pandemic time also because 64 dollars is alot. I always pay the meter to park and its really disappointing for the police department to only give tickets out the day before a holiday alone. If they cant fix the parking situation, I find it in my heart to move out of West New York and to live somewhere else wheres there's easier parking.

I just received a letter saying that i owe money $383.00 from a case that was dimissed 14 years ago , I might have to take a little ride to the hospital because i have AFIB AND I'M CONECTED TO A OXYGEN PUMP, THIS PEOPLE ARE OUT TO GET YOUR MONEY BUT WITH ME THEY SCREWED WITH THE WRONG PERSON SO WISH ME LUCK AT THE HOSPITAL

People are nasty and disrespectful no help or info and you seem to wait forever outside before you get told to come in

Today I had a court day at red bank municipal court (Trial) , I got a moving violation ticket while I was leaving the municipal building in October 2019 , and I wanted to defend myself because I know that I’m not guilty and I was not supposed to get that ticket and I didn’t do anything wrong . Anyway I had a court day scheduled for December and I showed up and spoke to the prosecutor and judge and told them everything happened . The judge told me that he will reschedule for a trial on 01/16/2020 which was today . I told him to ask for a video from the police vehicle because all police vehicles in the USA have camera that records the inside and outside and that’s the only way to prove that I’m not guilty, he told me that I have to contact the prosecutor for that .
Anyway I sent email to the prosecutor requesting for the video and I sent payment 1.74$ by check like I was told .
I received the CD in the mail which was supposed to show me video of the violation but I was surprised because when I played the video in the computer it was BLANK .
Today when I was in the court the prosecutor was trying to give a deal to pay something and 0 point and I said no . I gave him the CD and told him that it’s BLANK and doesn’t show anything against me .
He told me to wait in the court room and he will call me back after he watches the video in his laptop, he called me back and he said yes you are right the video is BLANK and tried to give me the same deal again and my response was no .
We went to Trial the cop who gave me the ticket was in there and he was telling the judge his story which was not true of course , I told the judge my story and I even swore to say the truth only. When I told the judge about the video I’ve received he asked the prosecutor about it and the answer was (the cameras were not working the day I got the moving violation ticket ) . at that time I felt that they making fun of me
but unfortunately his decision (judge) was not fair and I ended up paying 189$ plus 2 points.
Unfortunately racism and discrimination still exists over here and there is no Justice and honesty in this court .

Just the same as every other court. It's always a money grab. You pay their salaries but they always want more.

From my experience here today I can say the judge I was assigned to was very much professional, understanding, fair and sympathic towards everyone .

HOWEVER, the prosecutor in the back whom I regrettably forgot his name was a short, thin hair line (almost bald), caucasian, uses glasses, and doesn't speak a lick of Spanish (I'd spare those details if I had remembered his name..). Was nothing short of disrespectful, belligerent, and fussy over simple matters. It came a point in the conversation he raised his voice loud enough that I'm assuming the court and all those (including the judge) paused and looked back. The typical chihuahua, alot of barking, no biting.

The only immediate relief during that brief conversation was when he interrupted both parking authority officers & my mom (who me were trying to explain things because one of them actually spoke Spanish, and uttered, 'take it to trial'. From then on, progress was actually being made.

I'm of the school of thought that if you treat with others with respect and dignity, they should equally be held responsible to do the same. I can say without a drop of insecurity that EVERYONE there EXCEPT that guy- exhibited this nature of behaviour.

Should you ever cross paths with this "gentleman " , don't bother wasting your breath. Despite showing him factual evidence over my case he had the audacity to behave in such a way that I couldn't pass up the opportunity to raise awareness for others that might encounter him.

Awful court. Very poorly operated and not organized at all. I don’t know if the women, who sit next to this judge, can’t read or write or use the computer because one of them doesn’t look like she knows what she’s doing and the other just sit there like they have Down syndrome. Everyone there resembles mentally defective persons including the prosecutor who is malicious, evil, uncooperative trout. This court gives the impression of a collections agency; just out to get you your money. There’s no fairness or justice present. Get your tickets somewhere else.

I wish I could rate this court zero stars. This is by far the worse system, run by the worse type people. Half the people that work here have no clue what they are doing, they are extremely unorganized and lack serious communication. From the police officers to the clerks, to the "court administrator" all that they can truly manage to do is lie and say, you never called and do anything possible to steal your money. This is perhaps the most money hungry town in NJ. I'd say do your best to never have to come to this court or deal with any of these people, it's the building of incompetence.

Judge always late.

The first time I went was to accompany someone who had to pay a ticket. The guy at the door was polite and the line moved swiftly. The second time was because of a court citation for my same friend. What an awful , rude group of people working there! From the security or lieutenant or whatever he is, to the judge. Not cool to disrespect or treat people the way y'all do.
