Worst courthouse ever. Slow employees.

This court system is certainly not JUST. I was detained overnight without any explanation or legal paperwork to support why I was being jailed. After being transferred from one jail location to another IN A VAN like an animal and sleeping (barely) on a metal bed with cockroaches overnight - I have lost respect for this Court system. To date, there is no record of my being detained!

The ladies in the violations dept were absolutely amazing and truly professional. They were smiling something we don't see often any place else. The paperwork needed was handled in a timely manner. Thank you ladies for the care, professionalism and compassion you shared while taking care of me this afternoon.

Almost impossible to get anything done with these folks. The phone always goes to an answering machine and they’re rarely if ever in the office.

Staff is great. Very clean

They'll call you in for jury duty, make you sit here for NINE HOURS, and there's *LITERALLY NOT A SINGLE WORKING WATER FOUNTAIN IN THE BUILDING*. They shut *ALL* of them off "bc COVID" (it's 2022). Water is a basic human right and necessity. This is absolutely ridiculous, and most likely illegal.

Been calling everyday for over a week trying to get a parking ticket paid and no one will answer the phone. you people are a joke.

Born and raised in Highlands. Great police officers and administrators. However while recently taking care of court dates for my brother I had to speak with the court administrator. Several bad experiences with her. She does not do her job well. She is rude and disrespectful. She spoke to me like I was beneath her. She is so unprofessional. She obviously does not like her job. There are several negative reviews. Her superiors should take care of this situation. This is an employee who is supposed to be there to serve people in the community.

Parking in Kearny is such a nightmare so I do get a lot of parking tickets! When I call the court to get my ticket information Cynthia is always so helpful, courteous, and pleasant! Than you Cynthia!

The woman who answers the phone is extremely rude and not helpful. I was on the line when my fiancé called requesting information on a warrant that was issued without a notice nor sending a trial date. I check my mail everyday and we never received ANY notice and she stated she sent 9 notices since his last court date 2 months ago, 9!!!!! that is not TRUE... She went on saying that he was ignoring the case, this is not true, there is nothing more that we want than to put this behind us. She was very disrespectful and nasty when speaking with him and hung up on him several times. He asked for the public defender info and hung up again after speedily stating his number. We were not able to get it down. We have come to the conclusion that this is her character and I can only imagine how many people have suffered and have been wrongly treated, incorrectly fined and disrespected by her. It is unfortunate that a person with this character has the position that she has. After further investigation and reviews it seems that this is a common practice with her. There has to be something that can be done because her unprofessionalism and disgusting attitude is unacceptable.

my sister was treated like a criminal after she had a jury duty notice the chubby lady with the blond hair drilled her worse than the immigration dept and what work does she do her English is ok but broken and does not understand what a grand jurist should made her so nervous before the supervisor released her she had no reason to ask so many personal questions she is from Poland and a tax paying U.S. citizen

The clerks were extremely rude on the telephone. They would not look up whether or not our file has been processed and mailed despite the fact that it has been 2 months since it was completed and submitted. The person I spoke with on the phone kept yelling if no one has called it has not been processed.

I called for help with a question regarding a concern I have and a woman named Susan (I do not know her last name) was so nasty. I couldn’t believe how rude she was. She had a horrible attitude. Very upset with how I was treated.

Never no parking, door guards are rude, & the 2 window to pay have a long line. Stay away

Ok so this is the second time I've been written a parking ticket with my work/commercial vehicle by Arlington Park. Once on Elm and now on Garafola Pl, Kearny, NJ 07032. Officer Sergio Nobre wrote it at 12:06am Tuesday morning 11/26/19. The sign clearly says Thursday so I don't know why he felt the need to give me this " "parking prohibited" ticket. The officer never even marked on the ticket as commercial. If commercial vehicles aren't allowed to park overnight there it should be posted. It's not fair to collect now $130 in parking tickets that may not have had to be written in the first place. Can someone please let me know so I can find alternative parking so not to be written another $65 ticket!!!

What a mess. A shame. I was there as a witness and was treated with complete disrespect. Each time I asked the only officer around anything he would respond with a smart mouth question or remark of his own. This place and the people running it need professional training in dealing with people. Not everyone in your court room is a defendant and even if they were it wouldn’t merit your officers and other law-officials to have a negative disposition towards them.

Where do I begin. Long story short, I had sold a motorcycle about 2 years ago and the owner never registered it. Sadly it ended up in Kearny and the nightmare begins. Since I was the last registered owner on paper, a tow yard in Kearny contacted me. I had to a “junk release” from the Police Department (had to do to the DMV too, to get a duplicate title). They told me, since I was surrendering the motorcycle, the tickets would be dropped, HA to good to be true! Two days later, all the tickets came to my house, mess up number one. Ok so now I have to schedule a court date, I did. I went to court and the tickets were dropped, thank god I kept my receipt of the plate drop off! No one seemed to believe me at first. So the tickets were dropped and I’m good to go, NOT! Couple of weeks later, I get a notice that my license is being suspended for “failure to appear in court”! I went back and found out that the Kearny court never enetered in the ruling so now, another mess. Of course it can’t be fixed there, I have to go to the DMV to stop the suspension. Went to my local DMV to find out, only Paterson and Newark can prevent a suspension, THANKS FOR LETTING ME KNOW! So now, I’m in line at the Paterson DMV and have all the time in the world to write a review, I have a 1 - 2 hour wait. I will pray for whoever else gets a ticket in Kearny! Nightmare place!

Called in twice for a speeding ticket on a road where the limit was not labelled I received one letter saying they were increasing my payment by 10 dollars because of a failure to appear when I never received a court date...called and left a message on the voice mail with my number never got a call back or a notice in the mail. Called today and the lady basically says she’s to busy to pull my info up. Mean while I already have reached out more then three times driving there and twice by phone I’m pleading not guilty do to the fact I was going 42 in a residential area where I thought the speed limit was 35 yes I know I was over by 7 mph but I have found out that the roads speed limit is 25. The road has signs posted in the opposite direction but not on your way to the light.... kinda annoying with the phone tag and not knowing weather they have put a warrant out for something I’m trying to fight.....

D.C. Superior Court is a cesspool. The judges there are mostly of the caliber you'd find at a county probate court in a very small state. Some are so lazy as to be beneath contempt. The difference between these minor leaguers and their counterparts at the Federal District level is really striking.

Kept multiple people waiting to see the prosector while other parties went in who were not waiting. Disrespectful

Officers were polite, prosecutor thinks he's a gangster and the judge literally screamed at me in court because I wanted to wait for my lawyer (that I payed 200 already) to show up or atleast contact the court, but he didn't care he wanted me to take the prosecutor's deal instead... such a waste of time and amateur behavior

Magnificent modern building! I did not do any business here. I was just taking a leisurely stroll after getting off the ferry, and this building caught my attention.

Judge McEON manages to have a good sense of humor while remaining fair and effective. Court administration with Ms. Murray at the helm is pristine.

Since i moved here 4 years ago..i was torn between Attilios and Brothers Pizza in Little silver..Giannis gave me a nice surprise and had delcious pizza and loved their sub.. BUT today it was very disappointing to open my sub and find barely a slice of turkey with bunched up lettuce and two slices of tomatoe.. Frustrated dinner..hopefully they wont get complacent and keep steady with their quality of servings.
