If you’re new to the area, or just traveling, rest, assured that this restaurant offers a very authentic Mexican experience. We’re pretty picky when it comes to food and despite the fact, this location could use a few updates the quality of the food is amazing!
I wasn't sure about the atmosphere here because it gave party vibes because of the very loud music but there were lots of kids too. I could not hear anything without yelling. Food was mediocre but the cool part was the Pina colada in a pineapple.
the food is fresh, tasty and best of all authentic. my niece and I have eaten here several times and are never disappointed. the decor is fun and eye catching though maybe an update could brighten up the place. with the string lights on its much more colorful. bottom line go for the food and the service and you will never be disappointed.
Had a very nice meal. Had the Birria tacos at the server's recommendation, highly recommend. Margarita Glass was well-salted, it was great.
Haven’t had food this good on a long time, the staff is very friendly and relaxed and knowledgeable of the menu. The house sauces are super delicious and not too hot at all. Pricing is great and food is cooked on a pretty decent time. Second time here, looking forward to trying out the rest of the menu.
Ordered Fajitas de pollo after a Yankees game. Their price is very fair among the restaurants near Yankee Stadium. But my fajitas is not up to par. There's too much juice and oil at the bottom of my plate (see picture). As a result nothing is browned or charred, instead, it feels more like boiled chicken strips with vegetables. For the same reason the dish tastes quite bland though it can be saved by their hot sauces.
Another thing that bothers me is their live performance is extremely loud and the loud speaker is very close to customers. Our experience was very uncomfortable as we had to shout to our waitress to place an order. And the singer was not even a good one and went out of tune frequently :(

As a Mexican American, im picky when it comes to trying Mexican restaurants and this place ROCKS! I had the Spicy Jose Chori Pollo and I can’t even say how good it was! Everything was fresh and spicy to perfection. On my travels, I’ll def be stopping by here to eat again!
Not one smile from any staff member. When I let them know they napkins were empty the one person actually made a loud sigh and gave me a handful of napkins as if it was unreasonable to want napkins.
I came here yesterday with my girlfriend for breakfast. I was going to go to this Cuban cafeteria close by but I've been there before and wanted to give this place a chance. I thought the back dining room was nice and convinced my girlfriend to give this place a chance.
We go in and sit down and loved the decorations and took pics of the place so we can give great reviews of the place in case we liked the food and service.
Well the waitress was very nice but did not speak English. I don't speak Spanish very well but my girlfriend did. I wanted the $9.25 breakfast on the to go menu but I didn't want black beans but wanted the refried beans. My girlfriend says the black beans are refried beans . I told her to ask the waitress and she did and waitress said yes. Maybe there was a confusion but we were charged their brunch breakfast prices for the huevos rancheros when we wanted the breakfast on the to go menu. Plus $3.50 for each coffee but on the menu it says $3 but on the receipt it says Cafe $0.00 but $7 for L, it said on the bill. We didn't order a large cofee. I wanted to bring it up the prices we were charged because I felt misled but I don't speak Spanish well enough and my girlfriend didn't want to translate.
The waitress was very nice and did a good job serving so I'll give the benefit of the doubt she somehow didn't understand but I didn't like that. I really hope it was that and not trying to upsell without asking.
The coffee was excellent and the food was good but could have been so much better if the food was hot, the food wasn't hot at all, more luke warm like it had been sitting there for awhile unfortunately. Which I don't get because we were the only ones eating in the restaurant the entire time we were there. The fries had barely any flavor. Maybe adding salt by the cook would have helped.
I was hoping for better. Maybe I'll give them another chance but we'll see. It sucks because I really wanted to like it and bring friends and family. Maybe lunch or dinner is better than breakfast. We were the only ones in the dining room during breakfast so maybe that explains why it isn't busy for breakfast. I give this place a 3.3 rating for breakfast.

The flautas were amazingly crispy and so filling! The folks were really nice.
Overall a good experience...The food was delicious! The only disappointment was the amount of flies in the restaurant. There were at least 5-6 that kept hovering around our table. We had to constantly wave them away so they wouldn't land on our food. Made for a very difficult meal.
This is undoubtedly the best Mexican food I've ever eaten. NYC, Newark, Jersey City, Union City, West New York, Gutenberg, and North Bergen offer a diversity of Mexican offerings, but The Mictlan stands above all of them. Super low-key and awesome service.
LOVE this place. The best authentic Mexican food. Order the chicken tamales and cheese flautas!!! Server was so kind, food came very quickly, the place was air conditioned and comfortable and not busy. Really really recommend if you want a good quality and casual dinner or lunch. Will be returning!!
Made a reservation for a party of 12. Had a wonderful time. The food was delicious, and well presented. if you're looking for authentic Mexican food, this restaurant is one to visit! They appear to be a small family owned place so it seems like they could use a little bit more help but I didn't feel that detracted from their service, anything we needed they took care of us. I like how nicely they decorate, I quite enjoy coming here and would recommend to anyone
Did not live up to the reviews. We ordered tacos de asada and it was overcooked meat on corn tortillas with carrots shredded on top. The enchiladas were filled with minimal lightly seasoned chicken covered in sauce with sliced onion on top. I've been to many Mexican restaurants and this one was the worst. I will not be returning to or recommending this place.
Being a CA transplant, this is the BEST Mexican restaurant in Burlington County by far! When you sit down, you are welcomed with a plate of homemade tortilla chips covered in refried black beans and homemade sauces, mild and spicy. Water is served in re-constituted Tequila bottles, which is a nice touch. Meals are very authentic. Favorites are the Carne Asada, love skirt steak, all of the tacos, but especially the carnitas, and the chicken mole. all delicious. I have tried just about everyting on the menu and everything is amazing. Service is exceptional. It is family run so you will see family members out speaking with customers and serving them, especially the Owner, Regulo, a very down to earth, kind human being who truly cares about his "guests" in his home.... Celito Lindo. He also owns part of La Cita in Cherry Hill. His brother, Jesus, owns Luna y Sol in Moorestown. Both restaurants are also good. Highly recommend.
Drinks and Food were amazing, highly recommended. They have DJ, listened to Peso Pluma. They even charged my phone witch was very important for me… overall it was great, good customer service. Photographer came over took a cool picture of me and my buddy @romerohuaraches and gave us a cool picture frame with our photos. Great memories and fun moments, definitely would come back.
People who says this place is good just DONT know nothing about Mexican food. Super greasy, tasteless, honestly doesn’t work what you pay. the Hispanic guy who I think is the owner is rude, don’t know how tho treat people and when you pay he always be like “tip is not included, you can leave it on the card or cash if you prefer” even if is for to go. Insane, I miss the old owners. Never coming back.

Holy cow. This is THE BEST Mexican restaurant in New Jersey hands down. We ordered the gorditas (off menu), Birria tacos, burros, queso, and guac two separate times and left no crumbs. The service is amazing and everyone is so friendly. Gaspar, the chef, is so kind and Ingrid is wonderful as well!! Just moved into town and I’m obsessed with this place! PLS CHECK IT OUT. Also the prices…. Phenomenal.
Came in for a late dinner. Guacamole was excellent. Got the Al pastor tacos which were flavorful. Will definitely be going again and will try to leave room for desert. The staff were eager to please and welcoming. They’ve only been there for a few months so I think some of the old reviews are outdated for a previous restaurant that existed in its place.

The food at Tacos el Tio was amazing! I had the shrimp tacos and they were very tasty and seasoned well. I also have to give a shout out to our waitress, Sam! She was a delight and truly made our experience special while dining at Tacos el Tio. She was one of the best servers I ever had! If you visit Tacos el Tio, I would definitely request to have her as your waitress if possible.

We are so happy we tried this place before a show recently. Amor Loco is very cute and traditional with a long bar (yay!), very friendly service (our guy behind the bar was great), and very generous portions of delicious food. We had excellent margaritas, chips & great salsa, mushroom tacos and short rib empanadas. We loved it all but could not even finish it!
What's Matter is the food. Amazing nice tacos and delivery fast... Don't forget to gift some tips some of those delivery guys works by tips only some of them not all of them 🥰
Nothings perfect but the food slaps at the joint 🥰. Came home for a family visit wanted to try something new and was not disappointed. Service was okk, we had someone in training (obvious) but she never checked on us again. The food was good enough tho 😋 will definitely visit again cause the yum was on 💯 at Amor Loco!
I celebrated my birthday, Sunday,6/25 at this establishment. I can't say enough about the staff who made my day extra special. The food was amazing. The atmosphere was great. Our server Serafin was the real star of the show. He saw to it that we were attended to regardless of the crowd. It was a packed house. I would definitely recommend this place on any day but a special occasion especially. I will absolutely be returning. You've gained a loyal customer.
First time in NY and wanted to try a local restaurant near times sq. Vibes are immaculate, music is great. Nice and cozy inside and love the decor. Service was a little slow but the servers were nice. First time having the birria tacos and they were an 11/10! Meat was super tender and well seasoned and everything just melts in your mouth. The consommé was delicious & had the perfect amount of heat.
This was my worse visit out of very many. The waiter did like the fact that he could not understand me. Why I do not know but it was tough for me also. But he seemed angry. Also he told me my order had queso cheese on it when I got the Beef burrito not a drop to be found. Everytime with the usual waiter or one of the three I knew I always had been satisfied and tipped very well. This time I went with someone else and they said 3 times that guy is angry. Next the food was very different than the last 12 times I have been. The person I went with said the same thing it was way to spicy hot not normal for a Double Burrito Deluxe both Beef. It tasted very hot, almost no taste just spice,. I asked him for more Salsa to dilute the pepper or Chile on it he grumbled and did not come back. Another waiter came by we asked him he sent our waiter out to us and he finally filled my tea from empty to full again. And ce back with my salsa to dilute the hot peppers hopefully. Could not understand what happened with us or did something happen to him before we got there.? Idk so the service and food were horrible. In fact the worse experience eating Mexican food ever, this waiter was not helpful but my fried said that this guy maid the hot his own self he believed.

But something has happened and it is not the same. # 1 the waiter was rude and incompetent and the food was bad. This time I drove and look forward to eating there. But I will never go to San Joses in Lexington again. No more bragging how good they are. Because it was below average. Food and service. Going to find new Max Restaurant. Not waisting my money again. To many others around. So this is not worth the time. Bad attitude waiter service and food was way off the norm. Obviously others feel the same we thought they were closed only 2 other people were there. Anyway don't be wasting time here. This guy rushed us and there was only 2 other people so he was not rushed.
I give up on them.

The worst Chipotle around, especially if you're ordering on Door Dash. This location always forgets items, gives people empty fountain drink cups when they order drinks, never gives napkins or utensils, they package the food poorly (queso spilled everywhere in the bag on a previous order of mine) and today there was meat in my meatless burrito bowl. I'm a vegetarian and haven't had meat in 13 years, as soon as I noticed I spit it out but the damage was done. I was feeling nauseated pretty quickly after that. So reckless and careless. People are paying for this food and the orders aren't correct and that's incredibly messed up. The amount of 1 star reviews on Door Dash alone is a huge red flag. Avoid this location!!!
We went in for Taco Tuesday ($2/taco) and tried every kind of meat. Chorizo and steak were our favorite, highly recommended! The waiters were very friendly and the restaurant had a good vibe. The main reason it was not a 5-star experience for us is that the size of the tacos was a bit inconsistent, some were pretty small, while others were more standard size. Overall, we would definitely go back to try their other dishes.
I ordered the birria Quesadila which was a very good size for me a bit spicy so careful there, extra cheesy and delicious. Servers we're women who we're sweet and kind. My mother ordered the tacos de chivo. She enjoyed it she almost never enjoys restaurant food. The Salsa that was served she said was so delicious and yummy. The only reason I give the atmosphere a 4 and not a 5 was because the Ac was a bit smelly so we did move elsewhere. Other then that we got what we paid for it was delicious music and decor was awesome and it's a much bigger location now!

I wasn’t sure about this place based on the outside but man does the food make up for it! Very authentic- not overseasoned/salty at all. The decor reminds me of mexico city, dark lighting but very romantic. They have a lunch menu and it’s byo, there’s also some outdoor seating as well.
Great food. Good margarita. Friendly staff. Not a fan of the city or location, but I’d go back if I were around that area for sure.
I've been coming here since I was a teenager and the food is awesome. The owners of this family owned restaurant are very nice, down to earth, hard working people. They're very attentive and the food is delicious. I recommend stopping in here any time of the day to grab a quick Tex-Mex bite.

Sam, our waitress, was absolutely fantastic! She provided exceptional service, making us feel welcomed and attended to. Her friendly demeanor and attentiveness added an extra layer of enjoyment to our meal. Not only did she ensure that our orders were delivered promptly and accurately, but she also offered insightful recommendations from the menu. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the restaurant, thanks in large part to Sam's exceptional service and our delicious meals.
I really enjoy the food. I've only gotten the Baja Fish Tacos, which are a hit or miss. But when they hit, they hit. The coleslaw compliments the fried fish and the jalapeño aoli gives it a nice kick. The trio tower is worth it if you are a guacamole lover. It has the 3 different types of guacs the restaurant offers. The Campechano Tacos are good if you are a meat lover and looking for something nice and heavy to eat. They give you free options to pick from if you or a loved one is celebrating a birthday here. The Cantina lava cake is a must try. Warm ooey gooey chocolate on the inside melting the icecream. If you are looking for somewhere quiet though I do not recommend. It can get very loud at times.
I didn’t think I could find good Mexican food in this area, but this place is Amazing! food was delicious and a decent price. The presentation was nice and the service was very friendly. The location was very nice, which I usually don’t think about, but they had the wall open and you could feel the breeze from outside, it was a great day.

Service needs improvement, Maybe they understaffed for memorial day weekend but we waited for everything a bit too long. Staff would just disappear to the kitchen or just stayed out of sight.

Great restaurant. Wonderful mango margaritas and awesome tacos
This place slaps. The service was good and there was love entertainment (the singer was very good.) We got the steak burrito, the al pastor taco, and a quesabirria taco. They had seating after the game and the red and green salsa was good and spicy as long as you drenched your food in it. Would recommend!

We got a steak burrito, quesabirria, and an al pastor taco! Do not pass up going here. Quick walk from the stadium and had availability after the game. Would definitely eat here again.
Stumbled upon this place -- so glad I did find this gem. Loved the atmosphere. The decor. The DJ and music. The vibe. The service was impeccable -- even including the bathroom attendant. Interesting yet tasty menu. Loved my skinny jalapeño margarita made just for me :). Best chips !!!! I will be back

Absolutely banging! The Birria tacos, get them get them get them! The atmosphere, love. Solo trip to the bar and it felt so cozy even with someone’s back facing me 🤣 bartender on sight was friendly. Coconut lemonade was awesome. I enjoyed the hostess’s energy when greeting me too. I’d deff give a 10/10 for my nyc birria spot! 🌟

The atmosphere is unlike any other - I felt transported somewhere outside of NYC. The chips and guac is a great portion size. Tacos come with 3 in the order and were really yummy! The drinks are a great size and strong! The dessert was delicious!

I came with a friend because she mentioned that she was told the week prior there would be specials for Cinco de Mayo so she made reservations for that day. On the day it was packed!

I'm staying in hotel for work and I've tried two different locations in the last week. The first order had 5 pieces of chicken in my pastor bowl, tonight 4/16/23 my chicken bowl tasted like the bottom of a burned metal pan, the chips had no seasoning just straight tortillas, no salt, nothing... please do better yall.

Great vegan food my daughter loves. She says their tacos taste like regular meat tacos since their fake meat is so good and they add plenty of other stuff to her tacos. Very nice place
The place is adorable inside. The service is great, it is a family owned and operated restaurant. The food is outstanding. Everything was delicious. The place is also BYOB so very reasonable pricewise. Highly recommend
First time ordering takeout from a Mexican place that has super bland food. Ordered shredded chicken enchiladas and this disgusting mess is what I got. No flavor at all, chicken is white with no seasoning, AND ITS NOT EVEN SHREDDED!!! On top of that they gave me a side salad that’s all wilted. Tried to make it have some taste and the red sauce on the side has no flavor either. DO NOT RECOMMEND for takeout. Just awful
It is a very nice and cozy Rooftop, it has an excellent vibe, however, you should be careful when making the reservation, because they are not very clear about the waiting times.

After we got our food, discovered they have no forks to eat our messy salads with. I asked how can we eat without forks and they said, "I have no idea" and walked away from me. Great customer service Chipotle.🙄
First time here - my daughter wanted tacos and I found this place on Google Maps. Clean and cute restaurant and all of the staff smiled and were very kind. Sadly my Spanish is not good but I was able to give my order and it was exactly what I had in mind. Steak tacos were good! The chips were also good and fresh. The guacamole was our favorite- delicious! Looking forward to coming back again!
Amor Loco is a great place for Mexican food. We came here for dinner before seeing a Broadway show. We’d been here before for drinks over the summer and had wanted to come back to try the food. Everything we had was delicious. I had the Birria Tacos and Street Corn. We shared the Chorizo Mac & Cheese Balls and Guac & Chips, which had onions in it. I didn’t mind, but my friends didn’t care for the onions. I was too full to try dessert, but will be back!

It was a little over priced but I ordered a chalupa and have traveled to many of states, mostly the mid and mid west and this is the first Mexican resturant I have been to that makes a chalupa like a tostada??? It was a flat fried corn tortilla not the traditional fried bread, also my server asked what meat I would like and I said chicken but it came out with beans, I asked him about the chicken and he kind of talked down to me saying it's not taco bell, do you want a side of chicken! I did say no thanks but everyting tasted the same with different sauces and we ordered 7 different items....It is my fault after reviewing the menu it states its a fried flat corn tortilla but who would expect that for a chalupa honestly? the chinmichanga was very small too, about the size of my palm! Would recommend El Jimador over here the portions are twice the size for the same price, and very friendly service! The servicer Lorenzo wasn't terrible but wasn't great either! I still left him $10 to prove a point......

Used to love ordering from here. But recently i got tostadas de carnitas and the pork tasted so bland and the avocado slices were so black. I even bit into a huge piece of pork fat that was disgusting. Not to mention the counter lady was pulling apart a big slab of oaxaca cheese with her bare hands NO GLOVES and handling the register at the SAME TIME. How unsanitary smh
But chicken and chorizo plate! Super Bravo is my fave! The spicy salsa is sooooo good! I can literally drink it! We go there with my office every Thursday. It's a tradition. They remember us always and what we order.
This place is an absolute disaster. 4 people "working" yet only 1 person helping customers. My pick up order was supposed to be ready by 12:45 yet 25 minutes past that time and the order hasn't even been started! There are also currently 15 people in line waiting to be served. This location needs to fire everyone, or at least the managers because they are giving a bad name to a usually good company.
This is the second time I eat here. The service and food were both excellent. Honestly, this now my favorite Mexican restaurant! The Tacos Birria were superb and my vegetarian friend who ordered vegetarian enchiladas said they were delicious. You can’t go wrong here. Love it!
Delicious, authentic Mexican food in humble digs. The Grilled Chicken Torta was one of the best I've ever had. Style of the food here seems to be a blend of Mexico City (CDMX) and Puebla – in a word, delicious
This is a cute little gem that open up two months ago. The restaurant has been renamed to 'The Mictlán' and the new owners are from la Cuidad de México. I ordered Tacos De Birria that were so delicious, highly recommend it. Nice red salsa with chips as appetizer. La salsa verde is good but could use a bit more spices.
The food was just okay. Everything tasted like it came out of a can. The place is really not set up for dining in although there are a few tables around but it's mostly a takeout and delivery. There are better places for Mexican food in Hell's Kitchen

The place is really cute with great outside seating! Awesome presentation of the meal as well! However my dining experience wasn't the best and I would have been okay with the fact that my server forgot my horchata and did not check on me the whole time I was eating to see if I had it, or needed hot sauce or anything else, but it affected me negatively because when I shared with him that I did not get my horchata and he could remove it from the bill and don't worry about it, he blamed it on it being busy and as I looked around everyone had drinks coming but me but there were only 5 people in house!
However, the food was good and I do believe there could be a better experience. Maybe his head was just gone that day... we all have bad days.
But, try it out! Because it was a cute spot, just being honest about my experience.

Ordered takeout from this place and it's been the highlight of my week! Most flavorful enchilada sauce I've ever had plus they had a roasted veggie option that was super filling. Perfectly seasoned rice and I've had more salsa verdes than I can count, but this one is the most memorable. Also got the fajitas and ate them a couple of days later, the chicken was still very tender and seasoned perfectly. Highly recommend!
Just love it! Me and my wife had a amaizing dinner here tonight. Food was amaizing and Staff very friendly. As a chef i totally recomend that restaurant. I would give more than five stars . We love it! I got birria beef tacos, and the birria quesadilla and shrimp al pastor( we were 2 people, and starving) didn't disappoint, table outside , drinking margaritas and enjoying the night.higly recommended for a night out.Nathan was our server for the night, and we was fantastic!

We found this amazing place while walking to see a game on Yankee stadium! And I have to say it is a little peace of paradise for AUTHENTIC Mexican food lovers! I definitely can say that I had THE best soup in my live, and the most delicious guacamole in the city. Every detail in their food presentation was exceptional. Our kids( who are usually very picky ) cleaned their plates within few minutes.

First time coming here and it was okay last minute idea my sister suggested. When we first arrived around 9:02pm there was no hostess around and we waited a good 13 minutes which was uncalled for, at least one of the ladies that was upfront greeted us and asked how our day was interacted with us while we waited then she finally sat us at a booth to be seated I guess since the hostess wasn’t anywhere around. I ordered the corn patty not sure exactly what it was called on the menu with chorizo it was really good minus the corn patty it was a lot of breading and it made me full faster. The chips and salsa they give you is really good the green salsa I’m talking about. I ordered a side of Mexican rice really really good I loved it. My sister ordered a coconut mojito it was okay not that strong of a drink and it tasted to minty for her. I got a Mango Margarita it was really delicious but the glass was small not like a regular margarita glass I’m used to for about $9.50.

Food was so good. The tacos were fresh with plenty of meat. The salsas were spicy and tangy. I would recommend!
This was my 1st to visit Azteca in about 2 or 3 years. I can’t say that this is the best Mexican food that I have eaten. It’s OK as long as you aren’t expecting to be overwhelmed. The tortilla chips are not very tasty and the salsa is a bit bland. The Superior Burrito that I ordered was not very tasty and the sour cream was very runny. It deceptively looked larger than it was because of the way the lettuce, tomato, and sour cream were piled up. Take all of that away and the actual burrito is smaller than you would think. On the other hand my friends enjoyed their platters.
Maybe I’m somewhat picky and I certainly set the bar high, but I really have had much better Mexican food elsewhere. Read my reviews for On the Border or Luna Y Sol. Both of those restaurants are also local.

Although we have ordered from Chipotle many times before, this is the first time due to covid-19 that we actually went into the restaurant to order. The process was smooth and the employee was masked and wore gloves to keep things safe. Our order was delicious as usual.
I have been living on takeout during the pandemic. Tried this restaurant for the first time today. It was delicious! They were very kind and added some hot sauces too which were also very tasty. I appreciate their hard work during this difficult time. Thank you restaurant workers!
Trying the beef tacos was a good choise, the meat is just delicious, i also ordered a Jamaica's water because someone recomended and never taste anything like it, a really good place to try mexicano gastronomy.
One of the most authentic Mexican restaurants around. Been coming for years. Excellent chips and salsa, but the cheese dip and guacamole are fantastic. I had the enchiladas supreme,my plate is almost empty it was so good. My partner had the beef tacos and loved them. Can get busy, we went early and had no problem. Definitely recommend!
Higher end mexican resturant and bar. Has great atmosphere with both indoor and outdoor seating. With pleasant views (see pictures)The food was served with a beautiful presentation (see pictures) and tasted great. The bar has an extensive selection of tequilas. We had desert which was also excelent.
I've been here about 5 times and have not been disappointed. I can't wait to go again. The meals I've attached pictures of from left to right are chilaquiles verdes-spicy, torta de milanesa de res-not spicy, and quesadillas de pollo con tinga-mild. All have been amazing!

I've passed by this place so many times and today we decided to stop and grab a bite to eat. WOW.. I have to say go and try it. Small place but huge on flavor. The service is amazing too. We sat outside because we had our dog with us. As soon as the waitress came to take our order she asked if we wanted water for our dog. I was surprised and thankful. I felt I was at a restaurant in Hoboken or in the city where almost every place is pet friendly. The food is excellent and the margarita was awesome. We are definitely coming back to this place and I highly recommend this place. A hidden gem in Union City. Who would have known?
