Fresh delicious tacos 🌮
Nice place but super loud. They also have a private room for your party.

One of the best Mexican food I have eaten and lot of vegan options. I have been going to them since a year now. The food and service are both on point. Do not expect a fine dine experience when you visit them. It is a small restaurant with limited seating options.

Classic Mission experience. The Hashbrown sandwich and the plátanos are pure heaven. I make it a point to eat here when I'm in town.

Again I decided to go to this place and this time unsuccessfully, the staff in the cafe was rude, sometimes it seemed that they forgot about me altogether, as well as my order. (The wait was 30 minutes, maybe less, but it felt like it).

It was an impromptu plan to have dinner here but we were left surprised. The place is big and nicely decorated. Outside seating area looks beautiful in the evening with the fairy lights. They serve you complimentary nachos and salsa which is a good starter. We ordered cactus tacos and veg torta sandwich. The tacos were surprisingly good and the torta sandwich looked dry but had great flavours. The prices are also super economical. All and all a good experience. Would definitely recommend this place and come back as well.

A solid Mission district favorite! Red Cafe is always a reliable choice. Good food, generous portions, and great service. Cozy, friendly vibe. I couldn’t finish my giant Breakfast Quesadilla. My partner got the club sandwich and we just ate our leftovers for dinner tonight. That’s 4 meals for $50!

Mi Casita was once our favorite restaurant in Shelbyville. Unfortunately our last visit was very uncomfortable. Our server was very rude. I saw him roll his eyes at us multiple times. I'm a server myself so I have compassion for other servers. But he seemed very annoyed with us. We were a very easy 5 top. My kids were very well behaved so the server didn't need a reason to roll his eyes at us. We will not be returning to this restaurant.

I have been enjoying their food for over 8 years, and it keeps getting better, it is the best Mexican restaurant around. I have had a lot of Mexican food, this is the best in Hudson County. It is not the closest to me but I will make the drive to pick up because the food is that much better than any other place. I have tried all of the Mexican places in Hudson County, this is THE PLACE. Last evening we had the chicken quesadillas beyond any others. Tacos, tostadas, Huaraches....what can I say. Always a treat.
I always rate my favorite Mexican restaurants by how good the salsa is. While they don't have my absolute favorite salsa, this is hands down the best in Shelbyville.
The service is always great regardless of who is waiting on us and the food is delicious. They've recently made improvements to their menu so be sure to check out the new items.
I had the lunch buffet. It is the best Mexican buffet I’ve had. Several good options but the best, by far, was the garlic parmesan wings!
It’s recommended by the locals and definitely worth a try!

The meal we had here was decent - bistec encebollado, and it was big enough to share for two. But the margarita was disappointing, and it definitely didn’t taste like it was made from a bar that specializes in Mexican food. The service was prompt, but we were also surprised that we got charged for asking for an extra salsa.

The bar was lively on a Friday night! Happy hour starts again at 10pm!

Jack needs to stop thinking he can sell international foods. Reason In n Out and Chick Filet make 10 times more money per location is they focus. All the grilled chicken tastes boiled jack. Burgers, Sourdough stuff, shakes, breakfast and soda variety are all great everything else including the tacos suck bad.
Love this Mexican lunch buffet in Shelbyville. Each dish tastes different which is a nice change to a lot of Mexican restaurants. Big fan of the chicken dishes and carnitas

It's Taco Bell, so you know the kind of food. That said, the girl running the drive thru the night we were there was very fishy. While paying, we handed her our credit card and then she asked us to back up about 20 feet and then pull back forward. Pretty sure she was taking pictures of credit cards. Beware!!

They took over an hour to make our food. We used the app and already paid or wouldn't have waited. They had us park, after 15 minutes we went and sat in the lobby. Their whole team knew we were waiting for an order. An hour later they finally gave us our food. Had I known we would have went next door to longhorn and waited the same amount of time.
The best Mexican food! We’ve tried many different items and they are all good. The raspberry margarita (on the rocks) is the best we’ve ever had. Ask for Heriberto as your server, you won’t be disappointed!

Always amazing. Love the quesadillas. Best I've ever had. We always get 1 chicken and 1steak quesadilla for the table. Comes with guac and sour cream. I had the steak fajitas last time and they did not disappoint. Enough for 2 people. Churasco is always a winner. We also got the encebollado and tacos last time and it was all great.

I work in the plaza. Employees are rude. Order was wrong again as usual. Given small drink when ordered a large. Employee gave me wrong flavored freeze twice before giving me correct one. How hard is it to read the order and push a button. Avoid this location at all cost...guess I'll go to McDonald's or the Brazilian or pho spot in the plaza. If I'm going to have to wait might as well spend my money with a local small business that can get my order correct and be polite.

Forever short staffed and lack of any customer service. Waited 26 mins for 2 items. They are having all customers wait in parking spots while the one kitchen staff prepares food. Do better. Hire management that cares and will run one of your stores up to standards.

Food is cold and uneditable
We always rate every venue, office, restaurant, hotel 5 star and we based our reviews on honest and detailed orientation of many things. But our 5 star reviews sometimes has negative comment based on the outcome.
With that being said the drive through service was really nice but the chicken quesadilla from Taco Bell made gave one of our group diarrhea and he had to go 4-5 times in the bathroom during a concert night in Orlando.

This is the worst Taco Bell I have ever been to. The employees were absolutely so rude. We waited 40 minutes for our food and the employees were snappy at us about it. There were several other customers in there and they were also complaining. Our food was wrong & they wouldn’t give us our drinks. We tried to ask the employee a question and they walked away and ignored us. Absolutely terrible.

Coffee tastes great and not bitter. When ordering the omlette with hash browns they do serve two full slices of bread for the toast. Most places have one slice of toast. Waitress offered to refill my coffee three times. Right across the street from the Italian pastry. Parking is free in the morning up to 9am. You can find easy parking before 8am.
The waiter was not very friendly. He acted like we were bothering him. They brought us chips and salsa. There was a black hair in our chips. We paid for our soda's and our queso Blanco that was $15.00 and left. Won't be back.
I loved the fish tacos and chicken rolls .. the truffle fries are good too .. there are lot of good options to explore. Definitely a thumps up 👍

As soon as you walk in, you're greeted by staff and sat down. Seating both inside and out front. They weren't busy when we arrived but there was a party going on which you never would've known because we didn't hear anything at all which was nice. The only thing was that they sat us by the door and so we had some unexpected winds every now and again.
I was choosing a place to eat for lunch and had my heart set on some chinese food but the restaurant was closed, right down the street I saw this place and stopped in. I ordered the pork chops with rice and beans, it also came accompanied with some homemade tortillas. For desert I got their flan and was surprised by how yummy and creamy it was, definetly tasted homemade. The food was good and very satisfying, I ate the entire thing and was full for the rest of the day. Because of the experience I had, I will be returning but I want to try so many of the other dishes they offer.
Good, authentic flavors
Not much seating
Basically a take out
Ordered steak tacos and ground beef tacos. Tasted good but the ground beef tacos immediately mess my stomach up. I will not order the beef tacos again. Also $4 per little taco is not worth the price. I will only order from here on emergencies

Cool Mexican restaurant in Grove St. Would recommend trying the spicy shrimp tacos. It's very tasty and comes with rice and beans. If you're very hungry, consider the truffle ribeye burrito. This is quite big and could be enough for two people to share. It's also tasty, although the cream sauce poured over it seemed a bit too much.
For starters, you could try the guacamole with chips. There are different variations of guac and they have a tastings option of 3/5/7 different guac flavors. Consider trying the guacamole casa (closest to original), pulpo picante (octopus) and el naco (crispy braised pork belly).
The ambience is really nice, spray painted murals on the walls and colorful lighting.
I've been 3 times. Food is Amazing! Love taco Tuesday's.
My first server was fantastic, no complaints. Do to her and the food is the reason we came back. The 2nd one, the guy didnt do a good job at all. Never refilled our drinks. The owner ended up coming and refilled them, they wasn't even busy. Waiter was not good at all. 3rd time. They was busy, waitress was training. I asked for no lemon with my tea. Because im allergic. She brought it back with lemon on the cup. 🤦‍♀️ i waited forever for my sour cream. Waitress didnt ask us how the food was, or if we needed refills. When finished we stacked and put our plates at the end of the table, to let the waitresses know we was finished. She never came to give us our bill. So we waited a while befor we went to cash ourselves out. The owners wife ranged us up. And charged us for 2 teas and a lemonade. Mind u it was only 2 of us and we never got refills. So why did we pay for 3 drinks🤷‍♀️

Great breakfast! Also had their salad at lunch time. Quick service, even if need order to go. Friendly staff! Always greet with smile.
This place is truly a gem. We were simply impressed with everything, from greeting and interior to service.

Sangria was very tasty, with interesting way of serving- small bottle of hard liquors.

For food we had nachos, few tacos and wood grilled carne asada. Carne asada- the meat was tender, juicy and absolutely delicious.

We were so happy to choice this place for late lunch. Incredibly satisfied. 💛

Jorge the manager needs Customer Service training.

Ordered my food and saw coupons on the counter. I asked the two gentleman behind the counter if I could take some to my work to encourage them to go to Jacks. Jorge micromanaged his employees and yelled rudely one per customer as if he had any idea about what was going on. I got a refund and left. Try trusting your employees instead of embarrassing them them in front of the whole restaurant.

Won’t be going back. Will now encourage my coworkers to go anywhere but here.
At least your business will be appreciated.

The food is delicious, generous portions. Fresh, Authentic Mexican food. The prices are very affordable. Very friendly staff
I highly recommend it.
Weird to see the bad reviews. We've been getting burritos here for years, they have the best veggie burrito in the city in my +husband's opinion (spinach and broccoli) and they give you 2 for the price of one. Agree that the chicken tacos are not the best but give other things a try for sure. Green sauce is also dope.
Fast service and good food. I had the salmon and it was very good. Nice ambiance in the restaurant but a little loud when they are busy.

This restaurant is the reason I'm usually always cooking my food at home. I stopped by this jack in the box on the way home and ordered the #7. They gave me cold salted fries that tasted like old stale tobacco even though i asked for unsalted fries. Cold burger that had to be sitting up for hours, it was not fresh at all, and thank goodness I asked for a bottled water because God only knows what's in the soda machine. I will never stop at this place again. I would rather starve to death.

This Mexican venue has all the flare, flavor and service without overwhelming your wallet. When in Jersey City, this is where you want to dine to enjoy authentic Mexican cuisine.
...
My wife & I were staying at the Westin nearby and as we were deciding where to go for dinner, we discovered this place (on Google of course!).

We walked over despite the misty cool rain, and we were able to get a seat very quickly. The entrance isn't super fancy, but once inside, it appears quite luxurious. To the right was the bar with a big screen, showing the upcoming contenders of the next kick-boxing match on Pay-Per-View.

Our host walked us the opposite direction to the dining space where many clean and simple wooden tables and chairs awaited hungry diners in groups of 2 or 4. We were seated at a comfy 2-top and quickly given a bowl of salsa with their homemade chips in a simple woven basket with a parchment between the chips and the basket.

We had already looked at the menu (again, on Google), so we went ahead and ordered our choices: Chicken Flautas and Bistec a la Tampiquena. Both were very nicely presented and they tasted so good! We weren't sure if that would fill us up, but with the Chips & Salsa, it was perfect, with a few leftovers to munch on later.

Our waiter was diligent in taking our order, providing beverages (we just went with water with lime) and getting it all to us quickly and tastefully. ¡Muy Bien!

We enjoyed the environment as painted bamboo stalks for a quad-pic of Frida Kahlo looked down on us. The only strange thing was that it wasn't Mexican music playing over the speakers: it was 1960-70s songs from the likes of Elton John, Terry Jacks, and Rupert Holmes, and only 1 song that was replete with Latino musica. But because the food was so tasty, it was actually pleasant. I would definitely come back. 👍👍

From the moment I walked in, I knew this was going to be a got spot. I was greeted by a very friendly woman who said there was space for us on a buzy Sunday where we could watch the game with a 5 year child. The food was fresh, and I felt like I was in Mexico 🇲🇽 the entire time the owner came over and said hello. We felt special. And of their food was authentic. We will definitely be going back.
One of the best Mexican food places in the area. It is a small place, with not much seating. The prices are very reasonable, had full meal for a total of $15 including everything, and the quantity of food is good.
Got the chicken Verde enchiladas and chorizo quesadilla. Both tasted great and were filling. The Quesadilla filling is actually very tasty.
Love the food at Orale! It’s been a staple Mexican place for me for the last few years. I’ve tried a few things on the menu at this point and I would have to say that I love their street corn and guacamole samplers! Their hot sauces are definitely no joke but amazing to spice up your entrees if you need.

I LOVE that they give us so many tacos with our order! Most places cap at 3 so ordering just the entree of tacos is actually enough to fill you up in itself which is nice. Their veg burrito is pretty amazing. I’ve tried their fried chicken sandwich which is also super crispy and flavorful.

Have been to this place a few times and each time had a great experience. The food is soo good! One of the best Mexican restaurants I have been to in my life. The margaritas are also solid. It's a smaller place but still haven't had a problem getting seated on crowded Friday and Saturday nights. Service was also good and attentive. It does get a bit loud and tight when crowded but it's worth it for the food.

Please don’t serve any more day old empanadas that are microwaved in front of the customer. The first time I tried them, they were great. Went ahead and picked some up the next morning and it was very clear these were old. Ate one and tossed the other.

3 stars because the flautas were really good.

This place was a let down, I came in expecting just a regular diner but I was let down by the food. For starters the chilaquiles were made with stale chips and not nearly enough egg. My corned beef hash was also a let down and it felt like it came from a can, plus it was under cooked. Over all my experience did not meet my expectations. The food was lacking in both taste and quality, and I couldn't help but feel that the ingredients used were the lowest quality.

I ordered food at 12am on Friday 1/13/2023, my order consisted of 1 combo spicy chicken sandwich($10+), and a order of 6pc ($9)chicken strips. The chicken strips were over cooked so much that the chicken if it even had some all was stale. The burger was the only thing good. The drink was in a new cup and I don’t know if they added water to make up for the big size but it made my stomach hurt right away.
The best Mexican spot in The Heights.

Atmoshohere: Very clean, well-organized and quaint

Food: AUTHENTIC and flavorful

Service: Friendly and catering ( meaning they will take care of you)

I had the...

Burrito Tinga : Fair warning- 2 come in a single order. Smacking with flavor. Homogenous draw-dropping flavor throughout

Fried Quesadilla Tinga : Buckle your seatbelt for this one- a total of 4 come in a single order . The chicken was covered in sauce all throughout the inside of quesadilla (no dry spots) . Buttery, light crunch to the outside part

Salsa picante (Verde)- fresh.
Crema- fresh.

FAIR prices

Came here for happy hour. I was never here before. We sat at the bar. Decor is cool, place has a great vibe. The wait service was friendly and attentive.

I got their classic margarita for $6 on happy hour. Oh man it was very strong and delicious. Which is good! I got the Juan to know Juan tacos normal $22 but half off for happy hour. 3 tacos normally for $22 is pretty expensive. And to be honest I wasn’t blown away. They were very spicy to me. The meat was tender and good but I wish there was more of that corn bread crumble to counteract the spicyness. I did like the roasted scallions on the side. It came with rice and beans but they just lumped it in one bowl for two people and it wasn’t really enough for us to share. Some tacos like the duck and tuna are not on the happy hour menu.

Happy hour is cash only. And they definitely make you know it. Told us multiple times and then before they gave us the bill asked “do you have the cash?” We did… but it felt like I was in a drug deal. Other than that my experience was fine. I do like the funky decor and the bathrooms were very clean. But ultimately I think this place is a bit too expensive for the food they serve and I’m not a fan of the cash only happy hour.

Worst chicken taco ever- chicken thigh not breast meat- cheap, tasteless cheese. the guacamole was a thin and wet texture (frozen maybe?).
I paid extra for corn shells but still got flour. i ended up throwing 2 of the four tacos away!
The black beans were good-on the sweet side and tasted like baked beans not Mexican beans.
Best vegetarian burrito I’ve ever had! I’m so sad I live far from here or I would be in every single day! Authentic food and sweet talented staff, Can’t wait to come back.

Thrilled to rediscover this place. When all the restaurants in the area are empty, no wonder this one is packed. Fun, relaxed with really impeccable food. The homemade salsa is to die for! Absolutely delicious. And the homemade tortilla chips are a fantastic accompaniment to it.

I ordered the spicy margarita which was indeed spicy — and I loved everything about it. For my main I had the chicken flautas. Fabulous!

Our waitress, Fabi, also made the meal. Charming, bubbly, and kind enough to smile sweetly as I threw my terrible schoolboy Spanish at her.

Such a great place. A+++

The best thing about Yummy Tortillas is that I can get Mexican food when my husband is eating Chinese. It's fair Mexican food but not the best, it's being cooked in a Chinese restaurant. Fast and reasonably priced. Their Chinese food (Lucky Star) is better.
This is not a real mexican spot , this is the 2nd time and the las one i come here for food , the food is not tasty at all , tacos or tortas are really dry ,and salsa side is a dollar extra when they are suppossed to give you a side of salsa also minimum you have to spend is 15 dll i dont recomend this place , at all , the lady who attend looks like she wants you to buy even things i dont want just to buy 15 dll wich is the minimum , dont waist your time or money, go eat something good somewhere else

Very peaceful place to have dinner with drinks...food very delicious...not expansive..keep it up
Authentic Mexican Food full of flavor. The Chicken soup could use some cumin and a little more spice, but it was good. Ranchero sauce and chicken were also good. They served two salsas, one was milder without cilantro, if you prefer. The margarita was massive and delicious.
Love this place. My go to for Ceviche and Tacos. The Margs are great and bartender Izzy also makes it a treat to visit this place. Making this place a blast to spend time at after work.
The service is very quick. The margaritas regular and Jamaican are amazing and strong. The steak quesadilla and pork tostadas (pork is well seasoned) amazing 👏.
The only way to make reservations was thru Resy online with a cancellation penalty of $25/person!!! So we always did walk-ins on weeknights.

We loved the Pulpo (octopus) appetizer, perfectly cooked and flavorful. We had tried a few different tacos and liked the Salpicon (fish), Carnitas (crispy pork belly), and Tuna (very spicy). The only miss was Carolina Barbacoa (roast pork). It tasted spicy yet bland.

The indoor space was dark and very loud. We preferred to sit outside when the weather was cooler.
Always crowded on Saturdays; indoor and outdoor seating. Loud music inside.
Good tacos and great value! Cash price is cheaper than if paying with card. All day breakfast entrees come with complimentary Bloody Mary or mimosa.
Beef head taco was very good, the lamb taco is very spicy, pork tostada was very good. Margarita is one of the best margaritas we’ve tried. The tortilla chips were very good and the sauce was really tasty.
I LOVED the food here so much and I can't recommend this place more. If you want authentic, delicious Mexican cuisine, then this place is definitely the restaurant to go to. The guacamole was addictingly yummy, and the bistec tacos and chorizo quesadilla were very yummy. We ate inside the restaurant so we had a lot of green and hot sauce to work with. It was a very lovely experience.
Fav taco spot in grove street area I prefer them over gringos (a few blocks west). I come here often or atleast once a month. Steak tacos are good and sauces are perfect ratio of spicy and tasteful. Margarita are the devil I wouldn’t say tasty but you will be drunk after a few sips lol. Also they gave me Xmas card last year it was sweet
One of three places I go for Mexican food outside of Bayonne. Biggies on Bergenline Ave in Union City still has that excellent flavor. Their tostadas were amazing. The green salsa was excellent and their handmade quesadillas de carñitas was an explosion of flavor. The limonada was perfect, not too tart or too sweet. Great service and not a long wait for food. Even tho the parking is sparse most of the time its worth looking for one to get a bite to eat here.
I don’t like to complain but this place was THAT bad. We originally had plans of going to another Mexican place across the street since it was Cinco de Mayo but they were totally booked so we gave this place a go. This was the worst Mexican food ever. I wouldn’t even give it to my dog. It also came out to be pretty expensive for the same meal we would have gotten across the street for half the price. It’s a no go people.
This was probably the most tasteless dry Mexican food I’ve ever had. I never thought someone could ruin tacos as badly as this place did. This is coming from someone who has been to multiple parts of Mexico. There are much better places in Jersey City to go to and they are cheaper. Don’t waste your money here.

I was excited to go. With my children on a lunch date. Well the food was horrible. The staff was very friendly. The food was not. So late that evening our stomachs started to bubble. Than I started to vomit. I will not refer nobody here sorry.
The food was tasty and reasonably priced. I had the mixed fajitas and steak quesadilla, both were very good. It was my first time visiting this restaurant but I would definitely be going back.

The restaurant is small and has limited seating approximately 4-5 tables. Nothing fancy its your average hole in the wall spot with good food.
I give this place a solid 6/10. If you want better and more affordable tacos go to the taco truck around the corner. The guacamole was severely under salted and the tamales kind of tasteless. Tacos were alright but I’ve definitely had better in the area. Not terrible, but not great.

Great food and service! Margaritas were really good. I highly recommend the Churrasco. Miguel, our server, was mad cool. Will definitely come back.
Recommend. A popular local sit-down, casual Mexican Food shop for quick breakfast, lunch or dinner. Including take out and local delivery options. Biggies has been our favorite for over 5 years. We even watch parades on Bergenline from our table while we eat. Great local bus transport right outside the door. Owner, management and staff are very helpful. The cooks are the best!!
The place was primarily a takeout and catering place. So the eat-in space was small. We had tried the pork tacos and fish tacos. Both were delicious with tons of flavors.

Service was friendly and efficient.

Been going here for years. Best mexican food. Great service. Inexpensive. Consistent. I usually get the Chicken Enchiladas w/ green sauce. Enjoy!

I would not recommend. The food does not have an authentic taste and the customer service is nonexistent. I ordered a “fresh” watermelon beverage, a pork torta and guacamole and chips. The beverage was made from frozen fruit, so that says how fresh it really was. The beverage was 3$, very small and not fresh at all. The pork torta was made with a bread that (if you’re Mexican or have had a Mexican torta would know) is not for tortas, the meat was bland. The torta was 7.50$, decent size but no authentic taste. The guacamole was bland, again I don’t know if they just want you to add the salt or they just don’t really like to season things. Also if you like guacamole you know that one of the ingredients that should stand out the most is the lime, this guacamole had no lime and a really strong onion taste. The best part of this experience was the chips, they were freshly “made” or fried and were served on a nice plate (guacamole & chips 6$). The whole thing wasn’t pleasant and for the money I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. I know they also say it’s a good place for fast food but that isn’t applicable either. Try the Mexican spot right down the street called Taqueria El Paso, they have hand made tortillas, the food taste good and are very friendly.

Food is delicious price is cheap for quality workers could use a class is politeness but other than that great spot they also sell Chinese food
My husband and I came here on a random whim for date night. We were not expecting what we walked into. We've gone by this corner dozens of times without realizing this place existed. Inside it's tiny, limited first come, first served seating and it's super super casual. No frills, no cheesy Mexican decor...it's just about the food. We were there very late on a Sunday and the place was consistently packed with people flowing in steadily for a seat and for takeout. Everyone in the place was raving about the food for good reason. It's simple but authentic and really good! Price can't be beat either....we ordered A LOT of food and two margaritas (which are very strong!!) and our bill was just about $60...not bad at all. We'll be back. Definitely check this place out. Guac and salsa are outstanding
Google has been nudging me towards going here with recurring notifications that they felt this place was a good match for me. I had the enchiladas suizas and a side of refried black beans. They were very good but they are very heavy with the cheese and sour cream. I love both of those things but it is a lot. My wife wasn't feeling well and they were very accommodating in getting her meal to go. Growing up in southern California I know Mexican food elsewhere is generally not what I'd expect but so far the food I had is close enough that I have no real complaints and will try some more.

I called for delivery. Almost an hour had past when I called to check the status. Driver still had not left. 20 more min goes by and driver calls me to tell him he will not bring it to my workplace that I have to meet him because he cannot find parking. A coworker at this time told me she had a similar problem. Almost 90 min to not get food I ordered because I can no longer leave my workplace (lunch is over)to meet the driver is ridiculous. I will not order from here again. I heard the food is great but the customer service is not.

I love this place. We used to order food from here at least 3 times a week before we moved away from jersey city. One of the most authentic and best mexican food to get in jersey city. Veggie burrito, al pastor tacos, chicken burrito and chicken fajitas are our usual order. Ask them to add onion and jalapeños in burritos.
If you love tacos, get spicy pork tacos, carnitas tacos. Great food. Never had bad experience.
Went here for some drunk food adventure. Good value on the food and service is excellent. Overall no complaints.
Recommend for anything from brunch to quick bites to sit down dinners. I think the variety of food options there will satisfy your taste.

Love this place! They have some of the best food in jersey city. Every time i call or come in they know who i am, and are always very nice. And what i like the most about them is that they have great Mexican food and great chinese food, so i always have alot of different choices to choose from lol...
I ordered from Yummy Tortillas through the Beyond Menu App. I was searching for authentic Mexican food when I came across this place.

Now, the menu seemed alright and the prices were good, when the food came it looked good as well. I ordered the Chicken and Steak Special Combo- the rice was warm and cooked well, the steak and chicken were tender, but the salad is very basic, just some lettuce, tomatoes, and cucumber. The meal supposedly comes with guacamole but it did not. It does come with a free soda which is nice! Sour cream was also included. The meal itself could use more seasoning, the cheese I recommend getting on the side, and the meal should be put in a foil container as supposed to a foam one to keep the heat longer.

The Salsa Ranchero at first glance looks nothing special, and the flavor is, well, below average, barely spicy, and watery. It was more of a ranchero soup than a salsa. My speculation is that it was store bought and watered down. This type of salsa is supposed to be hearty, flavorful, definitely not watered down, and somewhat chunky. Oh and side note, I asked for extra hot sauce with my meal and it was a tiny container of their salsa ranchero so, either ask for actual hot sauce or use your own.

In all, it doesn't necessarily taste or look like authentic Mexican food but for the price, it's not half bad.
The delivery time takes awhile even for small orders, be prepared to wait (more than an hour).

If anyone dares think this food is good Mexican then you must love mac and cheese from a box. THEY ADD WATER TO THEIR GUACAMOLE AND SAUCES!! so you are getting their cheap version of food, they try to extend the life of their items. if you are willing to compromise on flavor by watering down items to save a buck, just think about where else they are cutting corners. honestly i should have gone to taco bell or made them myself. so i called to get a refund and return the food that went untouched except for the two bites i immediately regretted. i will attach photos. The owner's response is that other people like their food, it isn't their problem that i did not like it. I paid over 16 dollars for delivery, 2 fajitas, 2 tacos, 1 guacamole. BTW YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR YOUR WATERED DOWN SAUCES. I WILL NEVER ORDER HERE AGAIN. i also do not write a review unless i feel strongly about being swindled and i believe this is the WORST "MEXICAN" I HAVE EVER HAD. DO NOT EAT HERE!!! see the soupy consistency of the "guacamole", see the chicken fajita when i ordered beef, see that there are more onions than meat, see the tortilla is soggy, see that the chicken that they did provide was full of chewy cartilage. GROSS!!!

Good spot for tasty, filling breakfasts. I LOVED the oatmeal pancakes and liked the corned beef hash (though it's not quite as exciting as it looks). The eggs, sausage, and toast were nice but standard. Portions were very large - prepare for leftovers unless you're very hungry.

Service was efficient and friendly, and the atmosphere was nice - lots of locals coming in and chatting, giving it a real neighborhood feel. Décor was simple but nice, and interior was breezy and pleasant.

Good spot for breakfast in the mission.
