The signs used to say Downtown or Uptown 6 🟢on the Bleecker St entrance but changed it. Every single time I enter on the wrong side and have to burrow thru a series of tunnels to get to the right platform. Pls add these back ! It’s so frustrating

The NYC subways have a personality all of the own. In the summer they’re a bit warm, but in the winter that warmth is so welcoming. In heavy rain it’s a great way to avoid getting soaked.

With the new improvements like having access to the Uptown 6 from the lower level platforms the station has significantly improved. It is now a major subway hub.

This station is quiet and only one flight of stairs down from the street. The station is similar to all stations around the city. It appears to be unmanned or at least it was when we were there. You do need to be on the right side of the street to find the entrance. Like all stations it could do with some decent air and some signage to make the stop more obvious as you are looking for it.

Disgusting, and filthy. The combined scent of urine and fecal matter intertwined with the aroma of soured milk permeates this place
One of the "perfect" stations: clean, wheelchair accessible, frequent trains, and free Wi-Fi/cell service. Transfer available to the B/D/F/M via stairs and an elevator.
