This is a great place for visitors to Canberra to understand the layout of the city. This lookout is centrally located and has views across multiple valleys.
You can see many of the major Canberra landmarks, such as Lake Burley Griffin, the city centre, New Parliament House, and Woden. You can also see over to Queanbeyan and the airport, with Belconnen in the distance to the north.
There used to be a kiosk and restaurant here in the past, but it is now closed and fenced off. Maybe it didn't survive COVID.
There is plenty of free parking and public toilets near the kiosk building.
NOTE: my GPS took me to a small lookout area before the main one. For the best views you need to drive to the end of the road that loops around the kiosk building and then up to the main carpark.
There is a viewing walkway running around the edge once you get to the top, just below the road.
This is particularly good to visit in Autumn when the trees turn red and orange.

Good views but Cafe wiith even better views I bet is closed. For how long, I don't know. So no facilities but good views. Worth the experience only approx 5ks from Canberra Centre.

You can see both north and south Canberra from here, but have to be careful picking a place to take photos because of the overgrown trees.
Easy to walk up there. May see kangaroos in the bushes. Or you can directly drive there. Very small place to visit. If the weather is fine, may be a nice place to take some shots of Canberra from above.
Nice spot for a lookout in Canberra. If you like to walk then there are nice pathways to explore and experience the surroundings.
It’s ok, but it’s right inside the military academy so you have to drive or you won’t make it up there (unless you want to run up).

Amazing 360 view of Canberra.. spend time in this garden city.. and story about how this city was born.. very crispy fresh.
