Mereside Farm

We had a lovely time. We stayed in The Shippon for 5 nights and it was fantastic. Very dog friendly. Lovely enclosed courtyard so the dog is always safe. Delicious pork pies too.

Nice stay, with good walks, dog friendly. Only negative is the road noise is a bit loud if you're not use to it. But did spoil anything. Would go back again.

Home away from home even when you come from Australia.. Beautiful location right across the road from the Mere and The Boat House on the Mere restaurant. Walking distance to town, woods and many walks.. The accommodation is clean, warm and very quiet, even when there are other people staying next door, you can't hear them. The kitchen has everything you'd need, comfortable lounge, bedroom and walk in shower in the bathroom. Lovely outdoor area. Nicky is a wonderful host and her husband Rodney makes yummy pork pies and sausage rolls... Really loved our stay in The Shippon. Thank you

Lovely .clean. well laid out rooms. Kitchen well stocked. Countryside beautiful. Have been coming here for years. The owners are friendly and very helpful. Dogs welcome

Brilliant x the owners were lovely x always around so if you needed anything or suggesting places that you could visit which was dog 🐕 friendly x they do allow dogs 🐕 which for us is a good thing x we stopped in a apartment and it was lovely x the kitchen had everything you would need and more they even provided a pint of milk with teas and coffee x what I loved about it was the fact you could do what you want and be left alone x you could come and go as you please x the town is about a 3min drive 🚗 or a 10 min walk away x if you want a break away stay there x we would go again x

Just stayed here for 3 nights.
Loved the place. Location is brilliant and perfect for walks which we loved. The Mere itself is very picturesque.
The apartment was lovely and clean and felt very cosy.
Will definitely be returning soon.

Loved the apartment. Kitchen well equipped. Nice bed linen and towels. Lots of extras, nice coffee and milk. Good parking. Games and puzzles provided. Only negatives - could hear road noise at night and early morn, and slight fishy smell from store room below us. Would use again.
