I lived there for a year, the place was clean, quiet, and had a great gym.
I received my full deposit back at the end of my lease as well.

However, expect rent to increase every year, even if you see other units dropping in price. And management is difficult to reach/slow to respond if you try to negotiate lease renewals.

If you are considering moving here, here are two USEFUL facts: (1) Worried about the CONSTRUCTION SITE in the neighboring parking lot? WELL, YOU SHOULD. It's called 55 Hudson St and it will be 58-story high, and it HAS BROKEN GROUND; (2) Once you are up for RENEWAL, think you can negotiate for a better price? THAT'S IMPOSSIBLE. The management made it clear that the old tenants will be quoted the MARKET RATE, SAME AS NEW TENANT, NON-NEGOTIABLE. Yeah, make your own choice.

Remember when they did “major elevator restorations” to fix the issues tenants have been reporting for years? Less than a month later we are back to 1 functioning elevator, over Christmas, for a 37 story building.

Whilst you can’t blame management for the elevators not working, you rightfully can be frustrated with their lack of communication about this (and many other issues), as well as the lack of any information as to when this problem will ACTUALLY be fixed.

Just be prepared for many minor inconveniences should you live in this building.

It is very low level housing, during last two years every winter/ late fall we have issues with boiler and water. It can be several days in a row without hot water. It is very cold inside appartments, because of blowing from ac, windows and skirting boards. If you do maintenance request, expect wait time for month or so. We have to pay a huge PSEG bills due to get 65-68 F in appartments, using AC and additional heaters as well. There are repeated issues with elevators, once I had to come up with 5 months old baby to 34th floor by stairs.
Terrible garbage smell near building and on the floors.
If you leaving 2-3 years, you can’t get new Washer and drier (it’s so old and bad quality that all my clothes is damaged) because who cares about old tenants.
If you don’t maintain building for 20 years, it is expected that it becomes rusty.

Melvin is the absolute best. He is polite, friendly and pays attention to detail but most importantly, he has a strong work ethic and takes pride in what he does. He effectively fixed the insulation for the heaters in my apartment and even helped to place the wire neatly in the unit so it looks aesthetically pleasing and cleaned up after he was done. Thanks again for your help! We need more people like Melvin around in maintainence 😊

First of all, if you live here for a while you will see that most of the bad comments totally fake, people dig into things that are everywhere!
Before moving here me and my husband walked all around neighborhood, management in most buildings was super irresponsible, they didn’t care at all, but here was totally different, I’m so thankful for Kyle, he’s super professional and nice, he showed us everything, he was responding any email or phone calls just right away before our moving.
Yes, this building is older than some in this area, but the rooms here are way larger in sizes than in new buildings, perfect repair, cleanliness, new fence, very clean around and well-kept.
Also I love very convenient phone application for tenants in which you can solve any question you need, I never had any issues here.
Totally recommend Liberty Towers.
Better come here and see everything with your own eyes!

Stay away from this building!

One major concern is the persisting rotten trash smell emanating from the dumpster in the garage. This unpleasant odor has been a recurring problem, indicating inadequate maintenance or improper waste management. The stench not only affects the overall living experience but also raises health and sanitation concerns.

Additionally, I just spotted a dead rat in front of the entrance this morning and I saw another one in the building just now, which is a serious red flag for any residential complex. The presence of rodents poses health risks and creates an unsafe environment for residents and visitors. I lured her out of the building though.
