Sushi Bar Ajisai

Delicious and not as pricy as authentic sushi restaurants in Vancouver.
The place is not big but I assume that's why they can serve authentic sushi at this price.
I recommend coming early, especially on weekends. We visited here for the first time on Friday at 5 pm. As soon as we sat at the counter there were waiting in line.
There are a variety of Seafood and some of them are from Japan.
I have loved this place from the day I visited the first time.
A little bit awkward spot but it was worth it.

Such an amazing spot I was recommended by my friend who lives in Vancouver. The quality of the sushi was so fresh. My favourite spot in Vancouver from now on. The staff was super friendly as well. I am just astounded by the taste.

😊 I went for lunch and food quality was great. Usually this spot is pretty busy but I was lucky to get a seat after the lunchtime rush. They have a lunch menu which you are required to order from (1 item per person) before ordering other things off their standard menu. But this wasn't a major issue since they had some great choices on the lunch menu which we would've picked anyways.

OK sushi and sashimi. It is overrated from our experience in Kerrisdale. Like most of the sushi restaurants run by Japanese in Vancouver, price is relatively high for the same food in Kerrisdale.

Hidden gem in the heart of Kerrisdale. Sushi is always fresh, and the staff are super friendly and kind. This is my go to place, and although it’s pricey in comparison to others, there’s good reason for it! The quality is unmatched by any other restaurant in the area. The addition of the “2 Go” restaurant has made my errand lunch time sushi even more convenient!

My favorite Japanese restaurant in Vancouver. Have been going there for a long time. Always busy. We have ordered takeout. Taste very fresh. Spicy tuna sashimi is the best in town. Will go again soon.
