Majd Al Muhagrin Hotel

Really bad hotel.

We had so many problems getting a room we pre booked weeks in advance.

The staff at reception had no idea what she was doing and started being rude to my aunt.

We had no place to put our luggage so we could go and do umrah.

The receptionist said, the security at the door can help keep our luggage safe until they find a room for us. We went over to him and had to wake him up, he then said go to the reception. It was all back and forth.

The security at the door went back to sleep so I have no idea why they pay the security, when all he does is sleep. The receptionist also just kept going on her phone, instead of trying to help.

After 4 hrs they gave us one room to store our luggage, it had a very strong smell of cigarettes.

Once we came back from umrah, the rooms were still not sorted, they already confirmed it will be ready by 4 even though we booked them for 10. We came back for 4 and they were still being cleaned, we got our room after 1hr 30 mins of waiting again.

I don't understand why these people are hired. I never leave bad reviews but this was the worst experience I have ever had with a hotel.

Towels are ripped..rooms are smelly..
Bed sheets are disgusting..elevator wait time is more than 20 mints..no tissues in the room..everything is so bad..carpets are dirty..so many crumbs on the floor..curtains are smelly and disgusting..all the 5 stars review are fake nothing like that.

Location wise excellent as it is 10 min walk to Haram and surrounded by shops restaurants etc.
Rooms are ok but washroom is very small. Broken wardrobe. Locked safe.
Only 3 Lifts and gets extremely busy.
Service is extremely poor, despite multiple requests on reception for room cleaning, no one bothered in 5 days. Dirty carpet and bed sheets.

Staffs are very helpful and friendly. Walking distance from Masjid Al Haram.
Rooms are in very bad condition. If rooms were not renovated since the time of my great grandfather, I will not be surprised.
No window option except AC air circulation. Suffocating

Honestly you are better off booking a hotel for an extra 50-100 SR per night instead of this hotel. Its the worst experience I ever had.

For starters, the hotel was completely dirty before even entering it. We called room service four times but they never came. The fridge wasn't working and the staff are completely ignorant.

Please avoid this hotel at all costs!

Pros:
Close to Masjid al Haram
Cheap

Cons:
Dirty rooms: our room had hairs, stains, breadcrumbs, wrappers all over the place.
No room service, our family went to the hotel lobby 10 times since their intercom wasn't even working.
No facilities: our room only had a fridge, an intercom that doesn't work, dirty towels, a dustbin which they didnt replace in 4 days due to which we had to place the trash on the ground.
Bad Environment: environment is full of scammers, beggers and trash

My recent stay at this hotel presented a mixed experience. On the positive side, the location was fantastic, with attractions within easy walking distance. There were plenty of restaurants around, offering diverse dining options, and a nearby grocery store added to the convenience.

However, a notable downside was the bed frame, which made quite a bit of noise, impacting the overall sleep quality. It would be advisable for the hotel to address this issue promptly. On a brighter note, the air conditioning was a standout feature, providing a strong and efficient cooling experience. Despite the bed's noise, the hotel's location and amenities could make it a worthwhile choice, especially for those who prioritize a cool, quiet and comfortable environment. 😊👍
