I think we picked the wrong day to go to The Duke of Clarence and a bad choice of meals. It was one of the hottest days of the year. The Clarence is seemingly not air-conditioned, and it was very warm and uncomfortable. I suppose it adds to the authenticity of an English pub in the middle of summer and no air-conditioning. However, the Sunday roast was great with a generous serving. There are plenty of good drink choices, including wines, cocktails, and English and Australian beers. Next time I am going in winter. Keep in mind it's not kid friendly.

We had a lovely lunch here, and we were very impressed with the food, atmosphere, and service. The roast of the day was turkey and it was really well prepared. My partner had a cocktail and loved it. Will definitely be back.

I visited for Sunday lunch time period and had the opportunity to have a Sunday roast.
It took a while for the food to come out after ordering, and the entrance of restaurant wasn't easy to get to.
It seemed like it was in a rather unexpected place.
It was convenient to eat at the outdoor tables when weather is good condition. Additionally you can eat or drink with friends on the sofa and table inside.
The staff was friendly and took our orders faithfully.
The many pictures or paint frames displayed on the wall was reminiscent of an old pub in England.
The taste was of average quality. The lamb was very good but the beef was average.

From the moment we walked in the door until we left, the entire experience was top shelf. Food was epic, and make sure you get the salt and vinegar toast potatoes, as a highlight to your sunday roast. Some really interesting whiskies on the menu too. Staff were a delight, nothing was too much trouble and they were a good craic. Recommend A++

We were there for Sunday roast. The meat is okay but I find the vegetables most probably was boiled then roast for a while which the roasting flavours are not there, especially the turnip.

2nd time i have been here on a friday night. Extremely busy yet amazing service. The food is incredible.

Have had the Roast Beef with all the trimmings and have had also had the rump steak.

All cooked to perfection.

Good selection of beers and spirits to choose from.
