Excellent food, amazing service and beautiful location! The cocktails are amazing as well. Way better than my disappointing experience at la Nueva palomino where they lie to tourists about not having menu del Dia. Here at la Benita they recommended you great dishes specially shareable ones with a bit of everything enough for a light lunch.

Truly excellent. We were a large group of 8 and had a wonderful time. The food is excellent with incredible local flavours and is the best food we had in all of Arequipa. All dishes came out promptly all together.

Great food! I ordered the Americano it was a huge dish to share. Everything was amazing but I would have rather have a bit more meat.

Someone recommended this place to us so we gave it a try. I ordered the estofado de res which is like a beef stew and an Ocopa. I was pleased with both dishes. Knowing myself and how picky I am with meats and the fat surrounding them, I took the risk of ordering this. The meat was a bit too fatty for me so I ended up picking around the fat and just eating the meat. It had great flavor and I really liked it. The ocopa was also really good and I would recommend it. There’s a nice little plaza which has the chairs and tables set up there. There is also indoor seating which looked nice. They serve you cancha complimentary and it was so good, warm and fresh cancha.

Great little place. Friendly staff and good food.

More expensive than some of the smaller places, but you are paying for a lovely venue, vast menu and good staff.

Recommended. Also because it’s in a nice quiet courtyard off the main city square.

Very delicious homey food. The waiters were very attentive and also explained the story of Benita, who was cooking there and still alive. We took the estofado and the stuffed pepper which were delicious (the pepper was spicy though). We liked the decor and the service.

We read good reviews about the places so we thought of trying it out…specially the local dishes.

First impression everything local a bit overpriced than it would be in other places but the dishes looked good so we decided to stay. Was a bit tricky since they didn’t speak English but since my friend spoke Spanish it worked out, but for none Spanish speakers might be a bit tricky.

Food was served in very good time, drinks were nice, and meals were really tasty and full of flavour.

Great taste, worth trying, depending might be a bit over your budget
